I am so disappointed with the Eagle Island Fred Meyer. I have been shopping at that location for several years, but sadly am beginning to think its time to take my business elsewhere. First of all, whoever decided it was a good idea to completely remodel the store and re-arrange ALL the merchandise should be fired. I get that changes here and there help drive customers to aisles that they maybe wouldnt otherwise frequent. But the major changes that have been made are disorienting and were unnecessary. Everyone is walking around lost, add the fact that the aisles are crowded with displays so you cant get carts through and it makes for a miserable shopping experience. Then the are the long lines, no matter what day or time we go in. We are short staffed, only goes so far. Removing multiple full service cash registers and installing more self check isnt the answer. Just look at the lines, people want full service. I went through self service recently and what a nightmare. There isnt enough room in the bagging area if you have more than a few items, but if you try to remove something to make room the whole process comes to a halt. Newsflash, people with families have full carts when they do their weekly shopping, they are paying ALOT of money and would enjoy the convenience of not having to be their own cashier. I have had pleasant interactions with the employees and do my best not to take it out on them, but management needs to pay attention, and fast, because there are other options and people will choose to shop elsewhere if something isnt done.
Just went in really quick to pick up some picture frames for my kids school photos. Fred Meyer is always easy to navigate and find what you need. Immediately found some nice frames for a decent price and noticed there was a 20% off sign. The frames were relatively cheap so it wouldn’t be too much but every little bit helps. I went to check out and saw the lines were extremely long, 3 registers open with lines 5 to 8 people deep. I immediately headed towards self checkout till I saw it was twice as backed up. I saw the customer service counter and approached the cashier Kitty and asked if I could buy my stuff there. She responded with a sigh and said “yeah I guess” she quickly scanned my 3 items and told me the total which was full price, I asked if they were on sale to which her response was “only if you’re a rewards member… are you?!” I am not a rewards member and with a Winco across the street and a Costco down the street I’ll be taking my business elsewhere from here on out.
My issue is with changing rooms. If you keep the doors locked you better keep someone there to open them. I dont like walking around finding someone. So I put the clothes back and left. Wont shop there for clothes again.
Our go-to neighborhood store has 91 octane fuel for our cars, motorcycles, and pressure washer; fresh produce, fresh flowers, fish and seafood, wine, gardening, kitchen gadgets, gifts, cards, incense, candles, and even home decor! Super convenient location near home, Orangetheory Fitness, and Costa Vida!
I have never been so disgusted with someones behavior. My 6 year old daughter and I were shopping for her baby sister and needed help so a very nice young lady was helping us when her coworker came up and interrupted me to yell at this young girl and was using VERY foul words. I asked her to not talk like that in front of my daughter and she LITERALLY told me that as a customer I have no say in how she treats her employees. I made a complaint and found out her name is Char and I truly hope that she gets in some sort of trouble because that was not ok and I will not be coming back.
Never seen people work so slow.Watched them waste time and movements 1 hour wait with only 8 customers in front of me. Either not training, or intentionally slowing things down
I shop at this location very often because I work near by. Every time I come in I see an employee by the name of Christina working so hard. She is so efficient and so kind. She seems to have the kind of work ethic you can only hope to find in an employee because it’s so rare. I hope she gets the appreciation from management and Fred Meyers that she deserves. Thank you for making my day Christina! (:
The store refuses to keep the face mask sign up. Which is the only thing that got the mouthbreathing, volunteer liabilities to actually wear a mask. So theyre casually murdering scores of people and threatening to tank the economy, again. Thanks, guys. Just another way that your irrational denial of reality is making you a dragging burden for your country.
Clothing associate named Deirdre with a sleeve tattoo thinks it’s okay to belittle and shame customers who come in to try on clothes. We get that you get triggered by people unfolding your neat stacks but guess what, your job as a merch associate is to literally uhhh… fold clothes.
I have ben going to Fred Meyer for over 10 years. I love it! But I am so frustrated with their pharmacy. Their pharmacist are rude have zero customer service skills. I hesitated to make this review until I knew this issue was consistent. I will be switching to Walgreens Pharmacy.
I usually like this store and most of the employees are always professional and courteous. Today I had trouble with a coupon at the self check out; scanned the coupon, heard that it scanned and paid the bill. Once I looked at the receipt and saw it didnt apply, I asked the self check person for help. She said I need to go up to the Customer Service desk (where there was a line) and when I nicely asked if she could please fix it there (I had one other checker fix a coupon not too long ago at self check out) and she said well I can try but she still said it would be quicker if I went to customer service. Well I found out she is a manager named Connie! Shame of her for not wanting to do her job and provide an easy fix right then and there. No excuse for that imo.
