Were just visiting from Seattle and were on our way to Kentucky and stopped here for two very important things, coffee and Tylenol. :)Getting distracted by everything that all Targets do to me, this trip was no different. We browsed around and got swim trunks, beach shoes, travel toothbrushes, and of course the very much needed Tylenol.The staff was pretty chill and friendly.It was a out 50/50 regarding people wearing masks so if thats important to you, you might be kinda out of luck, but they do offer free masks to people who shop there.The store was clean. The people were friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the girlfriend found what she wanted. :)

Staff here is great, store is clean, layout and organization could be slightly better. Vincent was a great help when choosing between some products!

Not sure what you do in your stores but, the lighting and the ambiance is very relaxing. The staff was friendly, and helpful. The staff was constantly sanitizing the shopping carts. Great choice of products. Will recommend.

We bought 2 cell phones, waited an hour for the lone tech to return from lunch (4:30pm) to activate them. When it was finally our turn, @6pm, we were told she had to leave for her 2nd job. We, along w/2 other customers in line behind us, had waited 3 HOURS, only to be told she couldnt do anything for us! No-one else had been scheduled after her! Unacceptable! Well never shop Target again!

MY REASONS FOR GIVING THIS TARGET 5 STARS ARE FOR PRODUCT QUALITY AND THE LOW PRICES! THE TARGET IN LAKE COUNTY, IN MY OPINION IS THE BEST!! FRIENDLY WORKERS, SHORT LINES, MERCHANDISE I WANT TO BUY IS ALWAYS IN STOCK....YOU COULDNT ASK FOR ANYTHING BETTER!!STAY THE SAME!!

Not too bad. They usually have what I want. I have no idea about the customer service because I hate talking to people so if I dont know where something is Ill go online and see what aisle its in.

Very unhelpful and frustrating. The phone at customer service rang for 5 minutes with no answer...after the 3 minutes of prerecorded message before you can even get to a department menu. Very unhelpful with pickup order and did not offer any solutions or help. I will not use this store again.

The Merrillville store is terrible. Customer service is nonexistent INSIDE the store. The DRIVE UP service has been amazing, but the horrendous experience inside caused this 1 star review. Employees are not helpful at all, the store is lacking merchandise in a big way and the employees are too busy chatting to even say hello at the register! Only St. John or Bradley from now on.

This targat is on target for targat of the yeer.The casheer in registar 3 on Wensdays all ways flerts with me or I like to pretand she does. Shes my girl fiend. Were getting marryed. Were gonna have 4 babys togethar. The slushy mashene is good and star bucks is piping hot.I like the freezar secton in the summer becase I can open it and have cold artic air blowwing on my hot swety bootay.Targat ice creem with the donuts in it tasts good to and the janitar is gonna be my best man.

I shopped at night. I was apprehensive about walking out to my car and a really thoughtful employee offered to assist me. He was so nice. He walked me out to my car and I really appreciated him. I didnt get his name but I hope he sees this. Thank you.

Cashiers spend more time chatting than ringing up items. Floor personnel are hard to find. No wonder this location feels like a ghost town.

I looked at another stores site down the road from this target store and their site was not up to date. The site let me place the order, they withheld $4.95 in my account. Within 5 minutes they put the money back and they called me and told me they couldnt fill the order. Im through with that store, it was the second time they did me the exact same way.

Target is one of my favorite stores. I love their prices and product connection. I always find unique items that I never knew that they had. It is a great place to shop.

Had an issue with pricing on an item. Zach & Paul (managers) were an incredible help! I approached them with the question I had and they were both so friendly and professional. Explained the issue and without any issue they fixed the problem for us. Can’t say enough nice things about these guys. The retail world needs more professionals like this! Bravo!

Convienient and excellent time to get order ready

I was in the customer service line, 7 people in front of me with returns. One person behind the counter, handling the returns. A young man, employee of Target, came up to me and asked if I was waiting to pick up an order, which I was. He took me out of line, got my order, and checked me out. Such a kind gesture. I sure appreciated that!!

Ordered a gift online, I was notified a few hours later when it was ready. I stopped to pick it up and the young man who retrieved my order was very professional and had a sweet personality. It was a pleasure doing business with him and Target.

Its not as nice as St. John. Not a fan of the area anyway. Too shabby. Watch it when you choose your items. An item I bought did not ring up what was marked on the shelf. We only stopped at this location because we were in the area.

I wanted a tv deal on black Friday and when i showed up they were sold out and i was told to order one from my phone by a target employee working the tv tech area, I explained i wasnt tech savvy and she offered to help me order one on my phone so we made my online order and i drover to the other target location to get my TV deal all thanks to the great staff at this great store, the area the store is in is a little bad but thats not targets fault

The customer service of the sales associate and the manager was absolutely great 👍. They was patient and understanding .

I love targets quality, sales, clean, the cashier/front end supervisor takes care of any price discrepancies at the checkout lines go make the lines go quicker than most other places.

Many shelves are empty when I go here. They are always out of things because they never restock. Im usually in there at about 9-10am so there is no way its been sold out, they just never stock anything there. I only go when I need something because its close to work.

