Fantastic staff! My husband and I walked in on a Sunday without an appointment to see if they could fix a loose screw on a pair of sunglasses. We had tried to fix them ourselves, but the screw was unusually long and not easy to replace. The team worked a miracle and my Maui Jims are as good as new. They wouldn’t even accept payment. Wow! Who does that these days?

Store manager was incredibly rude to me. Also, while waiting I heard two calls from customers whose frames were lost or delayed, one of them for months. She was so dismissive and unhelpful to these callers. Not sure why she comes to work. Eye doctor was sweet though - she seemed pretty embarrassed with her colleagues yelling. Obviously I decided not to order glasses there.

This is the best lens Crafters in the bay area. The staff is great always friendly and practice covid safety protocall. I got my eye exam in about an hour. My coustom glasses were ready within one week. I got my sight back 20-20 vision. Dont put your vision off get your eyes checked today.

I had a great experience at this LensCrafters, I was easily able to get an appointment at a convenient time. Although the store is being renovated everything went smoothly.I had a very thorough eye exam from Dr Chand who explained the issues really well. The assistant manager Sabrina then explained the different lens choices to me in depth and helped me choose lenses and frames which worked for me. She was very professional was patient with all my questions.

Usually go to a doctor’s office, but switched providers and decided to try LensCrafters. I was helped by Danielle through the process of booking an eye exam and picking out frames. Eye exam was about as thorough as my old doctor, which is good. They had lots of frame options, different price points, and she helped me decide on what would look best on me, plus what I typically would use my glasses for. Turn around time was about the usual for my very high prescription. Would recommend, especially since they have lots of locations and can help me anywhere they have stores should something happen to my glasses!

My husband and I had our eye exams in July. My husband needed to upgrade his lenses so after his appointment they helped him to get measurements and they said because they are remodeling they couldn’t process the order so someone would call us back to confirm that it has been processed. After a few weeks we haven’t heard back so I called the store back multiple times and nobody was able to help me and their answer was we will call you back tomorrow. And guess what? Nobody has ever reached out to us. Today is September 30th, I called at 10:06 am when the store opens and a gentleman let me know that they are still remodeling and they can’t access the system so they’d reach out to us as soon as possible. When I asked if it is going to be today or later this week his answer was He didn’t know. It is very frustrating because they can’t transfer the information to another store or doctor and we can’t get any information. Horrible customer service. If they are remodeling they should be closed and not take any appointments! Or at least have a manager to reach out to us.

I came in, I never bought glasses from a spot like this before, so I was kinda nervous about it. Now I can safely say I’m coming again next time I need a pair of glasses. Really nice experience, the staff was super helpful and actually knew what they were talking about. They helped me figure out my insurance and everything, would recommend.

I saw Dr. Ram (I believe that was her last name!). I highly recommend. All the staff were super friendly. Dr. Ram thoroughly & clearly explained the results of my eye exam. Retinitis pigmentosa runs on my moms side, and she explained what that would look like on my scan if I actually did show signs of that (luckily all clear!). I picked up my glasses yesterday and the prescription was spot on. Highly recommend! Probably the only thing to keep in mind is that they try to upsell you with the glasses but all you have to do is say no. Glasses on the pricier side but I would say it was worth it in my case. I didnt get sunglasses of course, just regular glasses.

Dr. Chand and her assistant who helped with my eye exam were just lovely. The retail end or and more specifically the store manager Renee is overwhelmingly rude! While her cohort Melissa was helping me check my insurance coverage, Renee interrupts to ask her what she’s doing them continues to tell her “we don’t have time for that.” I’m thinking, she doesn’t have time to do her job?!! I don’t understand how or why she is even allowed on the sales floor with that wretched attitude! She’s just an obscene person to tolerate period!

I had a great experience at this LensCrafters in March 2021. The staff took COVID precautions seriously — no masks off throughout the store and all equipment were sanitized immediately before I used them. The doctor took her time with me and explained my results in a great level of detail. The staff were also really helpful when I was picking out my new frames! Everyone was very friendly.

While the doctors are very good, the retail staff is very unimpressive. they are disorganized and will upsell features that are not needed. they have a 30 day return policy but they will throw your old lenses and frames out unless you tell them not to so you essentially have to buy their product. And dont try to talk to the general manager, Renee, she has no concept how to manage customers and will hangup on you if you tell her something she doesnt want to hear. I recommend getting your eyeglass script and then using Warby Parker for real efficient and quality customer service.obviously im not the first person to have an issue there or with Renee. read the collection of single star reviews on yelp as well.Very poor experience there. Totally understand the various Covid restrictions and feel bad for the workers at places like these, but the Manager, Renee was over the top rude. Three times she barked at me.

The eye exam went well. Lenscrafters has a good selection of glasses and lenses. The only downsize to my experience with Lenscrafters is the cost of the frames and lenses. Very expensive.

Went in on Monday morning. Not a single customer . Just 2 employees at the far end of the store . I was trying on glasses and had pulled down mask for 30 sec and pulled back up . The associate sue yelled at me to pull my mask up . 😷 I know very well the covid protocol but omg how am I supposed to see how the glasses looks on me . 0 stars for common sense and customer service.

