Well today at 1230 while stuck in complete traffic in the Bronx thr lovely driver older white gentleman tried to cut me off. When he failed he flipped me off and tried to run into my car. I’m not sure if he’s a worker or the owner but either way he is a hazard to the road and should not be allowed to drive with that kind of road rage and total disregard to others while on the road. I was traveling with my two young children ages 3 and 7 take this man off the road ASAP he was also traveling with a woman in the passenger seat edit ; not a woman. It was a younger man with glasses

I was in a car accident and my car was towed to R&U Auto Body. Nick came over and handed me his business card. From that point on, whenever I called about adjusters coming to look at my car or any other question I had he took time out of his day to help me. He tried to find a comparable car to mine to use for a better settlement for me. He went online and compared the value the insurance company said my car was worth to see if it was the correct amount. He didnt charge me for my car being on his lot for longer than the insurance company was willing to pay for. I have never met a more helpful stranger in my life. I ever got pizza when I went to empty my car out. Definitely a business anyone would want to use!

The front end damage on my car looked pretty bad and I was worried that the paint match might not be perfect as the car, a Toyota Corolla, is 7 years old. My lease was up in a few weeks and my car had damage that needed to be fixed. I don’t usually right reviews but for this company I was compelled to share my great experience. On 1/2/20 I brought my 2013 Honda Accord into R&U after reading their amazing reviews online. I had backed my car into a shopping cart and the passenger bumper had received a few scratches. Mike who greeted me at the front desk was the perfect example of excellent customer service. He was courteous and swift to assist me. He explained that he would be able to take out most of the damage and they did just that. I didn’t even wait for 15 minutes when I was called to look at the work they done. My car looked as if nothing had touch it! I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency of their work. It is very rare to find any business that offers excellent customer service in addition to quality work. However, R&U Auto Body does it perfectly. After I left the shop I immediately recommended them to a friend who had recently been in an accident and was shopping around for an auto repair shop. After visiting them she was pleased with the service she received. I was in my first ever accident when a car t-boned me. I called a family member for guidance and they said I must call the guys at R&U. I did so and within 15 minutes, despite being late Sunday night, they had a truck there to tow my car. The next morning when I went in to do the paperwork I was greeted by Nick who was exceptionally friendly, personable, and helpful. He guided me through the paperwork very quickly and calmed my nerves about the whole process and reassured me he would help me through everything and help deal with my insurance company. Before I knew it he handed me the keys to one of his rentals and I was back on the road and at ease knowing Nick and the guys were on my side in getting this sorted out. Cant emphasize enough the lowering of my stress levels after visiting the shop. Unfortunately my car was deemed a total loss but Nick asked me to show him the insurance payout on the vehicle before I accept any settlement. I gladly did so and after Nicks review of the figure that he deemed low based on his inspection of my car, he helped me fight for an additional $760 that I got from my insurance company that was more in line with my cars actual value at the time of accident. Upon returning the rental Nick continued to offer good advice and insights regarding insurance, coverage, and auto knowledge from his years in the industry. He gave me a more than fair price for the rental for time I had it outside what was covered by my insurance company. Nick, Ronnie, and all the guys thanks again for everything. You have a customer for life.

I highly recommend Nick at R&U Auto Body in Merrick - very nice guy and a pleasure to do business with. The chrome center on the steering wheel of my Ford Focus was peeling and sharp edges were sticking up, cutting my fingers (common problem on that model). Nick ordered a wrap and installed it, without having to remove the airbag, which would have been very costly. Thank you!

