Had them for 5 1/2 years cuz I got stuck in a contract for $60 a month. Was going to leave 6 months ago, they gave me a deal for 20.99 per mo. I said fine. Month later, still 60, called to complain, they said they would honor the deal, next month, same sh! T. This went on until today. Had to cancel service. Camera never recorded anything either so dont waste ur time w that upgrade. Way better services out there for way less $. Do your research.
Run far away from this company. I signed up 2015 and moved to a new home 2018. I was told either pay $700 to cancel, have the new owner take the contract, or finish out the contract at the new home. All I had to do was pay to install the equipment. Paid the install fee and signed for the fee. They said that when I signed for the equipment, I agreed to a whole new 5 year contract. I called to complain stating I never agreed to that and all they have to say is well we have your electronic signature.....you can cancel for $700. BTW Tiffani is the seller I bought from qt protection 1. Dont believe a thing she says qnd take your money elsewhere.
Would give no stars if possible. Service was canceled over 4 weeks ago on fire monitoring yet here I am getting calls at 3 am because they didnt receive a test signal. They are working harder at harassing me than they ever did at servicing the account. Plenty of better options out there. Buyer beware.
Was required to have Fire System Monitoring by the City. The Service was a complete joke and after 12 years and bankrupt Protectioon One and ADP franchisors we sold our building. When terminating the service they acted like we had contractual obligations from twelve years prior ADP/Commercial and Protection One Mendota Heights Not sure who is who today
This company talked my spouse into switching to them before I got home from work (the tech had already installed their equipment). No discount, purely zero benefit to switching. Im one of the homeowners and didnt sign the contract; how is that legal? In 4 years, Ive never recd a call after I shut a false alarm off. Im HAPPY to be back with Vivint with WAY better equipment and a call immediately after a false alarm. Oh yeah, and Protection 1 requires us to pay the remaining balance of the contract (the I didnt sign in the first place).This company brags of an A+ BBB rating, but I challenge you to find them on the BBB website. Oh wait, dont waste your time because you wont. If you are able to locate the clickable BBB link from their main website, it brings you to a BBB site that doesnt allow people to review them. Interesting.
They signed me up for services while I was renting a house. I told them I wanted to switch to something more permanent once I purchased. They told me that they had merged with ADT and once I purchased they would be able to help me out. When the time came they did not switch me over to ADT with the professional install. Instead they charged me $700 for cancelling and stated that they had a non compete with ADT so they would not be able to move me over. This was 2 years ago and I am just settling my account with this. They have terrible customer service. They do not hold true to what they say they will do even when I provided proof of what they promised me via email. Its sad and has made me not even want to have home security.
This company is a joke!! I routinely wait 10-15 minutes for a call after my alarm goes off. And sometimes they dont call at all!! Take your cash & flush it down the toilet. Youll feel less aggravated!
