Had a great experience buying my first Subaru. Started with consumer reports for top ranked vehicles, online chat with JK Subaru on Covington Pike, made an appointment to test drive, didnt bother test driving any other vehicles on my list, asked for another color in the Subaru and they had it ready for me to purchase the next day. Then the no interest payment option, sweet made sweeter, and it was so easy. I know where Ill be heading when its time to buy a replacement! Thanks Ruth for the great experience!

I can honestly say that I have never had a buying experience that compares to the one I had at Jim Keras Subaru. Buying our new family SUV from them proved to be the most courteous, efficient, and professional vehicle purchase. Our car salesman took the time to listen to our concerns and wants to find the perfect vehicle for us. In addition, the Financial Manager, Caleb, offered us way more on our trade-in than the other dealerships we visited. Lastly, our vehicle had a minor factory issue, and they fixed everything in no time. The dealership delivered a loaner vehicle to my spouses work and took our SUV in for the repair. Everything worked perfectly when we picked up our SUV later that evening, and the dealership even threw in extra accessories.

Only gave it a 2 star because when I was purchasing the car the experience was great, until a month later I find out a keygard warranty was added when I had said I didnt want any dealer add on. And when I called them to cancel they told me they would call back to resolve the issue and never did. I would look at your paperwork carefully and ask for a buyers order to see how exactly they got to the OTD price and nothing extra was added.

I bought a brand new Subaru Forester out-of-state and brought it to Jim Keras Subaru to replace a part I had damaged. It hasnt been a good experience and overall the customer service is severely lacking. The first time I went there to check on the cost, the service guy who was there just gruffly said youll need to ask parts and pointed me to a door. One bright spot in this experience was the parts dept. Hailey helped identify the part and wrote it down on a post-it with everything I needed to call back to order. I ordered it from Dave who was extremely personable. When it came in, he opened the box to confirm it was the right color. Fast forward today...I bring the car in to have it installed. Wow...not a good experience. I was told the car would be washed; it wasnt. There is a big sign offering a free shuttle service, but I was told they dont do that. I was told that the part didnt sit flush so I needed to take it to a body shop. So I paid to have a part installed that will need to be taken off by someone else--I paid $136+/hr for that. Additionally the overall cost was $50 MORE than I was originally quoted. Im 1,000 miles from my first service, and Im going to have to find someone else to do the service because I cannot support bad customer service.

Short version: Get a Car from Colter!Long version: In August 2020, I had already done my research and knew what Subaru models I wanted to test drive but I was working hours that overlapped dealership hours making it difficult to schedule test drives. I “met” Colter on line and he worked around the limited time I had. Due to Covid mask wearing and my own requests, he also let me test drive by myself so I could stay safe, hear any road or engine noise (there was next to none), and generally experience the car without distractions. And he accommodated my limited time by having the cars lined up for me to test drive one after the other!I liked his polite demeanor, that he was attentive, and that he wasn’t too aggressive for me - perfect for someone who is mostly an introvert! So many other salesmen/ women you run into can be hyper or aggressive with too many phone calls and emails, which can be overwhelming and off-putting. But Colter was ideal.Over the next few months, I test drove cars at other dealers but there were three more Subaru models I wanted to test drive. Colter kept in touch with me over those months; he didn’t press me but it was just enough to let me know that they were still there, what they had in stock, and any deals they may have had. When I was ready in June 2021, I contacted Colter since I had a wonderful experience before. Again, he was accommodating, polite, knowledgeable, and willing to help.The negotiating experience was done online and not high pressure; signing the paperwork was done at the dealership. Once the paperwork was completed, I was the proud owner of a 2021 Crosstrek! Colter spent time with me one-on-one to go through the steering wheel buttons, the displays, safety features, and an overview of the many functions available (there are a ton!). In all, the paperwork and learning only took about an hour and a half.The entire experience was very professional but still personal enough to make it pleasant. I can’t wait to go on a long trip knowing the brand reliability is there, as well as all the cargo space in the back, the moon roof to see the stars, and the outlets and ports that will come in handy! I’m so glad to be a part of the growing Subaru family! And I mean family because it doesn’t stop when the sale is done; he still keeps in contact in case there are functions I can’t figure out.Thank you, Colter; you’re the best!

I decided to take my Forester to Jim Keras for its 30,000-mile maintenance while home visiting family. I was so impressed by the service that I may have to schedule future visits around the vehicle’s maintenance schedule. Everyone who I interacted with from scheduling the appointment to checking out was very friendly and helpful, specifically Jared in the service center who walked me through the specific services I needed. I really liked the service updates via text — much easier than worrying about missing a call. I could also review the individual services and approve them beforehand. The video of the inspection was really cool — I wish more places offered this. Additionally, everyone was abiding by the local Covid-19 mask mandate both in the service center and in the waiting area, which was very clean. Overall, I highly recommend Jim Keras for your Subaru maintenance needs.
