We have been long term customers with MI service center. These guys are excellent. They always are looking at getting things done cost effectively and think twice before suggesting something to be done. They are trustworthy and they have proven this time and again with us for the past 10 years. They know foreign cars very well. This is a genuine team and we are fortunate to have them on the island.

They did a pre-purchase inspection done on a truck I was looking at purchasing. They were extremely thorough and very honest. The owner and his wife run the shop together and are very friendly and easy to talk to. If you’re looking for a competent and honest shop, look no further.

About 6 months ago I came here for an oil change (from the recommendation of a family member) and other maintenance for my car, including a new oil filter. When my car was due for service, I went to another mechanic closer to me who works exclusively on Japanese cars. That mechanic noted that the oil drain plug had been stripped, likely due to whoever worked on it last using an imperial size tool vs a metric one (?). He also noted that the oil filter was one of the cheapest ones on the market, and that I should bring it back to Mercer and have them fix it for me. I called MI service center, letting them know I would like the damage parts replaced. They said no problem.So I drop my car off, expecting a new plug when I get back. Low and behold (you’ve read this far, this is where it finally gets good) they didn’t have the *right* drain plug and couldn’t fix the damage they had agreed to make whole. Guess what else they made note of? The super cheap oil filter. Said they didn’t carry that part, even though I pointed out they were the last people to work on my car. Thats when I lost it. 6 months ago they essentially damaged my vehicle and charged me for an oil filter they didn’t replace. AND THEN THEY CHARGED ME AGAIN FOR THE OIL FILTER.This is just a regular scum of the earth mechanic banking on the affluent neighborhood to not be called out on their BS. Do yourself a favor and get your car serviced somewhere else, ideally where a mechanic won’t nickel and dime you for a $6 drain plug and $15 oil filter. Hope it was worth it you rapacious old man.

I had a very specific assessment to make : checking if my car could do a coast to coast before I go back to my home country. I was anxious about pieces of advice for the trip, as well as for the bill and the timing of the potential repairs. By definition, being a one time customer makes you vulnerable. Yet the team was absolutely honest and great, especially Richard, friendly and professional. He was pretty supportive of my project and flexible, charged nothing for the checking while giving precious tips. Everyone seems to work very well and I recommend the place.

For a small shop, Karl and his team possess a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Being a smaller shop, you wont be lost in the shuffle, or at least Mike (Karls son) wont allow this. A European car owners creed is, know and trust an independent service center. Drop in, meet Karl and his crew, drop your vehicle car off, trusting theyll get the job done and done right, without the concern that you would need to spend more time and money after the fact to fix the problem area...again.

Was driving across the island into Seattle on a very stormy day when the windshield wiper on the drivers side (of course) suddenly just flew off leaving me with rain sheeting down my window and poor visibility. Thankfully I was right at the last Mercer Island exit and pulled off to find this place very conveniently located close to the ramps.I explained my situation and the guys there even had the right kind of wiper blade in stock! I was thinking to just move the passenger side blade over to work in a pinch so obviously this was the ideal solution.The fella checked the arm for damage and popped the blade in for me, ensuring it was in solid. The cost was exactly on par for what I would expect and I was back out on the road and got to my appointment on time in spite of the delay.These guys really saved the day for me and I totally appreciate it!

I am really disappointed in the service and billing at MISC. I had hoped that this would be a place closer to home that I could take our 4 cars for service but I will not be back.The total bill for an A1 service on a Honda Element was $276.52. This is nearly DOUBLE what I was quoted on the phone and is more expensive than the dealership. This price is for an oil change with 2 air filters. They didnt even rotate the tires. The bulk of this invoice is for labor (1.3 hours / $161.20) which is a total rip off. (Editing to clarify that I think the hourly rate is fair, but the 1.3 hours for this work is not. Example: you dont charge someone $124 per hour to put air in a spare tire.)Beware!

I called this place to ask if they could install my recently purchased tires. The respondent said the facility doesnt usually install tires but you can come by and well take a look. He also seemed to be blowing me off, saying youve removed the profit margin as I purchased the tires elsewhere. I then asked about the services the facility provided as I did not know of its existence, being a new island resident. Well weve only been here for 42 years. I tried to ask one more follow up question, but the respondent hung up mid question.

These mechanics work very professionally and their services never go unappreciated. I love this place.

Laid back on a slow day, but still available in every way to answer all of my questions, and give feedback where needed. I came in thinking I would need several parts of my coolant system replaced, along with the alternator. Boy was I wrong! My car hadnt been starting at all, and it was idling very roughly, sometimes the battery would just be dead in the morning. Apparently, my upper radiator hose had a leak in it. They were kind enough to inform the local OReilly of my situation so we could order and install it in the same afternoon. After all the hard work, raising the car, pulling several things out, putting in the new parts, AND filling up my coolant all the way, the entire bill was only around $60. WOW!

Best customer service. Adding Coolant just took few minutes.

I brought my car here to be inspected before selling it to a potential buyer. The mechanic, (presumably the owner) said to the potential buyer and my partner than all VW Jettas are junk and wouldnt even look at the car to inspect it. Needless to say, the buyer was immediately turned off. I felt very disrespected and found him to be highly unprofessional.
