OK you guys so this is how this place works if youre going there to purchase makeup or hairstyling products such as oil sheen, gel Combs or brushes. Then the prices are better at the warehouse so youre better to purchase them there. However if youre going to buy wigs or hair or things of that nature then the prices are better online. You can pick them up at the warehouse but order it online to get the discount.

If I could give zero stars I would. I arrived at 749P to pickup a wig that I ordered online. Young man in the photo would not let me in saying the store was closed, even though business hours clearly say pickup until 8P. The manager came out after I asked 3 times to speak to him. A lady named Tangy came out and gave the me the ole system is shut down, which I know is a lie. I’m not going to waste anymore time with this review and have cancelled my order and willShop elsewhere. Learn to treat your customers better and simply change your business hours online so customers can plan accordingly.

This store is huge! They have a great selection of wigs, beauty products, and even jewelry. I didnt even get through all of the aisle and I was there for about 2 hours. The check out process was fast and the workers were friendly.

American American Women Buyers BEWARE!!!!!!Today is October 11,2020 I purchased hair from Sam’s Beauty on October 9,2021 I had my Beautician install the hair (the same day i purchased)The Hair which was supposed to be human hair burned. I called the store and spoke with Tangela and Sonia who were the store managers on duty at that time. Tangela was rude and laughed at me after I told her my story. She then tried to argue with me by raising her voice. I asked to speak to another manager her response was “she’s going to tell you the same thing.” After some time on hold Sonia came to the phone. She said that they wouldn’t give me my money back if the hair wasn’t in the same condition as when I purchased (verbatim to what Tangela stated) the flaw with that is how are the consumers supposed to know if the product is defective or not to the quality being advertised without testing out the product. She then told me that if I would’ve Test curled the hair they still wouldn’t of been able to give me my money back because the hair was not in the same condition. So this Establishment falsify their money back Guarantee rules so that you cannot be able to receive a refund for what was purchased. These women were beyond rude with horrible customer service. I will never Patronize this beauty supply again. So many times African-American women are done wrong by these types of stores because they do not care about us quite frankly they don’t even care about getting returned business.

I was soooo excited to go shop here. They definitely have many beauty and personal care products. However, I DO NOT AND CAN NOT patronize a business that does not put their customers first. PAYING CUSTOMERS!! I purchased bundles and a closure from this establishment. Never worn, never even took it out the box the representative put it in when I got it. Went to return it within the policy guidelines and was told I couldn’t return it because the tag wasn’t attached but it was given to me this way. The tag was still in the box with the hair. Then the manager Tangela told me they couldn’t return it because the curl pattern wasn’t the same but it’s loose deep wave hair so what curl pattern are you speaking of?? ITS LOOSE WAVE HAIR not curly hair. So what are you talking about? Then I was ignored and told she had a meeting to go to and there was nothing she could do. I attached pics of this hair i took in the store and it’s literally the exact same way I returned it. I am so disappointed with Sam’s and will not ever shop with this establishment again and advise EVERYONE I know to shop with their local beauty supply stores. Why go out of your way to shop with companies who do not care about your hard earned coin. And to add insult to injury they don’t even have customer service or corporate office to contact. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau because this is unacceptable. 0/5stars if you ask me. NEVER AGAIN

The manager, Tangela, is very rude!!! When I write a long review like this, then you know its BAD!! My daughter went into the store to pick up her online order..mind you she is 14 so she doesnt have a state ID yet but she had her high school picture ID plus the confirmation email from Sams for pickup. The manager told her she couldnt pick it up so I went back in the store with my daughter and presented my daughters passport photo as well as my drivers license explaining that I was the parent etc. The manager still said no...she was willing to make an exception for a drivers license (which my daughter couldnt possibly have at her age), but not willing to make an exception for a government issued passport..? Tell me how this makes sense?? TANGELA, was not helpful at all..She refused to tell me her last name. Didnt even attempt to provide any alternative solutions.. I was even willing to pay again for the same product.. Just give me what I PAID FOR!! Her customer service is terrible and clearly she is inept to be a store manager 🤔..I am totally disappointed in her actions. How is she a leader or role model for her subordinates?Three forms of ID and an emailed confirmation ...and still no? She never tried to call the powers that be or anything...Didnt even offer me a refund..Not even sure how to go about doing so...So sad that her actions has caused your company to lose a customer..I will never shop here again!!! Customer service should be a managers # 1 priority.Clearly Tangela/Tangy has another agenda.

If I could give this place a zero I would, I went to return two packs of hair that were unused and unopened, I had recently lost my debit card (the one used for purchase) when I went to ask for my money back they stated they could not because my card was not the same card used for purchase, I explained I had the card stolen recently and if they could just put my refund on another card, the woman I spoke to Tangela or whatever her name was, was very rude and dismissive, telling me The system would not allow her to make the refund to a different card the proceeds to tell me thats how it is everywhere, which as a person that has worked retail that is incorrect, you can make a refund to any card as long as an ID is present. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me she was the manager. As a Human Resources Manager. SBW has to do a better job at picking people that are capable with handling and dealing with the general public, your employees are rude and do not offer help when needed and your so called manager lacks customer service skills. Its sad to see this coming from black women, when black women are the ones that keep this store open, you have to do better SBW.

This was my second time in Sams Beauty Warehouse. The prices were great, so was the variety. Although I didnt find what I was looking for, I found some great bargains.

