It was the worst decision EVER to order my kids costumes Party City! I normally get my kids costumes from Walmart but I ordered from this Party City because they had all the costumes in stock that I needed. I did curbside and when I arrived I checked in as instructed but I was left sitting outside for almost 10 minutes. I finally decided to call the store for them to bring out my order. When I checked the costumes something told me to actually open the items and check them because the costumes had already been opened but I decided not to. I got all the way (30 minutes away) just to realize both costumes were missing pieces. The following day I had to drive back to Merriam to replace the items. Next time I’ll stick to Walmart.

Picked up a balloon order at 11am on a Sunday morning. The store was already extremely busy and you could tell the two employees were overwhelmed. However, both were friendly and doing the best they could given the circumstances. As far as my order, it was ready to go when I arrived and arranged beautifully.

Bigger store and more balloon selection & party essentials than in the past. Prices are a little high, but about what youd expect these days. If you wait to order online and end up here like I did its just a littler pricier for convenience 😏 but friendly staff that are helpful make it worth it.

Joey went above and beyond helping me find champagne flutes. Their website said they had some and even though we couldn’t find any on the shelves, he went through boxes in the back and climbing ladders to go through more, PLUS had grabbed other employees to help go through boxes to save me time.Thank you SO much Joey!!! I wish employees everywhere were more like you!!

Hadnt been to Party City in a long time. It had changed quite a bit, but the staff were very nice and quick to help get you in your way.

Wow if you need balloons this is your store. They make the shopping easy. All the inventory is displayed and every color and popular character is at your fingertips. Lots of choices.

Store is nicely stocked. Staff was friendly. Young woman behind the balloon counter was especially helpful.

Why are you a store? You do online orders and deliver for free but cannot take walk-ins for balloons. Maybe they can close the store then and make you another internet warehouse

Staff could have been a little bit more knowledgeable and helpful but other than that,it was a good experience.

If you can’t take 20 seconds away to air up 2 small balloons for 4 hours. Maybe you need to rethink how your system works. Glad I found a place that not only takes orders, but someone for walk-ins also. Won’t be going back.

Too expensive for the quality of cards, wrapping paper, stuff that is thrown out! The store is full of paper trinkets. A few of papermache small 3 inch wide pumpkins are $10.00!

Very busy when I was at Party City but the sales person found time to help.

If you need any type of party supplies, I swear Party City has everything you might need.

Didnt have much for gender reveal parties on the shelf. Really should focus on stocking shelves more

WAS NOT FUNNY AT THE TIME THOUGH,BUT IT IS NOW, BUT PARTY CITY REPLACED IT WITH NO PROBLEM,THEN WHEN GETTING THE BALLOONS HOME,ACCIDENTALLY POKED A HOLE IN THE 7,CALL THEM, AND WITHOUT A FUSS AGAIN, PARTY CITY REPLACED THE 7 WITH NO FUSS ... THATS ONE REASON OUT OF A THOUSAND,OR MORE IS WHY I LOVE PARTY 🎉 ♥️🎈🎂🎈🎈⭐️💥🌟🎉🎊🎉🎊🎈🎉🎊CITY!!!!

I am Theme Queen!!!! I love theme parties, birthdays, holidays, costumes, and I will search multiple retailers and online to find items to make our events special. I always make Party City one of my shopping spots because I can usually find what I’m looking for at their stores. Milestone birthdays are usually easy to find. There’s a whole isle of paper products by color. There’s new home decor out every holiday which is my favorite to browse. I go here for birthday candles to get a little more variety of choices different sizes and colors. Balloons choices are always the best here. Ordering to have balloons ready for pickup helps keep a busy party planning mom on schedule. It’s a great option. Thanks Party City!

I purchased (8) latex balloons and (1) Mylar balloon on 6/28/20 and (1) of the (8) latex balloons popped as soon as I got to the car and less than 24hrs later the remaining (7) latex balloons are all on the floor. Never will I purchase from this store again, I waisted $16.xx (including a balloon weight). What a way to celebrate my daughter’s 19th birthday on 6/29/20. Not sure what kind of helium tank you all use but it is trash.... my balloons should not be on the floor!!

