I have had bright hair for over a decade and when I started seeing her I got, no joke, triple to quadruple the compliments on my hair.As well, I have always felt 100% safe and respected at the shop and as a trans person that is vital. These ladies do some of the best color work in CT! Plus their professionalism, humor and easy going personalities make for an amazing experience all around. Good color work takes time, but I honestly have such a blast in there that hours feel like minutes! Plus, the boutique is a perfect place for locally made and hand crafted gifts! This is a business that prides themselves on not just marketing for themselves, but for other small businesses around them! All in all a wonderful experience, prices are super reasonable and I always leave with a few extra goodies on my way out the door! Would recommend to anyone looking for amazing hair work!!

I love Potions Salon and Boutique. I’ve purchased many products from their shop and keep coming back. I love their products so much I can’t seem to stop buying stuff 😂. I absolutely love their sugar scrubs! They leave my skin feeling smooth and moisturized and I even noticed a difference in the appearance of my stretch marks and cellulite after using it. I highly recommend doing business with them! They are friendly, professional, and make amazing quality products.

Wow! Their boutique is AMAZING! I have been waiting to find a cool little gem in this town and I found it. I was able to find exactly what I needed and feasted my eyes on some cool crystals, books, tarot cards and much much more. I will be one loyal customer from now on 🙏🏽

I have been going to Sarah for years and was so excited when Potions Salon and Boutique opened. All of the stylists in the salon are professional and amazing at what they do. The bonus of the cute boutique in front really makes this place stand out! I am always impressed with the handmade items and interesting finds they have for sale. I love looking around during my visits to see what new and interesting items they have added. Great place to find unique gifts for those hard to shop for people in your lives! I cant recommend this place highly enough! Go there and give them your money! You wont be disappointed!

Love this place!!! Super fun and witchy lobby, great hairstylists! Not only can you get any color done (Ive gotten from green to pink), but you can also get fabulous gifts like crystals and tarot decks, knits and books. Highly recommend.

I recommend this business for absolutely everyone. All of the stylists are incredibly kind and professional. They create a welcoming environment for everyone and I am constantly looking forward to my next haircut! Every time I get my hair cut or styled here I feel so confident and beautiful. Everyone listens to their clients and helps them feel like their most confident selfs. They can do everything from a standard haircut, to bright neons and rainbow colors! Absolutely love them!

From the moment I received a text from Sarah, I knew this was going to be a good experience. She was so informative from telling me what to expect upon arrival, to letting me know how the hair process would go. She greeted me with the biggest smile and made me feel so welcomed and excited to be there. The shop is incredible to say the least. Beauty is all around you from the locally crafted jewelry, candles, and soaps to the art work on the walls and the hair products Sarah makes herself and actually used in my hair while I was there (which made my hair so soft and silky, I just had to buy it 😍). The music is good, the vibe is everything, and the conversation flowed as if we have known each other for years. You can tell that they care about supporting their community, and you will leave so happy you supported these dope ladies. Everything I expected was exceeded, I freaking love my hair, and I left feeling like this will be my forever salon.

I have purchased several items from their Etsy Shop, and since I live 2 hrs away... it has been my go to during the pandemic. I truly have benefited from the self care items I have bought. Everything from the goat milk soap for my eczema to the prosperity candles for my sanity (and everything in between)!Everything is carefully labeled, professional, on time, and top quality. I trust that I am receiving quality products that are made with positive and guided energy.

I absolutely love every visit to Potions. The salon & shop are bright & welcoming. The shop has so many unique/fun/local products, its a great place to browse for a gift or stock up on essentials like soap & incense! All of the hair stylists are nice and fun to chat with. I have my hair done by Sarah and appreciate how she always listens to what I ask for & then makes my hair dreams reality (my cousins keep raving about how natural my hair looks, went from natural blonde->red & they say it looks like its always been my hair!). 10/10 recommend - wont go anywhere else!

Amazing shop and wonderful hair stylists. The shop has a cute, witchy, empowering atmosphere, which I adore. I will only see Sarah for my hair! Ive been here twice in the last year and had previously never colored my hair before (other than box dye). Sarah did an amazing job not only lifting the black box dye out of my hair, but getting my hair to the orange/red/yellow tones I wanted!I love this salon so much! I dont think I can ever go back to having normal colored hair!

One of the best salon experiences Ive had in a long time! Not only is everyone who works there super pleasent but they just do a magnificiant job for an amazing price. They won me over as a customer after just being in the shop for five minutes 😍 👌 if you check out their insta youll see all the fantastic work they do. Thats where I found them actually. Rachel is so sweet and accommodating for my time schedule needs even making the time to take me late one night due to a schedule mix up. She does a fantastic with fantasy colors, and honestly I get excited as soon as I leave already planning my next hair color 😂
