I had a great experience with my recent carpet installation from Great Southeast Flooring. First, the sales person Zach Green was very helpful with picking out the right carpet. He explained all the options and helped me pick the one that fit my budget. Secondly, the installation crew Mark and Todd were great. They were on time, very courteous and polite. They moved all the bedroom furniture out with care and respect to the rest of the condo. After the install was complete they replaced the furniture to its original position and cleaned up completely. The new carpet looks great and Im a happy customer.

I had gone to Great Southeast Flooring in Melbourne to check out their selections of carpeting for my 3 bedrooms, hall and stairs. I met with Adrian, Sales Manager, who, not pressuring me at all, was showing me various selections for the needed areas. Once I decided on the selection he made an appointment to come out and measure. He was right on schedule for the appointment to my home, which confirmed that I had indeed chosen the right carpet business. After signing off on the Contract, he told me that he would notify me once he knew when the carpeting would arrive at his store. Well, he indeed did just that. Per our conversation, he informed me that it would be a two day install, so we agreed on which two days would work for both of us. The installers showed up, neat and clean, and as I was showing them the areas, I mentioned I had two futons which I would need help moving around and the bifold doors removing and replacing. Mark and Todd couldnt have been more accommodating ! Also, once they finished a room, they would vacuum so it would be all set for me to just put the remaining furniture back. I had removed the bedroom doors to make it easier for them, and again, they, without and hesitation put them back for me! Absolutely love our new COREtec vinyl plank flooring from Great Southeast Flooring America. When we first walked in the showroom we were a bit overwhelmed with all the choices, they have hundreds of samples! But our salesperson, Ken Green, explained the differences and really helped us narrow down our options. Ken met us at our home with our 5 favorites and we made a decision while he measured. We chose the Caspian Oak which looks stunning. Our installers were on time, professional and did a great job. They laid the flooring over our existing tile, put all the furniture back in place when finished. They also replaced all the baseboards with a new taller style. It looks like a new home! We thought about doing this for so long, we are thrilled we finally made the decision and highly recommend Flooring America.

We are very pleased with the whole experience of changing our flooring in our house. Initially Ken met with us in the store, answered questions, made recommendations before coming to our home with samples and further discussions of our needs and wants. Everyone involved in the process from the gentleman that delivered the flooring product to the installation team of Ken and Robert were very professional and courteous. We had also had the members of Green Frog Moving help expedite the process by removing the furniture from the house. I cant sing their praises enough. The flooring is absolutely beautiful but what makes or breaks the product is the way the flooring is installed. I dont care how much money you spend or the quality of the product you pick, the way its installed and the attention to details makes the finished product a work of art and ensures its longevity.

The salesman Ken Green was very knowledgeable but not high pressure. He gave me information that allowed me to make the right flooring choice. I was able to view a sample in my home. Installation occurred on time at my convenience. Installers definitely knew what they were doing, were well supervised and left things neat and clean. We have dealt with GSFA 3 times over 20 years. All 3 times we received wonderful customer service. The products we purchased were first carpet and now wood floors. I have been in customer service for 20+ years. My experience started with Jordon the sales consultant. He was very professional and polite. He was very knowledgable and helpful on helping us pick out flooring and was great to work with, offering advice and was thorough with everything he did. He came out the same day (Saturday) @ 4:30 p.m. to measure the inside of our home. Then came time for the install. The install team showed up on time, Mike (a.k.a Slick), Anthony and Van were great and did such a wonderful job. The first day there were several people so I did not get everyones name. Mike and Anthony did the vast majority of the Luxury Vinyl install and a few others on and off stopped by to get the work done. They also installed new baseboards which came out great, Anthony is a master caulker!After the Vinyl plank install the carpet guys came in and they were just as professional and friendly as the first crew was. Jim and Jared did an outstanding job on the carpet install, after they were done they asked if I needed any help to put my furniture back to which I declined, but I appreciated the offer to do so.I am so pleased with way the floors look. I wish the pictures could do it justice, the floors are actually a light grey but in the pictures due to the off white/yellow lights it shows up differently on camera than in person.I would highly advise to not bother to shop anywhere else and just go with them, you will be so happy you did. GSFA is a great company and I happen to know they are very involved in supporting our local community and non profits. A+ GSFA, your employees and instal team are fantastic.Lastly, I had to stop by the store to ask some additional questions and I met with Joe since Jordon was out at a customers home. Very happy with Southeast Flooring! We had very professional help in picking out the best tile for our bathrooms. The installation team was amazing! They contacted me about the time of scheduling and kept to the schedule with no problems That was a relief because I work and cant really change my schedule. They were very careful during demolition to cover everything and clean up. The tile work itself is perfect. My husband is hard to please and he is very happy. The price was good for what we had done.

