Front desk girls are amazing. I wanna say that first and foremost. However this ompany hides behind the inspect first policy that I believe is grey area at best.. I bought a ring it was incorrectly sized and instead of acknowledging and owning a mistake I was offered a credit or the obvious I can keep it. If there was a flaw and I missed it thats my mistake. If your incompetence made an error thats your mistake. I spend a lot of money with this auction house. We even bought two cars. This really left a bad taste in my mouth. Its not about the amount of money its the principle. Ill be searching for a new place going forward.

Used to like this place. Bought a truck, firearms silver etc. I won an auction approximately four months ago. Called to pay was on hold for 26 minutes. I called back the next day was on hold 15 and again later I called back and was hung up on. Never got the items I wanted .Fast forward a month and half I bought some book safes with no issues and sold a pearl necklace. Had no issues. Then yesterday my account is closed as I go to bid on a car. No reason other than she says too many non payment items. Kinda hard to pay if you dont answer your phone calls just saying. I wont bother what a joke

The staff is always attentive, kind, and speedy. Today I received exceptional service by Robin; the office manager. I had a predicament that caused me to arrive late at the end of their business day after. With a simple call they had my stuff ready for loading which was a relief; especially after a 2 hour driver to the action. Turns out I arrived without any of my tools. Robin not only provided me the much needed screw driver but she also helped me wrestle all of my belongs into my vehicle. She was my superhero of the day!! P.S. I love the fact their website is an honest, accurate, and reliable source for products. Thanks for all you do Robin and staff!

I enjoy buying cars there but descriptions aren’t accurate. Some have major transmission or engine issues that are not mentioned. If these cars are driven 5 miles like stated they need to describe these cars better. I’ve had a few 4 wheel drives with bad differentials that run thousands of dollars to fix and if I would have known this before bidding I would have never bid on them in the first place. A little more honesty wouldn’t hurt.

Seller Beware:My family does a lot of auctions. We thought we would try this auction place out. This was our first time at this particular place. We had two truck loads of stuff. We had everything itemized and listed out on a document. One for them, and a copy for us. First off, we had a bunch of construction things to be listed all together. Only half showed up on auction. Later, like two weeks later when we picked up a check it was mentioned then the rest was posted. We had items that were sold and we saw them sold. printed it out and didnt get paid for them until it was brought to there attention. they researched and it was posted on other peoples accounts. We had items that were expensive disappear no where to be found. They couldnt locate them. We were reimbursed pennies for them. We had to go pick up checks on Fridays, We spent more time tracking everything and making sure we got everything sold and accounted for. We would have had a great yard sale or put them on market place and would have done extremely better.Staff really wasnt that helpful and always pushed to warehouse staff to figure out the problem. There systems of operation are lacking in my experience especially when tracking items. Truly disappointed! I have never had a worst service in a auction house.

Very unorganized. Took some items there to liquidate from my business. After 6 months and several phone calls (with no calls being returned) They could not tell me if my items had been sold or not, and could not find my items. My goal was for a quick and easy outlet for my materials, which ended up taking longer, and being more work for me to figure out what happened to my stuff. They are still in the process of finding my items....I wouldnt recommend them to liquidate business items.

Purchased an IPad from the Meridian Public Auction which had the description explaining that it turns on/operates appropriately. Upon picking up the item I find that it is locked by the previous owner and is basically useless. Not to mention it was advertised as an IPad not the IPad mini that it is. I call the auction house and Apple support and was told there is nothing they can do to help. My mistake to not see this in person before purchasing, I guess I figured seeing it was unlocked would be pretty basic for them to ensure. Buyer beware they are not very through at checking the inventory they sell.

Very shady, dishonest, and borderline fraudulent hibid online auctioneers. Listed and auction with 3 basketball card sets. Did not take pictures of the inside, indicating they were complete. Took pictures of the inside of the box of all other sports cards, but not this one. They knew they were not complete which is why they did not picture the inside. Very dishonest.

