Integral Ballet is a great school. My daughters have had classes with at least five teachers, and each of them have been wonderful. Their interaction with the students is perfect, and I feel very comfortable with all of them. Im really happy with the studios focus, and Im grateful we chose Integral Ballet.
My daughter has danced with Integral ballet for almost 10 years now. Before deciding on Integral, I researched many of the area dance studios and loved what I found in Erin Drennan, Integrals artistic director. She has the perfect balance of creativity, professionalism, teaching smarts and business savvy. She has the innate ability to connect with her students on so many levels: as her student’s teacher, as an accomplished ballerina and experienced choreographer, and as a cool role model for the girls. I have always found Erin to be respectful of all who walk through her doors and deeply dedicated to teaching her students the art of dance. Through all of her productions, company and corps, she strikes a good balance in giving dancers who work hard many opportunities on stage equally and fairly. She works very hard to develop her students skill, encourages her students to reach beyond their comfort zone. and expects the appropriate level of commitment, maturity and discipline from all her students. Her policies and procedures are fair, well thought out and clearly communicated. I couldn’t have made a better choice for my daughter’s dance education. Thanks to Erin for being exactly what her young students need: a model of commitment, discipline and passion for her students to emulate.I have, in the past, and will continue to highly recommend Integral ballet as the dance studio of choice for neighborhood dancers and beyond.
Our daughter attended Integral Ballet School for several years when she was very young. The strong foundation she received under Ms. Erin not only helped her learn the building blocks of movement, but in a safe and healthy way. Other parents and I often observed the classes in progress and found the instructors direction and attitude to be nurturing and supportive, while maintaining focus on working towards results. Five years later, she is still in dance and still loves it. I attribute this largely to the excellence of Integral Ballet School. I would not hesitate to encourage parents to contact the schools Director and inquire about observing a class or having their child try a class.
Absolutely worst experience- skip it. Forced a ridiculous “contract” for a child’s ballet instruction, mis represented quality of teaching talent (the only class we took was taught by a child younger and less skilled than my daughter)- we left after one class- at cost of over $200 because we signed a “contract”- claims not-for-profit status and could not refund because of “board rules”- just a complete waste. These are commercially oriented people dressed in NFP package. If you want a quality experience for your child, go somewhere else.
My daughter has been a student at Integral Ballet for five years. Her experiences here have not only taught her how to be an excellent dancer but also a more graceful, driven and persistent person in other aspects of her life. I would highly recommend the studio to other dancers.
Integral Ballet is an inclusive ballet school with an emphasis on technique as well as other important aspects of ballet and dance. Whether your child is just starting out or wants to get serious about dancing, this school is the perfect choice. My daughter danced at 4 other schools prior to Integral and this was a welcome change. In traffic, the ride can take us a half hour but it’s well worth it. A lot of LI ballet/dance schools spend more than half of the curriculum memorizing a 2 1/2 minute routine for a recital. Although, Integral has a recital (as well as a winter and spring show), the students aren’t just learning choreography they are studying and practicing ballet. Miss Erin, the school director is extremely knowledgeable with an extensive (and impressive) background in ballet.
Kept asking for copies of our signed agreement after being charged $588 never received them. Asked multiple times. The teacher Miss Erin in my opinion is just not a nice person. My daughter is very happy to be out of this school.Edit for the response: we never actually disputed the charges with our credit card company. It seemed to me by your email since you only discussed fees and never asked why a student of yours quit which just showed your absolute non caring of your students in my opinion just the money was what you cared about We just wanted nothing to do with this school as did my six year old. Its amazing how preceptive kids can be of people.. I believe the words you used were the whims of a child. Also for others you can check the Yelp reviews which has others discussing the overall attitude of the owner of this studio.
My daughter has been studying ballet at Integral for the past 5 years. Ms. Erin has forstered a nurturing and supportive learning environment. My daughter has not only grown as a dancer but has learned to be a responsible, disciplined and kind person. Ms. Erin encourages team work and because of this my daughter has developed strong friendships. I cant say enough good things about Ms.Erin and the programs offered at Integral Ballet Studio!!!
Integral Ballet is a wonderful classical ballet studio. My daughter learned more in her first ballet class than she had in two years at two other studios. Six years later, I am proud of every production the studio has given. The level of energy, strength and comraderie is above and beyond your “local” production.Miss Erin is a strong, caring teacher, choreographer, producer and owner. She’s amazing with the kids and the kids all step up their game. It’s been an incredible journey to watch not only my daughter, but all the dancers grow with the studio. Seeing the girls we met at 6 years old grow into beautiful ballerinas on pointe is amazing. The students form a bond; they are very close and as they get older I watch them student teach the newer, littlest ballet dancers. These student teachers not only learn how to dance but they also learn how to instill a love for Ballet in these little girls. My daughter has learned the following skills that I see her apply to her life daily:• Dedication• Commitment• Practice• When You Fall Down, You Get Back Up• We Grow from Our Mistakes• Teamwork• Hard Work• Respect, both in giving it and receiving it• Fundamental Core Work - you need to strengthen the core of your life to make everything work• Having a Passion & Love for Ballet and Life where you can have Fun when you love something so much• Confidence• Improved Self-Esteem which, to me as a mom, is one of the strongest character traits we can teach our children in life.I’ve seen all this and more in my daughter and all of the dancers here at Integral Ballet. It’s a discipline she loves and grows through and I have Miss Erin and the studio to thank for it.
Love this studio!
