Came in today and purchased a rowing machine and worked with Jacob. I must say it was an absolute pleasure to work with him. He is very honest, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend this store.

I am delighted to make this review. First and foremost, Jacob (Manager) and I had many conversations pertaining to the machine I bought. I had ordered a machine from another company out of California. He had indicated the slow down due to the Coronas and that he had a machine on the floor I could pick up the very next day. After at least 10 phone conversations, emails and an extraordinary amount of effort, I purchased a machine he thought would fit me that he had in store in a box. It didnt quite have the options I needed so he took a couple items off the floor model and made it fit! He saved me a few hundred dollars and was very aggressive on satisfying my needs. He then personally drove to my residence on his day off in his personal car to ensure my delivery promise needs were met! This is how a sales transaction needs to be. This was an old school effort by a guy 15 years younger than me that was raised right. (Kudos to parents) We then had a good conversation before he left. He wasnt in a big rush to leave even though it was his day off. The owner and company should applaud him and give him a huge token of appreciation for going above and beyond his duties. Please recognize him as a very, very valuable employee and feel free to use this review on whatever post you wish. I am beyond speechless. I ordered some equipment during Covid for my house. Once i received it, it wasnt even properly setup. Being that i ordered online and not in person. I truthfully want happy with my purchase. I had a change of heart and wanted to return the product. Only to find out that they will charge me a 25% return fee & a $275 pickup Fee.. Keep in mind the machine i bought was roughly $4000. So in order to return it i needed to pay them $1250 .. This company is a bunch of crocks !

We bought an elliptical machine and Teeter inversion table a year ago and could not be happier. We had a great experience from the beginning to the end with our purchase. Jacob was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Ive purchased many items over the last few years, powerblocks, bench, weight stacks, treadmill, rower and a bike, and have had a great experience each time. Jake takes care of you each time, great communication, and terrific follow through.

Ive had an amazingly positive experience shopping here. I purchased a water rower from Brandon, and he was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He helped me choose the best machine for me, and I bought one that I really like. Brandon also offered to give me free personal training sessions to make sure I was using the proper technique. I took him up on that offer, and have been coming into the store regularly for training sessions tailored to me that incorporate the rower and weight lifting routines. I got so much more here than I expected and I have been recommending this place to everyone. So glad I wandered into this place...its changing my life.

Jake is an excellent salesman. He is more interested in you getting a quality machine than getting your money. He offers no pressure sales unlike car salesmen. This will be my second purchase from their store and the best part about 2nd Wind is that when you have a problem with your equipment they get right on it. Also when you purchase they get it delivered to you super fast. They offer the best prices hands down. I recommend them highly. Check them out first before you go anywhere else...YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

After purchasing an elliptical last year, I wanted to exchange it for an incline treadmill to change up my exercise routine. My first interaction was with Jake Williams, store manager. He spent time understanding my needs and helped me choose a high quality machine. He was never pushy, unreasonable, or rude. He worked with me on a great price and buy back on my elliptical. I can honestly say that this purchase was one of my better experiences and that is a credit to Jake. He has integrity, keeps his word, follows up, and seeks to meet my needs above all else. I had a very good experience with this store. The store manager Jake Williams was very personable and knowledgeable. I believe I received a great used treadmill that will suit my needs for good amount of time. Also, know that if service is needed, I can contact them and get the work done. The delivery guys were also timely, considerate and patient when moving the treadmill into my home. I will definitely shop with them again.