This store not as good as others

I won’t be shopping here ever again. The first time I go into this location I needed some table cloths and decorations for my baby shower. I check out and the girl helping me isn’t scanning the items individually, and I didn’t think it would be an issue.I go to return my extra item I didn’t use and I got accused of shop lifting because it was rang up weird. I wasn’t in the mood to argue over 13$ while other people were watching.

You would think a party store would have their act together the week before Halloween but...no. I ordered a costume online, opting for in store pickup. My credit card was charged, pending. Their website claims your order will be ready in two hours. Six hours later I called to see if my order was ready and, after being on hold for 15 minutes, was told my order would be ready in an hour. Went an hour later and after waiting another 15 minutes was told my items were not available. Now I have to pay expedited shipping from another site to get what I want. Cmon Party City...Halloween is your Super Bowl! Get it together!

Store looks so much better than the last time is in and frontline team members were super helpful today. Good luck with the remodel! We are all looking forward to upgrades to the store.

The store was going through construction when I was there mid-March 2020. I don’t know how long it’ll take to get done. They have a ton of options for all party needs. I was shopping for my moms 50th surprise birthday party, and they didn’t have too many decorations for 50 year olds. I ended up just getting balloons.

Only had one cashier at the time I was in the store, and they were doing balloons too. Also, didnt have Minecraft themed party decor - which was why I went there to begin with. Store was clean and cashier was very courteous.

Staff very attentive to customers needs...store very clean and organized with many choices of every product...wait time for checking out, getting 4 balloons blown up and picking up my online or was 10 min or less and I was out of the store!....LOVE THIS LOCATION!

I just went with my sister to get a gag gift. They are a great store. But.. They should explain to customers that a weight for balloons is 1 dollar and apparently 1 dollar to wrap them up. I saw, aceomsn then struggle with her balloons as this was explained after purchase.

I love Party City, but when I came in tonight, they did not have anything for graduations yet.

They had just what I was looking for after running around to several places who did not. Lots of selection for a girl’s birthday party. The cashier was very friendly. She smiled and seemed happy. I demoted a star because the place was a mess. The whole back of the store was lined with boxes that made it hard to get through and the associates unpacking them could seem to care less when they saw people trying to get around them to go to the next isle.

I feel they are super over priced. Fun stuff but expensive. They do a good job keeping it organized even through the setting up of Halloween.

I went into party city at 5808 Antioch Rd, Merriam KS, 66202 to return a scarf I bought the day before St Paddy’s day, I did not end up wearing the scarf and it still had its tags and everything still attached. I had not come sooner because I do not live close and had not had a sooner opportunity. However it had only been 2 weeks so I assumed there would be no issue. It was a buy online pick up in store order and I had my receipt. The girls at the register were rude and dismissed the idea of me returning the scarf because ‘the st Paddy’s stuff was already packed up in boxes’ but said they would ask their manager. When the girl comes back she told me that the manager said no they weren’t accepting st Paddy’s day returns. I asked if this as a company policy, as I was never informed upon buying the item that I wouldn’t be allowed to return it after the holiday had passed and she told me yes it’s a company policy. Quite frankly I’m disgusted by how the situation was handled especially considering like I said I was never told that you can’t return holiday items before the holiday or I would have returned it the day I received it which was the day before st Paddy’s day. I feel like if this is a true company policy like I was told, party city should at least have it listed somewhere online and/or inform customers when they purchase such items. Also, the individuals at this store, most especially the manager are very unaccomadating and I’m extremely disappointed in the poor customer service. I couldn’t return something I bought two weeks ago that I hadn’t opened or used and had a receipt for, all because the manager was too lazy because they had packed it away already? At this point it isn’t even about getting the money back because I clearly won’t, it was a small amount of money, but the point is that they acted that way over such a small amount of money over laziness and I honestly after that wouldn’t recommend spending your money here and benefiting any of them if they’re going to treat customers so disgustingly over pure laziness.And I did contact the company and let them know because I don’t appreciate being treated that way and I don’t think anyone should. And I also let them know if this is going to be their policy on holiday items that they should train employees to inform customers at point of purchase.