Outstanding support and customer from the moment we walked in the show room, to the home visit for measuring, and through the installation of both plank flooring and carpeting. From start to finish everything was A+++. Normally I dont write reviews unless my experience with a company is BAD, but in this case I felt the need to write one for Flooring America cause from the salesman (Ken Green) to the installation techs (Kyle & Dustin) I was treated with respect, honest information about the type of flooring I picked (LVT/LVP), kept up to date on everything from order status to delivery of the flooring to the installation date and time. Ken was very knowledgeable and honest with flooring materials to the maintenance of the flooring and had many suggestions as well ( pointed out many faults with different materials and maintenance). I appreciated the honest opinion as he didnt try to push or fast sell me anything. Pricing was very fair and not far off from the big box stores. I prefer mom and pop type stores over big box stores and Flooring America has been in business just as long as some of the big box stores. Kyle and Dustin were a treat as well. From the time they entered my home the work began for the next 6 hours with no breaks, or lunch time. They worked well together and very organized. The work they performed was done with much care and all my questions were answered by both gentlemen. No mess no nothing was left behind as they left me with a VERY PROFESSIONAL installation job. Both men were/are very clean cut and were well mannered that you would feel comfortable having your children around. I cant say enough...the results was amazing. I would definitely recommend Flooring America especially Ken as you salesman and request Kyle and Dustin as your installer, a great team of professionals.

Stopped in the store to look at tile, luxury vinyl planks and carpet. J. came out 3 weeks ago and measured our home. I never heard from or seen her since. What a waste of my time, especially since Im on a strict time crunch to complete this project. Yesterday, I saw the flooring America car on the next street over from me.. SMH There loss, I took my 35k to Buffkin!Update: I absolutely did not receive any messages. If I did I would have called you back, as I stated I have a strict timeline. We just moved to Florida and our new home badly needed flooring. I contacted Ken Green at Flooring America and the rest is history. We visited his showroom several times and Ken was always very patient and never pushy, but was extremely helpful in picking out the right kind of flooring as well as the color scheme. He took into consideration our budget and the very, very important fact that we have a large, older dog. Our new floor is more quiet and softer when you walk on it. We had one of the best experiences dealing with Flooring America of Melbourne Florida. Zack Green took excellent care of us. After listening to what we were looking for he showed us a beautiful 20 x 20 tile that we both loved. He also suggest a fireplace tile that complements the floor tile and is very unique. There service and the tile team they sent were excellent and did the best job we have ever seen. They were neat and extremely knowledgeable on how we might want to proceed. Their skill as tile layers was exceptional. They cleaned and restored the house to better than new. We are very pleased and highly recommend this group for your tile needs. We had over a thousand feet of tile. Zack also suggest ed we consider using Dust Free Tile removers of Central Florida and we took the suggestion and hired them to remove our old tile. Great prices, was able to get carpet scheduled for install very quickly

This is an ABSOLUTE CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE.We contracted this company to remove and re-tile nearly 80% of our 2,300 square foot home after having just undertaken a complete kitchen remodel. Upon installation, our brand new $3,000 fridge was dented by these floor installers. We notified their team-lead and was told someone would be contacting us to take care of the damage. Never heard from anyone! Fast-forward a year later and now all of our grout is coming up and needs completely re-grouted. We reached out to them for MONTHS and MONTHS before we were able to have them out to re-grout. This week, after having social distanced alone since their crew came through our house, we discovered SEVERAL expensive prescription medications missing from all of our medicine cabinets. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY TO DO A QUALITY JOB AND DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO BE HONEST.

We were finally totally pleased with our carpet selection and the eventual installation team. The original installers arrived at our home with a broken vehicle; they did not work the job that day and there was not another team available to complete our job that day. I understand that you can not know when your vehicle is going to break down but this vehicle showed up in very bad condition...I feel that Flooring America should ensure that their installers have reliable vehicles.I also feel that the customer should receive a courtesy call either the night before the install as to what time they should be expected or the morning of the install; as the second team of installers did.Since our installation we have not heard from Flooring America.

