Harlo is known for the 2am diner feel. An excellent vibe, with grease burgers and amazing music. I do recommend, great value in price and service is sweet. If parking could be updated that would be great. But food and service 3+ stars.
First-time here passing by for work. I ordered two things a western skillet with scrambled eggs and ravioli. They dont take cash which was fine so I went to the 7 eleven to use atm. Anyway eggs werent scrambled the hash browns were so soggy like theyve been soaking in water or something and they give me freaking ravioli without any sauce! The lady had a attitude and the food was bland. No seasoning. The food looked like something you would eat at a high school from a lunch lady. I coulda had a better breakfast at McDonalds. This from a first time customer the locals might just go 5here cause it been up so long or something. The food is bland and tasteless
It’s not the same as it used to be I had a harlo burger and it tasted different meat was not the same didn’t even finish it had to throw it away fries were stale with no salt and my wife’s burger had a hair in it and I called ahead of time to have it ready they said 15 minutes I got there 25 minutes later and it was barely on the grill had to wait an additional 10 minutes for it price wise still good but for me I’d rather pay alittle more and enjoy my food tasted rushed very disappointed because I really did love that place
A must for the diner crowd. We are from Northlake, but make an effort to seek out diners while traveling. The Harlo Grill is great for a comforting meal diner meal. My favorite is a double cheeseburger with fries. My husband loves the patty meal (try it with a hamburger patty and a sausage patty). And my 17 year old son will eat just about anything off their griddle! And we are flexitarians. Worth not eating meat the rest of the week.
Best burgers in town. Definitely worth checking out for breakfast as well. Cash only though so be prepared.

After the first Grub Hub Driver picked up the food and failed to deliver I called the restaurant and they did let me know they would be remaking the food as soon as the new order came through. Food was great. I will definitely be ordering from here again.
Excellent food and service. Hard working and friendly staff. Family friendly. Delicious omelets. I especially recommend the meat lovers omelet. Fun gaming and bar too. Five stars for sure! I have loved this place for years.
Stopped in with my Husband. The waitress was very friendly and professional. The food was good (small portions) and the coffee was served in a styrofoam cup.

The food was nice and made rather fast. I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries and a coke and it turned out great it was just rather soggy after a few minutes so it feels like you have to eat it rather fast. The staff was nice and it is still worth it as it could also depend on how you order the food as the grilled onions might of been why it was soggy but give it a try still nonetheless
We enjoy going out. Yesterday we found this magnificent restaurant which we didn’t know before. We passed a lovely experience there with superb dishes and a courteous stuff and a great chef. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we will certainly return very soon. We warmly recommend.
UPDATE.........came back, breakfast was better than expected. Delicious!!. Coffee needs to be stronger but tasted great. Had not been there in over 2 years. Went back ordered a patty melt it was not cooked throughout. Looked like the cook just slapped all the ingredients together. The customers are very rude to the waitresses. The owner should kick them out. The restaurant instead of getting better got worse. So if you want lousy service, nasty food, rude customers then Harlo Grill is your place

Went late night to get a rib steak sandwich. What was better than the food was the customer service. The lady and the guy behind the counter went way beyond expected. Byfar nicest people I dealt with esp when it’s super busy and it’s closing time. Wasn’t rude and i really cant count how many times they apologized to me for being late. This restaurant just earned themselves a new customer!

Food is always great and so are the Hispanic cooks from the old location, they are always friendly. The new cashiers tho not so much, they always seem irritated for no reason. I hope the tips go to the cooks.. whose idea was it to hire these cashiers the cooks used to be able to make your food and ring you up as well at the old location. Apparently im NOT the only one that thinks the waitress/cashiers service is BAD! Issue needs to be fixed asap
We met with friends at this spot for lunch. we heard about this spot from many people. Well, it was very nice. The staff were extremely nice and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place a lot and we shall definitely come back again. Warmly recommended.

Horrible. The cook trash. Waitress was nice. $50 = 2 waffle with strawberries.1 BLT. 1 Cheeseburger. Loaded fries. Mini tacos. 10 wings. No condiments like the menu said with my wings. Tacos. No utensils. No napkins. Nothing.

I ordered food from here multiple times and even though I live down the street they take 2 1/2 hours to even deliver the food and always missing an item it’s just not worth it.
The food is great, however WARNING put attention to your receipt the taxes are sky high in addition they will keep your change if unaware. They put a different amount on the front ticket than that of the registers printed receipt. They have an explanation for everything. Second time with a different cashier is an out for me. I wanted to know if this was a common practice of the business or/& if a cashier was stealing.

Careful. Think that was the most expensive carryout burger meal ever. Total of 20 dollars. Meal was $15 plus atm fee of $3 plus 2 dollar tip. I always tip even on carryout. Wait staff unfriendly food came cold Even though we. Were right next to grill not crowded sat at table the wait staff only catered to people at the bar stools. Eggs werent cook per request got another batch worse than the first was never asked if everything was ok didnt care look on her face when I said it wasnt good. Wont be back

Cook doesnt wash hand no gloves. He touches food then takes cash....touches register....goes back to food. He was a Spanish guy had a bad attitude because he didnt listen when I ordered and forgot certain things that came with food. Also THIS PLACE IS ONLY CASH. MAKES YOU THINK WHY?

It was a terrible experience. They sent me a coupon for a free burger and fries for my birthday. I went today, 5 days after my Birthday - by myself, because my friends were busy, and they told me that they couldnt serve me my burger cause I came by myself, from Chicago where I live to Melrose Park where the restaurant is. They said if I came with a couple friends it would be no problem cause they cant give away food for nothing.Nobody should waste their time going there.I HAD TO GIVE THEM ONE (1) STAR, EVEN THOUGH I DIDNT WANT TO!

Went from Hero to Zero. Horrible service, stopped in and ordered food from a waitress that looked like a deer in your headlights, no idea what she was doing. Ordered our food, sat therefor 1/2 hour watching other people that came in getting served their food. Apparently she either didnt turn in the check to the cooks, anyway around it we just got up and left and went somewhere else.

The food is okay but theres coke sold over the bar so nobody is there for drinks. Good luck getting a drink if your not there for coke 🙃
We arrived at this spot for a meeting. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members were extremely nice and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was yummy. We loved this place a lot and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.

They change the quality of the burger meat. Its chewy. The burgers were much better in the 90s. Before the new owners took over. They have to go back to the original burger meat ASAP.
I go with my wife to this great spot many times a year! This is the best place to have a bite. I go to this spot frequently. The cooking is of high quality, the workers are professional and the cost is decent. I enjoy eating in this place to have a good meal.
Called and they put the phone down and never came back to the phone. Arrived there and was told they cant make just anything cause theyre about to close. I informed them I called but no one came back to the phone. I ordered then was told a price that didnt match the menu. I guess what I wanted that would take too long. Obviously the the price didnt match the menu or we both cant do math.🤔

The pancakes were melt-in-your-mouth amazing! (They serve breakfast all day.) Service was great and we got our food quickly. Prices were inexpensive. All in all we loved it and would definitely eat here if we ever visit again. Classic diner atmosphere...was built in the 50s. Fun!

Top-notch late night diner style All-American fare. For those who imbibe, there be a bar adjacent to the main diner section. Fairly clean, though it smells odd on occasion, which I personally attribute to the bar addition. Video gaming is available here! The staff is generally very helpful, personal, and well kept. Free refills! Nowadays that is a rarity at local family owned businesses, especially as close to city proper Chicago as this location is. Lastly, the pricing in the fare, especially for the quality they serve here, is where Harlo Grill really shines! Super great value for your hard earned dollars!
