JR is the real deal. Pro player turned guitar shop owner with the knowledge and expertise youll never find at other places. He did a basic setup on my Godin and got it playing from good to great. Extremely knowledgeable. He eats, sleeps and breathes guitars. You need to go here!

By far the most friendly, Hands-On, genuine customer service. The store owner is super knowledgeable, shared many incredible stories and hooked me up with a sweet Telecaster, amp, pedals and all the necessary equipment. Highly recommended!!!

This place is absolutely amazing. I bought an acoustic and broke a string a few weeks later so I went back in for help and the owner of the shop helped AND taught me how to replace them. He is always so intentional with who he is helping. This place has blessed me so much already. I highly recommend

On 4/20/21 at 11:30, I visited this shop. I had previously visited five times in the past year. I had an old Gene Autry cowboy guitar repaired there and I purchased an acoustic Guild at this shop. I have also purchased strings at this shop. I like to support local businesses. My prior visits were pleasant enough.This visit was the exact opposite. I arrived to see what inventory they had. I was looking for a second electric guitar with a thicker neck profile and humbuckers. I have arthritis and I need a thicker neck. I didnt recognize the individual behind the counter. A customer was strumming on a guitar in the middle of the floor. The individual behind the counter asked me what I was looking for. He was handling something and never looked up or made eye contact or attempted to greet me. His demeanor was terrible. I told him I was looking for a guitar with a thicker neck and humbuckers. I told him I was interested in an Epiphone Wilshire type guitar. I was about to explain that it has a thicker neck profile and ask if he had any similar style of guitar. Before I could complete my sentence, he cut me off and stated that he doesnt like Epiphone. I explained that I had purchased a Guild from the shop. I was thinking he would be more interested in helping me but his attitude remained less than friendly! I walk around and looked at some of the guitars. They actually and an Epiphone on display. He never asked me another question or made any suggestions or recommendations.You can be a great guitarist. You can be a great luthier. That doesnt mean you have any customer service skills. I had cash and was ready to buy but I walked out. Its regrettable that this individual is behind the counter. I wonder how many other potential customers he has turned off?I guess Ill drive further to GC or order online.

Amazing shop owned by a very knowledgeable and honest guy. Im a beginner and brought my used guitar in to have JR take a look at it. JR immediately diagnosed some problems and fixed it up for me while telling a story about playing with the Allman brothers in Switzerland. Youd be hard pressed to find a better place to take your guitar.

A very good place to purchase your next guitar. JR was very helpful and very knowledgeable. He made me a very fair deal on a very lightly used Gibson in trade for an unwanted Epiphone I wanted to upgrade. Not a big box store, but much better. I would definitely go back. A new review; just bought a second guitar from JR, a new Guild OM-120. He made me a deal I just couldnt refuse. It looks and sounds amazing! Thank you, JR! Ill be back!

I just started learning the guitar a week ago. I found out pretty quick I needed a better strap, tuner, and a capo. I didnt catch the mans name, but he was very friendly and helpful. He also gave me a few pointers and suggestions for future guitar upgrades when I grow out of my Squire Strat. This man has a passion for his work and his business, that much is clear. I will certainly return here when I need more guitar stuff.

JR. sold me my first Epiphone guitar when I was 14 when he owned Sunset Music, and its still in absolute beautiful condition. Since I was a kid I dreamed of owning my own Guild Acoustic Guitar, and JR was able to hook me up with an incredible find. Because of his shop I will never order a guitar online. The amount of intelligence and wisdom he has with music is worth its weight in gold. He and his employees have some of the best customer service Ive experienced and they actually care about the hands the guitars are going to. JRs shop Eagle Guitar will always be highly recommended to go to. Even if youre just looking, they know how to fit the right guitar to you.

I always wanted To know what they had and I was looking to buy a guitar, possibly right then. So I finally made my way into the door and I was not welcomed or even acknowledged. There was just a guy and a teenager playing electric guitars. I looked at a few guitars and even strummed one a few times but I didn’t like the feeling and no one ever said a word to me, so I walked out and drove away.

Eagle guitars claims to produce high end guitars made from wild eagles local to the treasure valley. I find these claims to be false based on the performance of my most recent purchase from this establishment. After testing I can conclude that the carcasses used to press the body of this guitar were not fresh. These eagles were at least one week old and not properly cured. These were also NOT WILD EAGLES. At least some of the species used were farmed. The false advertising of this company has directly effected the breeding cycles of my eagles due to the innacurate resonance patterns the guitar is emitting. I also believe crows milk is being used in the clear coat and this is a wonderful idea.

The owner, JR is one really nice guy and a fantastic guitar player himself! I have bought a few items myself and recently sent in my Sister-in-Law to pick up a nice Jr Acoustic for her Son. Great guitar, excellent price. If your expecting Guitar Center, you will disappointed.....

The owner is a master of his craft. I had my old guitar restringed, had a new nut hand cut and installed with a few other improvements. The guitar is a beauty again and would highly recommend this shop if you want a high quality repair.

Best custom shop in Ada County. This guy really knows his stuff. Just throw a name out there - Eddie Van Halen, Gregg Allman, Carlos Santana... he’s either played with them or he sold stuff to them. JR is a guitar treasure that this area is lucky to have.
