I just spent an hour in the Mesquite store. The only sales associate who spoke to me was the one I approached to get a guitar down, which he did and then walked away. I was ignored for an hour. I’m buying a guitar today, but I won’t buy it there. $1000 might not be much to them, but it is for me. I wanted to buy the red Strat and had lots of questions.

Worst customer service ! Never coming back here again. As soon as you walk in forcing you to wear a mask, felt so upset because I served this nation for freedom ! I guess liberals are running this store !

They have the necessary things for a musician but not really specific in instruments(I went and didnt have a piano so thats what i mean about specific) and they also have some other cool stuff too

Not sure what happened to gc. This is a glorified string and cable shop at this point. They selection of gear is lacking. There is a couple of standout associates but for the most part the associates are more interested in showing off their sweet licks than helping customer.

I stopped by at this location on 07/10/21 around 11am, to sell back some equipment. The young lady that assisted me was very helpful, courteous, and understanding. Unfortunately, I did not sell back my equipment as felt the offer was a litter lower than I expected. Which was perfectly fine. I was not upset, if anything I felt embarrassed for wasting the associate’s time. What I did have an issue with was with one of the other associates. As I walked out the door, my wife was in the store trying to coral our young girls. She then happens to hear one of the male associates tell the young lady that assisted me “That I should keep my expectations in check and stick with half price bookstore”. Thankfully, my wife waited to tell me until we got home but I feel it is important that the employee knows that he is correct. I will definitely keep my expectation in check regarding Guitar Center. I believe there were two male associated but I think it was one named Nathan

Went to sale some DJing equipment and even though I thought I was sitting on a gold mine of product... Turned out to be a pile of caca... 😞 The guy was super nice and very informative as to why my Google searches were betraying me!!! Even came out to my car so I wouldnt be embarrassed toting it back out.

I like this GC. Its a smaller store and pretty laid back. It definitely had a lived in family look. No hovering sales people trying to upsell. I had time to play at a reasonable volume without distraction. And I bought a decent PA. I realize there may be people who want to see a huge stock and big displays and thats good for them but I prefer the lack of over-stimulation a smaller store brings. Ive always purchased from smaller music stores for this reason. I miss Charlies Guitars since leaving DallasKudos to GC Mesquite!

The guitar tech Kenny is awesome! He setup my American Fender Strat and brought it back to life! Friendly staff. I was very pleased with the Customer Service Manager as well. He helped me get an amp I ordered brand new in box and it was delivered on my doorstep the next day! I’m impressed with this location. Needless to say I will be back for sure!

Being an artist endorsed by the Lewisville location; Ill say although the only downfall in Mesquite is the size of the store...Could be bigger.Guitar Center, Arlington has that won🏆

I absolutely LOVE this place. GUITAR CENTER IS THE BEST when it comes to buying instruments. I went to buy a keyboard and I was kindly greeted by the staff. The staff were very generous and helpful. The instruments were high quality and for a great price. This place is very calm, friendly, and enjoyable. I went to different Guitar Center before and I had the same experience such as the kind staff, calm environment, and great prices.

I went in about an hour before closing and it surprised me how positive and respectful the team was, specifically Cole and MC (I hope I remembered their names), they were polite, efficient, and their work flow is great.

The same consistent awesome Guitar Center like in every city. Always have what I need.

My 7 yr old grandson has had a blast learning drums from Steve, chatting with MC and being treated like a little rock star by all the staff every day we walked in the store. Really a great total experience for us.

Worst customer service ever. Physically assaulted and verbally accosted by the manager and several employees over the mask issue. Had they asked me, a veteran, nicely to please put one on I would have been fine with it and wore it. So I instead went to Sam Ash, better products, much friendlier employees. And I bought the $600+ guitar from them. Ill NEVER go to guitar center again for anything. No excuse for rudeness ever. SAM ASH has better.

Ive spent THOUSANDS of dollars here over my lifetime. Sadly this is my last as they have chosen to impose unethical, unjust, unscientific, and unamerican dictates to wear a face covering to shop at their store. You have lost a longtime loyal customer. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. They have a variety of things in their store. This store is good for music lovers and instrument lovers. They also have apps you can purchase to make your own music and beats. The prices are very fair. I purchased from them and I will be going back.

I am truly amazed how this place is still open. Overpriced and the WORST customer service.I’m a 55 year old white male with money to burn.Went to the acoustic room, no one offered assistance or even looked in on me. Walked out to the electric bass area wanting to see what that had and a group of black shirt employees are gathered around the register laughing and having a great time. Not one took a moment to ask if I needed assistance. I hope they work on commission because they’ll get ZERO from me.One star because negatives are not offered.Guess I’ll drive over to Sam Ash. At least they acknowledge you.

Guitar tech was great....customer service a bit slow...price on accessories a bit high...and no customer rewards...

I’m not sure if they have a thin guitar and bass inventory because of the ongoing pandemic, but everything else seems to be very well stocked.I didn’t need any of that though so not my problem, they had everything I needed(strings and a new studio monitor) and helped me out.They seem to get super busy and only have a few employees on hand so please be reasonable and don’t go in there thinking you’re some important nobody who’s going to get their feet kissed because you play the same open mic to the same 10 dudes on Wednesday nights.If you’re THAT important you should probably have an endorsement and don’t need to be shopping at Guitar Center.

Call me Casper the unhappy customer, after having read a several reviews of customers being ignored by staff — I ventured on anyway and my experience was just the same. I wandered into a few areas of the store, both front and back.. and got 0 assistance.I came in with specific items to purchase and anticipated a quick trip. Instead I left empty handed and ready to peruse Amazon.As others stated, “not enough staff” was not the issue and one employee even made eye contact with me before continuing to windex a glass enclosure.Save your time and gas and do not bother with this location unless you enjoy an uninterrupted, unassisted experience.

