Helpful and polite staff. Decent selection of frequently needed supplies given the small floorspace. Only complaint is they often dont put pricing properly on the items or the shelves, so its kind of a gamble or you need to bring items to the front desk to ask (which often requires waiting in line and making a decision while others are behind you)

I love this ACE. The store has everything under the 🌞 and at a fair price. They give great advice, and the owners are so personable, helpful and friendly, I wouldnt think of going anywhere else. The staff is helpful too, and very accommodating to my every question.I have been trying to support small business, even more lately, so I am very impressed that they seem to have everything here!!It also reminds me of the neighborhood ACE hardware I went to as a kid--fond memories!🥰

Ace/Menlo Park Hardware—whatever this place is called—is way larger than I expected. Tools, kitchen supplies, plants.. they’ve got a lot to offer. You can park on Santa Cruz Ave & there are many other interesting places within walking distance.

I bought a pool for my daughter I could not find elsewhere, so I am delighted with the purchase. The employees helped to tie the pool to my car.

Also known as Ace Hardware, I really like this local hardware store. They have a surprisingly large number of items and theyre knowledgeable if you have a question about some oddball home task that youre trying to perform. Theres been a few times where I thought Id have to go to Home Depot but stopped here first only to find that they had exactly what I needed. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Not only is this store more expensive, but they are snotty and proud of it. I asked why I did not get the credit for recycling my old Soda Stream cartridges, and they said that I was wrong and that all Ace Hardwares are the same. A few days later, I went back with my other Ace Hardware receipt, and their explanation was that NOT all Ace Hardwares are the same! 2 miles away is the Redwood City location, and they are unbelievably nice. I will only be shopping there from now on (and the Menlo Park location was completely content with me telling them that).

I found exactly what I needed with help from an employee...Brasso to brighten up my fabulous 45 year old copper bowl to whip up egg whites for souffles and some granite cleaner. The place is stuffed with items, but I can usually find exactly what I am looking for.

Did you ever see Doctor Who? The show with the TARDIS time machine that looks like a British police box (like a large phone booth) on the outside, but the inside is MUCH bigger? Thats what Menlo Park Hardware is like. The outside looks like a tiny storefront, but inside it is stocked floor to ceiling with every kind of hardware and gardening item. Nice helpful people too!

A little small and cramped owing to being in downtown Menlo Park. But if youre nearby and need some common hardware quick, its fine.

For a small hardware store, this place is jam-packed with useful items. Especially with Orchard Supply Hardware having been shut down, its wonderful to have a local will-stocked hardware store. The staff are pleasant and helpful when you need them.

An excellent downtown hardware store. Staff are always willing to help, even if youre just looking for something very small. Everyone is friendly and well knowledgeable. The store is always well stocked, even with things that you might go to a bigger place for (I have at one point bought enough wood to build a shed for one of my fathers projects).

Huge selection of hardware and supplies. They even had a roll of gaffing tape which was key in getting our project done. The power extension cords in our holiday scene were safely secured in place. Also convenient loading zone parking for large trucks in the back. Thanks Menlo Park Hardware!

They have everything here

Store is much larger and better equiped than you might think from the outside. They are likely to have what you need whether you are in the middle of a serious home improvement projects or you are looking for those final functional decorating accents, it is worth the stop to look see...once you are there locating something specific may pose challenging with inventory that is nearly floor to ceiling, but the staff seemed eager to help.

Menlo Park Ace Hardware always has what I need plus just about everything else you could think of. It is amazing how many items they have even though it appears they would not have enough space to carry pretty much anything youd want. Prices arent the best on some items (though the prices are not exorbitant) but the convenient location along with the variety of items make it worth the extra dollars or two. The staff are always helpful and more knowledgeable than the employees at the Home Depots Ive been to.

Last time I was there I was looking for outdoor electrical outlet covers and they were out. Hard to know if they have something instock until you arrive.

Good customer service. Quality products. I use Home depot for bulk and OSH sometimes. But if you want to talk to a useful human, Ace is the place. You will find higher quality items and the cost is worth it. Ex: for Krylon Fusion Paint over HD or OSH house brands. Knowing what a light diffuser is at Ace vs. You tell me what that is at HD.

I visited this store yesterday to pick up a box of fuses. When I went to pay the man, who seemed to be in charge, ran me up for a total of $9.25. I gave him a $20 and he gave me $.75 in change. When I told him I gave him $20, he treated me like I was a thief and argued with me in front of all the other customers. He finally said he would go check the video. After waiting for almost 20 minutes, he returned and gave me my $10 in correct change. This encounter has left such a bad taste that I will NEVER pay cash in this store and highly recommend that all customers do the same. The store itself is well stocked and convenient for residents so it certainly isnt worth it to go somewhere else but be careful at he pay out, as they will try to cheat you.
