My car was having problems with starting. Two places said that the battery and alternator were good, one of those said the starter was good.So I took my car to Specialized Auto, after tracking down wiring issues looking for a ground wire weakness. They told me it was the starter. They searched suppliers and found me a rebuilt starter at a more workable price. They saved me almost $900.00....FOREIGN CARS ARENT FOREIGN AT SPECIALIZED AUTO!!!

Specialized has been servicing our vehicles since we moved to Southern Oregon from the San Francisco Bay area eleven years ago and cant think of anyone who is more thorough and professional in servicing our vehicles. Recently I had to have my 2002 BMW towed to their facility and not only did they diagnose the issue that caused the tow, they took care of all of the deferred maintenance I had been putting off because of the pandemic (with my permission, of course). My 19-yea-old car now drives like its only 19-days old! Added to their excellent service, my vehicle was returned to me as clean as it was the day I purchased it, including my tire rims (the car wash never totally cleaned them). I always receive an itemized bill and both my husband and myself receive periodic email reminders when certain service items should be taken care of on our respective vehicles.

These guys are simply the best. I believe the biggest statement to their upstanding values and diligent work is that three generations of my family all entrust our vehicles to them. They have saved my family members from unscrupulous behavior by other mechanics in the valley. For example, my mother was quoted ~$800 for parts/labor at a certain large local dealership to fix a rattle in her dash. Specialized found out it was just a nut that needed to be tightened and they fixed it for a fraction of the cost. Russ and Devon, the father/son owners, always shoot straight, are friendly and welcoming, and their technicians do the highest quality work. Joel specifically was very helpful and thorough during an inspection of a car I bought. I recommend these guys to anyone who will listen.In summary: This is the place to bring your car for maintenance in southern Oregon.

I can’t express enough how thankful I am for Russ and Devon and their team of mechanics. I brought my vehicle to them after the dealership wanted to charge almost $1200 to fix an issue with my rear axle seal and brakes. I brought it over to Specialized instead and saved nearly $900 after they inspected it and found out the rear axle seal was just fine. Russ and Devon were both respectful, communicative, professional, and most of all, honest. I felt very comfortable trusting them to care for my vehicle. I wasn’t spoken down to as I sometimes feel as a woman. I was respected and they explained things to me clearly and professionally. I seriously cannot recommend them enough! This is the only place in Oregon I will ever trust my vehicle. Thank you guys!!!

We take our vehicles to Specialized for lube-oil-filter change (LOF) every 3-5K miles and they let us know what additional preventive maintenance is needed. Over the past 30+ years that has been much more cost effective than an “extended warranty” and our cars NEVER break down! We use Specialized exclusively and strongly recommend them to friends and family members.

Had a transmission fault due to gear selector damage and they got it fixed and working great.

Great shop and great people. They are knowledgeable, honest, fair and courteous. They deserve more than 5 stars. We highly recommend this shop.Our car broke down in the middle of the night and working with AAA found a shop that might be able to service our Volvo (not easy in southern Oregon). After sleeping part of the night in the parking lot we were there when they opened. Even though they were totally booked they found a way to squeeze us in and see if they could get us on the road. They quickly found our thermostat was malfunctioning, the water pump had failed, and one of the hoses blew off. They explained everything clearly, scrambled to find parts, and got us on the road that afternoon. In addition, they noticed the timing belt needed replacing and since it was uncovered we got that replaced for basically the cost of the belt versus an expensive service.Beyond how they fixed the car they treated us great. They noticed we looked hungry, so first thing they directed us to a great local restaurant to get some breakfast while they diagnosed things. Then since it was going to take a good part of the day to fix things they offered us a loaner car so we could go explore nearby Jacksonville -- so we took a hike, wandered some shops, laid in the park and had a great lunch. They turned what would normally be a miserable experience into a relaxing and enjoyable day. This seemed to fit with how they treated everyone who came in -- with respect and compassion. We would highly recommend this shop.

These guys are awesome! They were just going to do front axle replacements and replace my oil pan and then ended up:-Doing both of those-Draining, cleaning and replacing my transmission fluid-Hooking my car up to see why my engine light was on, which was because my O2 sensor is getting old-Replacing my O2 sensor for parts only and not labor-And a free detailing inside and outEven with all of the extra stuff they ended up working on, it cost less than my original two problems had been quoted anywhere else.They went so above and beyond! They truly just want to make sure everyone drives away in a safe car without any problems. Will definitely be recommending them to all of my friends.

Great service and they saved us 7,800.00! We bought a gently used VW bug from dealership within a couple months we had a problem,dealership said we needed a new clutch 2000.00 later we had another problem Dealership said we needed a new transmission, 8000.00. We said no, and drove directly to Specialized. They diagnosed our problem fixed it at the cost of 200.00. It has been months ago and we have not had any problem. These are the most honest and professional mechanics I have ever had work on my cars.

Ive been taking my Saab 9-5 here for a few years, and I have been very pleased with all of my experiences. They do a great job whether it is a big or minor repair. Ive been especially impressed by their ability to diagnose issues and fix things quickly.

Ive had work done on my car on 3 different occasions. Every time these people have been forthright & honest with any diagnostics & then very quickly got my vehicle back on the road, on two occasions for less than the original quote. My Dad & I are very happy with all the work done & have no reason to go elsewhere. Its a refreshing change to find an honest group of people who dont try to take advantage of customers who are not mechanically minded..I would definitely recommend them.

Best service I have ever received. Other repair facilities said a total valve job at $2500 was required. Specialized had us up and running and DEQ certified for $313. Highly recommended! !

Typical money hungry people that dont no much. Took a car there that they said wouldnt cost more than $200 to get running. Well make long story short. They couldnt figure out what was wrong with it put parts on it did not need charged a single working mother $380.00 dollars that she had to have the car towed to her home since they now wanted close to a thousand dollars to try to figure out how to get this car running. She had a good friend who is mechanically inclined looked at the car had it running after finding the problem total cost $60.00.. A good mechanic who cares about the work he or she does and the accomplished work he or she has achieved makes for for a real true honest mechanic/person. Bottom line here these guys did not no what was wrong with the car and instead of doing what was right by not charger this lady for things she did not need or things the said they would do. I dont no how some people sleep at night. I also called better business and I was told this was not the first time about these people. There was two other complaints same issues...??
