Small market but has a pretty good mix of items and prices arent crazy expensive for staples. Aisles are somewhat small in feel and lighting is on the low side. Fresh fish options are nice, but more expensive than the big chain stores.

Amazing market with everything you could possibly need. Deceivingly large in the inside. Tons of selection of over 50k items. Wide range of common brand items to small boutique and rare ones. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Great selection of fish, meat, and bbq from their deli. Overall its one of my favorite markets and does provide a lot of local items. Just be warned that it is considerably pricier since it is a standalone local shop. But if you are willing to pay for top quality the willows market certainly delivers.

Nice little grocery store packed to the rafters with groceries, supplies, a deli, and a wide selection of craft beer, good wine, and high-end liquor. I was definitely impressed by the scotch and whiskey selection. I got a sandwich from the board and it was done well, super fast. Staff were friendly locals and the Grateful Dead was playing when I walked in...

My hope was that this would be a cute local market with a great produce section. In reality, it’s a liquor store with a few overpriced grocery aisles and limited fresh foods. I’d shop here if I were in a pinch, but it just didn’t meet my expectations.

I have visited more or less daily for the last four years. Amazing selection of beer and wine, and you also find most groceries, fresh produce and more. Its interesting that you often find rare items that you couldnt find at Draegers or Safeway. Fast in and out, very efficient shopping.

Willow is a great example of a friendly, convenient, neighborhood store. They understand their customers and have become a fixture in the Willows community. Daily on-site BBQ is a highlight. So is their vast beer, wine, and spirits selection.

I really love this store, great wine selection, just the right groceries, and even a deli. I shop here a few times a week, and love the selection. Excellent locally made ice cream and baked goods, great selection of easy stuff like pasta sauces and snacks. I think the BBQ may even be famous, it sure smells like it. And all of the staff is cool. Until yesterday, my only complaint was the mushy bland ravioli in the deli case.Once the apocalypse grocery shopping started, I decided to do all my shopping at my independently owned shop to do my part to help fortify small businesses in my community from the upcoming crisis.On my list was cleaning supplies to donate to unhoused communities, and it really broke my heart to see my favorite store price gouging the neighborhood by charging $20 for a $5 essential product. The guys working in the shop seemed embarrassed about it, and didnt agree with managment deciding to treat customers in this way.I guess I shouldnt feel so loyal to my local store, they dont seem to feel the same way about the neighborhood.

Great service, excellent sandwiches!The one exception is the Hecka Good Wrap (i.e., their buffalo chicken wrap): There is no Buffalo chicken sauce in this wrap; I confirmed with someone who works at the deli. This contradicts my years of experience living in both upstate New York and in North Carolina---and even as a native Californian. Other than that, all other sandwiches Ive had were fantastic.

This market had a ton of health food options and a great little deli in the back. Their beer and wine selection is superb. I was super excited to see their German beer selection! They had really good sandwiches as well. It’s a little crowded due to the number of isles in a pretty small building, but they are all stocked up with a plethora of items to choose from. I just wish they had a small indoor seating area or umbrellas outside at their tables. Nonetheless, if you’re in the area - don’t hesitate to stop by!

Mostly notable for the beer selection, also had some decent bottles of wine. Deli selection very good, rest of the store not quite varied enough, but okay for some essentials. Decent parking available and not usually very busy which is a very nice bonus.

Awesome pulled pork and brisket! And their spicy hot sauce, was no joke...not watered down. Loved it!

The prices here just blow me away. I came here several times because its a nice distance to walk from my office, but I just cant justify paying the huge mark-up (Ive seen as much 80% on some items). Now I just stock up at Safeway and go for a walk during my lunch break instead. Id have liked to support a local shop, and I get that real estate is not cheap in the area, but its out of my price range.

Easily my favorite place in the area! The deli is all time and they have a great selection of adult beverages as well.

We ordered sandwiches here and they were very good. I tried the Omg tripe and it was delicious. There were only two people working so it was a bit slow. It took an hr to make 4 of them. It was around noon time so yes its going to be busy, but they should have more people around that time.

There are few places like The Willows anymore, although they can be found, and are usually treasured (read: The Summit Store up in the Santa Cruz mountains). The unusual thing to me about The Willows is not its wide selection of local wines, and on-site barbecued meats, though it does have that. Its the fact that it exists where it does, right on the border of Palo Alto and Menlo Park, geographically sandwiched between two major Safeways. Of course the prices here are higher. Thats part of the deal when you support a quality offering and variety that youre not going to get at Safeway. Fun place to take your kids, believe it or not.

While this place is praised as a lunch spot, I cant comment to that. They have an amazing selection of beer though. Aging stouts, porters, and sours. Huge selection of Belgian, german, and craft.

This is our go to place for getting beer kegs.They always have a wide variety, and of something is not in stock they can get it for you in a few days (one or two). The owner is very kind and attentive, and also gives good advice and recommendations. I highly recommend Willows Market.

Distinctive food selection from locally owned food market

The beer and wine selection is literally ridiculous. I endlessly seem to find something I enjoy and there is always, and I mean always, something Ive not had before. I live close by so Im here often and sometimes have them help me set up parties (read: deliver booze and ice). Owner is beyond nice, the whole staff is equally excellent. (oh yeah, the rest of the store is well stocked also)

Best deli in town! If youre ever in the neighborhood its a must to try their BBQ Tri-tip Sandwhices. Best hands down.

Great local neighborhood store. They have a lot of variety: wine, beer, liquor, produce, frozen goods, bread, a deli, meats, and a bunch of other things. The prices are better for some things than others but the convenience and variety of things available is great. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I have never waited long to pay for anything. On Monday evenings, there are food trucks (4-5).

Great service and selection of basics. However it always has a funky smell as if one of the fridges with dairy is broken. Or if some dead rodent. The smell is offputting enough to prevent us from shopping here, even though we live in a short walk from the store.

The Willows Market is a great neighborhood gem! I love that they are open late - 6am till midnight on most days. So convenient if you forget to grab an item or two at a larger grocery store! Cashiers are very friendly and there always seems to be some sort of sale going on. Though its located on a busy intersection, there is plenty of parking space in a lot to the right of the market.MONDAY FOOD TRUCKS: Every Monday, they have a food truck gathering here around late afternoon through dinner time. I love to stop by and sample fare from my favorite Bay Area Trucks. I usually end up getting something from the Lobster Shack truck because all the other trucks sell out around ~8pm. You must try the rich butterscotch pudding from the Butterscotch on the Go vendor. She is usually located inside the market (just make a left after you enter). The butterscotch is overwhelmingly thick and sweet so make sure you dont gorge yourself on food truck fare so that you can enjoy the dessert.The market has a decent variety of basic supermarket items (your usual milk, cheese, produce, meat, bread, etc.) but I was truly shocked by their unique brands and stock. If you are a beer fanatic, they boast a selection of 1,000 craft beers and also have an INSANE variety of hot sauce. I love spicy food but my stomach was quivering after browsing the selection. The names and packaging on the hot sauce bottles seemed to fall into one of three categories: rabid animals, flames, and/or violence.

The Willows Market rocks an outstanding liquor, wine and massive beer selection! Ive been drawn in by the BBQ most often, myself. The Willows is a legendary mom & pop in Menlo Park that is worth the stop on your way home.