This place is HUGE! It has any and everything you need- from hair, braids, wigs, skincare, make-up, jewelry, nail care, etc. Its a bit of a distance but its (somewhat) worth the driveDepending on where youre traveling from, the best day/time is Sunday mid-afternoon.

DO NOT PURCHASE UPSCALE BUNDLES !!!! I have been wearing bundles for over 10 years and the upscale hair is just like the cheap hair I used to purchase on Ali express years ago before learning about virgin hair. The upscale bundles shed terribly, they tangle so much and smell just like synthetic hair after wetting. Wish I could’ve saved my money.

The Manager whose name I didn’t get, (black lady with a green wig) at this store is very rude and nasty not helpful at all, she did not try to help me with my situation she seemed to enjoy telling me no she couldn’t do anything. The employees under her have better customer service skills than she does, they will not get another cent from me and I actually love shopping at Sam’s so I’m very disappointed. The Mount Prospect store gave me a much better experience every time I visited I should have followed my first mind and went there. This lady doesn’t need to be a manager because I see I’m not the only one that has had problems with her it’s a shame. Hugest moist fabulous beauty store Ive ever been to! Everything u could ever want. The only thing I dont 100% recommend is theyre piercing jewelry, they have a large selection, but Ive had a few bad experiences. 🤫

I always spend 75 to 200 every other month on hair and hair products. The last time I purchased hair it was for crochets. The hair looked neat on the site. When I got it delivered it looked so matted . I contacted them and was told I can return it but I would charged a 30%restock fee and I would have to pay for shipping. The rubber bands they sold me were poor quality as well. I will not be buying from this store or site again.

I like coming here but some of the workers are rude.. Please be careful when your speaking Spanish because some people can understand your language. The lady who installs the hair is rude very unprofessional.. The women who are at the check out very unprofessional.. I will continue to order online and pick up and leave… the hair online is cheaper.. Maybe if they get better workers they reviews would be better

Great store! They have almost every wig you think of however due to COVID you cannot try them on which is weird because other stores let you.They need to hire more employees. You have to go search for people to assist you in spending your MONEY AT THEIR STORE. Id also like to see more diversity...I only saw Hispanic and one Black male. Where are the white women or black woman(studies show that Black women contribute the most revenue to beauty supply stores). Other beauty supply stores I have visited, have African American women working there. Some even have Caucasian women...These are my only two complaints. They have a lot of items, appear to well stocked and are clean.

I have not been disappointed with this place since theyve opened. The location is convenient for me. The selection of products they have to offer is tremendous. I have never been excited to go to a beauty supply store. They are usually overcrowded and cramped with products. The space is open airy, not creepy. The even have places where you can try on wigs!

Terrible human wigs. I spent 480 on a human hair wig then decided to buy another wig 2 months later and spent 300 dollars they were both terrible. If you want a synthetic wig this is the place to go but expensive wigs should not be bought here.

Second time visiting the store as I normally order online but needed product asap. Saw the product cost was higher than online so I went to verify with cashier. Was told online prices are sometimes different and they cant honor them instore. Young lady told me I can order online for discounted price. So I placed the order for pick up at the store and checked back in an hour to see if my order was ready (because in the past I never received an order ready email) the lady at CS says oh give us a few hours to get it ready. I waited all day just to find out after calling back an speaking with a manager that instore pick are not filled same day on weekends. Why wasnt I told this in the beginning? I waited for hours for nothing (and I dont live in the area). I mean why not just honor the online price instore then restock from warehouse on Monday after all that confusion? Manager would not. Ill be canceling my order because Amazon came through AND I paid less for it.

When this store first open, I raved about this location! Guess its true, the grass is not always greener on the other side! The selection and hours/days of operation are still a huge plus; however, the manager...not so. Its like this location makes up rules as they go! In November, I ordered items and arrange for pickup and had the worst experience! The manager initially refused my order due to my address not matching exactly. No where within their confirmation email or even the site, states anything regarding an address. On top of her refusing to honor my order, she informed me I would be charged a fee for the return order! My lawyer was on speed dial! Today, I go in and all of sudden you cant return unopened flat irons. The seal was unbroken! Purchased the irons 2 days prior - wanted to exchange them for a pair with a dial temperature. I have never had issues returning items at the mt. Prospect location. They outline on the receipt items that you cant not return and this is understandable; however for her to tell me - under their discretion they can refuse what they want...yeah - I rather spend my money elsewhere - where the rules will remain the same. Seems a little bias with racial undertones.

Just spent over $250 on a wig for my daughter today. We left and went directly to her stylist who said it was the wrong type of wig. We returned immediately to exchange the wig and they would not exchange it. The manager said that its printed on a receipt that there are no exchanges and no returns.Well I wouldnt have saw what was printed on the receipt until after I paid for it!! Theres nothing posted in the store that says this. It had been less than 2 hours from when I purchased it. If this is the way you treat your customers Ill continue to shop my local supply store.

Utterly amazed at the size of this place and all the beauty products they had available. I dont recall ever having been in a beauty supply for more than 15-20 minutes, I was here almost an hour. Loved it! Found everything I was looking for and more!The only reason why I gave 4 out of 5 stars was because the checkout process was a bit clunky. This place is huge. Its bright,clean and well stocked. They carry all your beauty needs. They even have a mens section. Although its a shelf compared to the rest of the place geared towards women. For men they carry beard care, hair dyes and aftershaves. I only wish they carried more wet shaving supplies.
