Absolutely outstanding service. The front counter workers were amazing from the beginning when I walked in, directing me to the area they test water, and at the end making sure I had everything and was ready to check out.Their water testing lab was outstandingly fast and accurate. Isaiah is very knowledgeable and understanding in helping people like me who dont know what theyre doing. My pool was what Id call an army green and he helped me turn it back that pretty blue.The chemicals are high grade and while somewhat expensive compared to other stores, completely worth it. Years past Ive used other companies and never gotten my pool clear so quickly. I absolutely adore this company and wont hesitate to come back!

Ida’s remnants filled my pool and skimmer with leaves. I turned the pump off to remove the skimmer basket only to discover the plastic ring around the skimmer was cracked. I cleared the leaves and turned the pump back on only to hear a loud hum. It didn’t work! I consulted with Jacob at Pla-Mor Pools, got the parts I needed and fixed both problems in under 15 minutes. I am back in business. Much appreciated!

I thought they were a pool place. So you would think they would have pools. They do NOT! If you want a pool from them you have to order it this year and get it next year🤦‍♂️. Really? I needed a ladder for a pool I bought elsewhere but they didnt have any ladders and they would not sell the ones on display. So if you are a pool place you would would think you would have pools and pool ladders, but that is not the case. That is like KFC not having chicken or mash potatoes 😕. I guess they can test your water and sell you chemicals but if you dont have a pool, you dont need that service either. So sad 😞

Needing a new in-ground pool liner at the beginning of the pool season is never a good thing, and this year was especially tough with product delays everywhere. The staff at Pla-Mor Pools in Mechanicsville were helpful and patient right from the start of this process, from Julianne (our first wonderful and knowledgeable contact), to Kenny (who provided the quote quickly and came over to measure as soon as we made our decision), to South (who helped us order the liner we wanted), to Jacob (who answered so many questions and got us scheduled as quickly as possible), and finally to Ben and Anthony (who did the liner installation). I was told we’d be swimming the same day our old liner was removed and the new liner was put in, and that is exactly what happened. We’re very happy with the service we received from Pla-Mor Pools and we would highly recommend them for any pool needs.

Installed by a professional and courteous crews.40 years of loyalty boils down to one major factor, SERVICE!Over the years problems occur when you own a pool. Pla-Mor always responded with top notch service, in as fast as 24 hours.A recent example of their service happen in the past few days when we opened our pool. All went smoothly until I went to start the pump. It just would not prime no matter what I did. I knew that they would be busy with opening customers pools for the season. They were backed up until June. Jacob, their service supervisor, called me back later the same day, and taught me Pool Plumbing For Dummies, Part 1. There had to be air leaking in somewhere. His suggestion to tighten all possible connections was spot on the money. Untightened and then re-tightened all possible connections, and yahoo. The pump has been running fine since. Jacobs timely phone call saved me time and money. Its been 24 hours and the the pool is vacuumed and looking great.Once again, great service from Pla-Mor Pools. This is why I will be a customer for life. Highly Recommended!

AMAZING professionals!! Terry and Jimmy came out to my house to install a PC Board. They called to let me know what time they would arrive. They answered ALL my questions about my Hot Tub and even make some checks on it for me. They told me everything they were doing and showed me what I needed to look for going forward. This is my first Hot Tub so I had no clue about anything and if my questions were getting on their nerves I never knew it. I know what company I will be calling for any future business concerning my Hot Tub. You have excellent professionals in Terry and Jimmy!!

Play mor Pools redid the liner for my parents pool. After Play mor installed, we have had absolutely no issues for 2 years. Seems to be holding up well and we are very happy. Their retail location has been a huge help for us in getting our pool ready for the season. They test the water every year and sell on the chemicals to make it right. Jacob has been great to work with and I would recommend their business.

We have been working with PlaMor for going on ten years now. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. We appreciate that they keep their prices competitive. Many times Ive reached out for advice and its always been good.

Pla-Mor Pools is the company that did my pool. It took them two times to finish everything on my pool the right way. Their trucks and machines totally RUINED my yard and it hasnt looked the same since. There is still tire marks and the yard is all messed up.They also hit my familys basketball hoop with their trucks. Their employees would take 3 HOUR lunch-breaks. Guess what happened next. They finished most of the pool with a lot of problems, but, they put the liner in and it had a hole the size of a penny in it. The first time we swam in it, I noticed this hole. We had to put a penny in there to keep it from totally messing up. The pool also was a couple inches too shallow. The employees were horrible, the work was horrible, the job they did ended up being really bad, and the workers did not care about doing a good job but instead getting the job done. At the end of the project, we had to hire someone else to actually do a good job.