I never knew Johnson fitness &wellness even existed till I found it on the web. I went in thinking that I would just look around and see what they had - with no intention of buying anything. But when I saw the great deals they had - I bought a used Hoist V-2 Gym and a new treadmill. I had thought about joining a Gym. This is better. With zero percent financing - my payment is just 85 dollars a month (about the same price as the YMCA). That includes delivery and setup. Jake Williams - the manger- gave me a great deal.Thanks-Dan

He offered me items that were in my price range and gave me some good advice on what would be best for the type of workout that I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this place! Went in to find out what kind of equipment they had and at what price ranges. Before we could even look at the equipment the Salesman starts asking us if we know anything about the store. My husband replied that we didnt and that we wanted to look around. The Salesman started going on about how they have new equipment, and not used as most people think. He gave us this long speech that we didnt care about because we were just there to look. Then he asked us what our price range was (which we hadnt really discussed because again we were trying to get the equipment priced out before making a decision). We just made up a figure of $200-$500 since he really wanted to know. He literally scoffed at us and told us to, and I quote try a department store. I couldnt help but to laugh at how rude that was. If we had a chance to look around we may have found something we really liked and financed it with them. Apparently they dont care to work with customers. I will never go back and I suggest you also look elsewhere!

I was shopping for a treadmill and came here to have a look. The sales person, Jake, was helpful and showed me quite a number of models that fit what I was looking for. He wasnt pushy only showed me options. I left without purchasing and Jake followed up with me in a few days via email answering any questions I had. He eventually got me what I wanted at a price I could afford and I could not be happier with the unit I purchased or the assistance I received.

OK, long post alert! I give a high rating to this business, mostly due to the customer service. In January I went in with a specific type of machine in mind, and Brandon showed me what they had available, the difference between models, and discussed the maintenance exchange program. I ended up getting what I came in for (the Zero Runner ZR7) in a good used unit for $2000, along with the maintenance exchange program. After using it for several months, and although I loved how it simulated the running motion, I found that I just couldnt get the intensity I needed for high intensity workouts, so I went in for a different type of equipment (spin bikes). Again, Brandon showed me the various models they had and let me try them out at length. I ended up going with the entry level model and took it home that day. After about a week, I figured out that this model didnt meet my needs, so I simply took it back and got a refund. Brandon was again courteous and professional, and didnt give me a hard time. After about a month of looking at other brands top of the line units, I finally figured out that I just needed to return my original $2000 ZR7 and go with the Matirx IC7. spin bike I received the full credit for the ZR7 applied to the purchase, made up the slight difference and took it home. It is perfect!! So, how many stores are going to let you take home two pieces of equipment, try them out for weeks or months, and return them for full credit so you can get what finally works for you? So stop in, talk to Brandon, and he will help you get what you need.

Jake was awesome! Got me what I wanted, was not pushy, very helpful. I bought a pair of powerblock dumbbells, stand and kettlebell attachment for cheaper than power blocks website. I am already planning another purchase in a month or two and I will only deal with Jake.

These people are scumbags. You may as well order a treadmill online after trying it in their store; either that, or buy one at a box store after establishing the maintenance protocols. The employees are basically car salesman; theyll say anything to make a deal. But once you get whatever item you buy there, they wont help you with any of the eventual problems you will face. I called five times, only to be told they had taken my information (which took fifteen minutes just to call up in their system), and then with each subsequent call, they were more and more curt, until finally I wizened up. One call to the manufacturer and warranty holder of my device, and I received all of the electronic components that were affected. 2nd Wind will not help you with anything other than parting with your money.

I have purchased an elliptical and a Bodycraft HFT Functional Trainer. I have had several issues with the elliptical making loud clanking noise when in use. Brandon and Jacob worked with me and the manufacture to have the machine serviced, which had to be done on a few occasions. After the issue continued to have issues Both Brandon and Jacob worked with me on swapping out the elliptical of another manufacture. They really were very helpful and concerned about my purchase and everything they could to make this a positive purchase for me. I could not be happier the way Brandon and Jacob handled the situation. They have be wonderful to deal with.

I had a great experience purchasing a used Precor elliptical from 2nd Wind in Merrilville, IN. I worked with Brandon and he did a great job. He worked with me on pricing and offered to meet me anytime of day for pickup. So far I am very happy with the service and value I received. I would urge anyone looking for quality exercise equipment to check them out.