Love this place! It has almost everyone you need for holiday parties or special events. I come to buy my cake boxes, piping bags, and icing tips, etc.

This was my first time coming here and it was not a very good experience. I was looking for plain pink party hats and I was unable to locate any. When I tried to find an associate I was rudely told off. I decided to look around a little bit longer since I was already there and I found an item I wanted to purchase as a treat for my niece. When I went to the check-out it rang up $4 more than it was marked, I explained to them that there was a pile marked $1.99 and was rudely told that they were in the wrong place. I explained that since that was an error in their part that the price should be honored. I had to have 2 managers come up to finally have a price over-ride. The cashier was super nice but the managers and the associate who checked the price of the item were extremely rude. I do not feel I deserved that treatment, when I come into a store I expect things to be in their proper place so I can basically grab and go. It is not my job to make sure prices match up with their products displayed. I find this place to be highly unprofessional and I do not plan to return. I would rather go to Wal-Mart.

This is where I go for all of my holiday headgear. You should definitely find something that youll like.

Best place to get all kinds of party favors and balloons.

They almost had everything that I was looking for... but they had a lot of nice things.

The guy who did my balloons cut the ribbon to short and didnt tie it tight enough so when I walked out 2 of my balloons flew off. I went back in and told the next cashier and she just looked at me so I bought 2 packages and this person had the gaul to charge me for helium again, I said forget it Ill just blow them up myself, she said well there not going to stay up.

Good selection, but never have enough people working. Check-out lines can easily be 15 minutes.

I hate coming to this party city. Worst customer service ever. I seriously waited 15+ min for a pinata. I spoke to the lady up front and asked someone to help. She called someone and no one came. The lady I asked for help. Saw me there standing for 15+ min and did not even ask to see if I was attended to yet. Will never come back here.

Very disappointed I came up there to get store credit because I didnt have a receipt. Because one of the workers did not put it in my bag..I bought a lot of stuff for my daughters birthday party! and because their store has been getting robbed they told me that they would not give me store credit without my receipt.. now they could have told their workers to always remember to put the receipt in the customers bag for 1 and 2 without the receipt remind them that they cannot do exchange or store credit!! I would not have given them a one-star but they told me I had to rate before I posted this haha what a joke

This store could sell a lot of helimum balloon$. But the management arent savvy enough in business to capitalize on the opportunity. Missed $$$🤔

Party city can be a bit pricey but they literally have everything you need for decorations and having a nice presentation for a party. Staff is always very nice and helpful

The cashier tried to overcharge my daughter on balloons. My daughter pointed out the price on the balloons and she said that it was ringing up two dollars more. My daughter declined the purchase. I got back into the line and pointed out the price that was labeled on their balloons on their wall. She then said she would discount them. Im not sure how she was offering us a discount when it was their price.

Tried to buy welcome home balloons for a special occasion and was told they couldnt do it because they were out of helium. Something about a helium shortashortage. Very disappointed.

Unhelpful staff. What I needed was out of stock and unopened boxes of new stock were sitting this aisle. Staff refused to check if what I needed was waiting to be shelved. Staff made it clear my question was interrupting their conversation gossiping about a third staff member.They referred me to another Party City 15 miles away that also didnt have what I needed. After the hassle I ordered what I needed from Amazon. Doing that in the first place would have saved me time.

I would spend your money at the Overland Park store or a different party store. This store has rude employees you can never find anyone to help you and when I have found someone to help me they always act like its a big problem to help me and they always just point you in the direction I have only been there a few times when someone has walked through the store with me to help me find something and took there time with me till I got what I needed or somewhere close to what I needed.