Big trucks making deliveries should turn in by Oreillys off of Chinden. Docks are facing West.
Found some earrings marked $100 in a rack with 50% off sign. Attendant agreed the price would be $50 but they rung up as $75 at the register. Attendant said there was nothing she could do and that there was no manager available that could resolve the issue. We walked out. Fred Meyer lost a sale and our respect.
They need to hire more employees. No matter what section I’m in, whenever I have a question about an item, there’s no one around. Sometimes I wouldn’t need help if you’d put items on the right spot or put price tags on an item. I was here today and there was an item that didn’t have its price tag in front of it, I searched the entire isle and couldn’t find the tag. I tried searching for an employee but none were to be found. I didn’t want to wait in line at customer service for the second time since it’s so slow, and so I had to walk clear over to self checkout just to find out the price of an object. Now don’t you think it would’ve been done a lot quicker if you had price tags where they belong AND more employees doing their job?
Love that they let you shop in peace! Because this is America and we ARE allowed to shop in peace. If you dont like that, then BYE! go to a different store :)
We have shopped at this Fred Meyer for the past 8-10 years (ever since it opened). However, they do nothing to enforce their mask policy. We asked in store that they address several aggressive non-mask wearers and they did nothing. After we got home, we called the manager, who was the least professional manager of any store I have ever spoken to. You could feel him shrugging his shoulders and saying I dont care through the phone. I would be curious if Fred Meyers policy is to not enforce legal mandates and risk OSHA and other fines because they are too afraid to appropriately run their store. I will be filing a formal complaint, which I doubt will do anything, but I would like Kroger Corporate to understand this stores management short comings. Additionally, I would encourage anyone concerned to file an OSHA report. They can and will be fined for non-compliance. This puts other customers and their employees at risk.
Disastrous at Fred Meyers today long lines at the checkouts No staff to serve customers. Poor show. Need to Install more self checkout stations. August 13th, 2021 3:00 p.m.
Good sushi and mochi. also i love the rosé stuff but i dropped it in the parking lot so i fled the scene. nice place tho
I like Fred Meyers, but they are doing an awful job following COVID safety precautions. So many unmasked customers, they all seem so proud at how selfish they are. Not only that, but most employees I saw were either wearing face shields with no masks underneath, neck gaiters, or wearing a mask below their nose. NOT OKAY!
Just saying I didnt know we had so many Karens in Idaho.Great place to shop around. If you move out of California, leave your BS mentality there
They do a great job on mask enforcement and with a 99.6% survival rate I feel comfortable shopping here regardless of what the clueless Karens say They also have any product you need under the sun.
No complaints. Clean, friendly, and decently priced
Good selection and decent, fresh produce.
Store always clean. In the produce department when something is out the produce employees have always dropped everything to go look to see if they have it. Aaron is a standout..always helpful and up beat and willing to help.
Fred Meyer is a great place, friendly, clean, great staff, but in my opinion a little pricey, and you can get many of the items cheaper at other places. Love their selection in everything though, very diverse
Great customer service! Carol in the bakery is amazing!
We have always shopped at Fred Meyer, this is a nice store. However, the last few times weve been there they have announcements on the p.a. saying masks required, yet I see dozens of people without them including employees so apparently there are no teeth. Albertsons market street customers and employees seem to be following the cdc recommendations, and though the prices are a little higher were not risking our life to shop there.
Love this Freds. Staff are friendly. Great selections of flowers, produce, meats, and all other grocery store offerings. Clothing department has some good selections. Live the active wear when they have sales. Furniture has a decent amount of items...wish the toy department was larger or had more selections. Overall love this store. Never have to wait on line..they are always looking and willing to open a register to get you out....that I Love!
Every time this Fred Meyer, Eagle Island, has various meats on sale they are always out when I go to purchase. I made a special trip to the store Tuesday afternoon to purchase the Petite Sirloin steaks they had advertised in their ad. Out of stock of course and the sale ended that day!! In speaking with one of the guys from the meat department that I had check on the steaks he even admitted they do the bait and switch thing. Dont advertise something that you knowingly will not have in stock.
Not enough lanes open. Long wait in line
Our #1 grocery store! Great fresh produce that lasts for days and their staff is always nice. We love their rewards program that includes fuel.All-around a great store to shop at!
