This is the best hardware store I have ever been to. Its staffed up so there are always people to help you. Everyone is always friendly, and they always greet me when I walk in. Its a 180 degree difference from the horror show down at the Whitefish Bay store. I cant recommend this ACE enough.

The selection is good and they have staff who are ready to help you find what you’re looking for. However, the prices are a little steep. Nothing spectacular about this place, and for that reason, I’d rather go to a place like Menard’s or Home Depot where there’s an even better selection and better prices.If a business is going to charge higher prices, they need to do something to justify it. Especially when Menard’s and Home Depot have bigger selections, better prices and aren’t that far away.

Helpful.....it is in their ads and it is in their store. Sign up for their rewards program and they are just as easy as a big box store. Plus, you can be in and out without an aerobic workout concrete deserts that a Menards type place would be. They have the right mix of old timers and kids workings to always get helpful people and a smile in and out.

The Mequon Ace is everything a local hardware store should be. The staff will go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for in a friendly and efficient manner. Yes, the prices are going to be higher than the nationwide big box stores but the service is 10x better and they dont carry a lot of the low quality ripp-off junk like the orange and the green places.

Great help and service

This is hands-down the single best ACE Hardware store on the planet. The owners and employees are all great. They are all quite adept at figuring out what you need when all you can do is halfway describe what it is youre looking for. Theres free popcorn and caramel corn on two days of the week. Hopefully theyll update that on here.

This is a great local store. I shop here quite frequently. The employees always offer to assist me in finding things. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. The selection is good and the prices are ok. There are usually many discounted items available as well.

This store has everything any other good hardware store should have, and a whole lot more. They have, in stock, every fastener, part, and fitting, no matter how obscure, for every part of any home or business. And if it by chance is out of stock, theyll special order it for you. Help in the store is plentiful. Employees will walk with you to the right department and help you make selections. And oh yes, free popcorn on the weekends!

I had an important project coming up for my office and I needed some things. I was assisted in a timely manner and the young man who got me what I needed was very helpful and got me thinking of some ideas. I was very pleased until when I was browsing in the front, I noticed one of the cashiers, I believe her name was holly or molly, was on her phone when me as well as others were shopping. As I checked out I would have thought that would be a giveaway to put the phone down, but I noticed she was still on it in front of the customers, just completely oblivious to her surroundings like she did not even care.

I am usually satisfied with going to Ace, instead of the big box stores. I like the idea of using a smaller company in our neighborhood. Most people are very helpful there and I appreciate that immensely. Today, after I got treatment at my local hospital, I decided to stop at Ace since I was in the area, to pick up a few things. However, I had a significant coupon at home on my printer. I found the email on my phone, went to the site, and brought up my coupon. All it said on the site was to show the coupon to the cashier. It did not say it had to be printed, just shown. So I picked out my items and checked out. Turns out they will not take the phone coupon. They need the paper form. They also will not let you purchase the items and bring back the receipt and the coupon for later reimbursement. I find this very customer unfriendly. This is 2016, not 1998. I am very familiar with how good customer service should be provided, as I use to work in retail, among other places, that strove to provide the best customer service they could provide. Though I know the girl could not tell that I am disabled, I am, and my driving is limited. Except, the service should of been better regardless of being disabled or not. Today was very inconvenient and frustrating. I am equal distance between home improvement stores, so it is just as easy for me to take my business elsewhere.That being said, the other employees that help, in the aisles, have always been exceptional.
