Eric was super helpful. However This store would be better if they stop following people around. I don’t steal, never have and never will. I will just start shopping on the app for now on. One store associate kept asking me to sign up for a card I told her I was going to get denied (i don’t have any credit history) but she kept insisting. I used to work retail and know what they say “further pending review” it basically means denied.

I visited this location two days in a row and each time I was met with great customer service by the African American lady Lex! Initially when I walked in on July 17, 2021, the door greeter nor any of the sales associate even asked if I needed a shopping bag for products. Jessica (African American lady) asked if I needed help, then Lex helped. Lex was extremely helpful throughout my entire shopping experience! I had the pleasure of seeing Lex again today and I would like to say that if you go there, go to Lex for service! She actually cares about the customers!

I had to deal with 10000 issues today and the customer service everywhere I went was not great until I got to Sephora. The girls said hi, were really helpful without being pushy and the cashier was a dream. She was sweet, out beat and perfect in every way. I usually dont write reviews but during those challenging times, such a great attitude and customer service need to be noticed. Keep up the good work.

Very nice employees. Didnt realize it was so expensive when I took my 12 year old in. Need some beginner makeup for the younger people.

I never take the time to write reviews, but this time I am because Timothy is SO worth it! I have never been in to makeup....but I am now over 50 and getting ready to retire out of the country, so I was in desperate need of makeup and had no idea where to begin. Timothy was so patient and kind to teach me how to do everything and introduce me to products and colors I would have never picked out for myself that I now love. I gained such confidence that I actually returned a month later to Timothy and expanded my makeup collection and aded some products...I found it wasnt so bad once you started using the products. I didnt even make an appointment the 2nd time to see him and he didnt seem to mind fitting me in.:) I always leave the store enjoying my experience with him, so thats why I am taking the time to write this review. I normally dread going into these places, but I am telling you this guy will make you not feel so out of place and you will leave happy give him a shot!

My experience here has been pretty bad each time but this time takes the cake. They either greet you or stare you down. Today I walked in and the store was pretty empty I initially went to the store to pick up an online order but opted to purchase a perfume first. I knew exactly what I wanted the associate immediately asked if I needed help (probably because I was wearing a big purse) I kindly told her no that I was just browsing, as I’m browsing and sniffing different scents I look up to see the security guard or an associate short, black guy standing in my way as I couldn’t even make a gesture to the associate to ask her if she had the perfume in a full size. I had to say excuse me to him twice for him to move. The associate then proceeded to help me but as I looked around I see a short Caucasian woman standing staring at me as well as two other associates. Being a black woman this happens quite often but to just blatantly stare me down was wrong and rude. They seriously need some customer service training as well as anti discriminatory training.

Nice place to get makeup. I came in looking for a specific item. I had to flag down an employee to ask where the smaller size was for that item. Reasonable prices. Clean store.

Easy in and out. The only issue is when you need something that’s not on display. My friend picked up a lipstick that had a defect in it that made it look empty. She asked to get another. Instead of the associate getting another lipstick, she went to another associate who then went to a manager for an opinion. About 5 minutes were wasted when a new lipstick could have solved everything. I’ve never had any issues here so 4/5

After being shamed out of the mall Sephora, I went here and was so grateful for how kind/ helpful the employee was to me and she graciously helped me order exactly what I wanted through their computer and got free shipping to my house. If the product you’re looking for isn’t in the store- ask them to check online and everything I wanted was there!! Appreciate the not-breathing-down-my-neck-judging-attitude you get at the Mall one. Much different experience here and just around the corner. Will come here for my Sephora products :)

I was disappointed by lack of selection on Clinique products. There were many empty spots where product should be.

This Sephora has an excellent array of quality brands & products. I was helped by Eric today & he was so kind, patient, & helpful. He gave me a mini consultation & helped me find the right makeup & moisturizer for my complexion. Very poky, small, and crowded. I asked am associate for a specific brand of product, and she convinced me to buy another brand, which of course I ended up hating, so now.i have to return it. Annoying.

Great customer service, I always feel welcomed! Ive been shopping here for a while and I truly enjoy fragrance shopping! I most recently purchased Spice Bomb night vision and its already a hit with my lady friend! The only reason Im giving 3 stars instead of 5 is due to the shrinking selection of mens fragrances in the store, there was once a whole wall or at least half a wall with mens fragrances and now theres a small portion of a wall with maybe 10 fragrances. I would really like to see more mens fragrances in the store and yes I could order online however if its a new fragrance Id prefer to smell it first before I buy it and unless theres an app for that,I wil continue to go to the store to shop for my colognes so please bring back a full mens collection so I can fully enjoy my shopping experience! So my staff experience was WONDERFUL but my makeup i bought was terrible. I bought a 40$ mark Jacobs eye liner plus some sephora liner. The mark Jacobs will not apply on my skin and looks washy and watery(i needed a dark purple for a part i was playing). The sephora liner was a twist type (and applied wonderfully)and it broke inside the pencil and fell out when it was brand new (I had used it 2x)and was unusable but I was told no swap or exchange on used make up(i get if it was shattered powder because you dropped it but this was like 4 inches of liner substance that just fell out and detached from the twist mechanism.

When you walk in, you are greeted by someone who tries to assess your needs and recommends where you should look for items you may like. When you get there, no one is there to help you. The sales people are made up like circus people with hair and makeup of crazy people. Id like to be waited on people who look classy not freaky.

Had some questions about my dry skin, the ladies recommended some stuff, put it on my skin and instantly my skin was glowing. All the girls were so helpful and sweet.

The workers are so nice and they have various brands to choose from! The quality of the makeup is nice and the general ambiance of the store is so bright and lively! Loved it!