After a REALLY bad experience at the Cedar Hill store, I was completely through with guitar center.Then I called the Mesquite store and talked the manager James. He was awesome and fixed all my problems. With brick and mortar stores, customer service is the most important thing, and the Mesquite store excels at this.You have many choices for GCs in the DFW area.Choose Mesquite! Thanks James!

I bought a Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX dj controller here for $279. It has features that a lot of the more expensive controllers dont have.

Ordered a pedal here and it was back ordered so we canceled it these people couldnt even refund the money correctly and gave me excuse and excuse for almost a year and now they cant get me my money at all. Wont ever buy from any guitar center again.

Limited stock, employees always busy. You are better off just ordering online and sparing yourself the 20 minute wait for an employee to pretend like they care about if they have what you are looking for in stock or not.

Bought a standard setup for my ibanez. It was terrible. Still dead notes on the fretboard. Super high action. I didnt even get it back in tune... garbage for a certified tech. The employees are not professionally mannered. Very sad experience.

It seems to me that if you are a senior citizen that you are invisible at this location. On my last two visits I was completely ignored. All of the sales associates were at the front of the store having a good time. There loss I came in to purchase an 1800 dollar guitar.I have decided to order from Sweetwater instead. I have spent over 30,000 dollars with Guitar Center in the last 5years.I dont care for online shopping, but at least I wont be ignored.

Sold me a used device mpk mark 3 well used in brand new packaging worker are amazing but they will sell used and broken products the package even had the clear sticker seals unbroken bottom line they will sell used devices as long as you dont notice

I have to say this specific store has the worst customer service. They unplug all equipment on the floor so you can’t test it out, try to sell you drum stores they’ve been sitting on for months - and when you order online they cancel your order without telling you. Will shop anywhere except guitar center.

This was my first time at this particular guitar Center and I loved it! Very knowledgeable and helpful staff, tons to look at, touch, and see. Played with a few ukuleles and found great pricing for a new carrying case for my ukulele. My husband found a completely mic set, stand, cord kit etc for a wonderful price and found what he needed to fix his guitar. We spent a couple hours there just looking around and playing. Great place!!!!

The best in the Mesquite area. The staff is knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable. The quality is good to excellent. They have a club membership you can purchase for $20 and you can get $5 off guitar strings every month for a year. It is renewable. Its a pretty good deal since their strings are pretty reasonable to begin with. I give the club membership as a Christmas present to my guitar playing family members. They love it.

MC was awesome help. He guided us as we had no clue what we needed to get our son set up.

I usually don’t get much service at this company except for the last time I stopped in.

I visited the store looking for a replacement record player and expected to spend way too much. I wasnt there for 5 minutes before Josh (associate) found me and pointed me in the right direction. He went over the pros and cons of every RP they had and even found a deal that included speakers for way less than I thought Id spend. I cant speak for all of the employees but he made it a pleasant trip and the sound is great! I will soon add pictures.

Located near TGI Fridays in Mesquite, Texas. This Guitar Center is relatively small in comparison to some. They still have practice rooms and lessons and mechanics. The prices are really good. We got two packs of bass strings, two packs of guitar strings, and a double guitar stand. The strings are about the same price as online places. The stand was less than one we got a few years back online and its a much nicer quality with plush seats for the instruments. If you arent familiar with Guitar Center, they sell guitars (given) and the things you need to maintain/play them on, percussion instruments including pianos/keyboards, lighting, audio, and stage gear. Some have woodwinds and brass instruments but I didnt see them at this location (doesnt mean they dont have them though). The staff here are very friendly and helpful. There is accessible parking/ramps.

Did not have much inventory to choose from.

I called to see if they had what we wanted was on hand and the price range, the guy I talked to gave me a price for the most expensive one. Then when we go to the store being Labor Day weekend they had a bunch of what we were looking for on sale. But everyone that we wanted that was on sale was gone and this was on Saturday morning. Then a sales rep and my husband went to the back to see what was available and compare prices. Because they didnt have what we wanted he was going to give us a discount but then we got home and checked the receipt we never got the discount. Found it for cheaper and better quality online and was able to return it with no problem and thats why they got two stars instead of one.

I love this place. People are Uber friendly. Are happy to see you and you can tell it in the way the speak to you. The bad part is I go in here to drool at all the guitars I know I can never have. I love guitars and being around guitars. Every time I go in here I try to keep my composure because I could never afford one of any kind.

The People inside that facility are actually nice and chill plus they help out a lot.

Im an amateur harmonica player. Called to see if they had one i wanted. They only had one left so MC put it aside for me. He was willing to make the extra mile part of his regular route & go make sure they had it. When i arrived, i talked to JR. He was very informative but admitted he was not well versed in them. Rather than push just to make the sale, he just laid out the facts & let me make my own decision. In the end, i didnt buy it (YET) & he was honest in saying hed like to make the sale but didnt want me to get started on something too advanced, be intimidated & then turned off to it. When Im ready to move up, Ill definitely be back & dealing with JR or MC.

While I have been generally impressed with this store, it never really stood out until just recently. My father-in-law, who was a drummer, passed away recently and when my wife went into this store to purchase a pair of drumsticks to place in his casket, they were not only helpful, but generous as well. Small things like the thoughtfulness of this employee are what make customers for life. Stores should encourage and reward actions such as this, as in an age when chain stores dominate and impersonal service is the norm, these small things make all the difference.
