Went in here to ask about a problem with my phone and the associate we had was easy going and friendly. We had to go back to get my phone fixed and the woman we had was genuinely nice and helped me get my problem solved even though it was packed in there. I would recommend here over t-mobile but thats just me and my experiences have always been good with this company no matter where Ive gone.
Aliyah was amazing at the store .I came in to activate a phone….she went up and beyond!!!!She help me activate my phone and the we added 2 more lines to the plan for a great price!!!! I feel like they needed help..they were pack and not enough stall.Aliyah seemed like she was positively helping all her customers so I’m happy I got her, but aliyah was GREAT!!!! Aliyahs a sweetheart and super genuine…I’ll be back, keep the good ones!!!

He stated a certain amount of money we would be charged and no extra fees but come to find out 300$ more than what he said... communication and the Employees knowledge to answer our questions was subpar.. disappointed
Sold me a phone out of thier pocket it was possesed. Then i come back to the store they let several clients in front of me as i waited for a long time. if your white they obviously treat you different
I had an appointment and after about 2 hours and they were about to close I finally get called. The staff has no knowledge about working with Android products. Even I was telling them what I need and I can do it myself they still was not listening or understanding. AT&T need to do better, your staff should know about Android just as well as Apple products. Im still trying to get what I need to complete the setup of my watch to my phone.
Chris was competent, quick, diagnostically sharp, polite, and was a kidder to boot (he pulled my leg when I asked him if the new sim card meant I lost all of my contacts... and had me to boot!) I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes. Really an exceptional employee.

Paid for a discount and after the fact was told it doesnt apply unless I have auto pay and paperless plus they make you pay for insurance so when they tell you if you get a aarp account dont its just wasting 12 dollars amazingly disappointed 2hrs of my time wasted
When I walked in, an agent immediately greeted me, though currently working with another customer, to assure me that someone would sign me in for service momentarily. All agents were helping other patrons, but one broke away for a brief moment to sign me in, ascertaining that I had no scheduled appointment. He kindly informed me that there were three others ahead of me waiting in their cars to be called in. He asked me if I could do the same, but found out that I could not since I walked there (3.3 mi. one-way). He allowed me to wait inside the warm store by sitting near the window because it was cold outside (about 33°F). He first made sure that I was willing to wait for about 30 to 45 minutes.Well, in less than 20 minutes, I was very pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Jackie who was available to assist me. She kindly asked for the reason for my visit and patiently cared for all of my product needs. She clearly showed me all my options and showed me how my needs could be most affordably met. I was COMPLETED SATISFIED WITH HER OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE and left there as a VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!

Came in to store was told was put on a waiting list which was supposed to be about an hour wait. I ended up waiting 3 hours only to get home with the new phones and discovered the new phone was signed up to the wrong phone number. I called the store and was told I have to go out of my way and spend my time and gas to drive 45minutes away to fix their mistake it cant be fixed over the phone....called back and spoke the the manager Angela explained the situation she then said nothing could be done you must come back to the store, I asked for some sort of credit for my inconvenience and she replied No it was a human mistake and you wont get anything for your inconvenience so if you go to a restaurant and the cook burns your steak Angela will you pay for it eat it...my guess is NO!....terrible managerial skills!!!!AT&T customer service is a joke they dont care if your inconvenienced at all...thinking of just switching to another service provider Im done with their high rates and poor customer service
Big turnover in associates. Called AT&T corporate summer 2020 asked about the Vet discount they offer. They told me to go into the store with discharge papers to get hooked up. I called the store and they said sure come on it, I went the next day. Drove out to Merrillville store and guy there told me nothing they could do, said corporate had to do it and that I had to call them. Went back home and called corporate again. They said oh no problem heres a website you can go on and provide the info so we will give you a Vet discount. Did that got the discount. Run around for no apparent reason other than employees not trained on both ends appropriately.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the items that were available. He was considerate to my price availability and not trying to increase the sale. The young man was true to being there for the customers and not for the increased sales.
Ryan is awesome, he helped me with my new iPhone 12 Pro Max and took care of me and my wife’s Apple watches, everything is working great. Awesome service!

I’ve only received continuous great service with AT&T at the Merrillville store. And the same with telephone & online agents of AT&T.
I needed to return my phone and was helped by a male salesperson. He stated that he didn’t have a phone I wanted after going to the back for some time. However when I checked online it stated that there where phones at the store for curbside pick up. So if you don’t have phones why can I buy it online and pick it up in store the same day. Horrible service.
Mother in-law was told they dont teach you how to use phones by Ryan. Thats nice customer service. Husband calls to Talk with a manager who refuses to give names and id numbers for corporate. Needless to say I encourage everyone to avoid this store. If you want poor service and garbage attitude this place has that.
Had an 11:00 am appt. Checked in, was told to wait in My car. 3 hours later got a call to see If I was still there. Thats with a confirmed appt! Dont waste Your time at this store.