Post Coronvirus: Dont bother coming if you plan on looking for shades of anything. You are not allowed to a single thing. Whats the point???

I love this Sephora location but everytime I go in there, the blonde short hair tall lady ALWAYS have something to tell me. She follows me sometimes too and I don’t know why.

POST COVID REVIEW! I really wanted to say how much I appreciate the extra precautions taken by staff to make sure everyone stays safe & protected. They only allow so many people to be in the store at one time, theres also social distancing stickers out front since theres obviously a line to get in. They sanitize your hands before entering, theres signage all over to get an associate if you want to try a product--they even sanitized the strings on the bag before giving it to me! The staff was knowledgable about where products were located. I probably spent at the most 15 minutes in the store, that includes even speaking with someone about a new product for some troubled areas. Great job Sephora in Metairie!

Went in on a Wednesday afternoon, several of the employees would make eye contact and smile but NEVER asked if I needed any help. I would see them offering to help other customers but not me. I started to think that maybe it was because I was dressed down and had a baseball hat on and they didnt think I was going to spend any money... ? Either way it was bad vibes. I pretty much helped MYSELF, got the foundation I needed and bolted. Probably wouldve bought more but I wanted to leave!

How was Sephora you ask?? Well, its like going to your best friends house who is a product junkie that stays with all the latest finds. They show you ALL THE THINGS and then tell you, while it isnt free, its a great deal because its on sale - and you dont even trip because you planned on buying things anyways. This is Sephora - your product junkie bestie who has a hustle selling all the best products and you love supporting them because they always make you feel welcome and give you all the product tea. I love sephora. It has everything you could possibly need for skin care. I love thier selection of perfumes and colognes. The makeup artists are very attentive. I always get a sample before I buy and they match me every time. I also really love thier reward program. They offer a gift for my your birthday but this yr I was a month and a half late to show up and I still got it. They offer a free makeup service or a facial depending on the amount of your purchase which is a nice bonus. 5 stars

AMAZING JOB ON MATCHING ME

I tried to buy a $200 blow dryer. I asked if they could plug the store example in so I could test it before making an expensive decision. The sales lady acted like I was asking a ridiculous request and seemed angry that I looked in the drawer to examine the store example. I walked out and went to Ulta.

Although they were crowded seems like the help were too busy talking to one another to assist customers. I walked around for quite a while and had to hunt someone down to help me. Will make purchases online from now on.

Excellent selection of brand names

I will never go back in for another makeover. The girl barely spoke to me. Didnt listen to what I wanted. It was my birthday. Bought a bunch of merchandise from them before the makeover and booked it 2 weeks before and the girl was so impatient. I was 10 mins early to my makeover which btw I had to fix when. I got home for my party that evening. She finally sat me down in my chair at 3:05 then took 15 mins looking for makeup to useWhen I told her what I wanted she said oh no we dont have time for that. It took her three times as long as I could have done it myself and wouldnt have felt so bad about myself on MY BIRTHDAY! Horrible experience. Felt like cattle. Such a shame..

If I could give them zero stars I would. I have had many problems out them. First is when I went in to buy a eyeliner and it was out of stock in which I was told that they would get another shipment in a few . so I go back to the store and still nothing which I needed it for my b day in a few days. I was then told I could drive all the way to baton rouge to pick up one they had.. Then I went in to have a make over done which says they do walk ins because I needed new make up for myself and was going to spend well over 50 dollars but they refused to help me the store was completely dead and the lady had not shown up for her appointment yet and was already over 15 mins late and they had another person they claimed they could not tie up.. I could see if the mall was super busy but they had no other customers in the store. every time I go in there I feel like no one wants to help me. If you dont look like you have money they dont even bother will bring my business else where. Dillards and Macy always helps me with no problem.

Went inside this Sephora today being new to Louisiana. Despite poor reviews, I am a beauty insider and I loved the sephora in jacksonville. Today? My experience was just like I expected it to be from going into a sephora. Almost every person I walked by offered help and after not being able to find what I was looking for I went back to the light skin girl, with curly, blonde hair (sorry I didnt get her name 😔) BUT she was so informative, told me things I would have never recognized, showed me other products, I told her I was new to the area and she told me about things going on locally. She was so helpful, I plan to get back on my routine of going to sephora every two weeks! I currently live in Kenner and this was a little bit of a drive for me, but worth it with such great costumer service where most industries lack.

Their return policy is very convenient and sales people super helpful.

Went into sephora at the lake side mall and absolutely loved my expierence there! I was approached several times and asked if I needed help. I was approached by a young lady named Bre and finally gave in and allowed her to help me. She was a absolute doll ! She not only sold me the products but she gave me a mini tutorial on how to properly use it. I also work in the beauty industry and its nice when everyone in the store is consistent on their specials, whats new, and the proper application of the product . I loved my time there with Bre & appreciated her patience with me. I can tell she had a true passion for make up and was extremely helpful ! I will be back just to buy more make up from her! ;) Thanks a bunch !

Good luck trying to make an appointment to get your make up done early on a Tuesday! Not a weekend or Mardi Gras or New Years Eve just a regular old Tuesday! For the amount of ppl that work there and consistently hound you while youre in ther youd think there would be enough staff to get that done!

I will never step foot in this store again. I went to the location inside lakeside mall today and was ignored buy 4 different people. I was looking around for a specific lipstick and asked this lady did she work there and of course she said yes and walked away before I could even ask her a question. How can you make that much eye contact with someone and not help them.

I called five times at 6:30 on a Saturday and didnt get a single answer. Guess they dont want my business🐸☕