The Eagle Fred Meyer has a great selection of cheeses and routinely had good quality and price for various meats. They occasionally have very good sales on wild salmon. They carry a handful of ingredients that you cant get anywhere else. They have a good selection of beers and a growler station. I also appreciate that they have fruit available for kids to eat while shopping. The deli is pretty good.
This Fred Meyer is awesome, and the best location to shop at. The employees here are SO helpful and go above and beyond!
I would hope all the Fred Meyers locations are like this one. Staff is super friendly and its clean. Like, clean everywhere. Any time I ask for help finding something, a staff person is ready to drop what they are doing and walk with me to where the item I want is located. That is great service. I dont expect them to do that, but they always do it. Deli and meat counters are great too! Great selection.
I am dairy intolerant and they have so many options, and my family has been using this epic store for so long.
Love Freddys. As with any chain, watch for the weekly ads and specials. Best quality meat, bakery (baguettes) of any of the other local stores. Nice produce and frequent dairy specials. Plus, it is not just groceries. An all round good shopping experience
Some of the worst customer service Ive seen around, Walmart does better.
Every Fred Meyer store varies from one another. There are commonalities as well as unique features; the Meridian location on Chinden is a favorite of mine! I could spend more time than I usually have just meandering up and down each aisle. This location was my 1st experience to Fred Meyer and I have never been disappointed!
Its a really big store. Maybe too big really. Its easy enough to find groceries versus department store stuff. It feels a little dark inside, buy maybe thats just floor / ceiling colors. May take a few more visits to figure out how everything is organized.
I love shopping at the Eagle Island Fred Meyer! The store is always clean and easy to shop. The rewards, fuel points, and being able to designate a portion of my purchase to our local elementary school makes it even better.
Great Customer Service! couldnt be friendlier! Over all product selection is good. They have a great point system that allows diverse rewards, very fun!.love the environment very comfy, almost like home, all Around 5 stars!!!!
If you live in the area its a perfect on stop shop. Everything seems a little better quality and the prices reflect that but things are on sale often enough to compensate. I always hit up the fresh fish and shoe sales.
I use their online ordering and pick up service weekly. Always great customer service, produce is perfect. If they are out of a certain item they always upgrade for no charge. Victoria was wonderful today!! Thank you for making this so easy!
This Fred Meyer is a one-stop shop, much like Albertsons, Target, and Home Depot combined. Video rental and jewelry are on site, too!Asian food section is much better than before, now including various hot sauces, noodles, and tea.
I love this Fred Meyer! I live exactly half way between here and Walmart on Ten Mile & West McMillan. Everything is always fresh, They have all the brands my family uses. Plenty of lanes are open and if you even as much as slightly look ready to check out, a Fred Meyer employee will politely snag you up and do the one-on-one checkout with you. Always polite, Always fast, always fresh. I love this place so much i dont even look at the prices.
Ive always enjoyed shopping at Fred Meyer. Excellent store and even better staff.
Awesome store. The shopping experience, however, is subpar. Too many people. My conservative estimate of the ratio of out of state transplants to natives is 3:1. And if the manner in which the transplants operate their shopping carts is indicative of how they operate their vehicles its probably best to stay in and have your groceries delivered because, yikes.
This is my favorite Fred Meyer location. They have a decent organic selection and a good variety of products in every department. It is a newer location and is clean and laid out fairly well. I like that the groceries are in the middle of the store.
My shopping experience was very nice. Im disabled and the employees know when Im getting very tierd and always checking to make sure Im doing good. Cashier was very professional and sweet. Carryout and extra help loading my care very helpful and always a big smile. 5 star. Garden center was also very helpful and professional. Thank you.
Unfortunately, as usual this company monopolizes on other peoples misfortune. Ive had problems with each store location but currently there arent a lot of options for stores open in the valley. I attempted to exchange 2 apparel items that I purchased for my children for Easter 2 days after I purchased them with my receipt because they were the wrong size. Because they left the store, and because of the threat of COVD-19 apparently FredMeyer wont accept any returns. If this fact had been printed on my receipt or had been stated beforehand, I certainly wouldnt have shopped at FredMeyer. Apparently this is a corporate policy. But, the clerk- without gloves or any protective gear did state they could take off the security tag they left on another piece of apparel. So, FredMeyer is currently not accepting anything that leaves their store. Just a heads up for anyone that might be shopping there. I dont expect them to be accepting returns in the future either. This company needs to allow patrons to know in advance this policy when their customers shop there. Also, their clerk was sick and said she had been so sick she had fallen in her shower 2 days earlier...BUT the company wouldnt let her have time off because of demand. So....just saying...these guys arent adhering to the moto: we are all in this together. And looking at their bottom line rather than their consumers or employees.