Worst company—to many good companies to choose from stay away from this one—-2 years later they have never fixed the problems their tile guys did—horrible tile guy,first day on the job I asked him if he wanted to leave—things just got worse$20,000.00 later they just don’t care. We had carpet replaced with wood flooring by Southeast Flooring America twice and were very pleased with the entire process from the first meeting with Ken until the completion of both projects. So when we decided to replace the tile flooring in our home we went back to see Ken. He was very helpful in helping us select the new tile. When the new tile was completely in we had concerns related to the installation. I expressed those concerns to Nelson the owner by phone. Two days after that conversation, in our home to see our concerns were Nelson, another gentleman who I believe was a General Manager and another gentleman who was a representative of the tile manufacturer. After they saw what we were concerned about and much discussion about our expectations of the tile we had selected, I was asked “what can we do to make you happy”? Never had I expected that question! Several options were discussed. A resolution was arrived at and it was much more than we had ever expected. Once again we are very satisfied customers and I will continue to recommend Southeast Flooring America to friends and neighbors. I have never known a company that stands behind the “customer satisfaction” like they have for us.

We went to Flooring America to look at carpet and vinyl flooring that was being recommended for “freshening up” our home that is on the market. Jo Esser assisted us in finding the samples, but also in providing solid advice regarding what is current in homes and the difference in quality of products for our needs. She was quite friendly and helpful, and we appreciate the time she took with us!

We came into the store looking for vinyl plank flooring. We met with Scott (sales rep) and he was easy to work with and gave us all the advantages to working with Flooring America. Scott then came out to the house with samples and we chose the one we liked best. The gentleman delivered the floors to us on time and was very polite and curtious. He reminded us of our installation date and time. On the scheduled installation date Jimmy, Chris, and Scott (installer) arrived on time. They worked for three days from 8:30-7:30 to get our job done. Chris made sure that every detail was looked at and done correctly. All three guys did a great job and every night cleaned up the space.We are very happy that we decided to go with Flooring America and will refer to family and friends.

Great Southeast Flooring just made me a very happy lady/wife. We went to Southeast to see their products. We were amazed at how much they had to offer. They offered to bring samples to our home, at no charge . We were able to pick our flooring without a high pressure salesman. Samples were plenty to pick from. Everything was explained from their removing our furniture, laying our flooring and replacing all furniture back to their original place with protective pads attached to all furniture. Today our salesman Ken came by to see the results and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. You can not ask for anything better.

Very helpful in recommending major upgrades to our Carpet & Tile. Two floors of work were done quickly and efficiently by professionals who knew exactly how to do the jobs. The end result is great and we could not be happier. Work was done as per schedule with no delays and all problems (its inevitable that unplanned things happen) encountered during the installations were handled quickly and to our satisfaction. We were kept appraised of any issues encountered and were given options on how to address the problems. The installation crews were great to work with and I would be happy to use them again in the future.

I have had an issue with my floors for 8 months. I have tried reaching out to the manager in charge numerous times by phone and email no response. If this is how they stand by their name it is not acceptable. I have been told this will be resolved back on 8/19 still waiting to here from them.

I picked out a fewcolor samples and Ken brought the large boards to my townhouseso I could see what the flooring looked like in the house. We came into Flooring America looking for a good laminate but thankfully after talking to our sales person about our lifestyle, she suggested a product that looked like laminate but was more durable and waterproof! We have three large dogs and a grandchild that are constantly on the move and making a mess. We ended up purchasing the Coretec product that was suggested and we are so happy!! Lack of communication and perceived delay in ordering tile from a timing standpoint..Two separate 5 day delays in communication on the lack of availability of tile when under tight project timeframes..The lack of sample offering (prohibited) also created longer timing delays..

My wife and i were quoted $1.99 a sqft for a certain tile. Came back to the store two weeks later and the salesman said Im sorry we cant do that offer that i wrote down on a business card for you. My Manager wont allow it. I asked to talk to the Manager to come out to speak to us and asked why he would not honor the offer. He said take it or leave it. I said i will take it but did add that you may want to work on your customer service skills and he told me he changed his mind and that he did not want to do business with me.1) be polite to customers.2)honor what you say. even if its a margin hit.3) work on your customer services skill.

