Had my hair done here today my hair professional was Charlie she was so nice and left me feeling like a new woman

ABSOLUTELY LOVED MY EXPERIENCE HERE! I went in for a full color transition from dark solid brown to honey blonde and Iris and Jimmy helped me decide which steps to take to achieve my goal. I appreciate everything they did and the hours they put in to give me the perfect color I was looking for.

Samantha M at the Meriden location was super helpful during this crazy holiday season. Most of the time you can find a knowledgeable staff member willing to help at most locations. I also really love new in Weathersfield!

I found this alto location to be super heavy on the cosmetics and very light on skin care. Perhaps it is market-based retailing, but skin care and hair care should have more square footage than a few shelves.

Made this appointment for Prom hair and makeup about a month ago.....Jennifer did an amazing job. We love it. The store manager gave my daughter great advice.The color choice was excellent

My experience at this Ulta was AMAZING. From the second you walk in you are greeted by almost every employee. I went there to try out the brow bar for the first time. I was hesitant because I dont trust anyone with my brows but Jen absolutely SLAYED them. Jen took her time and made me feel valued while I was there. Jen, Chelsea, Geoffrey, and Nicole all made my experience wonderful. 10 outta 10 would recommend for brows and any beauty needs!!!!!

Good to buy make up but not good for beauty services

Not the place to go for strip lash application at all. But does have a nice selection of drugstore and higher end products.

The store was well stocked and organized and the sales associates were very friendly and helpful.

I supposed to get a full make up done and was told on the phone that I will get 20% off because it’s my first time. then when I got in there they took forever. I never put up reviews but they didn’tnot even know what they’re doing and then finally because they are taking too long I said just do my eye make up and put my eyelashes on and they still proceeded to charge me the full amount even after they said On the phone that I would get 20% . then the manager who has a big tummy and bad edges has the worst attitude She’s like I can give you 15 percent off or you can pay the whole thing what do you want? Which one you want? from the beginning with the worst attitude I ended up paying the whole amount because I’m not gonna beg you to give me 15% I really hope that store close and the manager should be fired she’s a miserable person

Today I had my hair done by Courtney, and let me tell you... I am one of those who is petrified to let anyone cut my hair. But her, she was down to earth so friendly! I had complete faith that I was NOT going to have one of those scissor happy hairdressers. From the stripping to the filling to the actual color AND cut. Everything was PERFECT!! I seriously couldnt be any happier with how everything turned out. I would recommend her to everyone I know.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. This is the second time I have needed to exchange something and each time has been awful. I bought a curling iron and used a coupon. I needed to exchange it for the same brand and model, just a smaller barrel. Because I used a coupon on the original purchase they wanted to charge me the difference when I was purchasing THE SAME THING. The Store Manager refused to apply the original coupon I used to the item I was exchanging for. I am sorry, I am not paying more for the exact same item. It should have been a simple even exchange. I will take it to the North Haven store where the employees seem to be much more accommodating. Thanks for wasting my time Meriden!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Went in asking a question. Rude answers. Asked for makeup to cover a tattoo, explained why that person couldnt be there and that it was a last minute thing. The sales person told me he couldnt do it unless the person was there. I explained that they could not be here and that I know it might not be perfect. Not even a suggestion was made. Was just given a weird look and told again that he couldnt do anything. Asked again for a suggestion and got a shrug. Dont waste your time with this store.

Not happy. Lady at front counter (Asian) had a personality like a doorknob. She was very rude and took the pleasure of going to Ulta away! Ive seen so many people complaining about her. And its true. She was working 12/11/18. Not happy with her at all. The employees at ulta should be welcoming and happy.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I absolutely would. Not only do they have sale signs up passed their dates, but the employees are rude to customers. Not sure what the ladies name is, but she is an Asian lady with black hair working Tuesday night 12/11/18. There was a sign that stated a Clinique mascara was on sale, my mother went to check out and they told her the sale was over. My mother showed an employee who didn’t even apologize when she noticed the sign was still up. She says “oh that sale is over, we forgot to take down the sign” and walks away. Unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. Taking my business to the North Haven establishment where the employees treat you like you’re another person. I hope this lady gets fired soon because she is horrible and is not doing that location justice. Disgusting.