I love this fred Meyer. But I wanted to comment on the amazing service I just received from click list. I have used it 4 times now, 3 times at their location. They were running behind and I had to wait around 38 minutes for my order, they bought me a star bucks, discounted my order, AND gave me a gift card. Truly went above and beyond. I appreciated it so much, they are truly striving for excellence. Its not always perfect... but they always make it right!
The staff at this Fred Meyer is super-super helpful. I will go out of my way to come to this Fred Meyer because I know theres always someone waiting to make sure Ive found what Im looking for - and who will help me find it if I cant. Love this FM location. Kudos for your consistently outstanding customer service!
Always clean and well merchandised
Today I really want to compliment one of the landscapers who was clearing snow around 1pm. He saw me clearing off my coworkers cars and came and asked if he could use his leaf blower to help me clear them. It was such an awesome thing to help me out and he was so sweet about it it really truly was that little act of altruism that gave me a boost for the rest of my day, thank you so much for your work and your kind heart we appreciate you so much!
Great selection of food. Very friendly workers and I can always get in and out very quickly. The produce always is fresh, and the bakery has a good selection. Their chocolate covered old fashion donuts are perhaps the best Ive found from a grocery chain.
This is my go to store for most things, especially now that they have click list online shopping. I can order everything ahead of time, schedule the pickup date and time, pull into a designated parking spot and call a number, and they bring my groceries out and load them in my car. Service is always pleasant and the have the freshest foods around.
I love that they have a special display in produce for kids. The children can pick out an apple, mandarin orange, or banana to eat while shopping.Their French bread is the best, and the stores that have the cheese deli, have just about any speciality cheeses you can think of! Oh, and samples of cheese... cant beat that!
Their Food prices are little high! Its a nice clean store & friendly employees! Nice produce!
Amazing, clean, friendly! My husband and I shop here a lot. It is a little more spends then say Walmart but it’s by far cleaner better service and way more friendly/ helpful staff. Love me some sushi to 😊
Stopped in to buy a bottle of wine and the cashier in the self checkout said my ID felt fake. He said he needed to call a manager, fine no problem. After he gets off the phone he tells me I need to wait for a manager. Really? I realize I don’t look my age (40), but are kids drinking $12 bottles of wine now a days? He acted like he had caught some master criminal. Absolutely ridiculous. If your employees do not know what a standard Idaho drivers license looks like, then they should not be left alone to work an ”express” lane. The only reason I didn’t rate 1 star is because at least your wine was $2 cheaper than Albertsons where I ended up with zero issues. Worth it!
💘 Fred Meyer. The people are the best. Always helpful and so kind. The store is clean and organized. I like it because you can do all your shopping Banking and prescriptions. And buy almost every thing.
Very very nice store. Well laid out and a great selection of specialty items. I think this one is the flagship, super nice inside.
Could not find 4 out of 6 items I went there for. But did buy 4 other items I saw while shopping. Clean store, nice crew.
Great Clean Fred Meyer. Have to search a little for some things but overall, a good shopping experience. Is a little pricey but a One Stop Shop for sure....
Of all the Fred Meyers Ive been to in Boise area, the staff seems most friendly. Like the layout of the store. There are quite a few gluten free foods here for a reasonable price.
Another great Kroger store. Displays are awesome. Wine selection is immense. Produce is mouth watering. Milk is cheap. Clean, friendly, efficient.
Extremely nice place to shop! Better products in every way possible than the big box stores. And Freddys has everything!
My favorite store! Nursery, hardware, floral, housewares, Pharmacy, grocery. Good selection of organic foods, which is very important to me. Happy and professional staff. What more could one ask?
Oh Fred Meyer. I now live in a town without you and realize how much I took you for granted. The 50% off lowest clearance price section, great produce, and ample products to choose from. Please expand to more places!!!
3 stars for Sunday, VERY CROWED ! So I just give up. But this is a good Fred Meyers. New about 5 years ago I guess. And selection is always good. Very good produce. Well, I go back tomorrow (Monday) when other folks are working.
Friendly has great help. The fresh veggies and fruit are high quality. Great clothes and shoes. Just a great store over all.