I buy allot of merchandise from meridian auction. And have had no problems at all. But this last time I bought a waterless water heater. Went to pick up and some lady that had bought the much smaller tank less heater. When she went to pick it up they where busy so she went and helped herself. When she did this she grabbed mine the bigger one. She refused to return it because she said it was installed. So this really screwed me. I had already got a plumber to install and they where going to install it that day when I picked it up. So now I have no thankless water heater. The only reason they got 2 stars is because of my experience in the past. There response was there was nothing they could. Not a good reply since it was there screw up.

So this place is the absolute best! They have great employees that helped me find everything that I needed. A woman named Bella helped me and she was the best. Supper kind and helpful. If you every find yourself needing the Public Auction house definitely ask for her!!

Terrible to deal with, I bought an item and the ms aged and her staff where terrible to deal with. The staff could care less about the customers. They took 8 weeks to ship me my item. You cannot pay with your credit card on bigger purchases even though the hibids website is set up for that. The manager made me jump through hoops by driving to my bank an hour away and getting a special bank draft. You know why? These people have had problems with the customers not being happy and having the credit card company refuse payment to them. Do not deal with this auction, worst buying experience ever in twenty years of collecting.

Absolutely avoid this place at all costs. The owner, Josh, will pick through your items and keep what he wants and tell you they are lost. This was WITNESSED by employees. For those of you who experienced lost items, especially ones of value, this was very likely the case.He is a lowlife crook.

I wanted to thank this company for every thing they have done for the community. They try their best to picture lot and upload auctions on time. And I understand that sometimes things can get misplaced and when they do the employees try their best to find or fix whats wrong. Be very, very cautious about purchasing a vehicle from Meridian Auction. I bought what I thought was a vehicle in great shape. They never mentioned the check engine light in the listing. I bought the vehicle and it needs a new engine. I wrote them a letter asking why they didnt mention the check engine light. No reply, and Im making no more purchases with them, or Musick Auction (same owner). Buyer beware!!

Got a freezer that said it turns on but picked it up and doesnt turn on. all they do is sell junk, stuff meant for the scrap yard and sell it misleading people. This is the second time I have purchased something from this auction and lies were stated on auctioneer notes.

Theyre not a legitimate business. They are either the most disorganized business youve ever seen or thieves. I dont think its possible to lose track of dozens and dozens of items and accidentally keep the money in THEIR OWN ACCOUNT!

Buying is ok except they dont take extra care to get good pictures of wear on items. Selling is terrible. TWICE I dropped items and they said 2 to 2 weeks they woukd post. 5 weeks later still not posted. Called they said 2bm weeks more at most but 3 weeks later still not posted. I picked up my items. Done with trying..

My wife and I have gone to their offices 2-3 times in the last few weeks to take a look at items up for auction. Each time we were met by Jordan who has to be one of the nicest and most helpful person you’ll ever meet. Ask for him when you go there and you’ll know why we took the time to give him this shout out.

Buyer beware on their listings. I recently bought an item without reviewing it first. I went off their description and only their description. The description and photo did not match and I couldnt get any answers until after the auction was finalized and they told me I purchased a product for nearly twice the going price. Highly unorganized and I wish I would have looked at other reviews before working with them. There are several other reviews with the same issue, them saying one thing and the actual item not being as described. So unless you can go and review in person I would stay away from this auction at all costs.

I asked them to add a picture or two to the listing(4 days before the auction) because the only ones had a strap blocking the image. In past experiences with other auction houses especially in the times of Covid this was no problem. These guys told me its too difficult. And I could come down. Id bet they are hiding damage and dont want to de-value an item. Buyer beware. Thats all I have to say.

Great place to do Business!I have bought items from MPA in the past and the office staff is always very friendly and helpful. My last purchase was a vehicle but when I went to pick it up we discovered that there was a problem with it. Andrea immediately went to work to resolve the problem. I was introduced to the owner, Josh and I discovered that he is a person with honesty and integrity, and truly cares about his customers and his business. I will definitely continue doing business with them!!

Great Staff! Weve Purchased a number of items from cars to coffee pots from mpauctions.com and theyve always been as described when we went to pick them up. The people who work the front desk are friendly and the people who work in the warehouse will try to answer questions if they can.