They were patient and dilegent in trying to help me solve the problem.And boy it was a huge mess, too, for them to figure out. Chris was so awesome! Made three trips to activate phones so far. Very kind staff. Don’t know how to help. Need phones activated. Paying for service I can’t use. Hope they can figure it out. Want to charge me 2 $50 restocking fees so they can try with different phones since the brand news ones I just naught from them are not working. Eight hours wasted so far.Hope they can figure it out soon.Multiple people ended up getting helped who came in after me. I guess they put me into there system incorreclty and I ended up waiting for 50 minutes to see someone. I called ahead and no one was in the store. Lame.My dude helped solve my issue after three trips in. AT&T has a lot of issues. Wish we had not switched from Verizon.

Sales man with pink mowhawk is awful. He told my husband that he would give him $350 for his old phone, so he upgraded to a new one. When he returned to turn in his old phone the same salesman told him on i can only give you $13. This is why i have verizon amd most likely my husband will be switching over. You have definently lost a customer.

Last Sunday afternoon they were only letting one customer at a time in their store. All customers were waiting outside. They told us we would have to wait one hour. It was close to one hour. If my wife didn’t have her heart set on that phone I would’ve dropped AT&T right there.I still will in the future.
After dealing with customer service telling me to go into a store then the manager telling me I need to call customer service for a few hours one of the associates Mercedes pulled me aside and got me taken care of with the right customer service number and the steps to take. Thank you Mercedes

Friendly and efficient but I bought a phone that was out a week and they had zero cases for it. Not good.
3 years ago (still mad to this day), The salesman (first name starts with A) — lied to us about being able to get one each of Apple and Android for a buy one get one free deal. The credit was supposed to come on the bill in the first six weeks and it never came, and then he denied saying that. If we knew you had to get the same type of course we would’ve gotten the same type because I really don’t care, in fact I have an apple now. I was just used to an android at the time but it wasn’t like I was stuck on it. On top of that he added insurance onto our plan without even asking us about it, which ended up costing us an extra 15 to 20 bucks a month. (The price of the insurance actually increased in the middle of the plan .) Also, the reason we switched to AT&T from Verizon was mainly to bundle all services but then they couldn’t even come through on the TV or the Internet either. It never did get installed. Needless to say we canceled as soon as our two years was up and we will never go back to AT&T!! We really liked Verizon before, but we are with T-mobile right now and we’re happy with them as well.

Terrell and Craig were awesome, they understand customer service which is something the AT&T staff in Crown Point could learn a thing or two about. I wouldnt send my worst enemy to the Crown Point location! If you want to feel valued as an AT&T customer my advice is go to the Merrillville store.

My mother had a terrible experience at this location. She was trying to get her deceased father’s service canceled. She had called customer service and and they told her to go to an AT&T store. This was the store she went to. When she got there, she checked in and told them why she was there. After waiting about 20 minutes, she was told they “couldn’t do that” there. She explained the situation many times and the employee told her again and again (arrogantly and unprofessionally) that she couldn’t do that. My mother went out to the car and called customer service. They again told her to go to a store and my mother explained the situation. The customer service agent, clearly disgusted, took care of it over the phone.
I purchased an unlocked AT&T compatible phone from a non AT&T store, walked in, waited about 15 minutes because they were busy. They transferred over all my contacts and photos from my old phone to my new phone for me.Very professional the whole time. Very impressed with the service I received at the Merrillville,Indiana AT&T store across from the mall.
I was met by a he tech rep immediately. He did an excellent job explaining my opinions.
My phone was having some issues and Shawn went above and beyond to help. Not only did he fix the problem and answer all of my questions but he was incredibly understanding that I had two little boys, both under the age of three, with me. He kept track of my pauses in conversation to help the boys and even let my 3 year old use the employee bathroom. Thank you so much!

Ryan has done or the best customer service I have ever seen. Not only did he help suggest a new phone within our price range, but he explained the ins and its abd made sure we totally understood everything. We ended up buying a phone and 3 accessories. The store closed at 8pm and we got there around 7pm. He didnt rush us one time. He even stayed so he can put the glass protector on, the next day he sent text following up with us to make sure every thing went well. Hands down the greatest services Ive received in a LONG TIME. Knowledgeable sales staff. Showed me lower priced alternative phones I had not even considered for my 13yr olds first phone, but the accessories prices are 2x to 5x that of Amazon. I understand thats where they make their money but be competitive and I would have got them.
My customer service person was awesome. Very helpful and once my name was called I was in and out. The only downfall is that there was a considerable wait, even though I ordered the phone online.
Be on alert. They have sales reps who lie to close a sale. If its not a sale they do not want to be bothered. Even for sales please listen carefully to what they say write it down in detail and verify. Trust me

Literally the worst store. I had to go in to pick up a box they were holding for me...they never told me to schedule an apt just said theyd have it...I got there at 1015 and finally left 40 min later...try entertaining a kid there just WAITING 37 min...yes. Once it was my turn it took them Less than 3 min to get the box and charge me
I just moved to Lowell and signed up for At&t internet. Biggest mistake Ive ever made. I was told two days in a row that my hardware would be showing up the day that I spoke with customer service. Both days. Nothing. Then I called for the third time. Sat on the phone for an hour just to be told that the department I need to talk to is closed. (It was open when I made the call. it took them so long to determine who I needed to talk to that they closed in the meantime) called again the next day only to be told my device MIGHT show up days from now. Im already moved in now and havent had service for over ten days. I need a internet connection for work.