Ordered glasses in oct 15. Still waiting on them. Every time I call I just get a call saying there still being processed in the lab.. now final they want me to get different lens and I have to come in to see my options or wait or cancel my order.. Clearly Lens crater doesn’t care about CUSTOMER SERVICE. I know it’s not the staffs fault but the lab should express more urgency.. Been 30 days and I’ll be waiting for a phone call tomorrow... wow, just need glasses

Hands-down the most hostile interaction I ever had in a store of any kind. I went in hoping to replace my readers, which got scratched. The associate asked for a prescription - I dont have one, since Im not from the US, and usually get my glasses back home. She proceeded to lecture me on the illegality of buying glasses without a prescription, and only mentioned that I could book an appointment to do it in-store when I asked how to actually go about getting an exam. She then quoted me the price of around $250 for the exam and lenses, without even the frame. I was taken aback by the amount, as that is far higher than what I am used to paying: again, not from the US, I understand that things work differently here. I explained that I dont have vision insurance and asked how people normally pay for it - essentially, I inquired whether there was a payment plan option. The associate gave me side-eye and said, well maybe for YOU its a lot of money, but not in the US. In her opinion, it seems, if I cant happily whip out $250+ at a moments notice, I should not be in this country. In my opinion, a person who is incapable of speaking respectfully to people of all backgrounds should not be working in customer service.EDIT: Heres the kicker - as I thought I knew, non-prescription readers are a perfectly legal thing in the US. However, when I said I got my present pair made in the US without a problem (happily paid a lot for those because they came with a very fancy frame, but this was supposed to be a temporary replacement), she launched a tirade about how whoever made them for me must have broken the law. Not only is she rude, she also doesnt know whats shes talking about. Fortunately, I just ordered a nice pair online and will not have to go near this store again.

Sonia, who did my prep, has an amazing personality and knowledge in the responsibilities of her role that made my pre visit exam activities the best ever. Sue help me get the new lenses and frames I wanted and used her knowledge of my insurance plan to provide me with a substantial discount off of the suggested retail pricing.

My first time at LensCrafters.After coming in 3 times and having to turn back (due to many reasons outside of lenscrafters), my fourth visit was all I ever wanted. I knew the frames I wanted, I had my insurance, prescription, and we worked out a previous stipulation in my prescription. The final price ended up being ~$100 less than I expected, and I got some great additions with my glasses. I LOVE the look of them, and Im very excited to try them next week!

After ordering the same frames but with sunglass and regular glass lenses, I was told one pair would be ready early and one would need to have a second set of frames ordered before the lenses could be fit. I waited til both sun and regular orders were filled to go pick them up, and on the first attempt, the sunglasses were fine (although I had to come back to get the measure marks cleaned off of the lenses), but the regular glasses were a pair I had not ever seen before. Apologizing for the mistake, they said they would get the proper frames and make them for me immediately. Within a short while I got a text message saying the glasses were ready. I went in early the next day and the frames ordered were again the wrong ones. I got a full refund for both the sunglasses and regular glasses and I am taking my business elsewhere. If I could give zero or negative ratings for this place I would. Really unacceptable customer experience.

The docs were great to work with me, and management was helpful too. The staff did not know what they were doing and sized the lenses wrong fit in the frames for my use. The management was apparently not giving proper guidance to staff. The wait for staff to get through the computer ordering of renewal glasses was long, one hour, making me late for an appointment. When, three weeks of not hearing back after the second pair were ordered, I thought the order went through but it didnt, so it will be another two weeks.

Stopped by early morning (10ish) as we were in town for meetings. I have rimless Oakleys which continue to pop out. We were not greeted upon entering. When we approached the counter and finally some acknowledgement. Front end staff stated it would be an hour. We returned between 3-5pm and was told not ready because they had not called us. 551 came around my significant other went in. The decision was to take the glasses as is home. We stayed additional time out here in the Penninsula and have to battle heavy traffic because staff could not provide an honest answer. Upon pick up we were told it takes a couple days due to working on the hard frames and difficulty with the wiring. We were informed repairs are done in between clients (every time we entered it was vacant). We explained this was highly inappropriate as if they would have said days we would have taken them closer to home and not waste time (or give this review). Then the response was the service was “free,” well for us time is money so you calculate that. Very unprofessional and lack of quality customer service; subpar to the extent a star is not even worthy. Note to management: review SOPs for front end as they are the face and image of your company and or store front. Also additional training is highly recommended.

This is one of the worst places for selecting frames and lenses - I did NOT order any special frame (just one of the raybans which they showed me) and the lens type THEY offered was the Blue IQ lenses with extra money - one week wait became 2 weeks and then to find that it will take a month to PERHAPS get it - the excuse given was the frame was not in the warehouse first then next the lenses were not available - why did they sell it to me in the first place if they do not have the type of lenses. Perhaps a zero rating will suffice for this shop. Now I have to go and cancel the order after having waited for the prescription glasses for almost 18 days !

Very deceptive sales tactics. They pretended that the only options available via my insurance were the most expensive ones (which cost me a lot out of pocket). I literally had to pull out my insurance documents and show it to them before they showed me the cheaper option.

This store has the most vile service I have ever experienced. Unprofessional and insulting level of laziness from the employees.My first experience: I initially called to have my prescription faxed to me to buy lenses elsewhere.After wasting 45 minutes back and forth on the phone with them, and faxing a release form, they ultimately refused to send me the prescription because apparently a simple contact lens renewal requires two separate visits. One to get the prescription and the other to coerce you into buying the lenses with them rather than elsewhere. This policy was never disclosed when I got my eye exam.The second experience: I went in for a simple eye glass repair and was referred to a third party service in a bad part of town with a cash only policy.Overall a disaster - go elsewhere at all costs.
