Excellent house made boneless Buffalo wings. Loved them! Also staff was attentive and atmosphere was comfortable. I would definitely recommend.
My family usually like to take a trip to the Medway cafe.. tonight Halloween we went and were seated given a menu that had something sticky and gross inside.when I asked the waitperson to another menu please she ripped it out if may hand and was rude to all of us the rest of the meal..for 129 dollars Ill definitely go somewhere else..rude rude rude
This place is a local treasure lots of great memorabilia on the walls the staff is always extremely friendly the owner is the type that comes out and genuinely checks on you to see how everything is going. menu has a great amount of diversity drink specials are amazing and the vibe is casual and friendly. pricing is on point not some place that is trying to pretend that its actually in downtown Boston when its not.
Love this place. Food is consistent. Always a good beer selection, especially for an IPA fan. But, Midge and Mark, they make every experience here awesome.

Been going here for a while and normally very dependable. Visited this Sunday as the kids eat free promotion is great value for a family. For some reason even though we ordered two adult entrees, because one of them was a special (but actually on menu) only one of the kids meals was deducted when the check came. Disappointing given the principle and likely won’t be going back again…
The steak and cheese was terrible. It was cheap steak full of hard fatty cartilage and grizzle. Maybe the other food is better but I wont be back. gross!
The food was good the food was very good we got our food at a good time we didnt wait long but! When it came time for the bill the waitress walked over to the table paid attention to the table across from us put our bill down on the table I tried to get her attention and she just walked away and went towards the back the kitchen area we waited and we waited and she didnt come back I was heading back home far away so I was about to get up when I noticed that one of the knives that were giving to us for the silverware still had a piece of food stuck to it I brought it to the attention of the maitre d Im not sure if she let anybody know or she just put it in the back in the meantime another waitress went out and got a hold of our waitress who was in the back who finally came out to get my card to cash me out nobody asked how my meal was at the end nobody asked how everything was I paid my bill and left a $10 tip theres a little bit going wrong the food was good
The food is good. The service is great. But some foods I get are way to salty I cant Handel to much salt. Like the prime rib. It was very good but couldnt eat it all. The juices it was to salty. Now I dont know if that is how it is made. And the fish in chip how can you put something grease on a paper knapkin it rips through when eat it or cut it. I dont enjoy eating paper with my food

The place itself is great in terms of overall look and feel. Feels very local, very energetic, lots of interesting specials that are frequently rotated. Great drinks, excellent staff. The food itself is very strong in variety--definitely a something for everyone place--but the quality ranges from average to above average. (Except the clam chowder: I dont want to know how they make it or where they get it because it is a standout for me, and I take my chowder seriously. I get it every time I visit.) Overall though, its good, and definitely a place where you can bring out-of-town relatives to give them a flavor of Medway.

My fiance, myself and sons family had dinner here on a Saturday night. No reservations taken but we were able to walk in with six people at six PM and were promptly seated. Good food selection. Wide range of drinks. Burgers, sandwiches, full dinners, salads, appetizers etc. quickly received our food and weren’t rushed Lots of color on the walls. Fun place

We placed an order online. First of all the selection is huge. When we arrived there was very clean signage for where to go for curbside pickup and the food was ready when it said it would be. The portions were large and tasted great.

I used to go there all the time, my wife has been sick so we thought we would order the fishermans platter, we got 5 scalloped, an handful of french fries, 3 onion rings, a piece of fish that my had was bigger,No Coleslaww, lemom wedge .and clams that were burnt. For over 30.00 . My wife was so sad that the food and portions were not the same..wish owners know ! Not happy! !!! Wont go back !!!

Service was terrible, bologna sandwich tasted awful, took forever to get food and received beverage as we were leaving, they were only speedy with the check and kept forgetting we were even there.
Staff was nice and the drinks were good. Food was bland and the meat was tough in both our meals would not order food there again.
An excellent job is being done to accommodate social distancing the food is as delicious as ever. The service its always great. I feel really enjoyed my visit.
We ordered a bunch of things as a party of seven. Onion rings tasted like fish, burgers were overly done even though ordered medium, tenders were hard and cold, and the fajitas did not even sizzle when they came out, they were COLD. The pot roast beef was as hard as a hockey puck, and the potatoes did not even have the “eyes” off of them. Server was OK to say the least, never going back.
A last minute stop at a new place.....we were not disappointed and will definitely be back.

Medway cafe a local eatery catering to the family and casual diner. Why, you ask. The food is good and restaurant staff knows what business they are in. The place is always busy and often times you need to wait for a seat. That is always a great sign. The menu at Medway Café is not large and overwhelming.

Social distancing was great, plastic shields were hung above each booth, masks required when not eating, contact tracer list available, limited table time to 90 minutes, and throw-away menus. All employees kept their masks on at all times. The menu was still extravagant and delicious. They still have the Italian tuesday special and plenty of seasonal drinks and specials.