Ulta is the ultimate beauty store. Why did I ever buy makeup at CVS? I love the service that you get when you need help here, they are always great. And the selection is pretty incredible. From Maybelline to Clinique, one stop shopping is the way to go.

Went to this location today for a hair cut. The stylist, Iris, was super quiet during the whole appointment. I don’t know much about hair, so I showed her 3 pics of what I wanted (two were of me from a few years ago) which was to cut off the split ends, remove length, and have side swept bangs.There were a few times where there was a phone call or someone at the desk, which I know she had to address, but she didn’t even say anything, just kind of walked away each time.She ended up not touching my bangs at all, even though they were crazy long, and didn’t style a side swept bang at all. Also, she didn’t cut much length off. (When she said I was “all done” I had her fix those issues, though)She asked if I wanted my hair flat ironed, and I said sure! As I was paying at the front I realized that she charged me for it. She never told me if it would be any cost, just asked if I wanted it.The woman at the front desk (a manager, I think) was very apologetic, and gave me a sample face cream for the flat iron issue.I can’t say this is the best haircut I’ve ever had. It was ok, in the end. She ended up thinning my already somewhat thin hair out, which sucks.I’ve been to the north haven one before, though, and had no problems. I probably won’t be coming back to this Ulta, which sucks because it’s much closer to where I live now.

I am very disappointed. As I am always coming to this store,I had a bad experience for the first time, almost all of the employees were standing in a circle laughing and talking not helping anyone in the store or even asking them for help they were about 10 feet away from me. I tried multiple foundations on as it was very obvious I was struggling. And after about 45 minutes and me being too uncomfortable to disrupt what was going on, I left buying no make up I will not be returning to this store.

The associates are really snotty-except for one guy who is very friendly and greeted me, asking if I needed help. Sorry I forgot his name. My first time to shop at an Ulta store and not pleased. Next time,.Ill stick to online shopping. I have an Ultamate Rewards Credit card. Take your business elsewhere lol.

Went in this day looking for a hair dye and wasnt even a busy day but no one stopped their chitchat and gossip to help me look for a product. They walked right past me, looked at me and kept gossiping! If it were a no star rating, thats what I would give the Meriden Mall Ulta Beauty. Helpless!

Not one person greeted us as we walked into the store nor did they ask if we needed help. Also, the woman checking us out had by far the worst attitude I’ve experienced in a store. She literally was tossing my items in the bag and made everything seem like it was extreme effort to do. The people here are lazy, very uncourteous and not helpful whatsoever. I suggest new employees and management if this store wants to stay alive!

I have gotten my hair cut and dyed (full blonde) at Ulta Salons for years. Went to the Meriden Ulta and got a trim by Rhiana. Not only did she cut about 4 inches off my hair (now its at my chin) but there are CHUNKS of hair missing in the back and on the sides. I told her NOT to shorten the back, and she did so - unevenly! The hair on the left was about an inch shorter than the hair on the right and the texture was NOT blended at all. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I had to have my roommate fix the cut and now Im being dodged by management to get a refund.

So i live in waterbury, so i USED to go to the ulta there I feel like they always think im stealing, constantly watching every move i do but dont bother asking me for help so i leave. So tried wethersfield too because they have a mac counter but it is soo messy and i feel like i cant find anything in there. Then i went to meriden ulta. THE STAFF (and let me tell you) IS AMAZING when i came in i was greeted by a cashier and 2 people on the sales floor right away. I was looking for foundation and the 2 ladies that helped me was Amanda and Laura. They were both very patience with me and all the things i was asking. I stated i wasnt very good with makeup and she was super understanding and took her time to show me how to correctly apply the products. Then when i asked for a good lipgloss she then showed me her expert I forgot his name but it started with a G (phenomenal lips by the way) and he found my perfect shade and lip combo in the first try. The staff here is amazing, I see the previous reviews for this place and its disgusting and racist, so i had to chime in and give my wonderful experience I had here. Out of all the makeup store ive been too this is by far the best one. GREAT JOB ulta meriden. I will be shopping here for now on!

Dont go here.. this ulta should shut down.. useless place.. Worst customer Service ever .. very racist.. For a brand like Ulta this place is a shame.. they try to drive customers out by shouting loudly I have been bullied here multiple times .. use to love going to ulta but Hate going there now..