The sales associate was an hour late for our measuring appointment/quote, could only provide an installation date 3 weeks from the date of the quote, and once we committed, then delayed installation by another week.The sales associate stated it would be a 3 1/2 day job, and when the installer met with us, that then became an 8 day job.The first day of the job, I arrived at midday, and found the installers jack hammering the old tile, doors to the house wide open, and my A/C unit going full blast. I had specifically requesting that the installation supervisor ensure that the A/C was turned off prior to commencing the installation.I had requested (and been assured by the sales associate) that we could have the entire house tiled in the same direction, but, upon discussion with the installer, found out that it was not possible, so, I now have two bedrooms and one bathroom running in different directions than the rest of the house.The Formica on all our kitchen and bathroom cabinets was torn off as the installer said that the underlying wood was water damaged. I was offered assistance in obtaining a quote from a contractor, but declined as he allegedly wanted to replace the entire bottom sections. The wood is dry and in good shape.Upon completion of the job, I found that the cut tiles bordering our sliders, walls, and transition points into the other rooms were chipped significantly. Some tiles were scribbled on with Sharpies to conceal the chips. Additionally, a dent in the drywall of our kitchen wall was left damaged, one of the two pantry doors was left un-hung as one of the installers told me that it needs to be shaved down now.The installer and installation manager came to our home to address my complaints, offered to repair the drywall, hang the pantry door, and grind down and stain the chipped tiles. Efforts and corrections that, in my opinion should have been made upon final inspection of the job, and not waited until I complained.In regards to the chipped tiles, I was told that no saw blade out there will cut this tile without chipping it, and that chips should be expected (despite the fact that neither the sales associate nor installer mentioned this prior to me accepting their quote). I declined on their tile repair proposal as I didnt want my home further disrupted, and felt that grinding and staining the chipped tiles was not an option that would actually improve their appearance. I requested that the price be reduced by 10% as compensation for the issues, and I was told that my request was completely unreasonable.So, I paid the $16,600 bill, vowed to alert other potential customers to this disappointing experience, and will never deal with this company again.

I was overall happy with our experience. The sales lady was very nice and informative and helped us pick carpet in our budget. Their showroom is huge and makes it very easy to look at any type of flooring you want. I had two minor complaints. First being the installers put my dining room table on its side in my front entry way (there were two places in my house they could have put it upright, dont know why they chose to do this) and the legs from my table scratched up my freshly painted walls. I have touch up paint, so it really isnt that big of a deal, however, it could have been avoided if a little more care was taken. And secondly, there was a barrier strip around the carpet they were replacing- they did not install a new barrier strip and when I asked the installation guy about it he was kind of rude about saying it was up to you to request that to your sales person, its not standard My sales person came over to measure and she never mentioned the barrier not being standard anymore and did not offer it or ask if we wanted one. How am I supposed to know its not standard anymore?

We had a pretty good idea of what kind of look we were going for in our search for something to replace our 20-year-old ceramic tile and laminate flooring. Wed searched high and low and then were fortunate enough to find out about Great Southeast Flooring America. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Jo. She asked what we had in mind. We had decided that we wanted something in a luxury vinyl plank flooring with a rustic whitewashed look that would really convey the feel of being in a beach cottage.Jo took us to the area of the store where all of the luxury vinyl plank flooring samples were. We were floored (pun intended) by the huge selection that was available. Jo worked with us to narrow down our best options until we finally decided upon a luxury vinyl plank flooring by Mannington called Adura Max Seaport Surf.We really appreciated the large size of the samples. They really give you a lot better idea of the way the flooring would look in your home vs. the typical 4x4 samples at the big box stores.After making our final decision, we set up an appointment with Jo to come to our home to give us an estimate. That was another wonderful experience. It was so much fun having Jo in our home. She did a very thorough job and went through all the options available to us for trim, molding, etc. to go along with our new flooring. We appreciated the fact that Jo wasnt all business. We had a fun time chatting with her over a cup of coffee or two as she clearly outlined the final steps we needed to go through.We arranged for the installation date. Jo said it would take 4 days, which it did - these folks really know their stuff. The much anticipated day arrived, and Ken and Robert showed up right on time. Wed pictured a crew of 4 or 5 guys but quickly realized that wasnt necessary. These guys were like a well-oiled machine. They spent most of the first 2 days jackhammering up the existing tile floors and taking up the existing laminate. Once that was done, they began laying our new flooring. The final result far exceeded our wildest expectations!We cant say enough good things about Ken and Robert. Not only were they extremely hard-working and very skilled at their job, but they were so much fun to talk and joke around with. I know it sounds crazy, but we actually started to look forward to seeing them at our front door every morning, always right on time. They felt almost like family after a couple of days. After the installation was complete, and before they left, they explained in detail how we should care for our new flooring. It was really tough saying goodbye to them for the last time.We highly recommend Great Southeast Flooring America, and we are looking forward to doing business with them again in the future. We can promise you that you will not be disappointed.Definitely ask if Ken and Robert can do your installation. They moved all our furniture and disconnected and moved all our appliances, including our washer and dryer. Once finished, they cleaned our new floors, dusted and moved all the furniture back into place, and reconnected all our appliances. They did an absolutely beautiful job, paying great attention to detail. Its hard to find guys like that anymore.