Gotta go on Wednesday’s best Italian food ever, guy I work with just moved to Medway a little while ago and this is his go to spot. Ice cold bud light I mean these beers are frigid I had to go out to my truck and get mittens just so I could get a nice buzz. This food was unbelievable I left in awe when I got home I stared out the window for like 15 mins then said screw this; went back and got the prime rib special. I hate moderation and the Medway cafe is the best restaraunt in the state
I ordered the chicken Quesadilla DINNER WITH ONION RINGS for $15.99 to go, when I got home i had chicken fajitas NO ONION RINGS, which I was truly looking forward too! I am very disappointed !
Updated - previously rate 4 stars on 2 lunches. Downgraded to 3 stars based on our 3rd visit and the following... We had the high top seat right accross from the window door to the kitchen. I watched the cook eat food while cooking, thats a huge no no! And the manager/owner(?) was in the kitchen durring because he came out shortly after... he kept coming out and walking by us and never once acknowledged any customers. He also wad at the door when wer were leaving and he nor the 4 girls at the front said thank you nor good bye. They also have kitchen staff with a beard, no hair net, gross!Dinner Saturday night (heat wave, not too busy)... The waiter was new he said. Im not going to fault him for newness, what he lacked he made up for in personality/had fun with us.Got fajitas, would not recommend 1) no seasoning 2) same grilled chicken as I had on my salad, 3) the chicken didnt even seem to be cooked with the veggies 4) he asked for it super well done as you can see in the photos, barely cookedHad the cob salad, was good, but not as good as at lunch time.Lunch - 4 stars... 1st time, loved it! Cobb salad was great. Complimentary chicken tortilla soup was great. So great we went back the next day for the same thing. The waitress on day 1 wasnt too friendly, but the waiter on day 2 was AWESOME!We will definitely add it this restaurant to the rotation... maybe not now....

Good food and service. Prices are reasonable and there are many great food and drink options, definitely something for everyone.
We got the fried calamari (which I usually would never do in a cafe) but it was actually really good. The batter was crispy and they fried it perfectly without being greasy at all. It comes with a sundried tomato topping which was good, and its got lemon and parmesan on top with garlic and oil on the bottom-- definitely Italian style.
Food & atmosphere are great but need more than one option (butternut squash) as a vegetable. Every other restaurant I’ve been to has broccoli as an option but this one. They used COVID as an excuse but how difficult is it to have broccoli. Mushy butternut squash is not a popular choice-but we had no choice

We moved out of the area 4 years ago, and ate here while visiting. It hasnt changed, still a great menu, including great seasonal salads and great service. A real gem, we miss it. Menu has something for everyone, plus a large beer list. Terrific place.
Never fails to deliver really good food. Recently remodeled, we wanted to make sure the food was still great. Took some friends from out of state there recently and we were all impressed with the quality of the seafood, whether scallops, haddock, shrimp, etc. great beers and burgers too. Service was excellent. Medway Cafe serves up very good food. Just wish it was not as noisy.

Visited unexpectedly today for lunch...craving fried clams and heard theirs were good. For $22.00 about half the whole clam plate was filled with strips...now I wish I had said something while there so they could have seen what I am talking about. All of the staff were very friendly and everything else was great....the whole belly clams....not so much.

Depending on the time of day, there is typically a waiting line to get in. This is a testament to the food! They have multiple TVs airing local sports, a sizable bar - typically full. The menu has very many options, and interesting daily specials. My favorite includes the seasonal salads with corn bread croutons that are DELICIOUS! Winter salads had gingerbread croutons. So good! Good burgers. Good chicken dishes. Good fish options. I have never been disappointed here. Although they employ a lot of local, young teens, the service is typically above par. They are trained well.
A hidden gem for a weekday luncheon in a party of 6. A little pricey for lunch ($11-19 entrees) but specialty salads, sandwiches and burgers available and full bar. Interesting pub tables with elevated seats and foot rails for the younger crowd, booths for us older folks. Movie posters for wallpaper. Large portions of well seasoned food. Might be a hot spot with trivia at night
This place is always busy. Yes the reason is it is a great local restaurant. Food and service is always good and the beer is frosty cold and the bartenders are totally awesome and always friendly.
Been going to Medway Cafe for years. I love the new interior and menu. A lot of quality food options and very decent portions as well. I love the seasonal drink specials at the bar as well. The cucumber martini was very good! Great choice for families, alone or a low key date!
This restaurant reminds me that independent restaurants can be amazing! My wife and I usually go to chain restaurants because its usually more consistent and we know what were getting. On this list the food was awesome, the appetizers were half price so we got two, when we usually dont even get one, and got desert, all for a very reasonable price. Best of all the Medway Cafe had a person making balloon animals, and she was really good! My wife got a turtle 🐢 In summary - great place!
I got a to go order for my Mom last night around 4:30, ordered a scallop dinner with a sweet potato, I also asked for squash but wasnt in there, I thought you get tater sauce w seafood, there was honey mustard! I asked for a roll, she said they didnt have any...very disappointed...and so skimpy! Tuesday, July 16, 2019...I will never do business there again.
This place has consistently great food and average prices. The service is outstanding and food quality is right up there. The atmosphere is Pub style but it is very open and noisy, that would be my only complaint. They have the BEST seasonal salads you will ever eat! Most of the time if your dining during popular hours there is a wait but it moves rather quickly. They also offer a rewards club, and being a frequent dinner its awesome!
Eat the burgers and crinkle fries. Delicious. Try other things at your own risk. Prices are good, spacious so usually little waiting. Good for little ones except booths are high tops and they dont have tall high chairs so if needed you might wait for one of the few short tables.
Delicious food and great atmosphere. Wednesday night special is a fav in my family. Their salads are really good and the bar has a great selection.
The food is always good here! Never regretted an order. Staff is always on the ball and managers are always making their rounds checking on tables. The rewards club is well worth it and I would highly recommend this for families. Priced right and good food.
