I was so blown away by this place. It’s a store that you always imagined in your head but thought “there is no way it could possible exist”… it is that and more. Toys, books, and most importantly a wonderful staff. You need to take your whole family to this cultural treasure.

Doesnt get any better than Park Street Books. The store carries everything from books (a fantastic selection of both new and used - for children, teens and young adults) to games, puzzles, toys, trinkets, and art supplies. Theres also a room to paint pottery and a few little nooks to curl up and read. Jim James, owner, is one of a kind and the staff hes put together is superb. Park Street book is - all around - just a FABULOUS place to shop/read/paint/visit.

This place is run by one of the kindest, most creative and happy people I know. He has a smile for everyone and does his best to remember customers names. Jim carries the latest in childrens toys and books. It is always fun to stop by and see whats new. Great place to buy birthday and Christmas gifts! (I have even been guilty of buying some things for myself!)The other side of the store is a pottery painting studio. I have been meaning to bring my two young nieces here for an afternoon. So much fun. All the young salespeople are happy and helpful too, without that high pressure sales pitch that is so common in other stores. If you have an hour or so, stop in and take a peek. Youll be happy you did.

I would work here for free. This is the BEST place to buy childrens books in Massachusetts. The used books are top-quality and the owner, Jim, is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

I love this bookstore 💗 The staff is so pleasant and helpful. I could spend hours browsing through the rooms of new and used books. Whenever I need a childrens birthday gift I always come here as they carry some very unique and practical gifts beyond traditional toys(they have some of those too😉). Definitely a gem! You should take the time to stop in!

Great store with a variety of books, games, crafts, and toys. Everything is well organized and the staff is great at helping you located items or seeing when items will be back in stock. There is free gift wrapping available which adds to the appeal.You wont be disappointed in the selection and the location is easily seen from the main road. Just remember there is parking in the back as well.

Please support this local Childrens bookshop and pottery studio. They have wonderful gifts and lots of fun, quirky things throughout the store that make it hard to leave. Had a bday party for my kids their once in the pottery studio and it was well run, cost-effective and fun. Please visit.