Do not go to the Starbucks there. They got my drink wrong twice, and refused to remake after it. I payed $6.00 for a drink that I was NOT satisfied with. Strongly recommend never going here.

Calling cooperate right now! I will go 30 minutes out of my way to Valpo or Highland from now on! Merrillville store has turned into trash!

Shopping at target is like stepping into another world versus the competition

As with everyone else we are trying to limit our public exposure. I dropped my Granddaughter off Saturday morning about 8:30 am to do an online order exchange. The item she needed was in stock so she grabbed it and took it to the service desk. After waiting for someone to wait on her, she was told they werent doing exchanges today, shed have to come back tomorrow. Absolutely ridiculous! Were trying to limit our exposure!

Easy to shop online and the store pick up. Cute stuff for kids. Ashley (usually in guest service) is always super friendly, helpful with a smile. Would like more coupons/sales/savings but otherwise love this target!!!

Very disappointed. I went to Target last night with my daughter, when done with my shopping I went to the self checkout lane and when I was about to start scanning, this blonde guy (an employee) walked right to my register, started doing some stuff on the screen and puff, he turned off the register without telling me anything. I looked straight at him and told him ARE YOU SERIOUS? He just looked at us, smiled and walked away. I will go back and will get his name because his customer service really sucks. This target is obviously getting super ghetto.

Recent received a Voxbox with an item this store Carries! Type A:fresh linen scent deoderant is an aluminum free cruelty free deodorant that was lasting most of the day and left zero to no Marks on my clothing very impressed! Thank you for the sample!

I stopped in to purchase a lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On my way out, in saw the original staff member and she made sure that I found the item I was looking for. The true meaning of customer service. Excellent work.

Upgraded 2 of our iPhones... Adam was amazing. He answered all of our questions without hesitation. He knew the packages, insurance and phones like the back of his hand. It was the best customer service Ive received in a long time. We came in late and he stayed attentive even when the store lights shut off. I am recommending all of my friends come into the store and see Adam if they need any electronics. Very satisfied.

I hate to be a hall monitor but...I saw three stock people in the food section not covering their nose with their masks. I confronted one of them and they shrugged like they didnt care. Its just frustrating.

More often than not, I see the same associate at the customer service desk. She is so kind and efficient. Just a super nice woman. We always laugh, because I say I Love Target....she says, We Love You Too. ...I love Target.

I have always loved Target but today the cashier named Jessica that checked us out was above and beyond nice. She let my son w/ autism help check out and was so patient and friendly. She was amazing.

Asked for information on yarn was given directions aisle number and personal escort. From there needed dog coat for winter AGAIN was given specific directions ...Found quickly and almost effortlessly....I LOVE TARGET!!!!!

Love Target, always have. BUT, please stop putting the SLOWEST people behind the Customer/Returns Desk. A line of 4-5 people, and the ONE person you had assigned decided to walk slower than molasses to the other end of the store for whatever reason. At that point, I realized Id be standing there for close to an hour to return 3 items.

This is a nice target. Its really quiet not very noisy. They close down their food court and opened up a Starbucks I dont do Starbucks but it seems to be bringing in customers and I think it is one of the least busiest Starbucks around. Target in my opinion usually has things that you would not find on Walmart like something odd. They are also around college campuses. They do not have a large TV selection but they do have nice inexpensive bookshelves

I am glad that they finally remodeled this Target a few years ago. It is nice, large and freshly stocked but still has old aspects to it that feel a bit dated. It also always seems to be empty.

Poor customer service

Our local Target is a nice place to get various necessities including food, clothes, cleaning supplies, ect. The workers cooperate with all of their customers. Target is also one of the biggest retail franchise along with various other stores. Automatic 5 stars.

Good selection. Nice employees. Big parking lot so easy to find a place to park.

The transition to self check out is less than desirable. I usually shop on Sunday and for quite some time there has only been one manned check-out line. Walmart is a little farther but worth the drive for manned checkout lanes. If I have to self check-out then prices should be reduced even further.

Very helpful staff. On black Friday the store was clean and well organized and the staff was aware of sales and location of items. Great place to shop!

I did not appreciate the level of disrespect and rudeness when I was being checked out. Their machine was not working so my card didn’t work. I asked to be rung up at customer service. The woman who was standing behind my cashier laughed and said she couldn’t do that. A polite employee came over and took me to another register. When I swiped my card and it worked, there was no apology or anything for inconvenience. I called to speak to management and a women who I couldn’t hear answered and put me on hold for over 10 minutes. The call kept going back to her. I am no longer shopping at this Target.

Can always find something you need there

People were friendly but I did not see any motorized carts for handicapped. They might have them but I really didnt look. What I was able to find what I needed and the staff for friendly.

We were in there and out in about thirty minutes. They had the best serves so if you had a question they were there to help. There were no lines for check out and lots of close parking space

Convenience, I can always get in and out quickly when I need to. On the days I can spend more time in the store the atmosphere is conducive to that too.