We had the vinal planks installed. I was told it would be a 2 day job. I expected at least a 2 man crew, but the second man showed up late and stayed for an house or so. My installer did everything himself and did a great job. I felt sorry for him cause he had to do all the grunt work like moving furniture, boxes of flooring, all the prep work and garbage. He worked at a steady pase and took good care of what he was doing, certainly not his first time. The finish work was impressive. The toe molding he used was mitered at ever corner and caped at every end. Something I would expect to see on cabinets or detailed finish work. Even the smallest piece of molding was cut to fit and capped. Nicely done. Now for the not so good. He was by himself! The first day he was here until after 6 pm on a Sunday. The next he was here until after 8 pm and did not finish. He had to skip the next day for another job and showed up at 6 the day after and again did not leave until after almost 9 pm. I dont feel he did a his best at cleaning and whipping down the floor but at 9pm who cared. We moved a lot of furniture out before he started and we move it all back after the job was done, had we not done a lot of the moving he would have been ther even longer. The estimating of how long a job will take should be a little closer to what it really takes. That was about the only problem I had with the job. NEVER will use this company! Spoke with install manager, Cubby, to report a VERY rude & unprofessional installer. Didnt bother to give me the courtesy of even hearing what I had to report before stating, let me stop you right there. I guess its ok for an installer to rudely tell a condo owner they will do what they please no matter what the rules are or even if its disturbing to others or even dangerous to others. Good attitude Flooring America!

Great selection, good price, nice staff

FlooringAmerica installed tile flooring on my porch approximately a year ago. Now my over ten year old carpet was in serious need of replacement, I had always wanted hardwood floors, and Pat T. at FlooringAmerica guided me not just in this selection but so many others(what colors to paint my walls, for example). So this was our second collaboration! She visited my home multiple times for measuring and viewing wood flooring examples, once when I went into the store to consult with her she told me to bring a drawer from my china cabinet so that we could closely match the wood flooring to it, I would have never thought of that!The big day arrived and Kyle and Chris went to work, efficient and personable. Each day more of the floor unfolded before my eyes and I could not have been happier. I told them I thought they were true artisans!Pat T. called several times for progress reports. With her I felt like I didn’t just get expertise in flooring, but also interior design. I have never felt better cared for.And Kyle and Chris, Gidget misses both of you and sends a big smile!

New floor done on time and no comlaints

We had our whole condo tiled by Great Southeast Flooring. This was around 1750 sq ft. First of all we were promised various things by the salesman which we later found out was not true. The actual tile job was poorly done. The workers cut the tile outside the front of our condo and the dust ended up on peoples cars needless to say the people and condo board were not happy. They did not clean up the mess from cutting the tile out front or in the back. We had to call and complain. The actual tile job was poor. I am not sure if they used subcontractors what were not up to par or what. I will on the positive side say that after we complained to the owner/manager. They did everything possible to correct the situation. But it took a lot of our time and all of it could have been avoided if done correctly from the start. We spent about $10,000 and really wish that we had done more research and picked another company. I dont think tile is Great Southeast Floorings strong point. Maybe other types of flooring but not tile. Note - This job was done in early 2014.

Dont expect good customer service after you pay a large deposit and expect delivery and installation as promised.We had salesman come and measure tge areas we wanted, we voiced our concerns about laying luxury engineered vinyl planks over ceramic tile and another room that had parquet wood tiles. Was told no problem.We told them we needed it asap, what really happened was they said they were booked over 6 wks, we didnt agree to that, they finally said two wks after i said i wanted to get out of contract...then i was told would forfeit 25% of deposit which was around $ 2,000.Finally installed, the room with the parquet started to lift after a week. We called them and they sent lead installer out, he pried a few out and cut some adjustments. Still lifted and spread across the room becoming a trip hazard.Call the office, too bad, its our problem or they would fix it for 6,000 more.We left it and tried to live with until it developed black mold underneath .Called manager and sales, told us basically they gave us what we could afford, husband explained we never said money was an issue just wanted to be sure the product would work over our existing floors.Bottom line, thry also mentioned they are backed up because they do large homes in expensive areas, so read into that whatever you will.This was seversl months ago, i have never made a review anywhere before, but after hearibg other similar complaints i wanted to add mine. By the way Chapman carpets and flooring in west melbourne is top notch they replaced our flooring in less than a week and half the price, with name brand and warranty.