My husband and I have used these folks for quite a while. Their service department helped troubleshoot and repair our spa even though it’s not a brand they sell. We had no idea how to take care of a spa, but the folks in their store were super patient and willing to teach us what we needed to do. Highly recommend Pla-Mor Pools!

If you use Baquacil for your pool, its the only place to go. Water testing gives you extensive Baquacil specific results. They test and advise on chlorine pools too of course, but a lot of places arent equipped to properly test Baquacil pools, expertly advise and have all the chemicals you need. They also open and close pools and perform repairs. They sell hot tubs, and Im sure they do a bunch of other stuff, but I go there for my pool. Their repairs and pool opening and closing are all done right. Quality work. No shortcuts.

I was referred here after dealing with a not so friendly pool company. The customer service is fantastic. They dont make you feel stupid when you dont know how to do even the simplest of tasks with the pool. I live in Chester and will continue to make the 30 minute drive to Pla-Mor Pools because I trust my pool and everything involved with it to them.

This place is a damn joke! They may act knowledgeable on the surface but once you dig a little more into a question they are baffled and they need to research, which you dont get an answer to. Additionally, if you need them to do a service call on your spa they will charge you $166 for the technicians time. Absolutely crazy. Lastly, dont waste your time in calling them to fix your spa because they wont fix it but your still getting the bill. The technician that came out to fix my spa said he had no idea what was wrong with it and would not charge. When we relayed this to Pla Mor Pools they said, that is not his decision. Im gong to all social media outlets so people are aware of the outlandish acts of robbery this company permits.

My wife and I knew last summer that our pool liner would need to be replaced. We were not looking forward to doing it because it seemed overwhelming and expensive . Pla-Mor changed that!Sarah was extremely helpful with helping us find the perfect liner and Jacob was always available to answer all of our questions. Our liner was installed by Ben and Austin. They were so professional and the whole process was seamless. She said no and then proceeded to ignore us while we walked back and forth looking at 2 other floor models. Pla mor pools is our new go-to pool service company. Quick response, on-site diagnosis & replacement of defective pump motor, at a comparable cost. Techs explained approach & offered quick tutorial. Also offered suggestions/recommendations for pump maintenance. Service Mgr Jacob followed up w/courtesy call a few days later & answered other pool product qs. Very professional organization. Highly recommend.

I went to pla-mor pools on june1 2018 and i bought the water tech volt fx 4li if you want a handheld pool vac this is the way to go.i used it this morning and i am so happy with the way it works and i had alot of leaves and dirt and it picked up everything and it is so easy to use. the people at pla-mor are so helpful and willing to tell you the truth of what works. thanks to all the employees at pla-mor for making my cleaning the pool so easy u guys are the best. i have been to pool places before and the people at pla-mor are honest. i recommend the volt fx 4li its awesome u will be happy u bought it.

Was sold a lining that was bigger than the size of the pool and the lining crinkled after the first year and eventually pulled away from both sides. Received a call from a linen install inquiry today and the owner Kenny was rude and hung up on me and when I called back an associate asked for my name and placed me on hold and then stated that Kenny was on another line. Very unprofessional and I will never do business with this company again. He then calls back right after this post. What a joke! As far as the reply to the email explaining the age of the lining but not addressing the oversized lining sold or the warranty that he sold us that he refused to cover. We were also charged $150 for you to come out and repair it within the first year that it started having an issue. If you knew that where I live would present an issue then why take my money as a new homeowner of this property and sell me a warranty that you refused to cover?

Theses guys have the best service I have found in town!I did not buy my spa from them but it didnt mater to them.When I was having problems with getting and keeping my water clear they have always been very helpful even when I was very frustrated with my spa.I have tried other spa places and will not go any where but here. They will help you get your water clear and keep it that way. Now because of the great people at Pla- Mor pools I LOVE MY SPA!

We just purchased our above ground pool last month and as new pool owners weve had a ton of questions, especially regarding the chemical combinations. Found a place on broad st. Leslie pools better place and prices,treatment. The treatment was very bad ! Treated us really bad prices keep changing after we buy same things.