Josh, Jess, Shell, and Becky always go above and beyond to take care of me and my Family. I would give them 10 stars if I could. They make us feel important, welcomed, and like we are a part of their Family. BEST auction in the Treasure Valley, no questions asked! 😁

Not a huge fan. Read the terms and saw they shipped. Was totally ok with paying any shipping rate or processing fees associated. Was told on the phone that if you are local (not defined what that means) that they will not do any shipping. Again I was ok with paying any processing or shipping fees. Wont buy from them again. Not a good trend for customer service.

Current employee. Absolutely love the staff, the flexible hours and my bosses. The hours are long but the day goes by fast. We have a lot of fun and are like a big family.

I purchased an item that was pictured to be complete and in the box but upon pick up found that it was missing critical parts rendering it unusable. I inquired to see what could be done with it and they offered to re-consign it for me and give me a break on a future purchase. The idea that some other sap would them end up with an unusable product didnt appeal to me so I kept it. They should have returned it to the seller and refunded my money. I am disappointed with there decision.

We purchased a car from the auction that had passed the 5 mile test drive and did not include any notes from the owner about issues. However, after about 10 miles of driving the transmission slips and hard shifts. The longer it’s driven the worse it gets. We called the auction house and they asked us to bring it back in. Josh, the owner, took the car out for a drive and noticed the issue too. He told us that he would issue a refund and let the original owner know to come get it as they won’t allow it back in their auction since it’s an obvious transmission problem the owner should have disclosed.We appreciated the swift resolution and Josh’s integrity.

Horribly ran business, they lose thing you bring to sell. Can’t keep payments straight. I would strongly suggest never doing business with them.

Bought several lots of loose gems all with certificate of authenticity, when we had them tested they were all glass. After contacting the auction house they said they would nothing about it.

Purchased a truck from them. The main selling point they advertised was ONLY 68k miles. Called to inquire about it. Was assured it was a fleet rig. Upon pick they tell me they can’t prove miles and was from a private seller. Every other vehicle listed does not mention miles in the main heading. I feel like any auction worth anything would be better at being honest. They were deceptive about the whole thing. I will never recommend or purchase from them again.

We had to wait for 2 weeks before we could pick up items that wereoff-site, and when we did pick up, one chair was missing. They did give us another chair, but the whole experience was less than pleasant... :-(

My critique is aimed at several of the women who are part of the front office staff. You know who you are. Your customer service skills are some of the worst I have ever experienced. The first clue is when a customer walks in and no one bothers to look up or even acknowledge their presence. The new owner Josh was finally able to resolve my issue of getting paid for an item that was sold at auction and for that I am appreciative. My advice to the new owner is you need to pay close attention to the people who represent your business at the front counter. They are hurting your business.

If I could leave zero stars or negative I would do so.I normally sell at a different auction, but thought I would try meridian public auction instead.I brought a very large load of good quality items in, and met two teenage kids at the warehouse door, they seemed very confused on their job, very unorganized, to say the least, the one kid said it may be easier if I just write down the items for him as the two of them pick through it, and decide what they want to sell, crazy to me when I know all of my merchandise was good, and sellable as I have been selling at other auctions for years. Well I ended up taking 1/2 of the items to a different auction with no problem listing.I was told they would be adding my items in different auctions as they could match things like knives and coins with coins and such, approximately 6 weeks was what I was told it would take to sell all items.I called over a month and a half later only to find out they had a check for two items and did not know where the other items were, a total of 76 items missing .Of course I am a bit disgruntled, but kept my cool,the woman at the front desk said to talk to Becki, and she was not working that day, so I called back and reached her, she had no idea why I called, the secretary never told her about my situation, so I explained it again, she said she would look into it and call me back, so I waited for the call that never came, so a week later I called back, she said she figured out what happened and would put together a list that matched my list(luckily I had taken down what items,they had when the kid did not want or know how to do his job)she again said she would call me back, well guess what?....never happened so again I call and she said she would have a check ready by friday, I said great, well I called Friday and no check and the woman who answered the phone was hateful, told me to call back Monday as Becky was off and did not leave a note or anything.This situation kept going on for four months, short version they never found all the items but did find most and, I am so tired of dealing with them, I am seriously thinking about letting them keep whatever they owe m.To sum up I will never ever trust them with any of my items again and would highly recommend to anyone not to deal with these crooks!