Yesterday on May 29th, these nice gentlemen came to my rescue on Sunrise Hwy. I was having engine trouble and my car stalled. Nick of R U auto is probably the kindest and most patient body shop owner I have ever met on all of long island. I was in a bind because of a company that smashed my parked car and stalled on payment for over a week, saying they didnt want to go through insurance. Nick not only checked in with me every day, he made sure to get actual factory parts to repair my bumper and my door. Nick and his team made sure my car stayed safe and sound in their garage, for at least 5 days over what should have been its intended stay. They even gave my entire car a beautiful cleaning when the company at fault finally came to pay the bill, saying that since my car had been sitting in the garage for a week they wanted to get out any dust that had settled.In my life I have always struggled to find an honest auto shop, to find someone who never once got upset that he had to watch a fixed car far longer than he should have, who knew how to help me handle the person at fault, who talked to me like a human being.You can barely tell anything happend in the first place. Going to a mechanic is kind of like a trip to the dentist; its a necessary evil that we must all deal with. But once in a while, you find one that changes your opinion on the entire industry. My X5 was hit at work (Upper East Side of Manhattan) and leaking fluids, the guys at R&U sent a tow to pick it up and dropped off a rental at the same time so I could get back home. They took such good care of me and my vehicle throughout the entire process, explaining everything with great attention to detail, and returned it looking and running like it just rolled off the line. We had a wonderful experience at R & U Auto Body! We had our 2006 car detailed and spruced up. Hood was repainted and blended beautifully as well as some wear and tear fix up repairs. All four rims were redone, sanblatsted and purchased new tires as well. When I say the car looks Brand New, I’m not even joking! Nick and his crew did a spectacular job and were such a pleasure to do business with! I highly recommend them!

A Lady T-boned my car that was in immaculate shape. Nick @ R&U Auto Body went above and beyond the second I walked through the door, offering refreshments and pizza. More importantly he haggled with the insurance making sure I got 100% of the cars value when they were only offering 70%. He put me in a rental rite away and with in 30 min I was home. He even paid the rental security deposit for me since I was Low on funds. I will never bring a car anywhere else. R & U Auto Body treated me very well, contacting my insurance company and arranging for a rental car thus expediting the process of getting my insurance approval for the car rental while my car was being repaired. Nick, who mans the office was in contact with me as to the progress in repairing my car & making sure that I had it back in time for a family function. I would definitely use them again!

Great place friendly staff Ronnie and Nick treated me like i was VIP the whole time. Had my challenger hood converted from regular to shaker R U got me a great deal on prices and painting it. Highly recommend these guys for anything car related and while car was a minor job i still got treated as if spent millions, Ronnie and crew are A people and my car looks amazing!!!!!!!!

Nick and the staff at R & U made me feel extremely comfortable. They answered all my questions and kept me up to date on the progress. When I picked up my car it looked brand new! They went out of their way to fix old scratches and clean the inside as well. Highly recommended!

Had a motorcycle accident early this summer. My bike wound up being totaled but I worked with Nick and he was a great help. I had never dealt with anything like this before. Nick helped me through every step and never rushed any part of the process.

Workers here as some excellent workers left my car here over for a couple of days to fix my bumper. Work was done like professionals couldnt have been done better looked just like I just bought it. Certainly a place Id recommend it you need to body work done.

My dad has been a customer of R&U for 15+ years, ever since i have had a car he has told me to always bring it to r&u. the staff is so friendly and caring, plus the work done on the car is always terrific ..r&u will go out of their way for you. i recently got in an accident i called the shop and nick answered the phone, before even asking about the car he made sure I was ok, he sent someone to pick me up and tow my car, they were there within 5 minutes, at r&u nick helped me put my first claim in to the insurance which was very simple and quick, plus he got me a rental car for the time my car was in the shop. when i got my car back it looked better then it did before the accident, it was waxed and fully detailed inside and out, nick told me come back in 3 weeks for free they will detail it again. anybody looking for a body shop i would definitely recommend them !

They couldnt have been nicer. So honest and friendly. I had a minor problem with my car... easy fix... the plastic shield underneath the front of the car came off and was hanging. They fixed it for me for free! They have definitely earned my business for any future problems.

I cant say enough about the excellent professional job they did on my 2015 Forrester. It was at the end of the lease and they made the car look like brand new! I kept the car instead of turning it in. I recommend them to anyone who has to have body work. They made the experience painless and took care of getting me a rental car. Very professional group! I was involved in an accident and I took my new 2016 Mercedes to R & U and I cant say enough wonderful words to describe how they treated me and my car. From the beginning until my car was done, I was greeted by the kindest, caring and most sincere gentlemen. I was helped with everything from car rental, insurance company claims as well as being kept informed every step of the process. I picked up my car and it was better than the day I picked it up from the dealer! I will NEVER go anywhere else!

Dealt with Nick the whole time after I was rear ended. Extremely helpful and got me into a better rental car then I needed. Went out of his way to make sure that our needs were satisfied. Only issue was amount of time they had the car but that wasnt their fault, insurance took forever to get to them.
