After consulting several other contractors, we hired Ted for our Bathroom and Laundry room renovation. Having a background in design and construction, I had already purchased the materials and wrote out the scope of work. We needed someone who was good at communicating and met our expectations, which we found in Ted! The work was done within the time frame we discussed and any additional scope was detailed and appropriate. I cant wait to hire him again for our future dream kitchen!

We recently contracted Ted to completely redo our back deck. We were very impressed with Ted’s professionalism and craftsmanship. Our entire backyard looks so much better, all thanks to Ted. Ted was great to work with and was very thorough with his estimate, he discussed every detail with us before starting the job. We had our bathroom renovated this winter after a leak. Ted lined everything up and finished the job in a week, as promised. Everything looks great, from the new tile floor to the bright blue walls we wanted.A couple of things youll love about Cummings Home Improvements:1. Ted is very knowledgeable but not in an intimidating sort of way. Hes a good listener and doesnt jump to conclusions. And hell take the time to make sure you understand why hes recommending a particular solution.2. Hell bring in other workers (e.g. electricians) as the job demands, but he knows enough about their trades to keep everyone in line and producing quality craftsmanship.3. The estimate he gave us was right on target. Other reviews we looked at before hiring Ted suggested the same.Lastly, hes just a cool guy. We really appreciate his help and expertise!

In June/July 2016, I hired Ted Cummings to rebuild the deck at my home in Melrose, MA. He was very professional and meticulous about his work. Both Ted and his assistant were always friendly and worked in a professional manner and the end result was amazing. His price was fair and he completed the project in a timely fashion, and cleaned up and removed all the debris. I would certainly contact him, again, for any future projects.