I like the Natural Foods section wish they had a better way of clean meat. The checkers are usually really pretty friendly. The deli leaves a lot to be desired theyre typically slow and kind of feel like theyre being bothered. We go into the store most of the time for all of our stuff quite often leave without getting the stuff that I need. The store seems to get more and more crowded with stuff in the aisles including items being stocked in the middle of busy times during the day., I think Im looking forward to WinCo and Costco going into the area as much as I hate to say
What a great store! Clean, organized and has everything! Im glad I had an appointment, or I would have been there all day!
This Fred Meyer is one of my two favorites in the treasure valley. They are clean, with great customer service and they seem a little higher clad them your typical Fred Myer. Dont get me wrong, its still a Fred Meyer, not the Hilton, but it seems more classy. My only complaint is the same complaint I have for all Fred Meyers; theres only one family-friendly aisle and there should be at least two.
Fred Meyer just seems so much more comfortable/cozy than similar stores. They have a great deli, a great selection of produce, and they even have Kombucha, which I was surprised to run into. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. Other customers always seem to be a bit rushed, though. Even better, this place is right next to my office, so I can come to the deli if I forget to bring lunch any day.
I ordered crab from James in the Seafood dept...He was extremely helpful and understanding of a past problem I had had..He solved the problem with no questions asked.! Who does that!! Cheers James...Give this guy a raise!!!
I like that they treat everyone so well. We live right down the street, so we get to know some of the staff. Even though we arent familiar with most of them, they all do an outstanding job of keeping the experience at FM pleasant.
We love shoppingat Freddys. Great selection and fair prices. Wide variety. Better than similar grocery and dry good stores. Rewards program and fuel also
Priced offered at the register high than posted sale priced not requiring a Fred Meyer card. Has occurred multiple times.
Nice selection of clothing. Good parking, fast service. Produce always looks amazing. Beautiful nursery plants too.
Day 2 still waiting on Daughter’s Meds, short staffed pharmacy Again . And they need to re-train techs because they are clearly lost., long lines, Drive thru closed . Fred Meyer’s obviously doesn’t care. So Sad ..
Clothing never in the style or size I need. Great products but everything is way too expensive. Lower prices advertisement is false. Prices always go up. Wal-Mart will have most things for much cheaper!
I like this store. Nice variety. Very clean. The deli has a huge selection! I enjoy shopping here.
Personally a great place to get some good stuff. Good selection of food and drink and clothing isn’t half bad either. Don’t go there at 11:00am on a school day though, thats when all the high school students (me being one) go there and it gets busy, just wait till 11:30 then you’ll be set. I do prefer this specific location over the other fred meyers in the area. Highly recommend this location
Never more than one cashier in the morning. Waited for 15 minutes in line this morning and it’s like this everyday.
Why they put carts in closed register isles, I dont know, but its annoying. Albertsons doesnt do that. But this Fred Meyer has a staffed, toddler-playroom, are you kidding me! Love it!
What has happened to our Fred Meyer....so many items not available anymore !! Today...cant even buy Grqss Fed Hamburger now !!What is going on???No Organic Blueberries....Pineapple in the containers is nearly rotten.....Ugh!!!Forcing customers to shop elsewhere....shelves empty on certain items....Very Frustrating.....Have shopped here the past 6 years....but going downhill quickly... 🤷♀️🤷♀️
I am a new Fred Meyer customer. I have to say I have switched to Fred Meyer for groceries, fuel, and banking...Im impressed. In store at least 3 times a week
As usual Fred Meyers personnel were great, things are easy to find and priced reasonably. I always have a good feeling from my visit with different personnel at the store.
Good ol Freddies!
Busy being Labor Day weekend. Store clean. Some good deals on groceries and goods. Friendly workers. Quick check out.
Twice I asked for assistance and twice was graciously assisted. Thank you. Super clean store.
Fred Meyer is a great store. There prices are often less than Walmart, and the people who shop there are normal. lol. I really love this particular store at 5 Mile and Overland. Great staff, great store.
Store is always clean with a very good selection of produce. I love their deli!!!
This store may be several years old but it sure looks like its brand new beautiful store here in Meridian Fred Meyer is my favorite
We love Fred Meyer stores and so far this one is no exception. They have most everything including friendly and courteous service.
We love the discounted gas. They have competitive rates, and with the additional discounts for shopping at Fred Meyers we fill all three cars at the same time and save about about $15 each fill.
This is a really nice store. It is a super store. They sell groceries, clothing, jewelry, hardware, automotive, household goids, furniture, gardening and more!