Jeysin Alcatraz, the Sales Manager, at this location was rude and dismissive of my concerns about my new phone. He was more in a rush to get to the next customer and refused to help me. This man literally told me to go to bestbuy because he can’t do anything for me. Keep in mind I bought both of my iPhone 11 Pro Max phones from this location. I’ve been a loyal customer with AT&T for a number of years.

Ryan was amazing he has literally saved my life. My phone broke Friday night no warranty left and insurance advised they didnt have any of my model phone in stock and neither did ATT they offered to send me out a check for my phone and I could go and purchase a new phone which was great in 4 or 5 days when I received the check BUT what do I do now. I go to the ATT store and Ryan got me in an amazing device helped me pay off my old broken device setup my new one and talked me through the entire process with a smile. Ryan needs a HUGE raise in pay!!!!!

Went to AT&T today. This place definitely needs a greeter to sign people in as soon as they walk in. This isnt the first time Ive walked and and stood there 10 or 15 minutes before I just had to just jump in and ask is anyone working, because they dont acknowledge people coming in. And Ive seen where people just leave including myself before.
Friendly service, but they are very slow here. Might take you over an hour to get something simple done

Service is awful. Its always busy so plan on waiting a LONG time (not what they tell you) I was told it would b 20 min. I waited over an hour. I have been there every month the last 5 months and was told my bill would be lower the next month. NEVER HAS BEEN LOWERED so I have to keep going back. Im changing carriers !!!!! They really have to get there crap together at that place. Its just awful. If I could Id give it a big-00000 stars.
Theyre efficient and get stuff done but nothing beyond that in the way of service.Worst part is how the executive explained the costs of porting in to us - just the cost of the line. Then just a one time activation fee. Then just a fee for the sim. Then just yada yada. I dont like costs being snuck in to me, so that was pretty awful... But thats just how they do business.

Their service is fine during the purchase process but afterwards its absolutely pathetic. They cant even do the most basic tasks like getting a cust service phone number. They put me on hold and then just left me there until I hung up after 20 mins. Then they wanted to charge me a $45 restocking fee on a $100 phone that isnt much better than my Iphone 3. Never again will I do business with them.
Where do I start, be advised that they are not customer centered, because of the size of their organization they take an adversarial position against you and refuse to help customers even when they are clearly in the wrong, their customer service representatives have a lack of regard for customers and everyone goes out if their way to make simple transactions difficult. I have spent at least 10 hours on the phone with customer service over the last month with consent refusal to resolve any wrongs done.Me and my wife have been insulted multiple times by your staff and if there is some relief we still lose one way or another. I spent 3 hours in your store 10/7 issues, I was on the phone for 1 hour 10/6 with customer service about paying my bill before they admitted there was a issue with the system so my payment did not register. I was on the phone for 2:43 hours on 11/5 about my bill where I was charged more for services than agreed, I was basically told to bad because the customer service told me the wrong information. I finally had to go the store on 11/11 and was finally told that they would retify the issue, but they wanted my phone which I upgraded. I was forced to give up my phone even though I was told the wrong information then I was told that they would do nothing make the issue right in the store and told that I was going to have to order the phone online if they would even consider fixing my issue.Then they put me customer service on phone who refused to make the situation right and began to ask me personal questions about my business decisions, more succinctly asking me about the status of my original phone on the contract. Even though I was offended I explained that I sold the phone because we upgraded the account under the guise that we were adding a line for 9.99 a month which they turned around and tried to charge me 30.00 a month and it seemed toe that the rep on the phone was upset about the store reversing that contract. Also consider that my bill multiple charges that were not supposed to be there. Keep in mind that this is all happening over the course of 1 month. When I tell you the service has been bad consider that I will stop here because I am tired of typing. The worse experience in the world, the most demeaning and insulting company I have ever dealt with. And know that we still have drop calls and other issues. It is the most expensive, plan wise. I hope this helps you if you are planning to switch services. And finally beware if the not a corporate store game. They will say that if you have issues at the store you cannot get it resulted over the phone, you have to call or go to the store. Welcome to AT&T

Worst experience ever. Been with AT&T 20 years, never had so many problems. Turned in a Note 7 and was told the BOGO would be covered even though I picked out an LG. Turns out bog isn’t honored. Guy in store used it as a way to sell me a phone (he originally pushed for me to get an iphone). Also sold us a tablet, said there wasn’t a contract for it, but turns out there is (even tho it isn’t in any of our paperwork). Can’t turn them in, there’s a contract. No way to fix this mess. These people will tell any lie necessary to sell. Do not trust.