My salt system display board went bad after opening the pool for the season. I contacted my pool builder/service store to check if it was still on warranty. It turned out it was and a claim needed to be filed for replacement. I tried to file the claim myself, but had to use an authorized (Hayward) manufacturer service center. My service person said they can file the claim for me but only the part is warranted and not the labor, and it would be $125 do it. The problem is, it literally takes 30 seconds to swap the display. I do understand that they have to send a technician to do it and it costs them time/money. However this was just excessive in my opinion to charge that much.Well I declined and contacted Pla-Mor-Pools. The store manager told me hed look into the particulars of filing a claim and will let me know how wed go about it. I have received a call that same day from Sarah who said that theyre working with a regional sales rep to get this part replaced so I dont have to wait for it to be shipped (since the store didnt have it in stock). The next morning she called again asking if Hayward sales representative has a permission to enter my backyard and replace the part. I asked, how much would it be and was told, no cost. I couldnt believe it! I came back from work and voila- new display. Pla-Mor-Pools did all this for me free of charge. I wasnt even their customer, they didnt service my pool nor did I shop in their store....And yet they came through for me. What a customer service! Its a shame my own service store/builder that I paid tens of thousands of dollars to just a few years ago wasnt interested in providing similar service to his customer. Nobody offered to call the sales rep they buy from locally and check if he could help....Why bother - wheres the profit in that...Somehow Pla-Mor-Pools was willing to go the extra mile.....Thank you very much Pla-Mor-Pools. I will not look anywhere else for my swimming pool needs from now on.

I have a swim/spa and stop in several times a year to test the water at season start up and when the chems go cattywampus. The people at the Ashland store have always been helpful whether I needed chems or not. They never pressure me to purchase anything even if the test says I need a particular chem. Let me make this point: they never pressure me to buy before I leave and have always been patient and explained my test thoroughly. Huge plus for Pla-Mor Pools!My only criticism of Pla-Mor in Ashland is that the store is very disheveled, appears dirty and unorganized. I get it, its not a showroom but it shouldnt look like a storage shed either. Every time I go there it looks like its going out of business. I get very worried because there arent any pool supply stores close. You cant test water over the internet... I have several types of test kits but its always nice to get that check and balance and some good advice on how to fix an algae bloom and why it happened.Thank you Pla-Mor for all you do and your help but, got clean your room :D

We purchased and installed our pool in the Fall of 2011 and have worked with PlayMor each year since. We are very pleased with the support and advice weve received. Their water testing service has been spot on and Im sure a primary reason our water has remained crystal clear. We use the Baquacil CDX system and have been very satisfied.

Plamore put in our pool in 2003 and we have been very happy with the level of service rendered by them.

I love everything about them.If i had known how easy it would have been to maintain a crystal clear pool water enviroment, we would have purchased the inground pool. Our family, friends and nieghbors compliment on how well our pool looks everytime they come over...(coarse this is a great head sweller) but i do confess, to all how well im treated everytime i walk in with a water sample to be annilized, how thier professional and knowledgeable staff are. Pla-Mor pools has been a tremendous help for us with the opening and maintenance of our pool throughout the year. Again this year when we opened our pool, given the amount of rain and up/down temps, farms with crop sprayers nearby, it was a mess. The water was green, actually untestable at first. We worked with Jacob right from the start and four days later, were able to go swimming in the pool. Jacob is by far the most knowledgeable, patient, informative and personable associate when it comes to pool support. We have labeled Jacob as “super chemist” when he is involved with providing the guidance/direction of steps and quantity of “correct” chemicals needed for each situation to get the pool ready for use and throughout the season. We mention “correct” chemicals since there are many algaecides for example and guessing which one is the appropriate one to use given a situation, there is no guessing when working with Jacob. Thanks again to Jacob and Pla-Mor pools.

I have dealt with the Mechanicsville Pla-Mor since 1998, we researched all the local pool stores to have a pool built and have help taking care of it. Having a national chain like Pla-Mor was a plus, but what really made our minds up was this is a family owned business! A father has started it, passed it on to his sons, and now their sons are learning the pool biz! With all these decades of knowledge how can you go wrong? They have seen ALL the products and ALL the pool problems over the years! I can honestly say that my experience owning a pool has been a pleasant one, because of the well trained staff, and the attention given to the customer. Pool schools are available, as are the latest in pool technologies. A well trained staff is the key to any successful business, at this Pla-Mor everybody can answer your questions with the background of decades of pool knowledge professionals to back them up!