Update: I recently had a problem with a purchase that was very upsetting to me. After a few attempts, I was able to get a hold of the owner and he is making it right. I am very happy with the result and he turned a negative experience into a better one. I appreciate his help.Previous review (1star): I buy items frequently here but since the latest staff change out front, it’s been difficult. Immediately after walking in, they make you feel uncomfortable and the girl off to the side just stares. Looking at your clothes and just you in general. It’s weird. Then I went to get the Kindle I bought and it’s case it said it came with. They couldn’t find it. They said it was there yesterday and now it’s gone. I needed the case so I asked for a refund and IMMEDIATELY, their attitude changed for the worse. You could almost hear the eye roll! The red head was now huffing and puffing as if it was my fault they lost the case... I couldn’t believe it. I thought they’d be more understanding since they were the ones who obviously lost it. I got my money back and she all but shoved it at me. I encouraged them to try to not make people feel like that when they come here and to try to not be so rude when it clearly wasn’t our fault. Be careful with these guys.

Bid on an item today. Watch the counter go down to zero, soft close, and then price realized. I won the item and started to arrange transportation for my new prize. Walked by the computer 10 minutes after the bid close and the screen showing price realized changed to outbid. Never received an outbid email or time to raise my bid. Called the company and the owner will be in touch (We will see if he actually calls back). This is shady business............I would recommend anyone that is dealing with this company to screen shot your items when you think you have won (they may change it on you after bidding is over)

Such an amazing place to do business both buying and selling! Once you win once you will be back because they constantly have great things up for auction. Amazing customer service very fast and friendly :) we will be back again and again.

Professional staff, central location, great for buying and selling. One thing that would be helpful for buyers is to be open on Saturdays for preview. Otherwise you cannot go wrong with Roger and crew.

Like other people have said they can’t find your stuff once you’ve paid for it. I just left and they found 4 out of 13 items. Not even half.... Seems to be a Real lack of management and leadership here. I don’t think it’s the employees fault there seems to be pretty high turnover here but when there’s a problem there seems to be no one to help them this place is really gone downhill and I don’t really know why I keep buying from here

TI showed up today to pickup the items I won the auction for. Paid for them out front then told to go to the warehouse to pick up the items. Spent close to an hour waiting while they looked for all the items I had purchased and paid for. After while Tony told me I could get my money back or give them a day to search. Never an offer to contact me, I have to go back again to see if they have found it. Not good customer service, first the lost items, and then I have to spend more of my time to find out if they found the items I paid for.

I wasted 2 hours of my time bidding on a truck had 2 phone calls from Meridian Auctions asking was I sure i wanted to purchase!!! I told them yes i understand having the truck shipped.. my Bid was declined and i was the highest bid.. but because I didnt live within. A 500 miles radius he sold to a local person in which my bid was $600 higher.. (BAD BUSINESS)!! this should be on your website we dont sell to people out of STATE.. The online bidding is garbage!! Seen that if your not local you cant purchase anyway.its not an on_line auction its for locals only (Dont waste your time Bidding if you out of state)

Since buying the business from Roger Warco it has gone downhill in a bad way. I bid on some items, won them, paid for them, went to pick them up, and they were gone. No one was there representing the auction. Then they had the gall to refuse returning my money. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

I feel this company is shady .During our bud the last 30 sec refresh happened and the click added 4 min as it should if there was a new bidder but there wasntI even refreshed again a d looked at the bid list and nothing was there.Then in the next refresh it said we were outbid . It just looked like fraud the truck we were bidding on was selling to cheap so they kicked it up so we couldnt purchase for that amount.I suggest if you his on anything watch the last few seconds and see if the same happened to you.Also Ive had several emails from the manager trying to convince me that this was legit. Im not buying what he is claiming. Im calling the state tomorrow and having them investigate.Please email me if you had the same type if issue. Thanks
