The best store, literally. The best part is their bakery and fruit samples, Yum. Always come here for groceries. Very friendly staff and helpful and I love the option of checking out your items yourself.

They are closing my favorite Stop & Shop at the Loop in Methuen MA?? I went there yesterday (Feb. 27, 2020) and there are big signs on the doors that this store is closing. No more rotisserie chicken salad, Boars Head deli meats and other food items I cant find at the other markets in my area. Even though they have other locations in my area, this was the most convenient and in a location that I frequently visit. Oh well! Times are a changing.

Large clean store but the prices are higher than Market Basket

Love grocery shopping here, best fresh veg and fruits. I love there prices the do have great deals.and there bakery department nice and clean.

The people here are great, especially the pharmacy staff. I do wish that the pharmacy had better hours, though, particularly on weekends. It can be really convenient to combine picking up a medicine with a grocery run, but theyre often closed when in shopping for groceries. Also would be nice if this store had an eating area like several other stores in the area do.

I like it because its quiet. Market Basket wins on price 85% of the time, no doubt, but youll spend 8x more time dealing with other people being in the way or standing in line. And sometimes I do find unique items here. Its clean, the staff friendly, and I like those Check-It hand scanners.

Its clean, well stocked and never crowded. Much better shopping experience than Market Basket IMO.

I go for the fruits & Books. The fruits are fresh the books are so cheap. Good costumer service. Pretty Clean Shopping Market. 👍👌😊

The store is extremely well kept and they do carry almost anything youd need. That being said, if youre not into using coupons, double coupons and rewards.You WILL be paying top dollar.Very expensive store, unless you have a routine to follow. Its definitely not the grocery store you want to stop into for a quick grocery shopping spree.

Bit pricier than market basket. But I love that they offer nice variety at the salad bar and Jamaican food items.. they also have western union and citizen bank

Prices are now actually very reasonable versus Market Basket. Items that I used to hate getting here, like deli meat, actually are better quality for the price than Market Basket if you stick with store brand. I find that on weeks I can not use items that participate on gas points, you are getting a bill roughly in line with MB or on weeks that I can use these items, I am getting a lower bill once I book what I save at the pump as a reduction to my grocery bill. However, there are some items that I like to buy that are available at other S&Ses but I can not find at this location. The perishables are much better in quality than the Market Basket down the street. Service is very good, and theres self checkout so that you can usually get out of the door in a quick manner if theres a line and you only want to purchase a few items.

Most beautiful gorgeous Dominican looking girl helped me find some bread and and meat and cheese and even taught me how to make my very first sandwich. Erika was her name. Were now married.Oh yea, the stores whatever too I guess yea cool store.

The company which manage this bussines lost touch with new way of doing business

If youre going there for meat dont even bother wasting your time. Went in for a simple steak to make for dinner and left empty handed. By far the worst meat selection for stores in this area.

The store gets an A-Plus for cleanliness. In contrast, I wish their prices were better. Their competitors do have lower prices, but if your priority is cleanliness, than this is the store for you.

Was a market basket shopper for years, will never go back, after shopping @ Stop & Shop the quality of products is far better, the prices are equal to MB sale prices are always good & the meat selection is Way better, we Love S&S our market, everyone there is pleasant, store is our only weekly stop & shop, bakery is awesome, florist dept. is beautiful, deli is delicious!

Prices too high for bad quality food. Fruit and veg went bad after just a day or two.

Would be nice if the it smelled alot better in the store! My mother when she came home from grocery shopping there, told me she doesnt want to go back because the store has a funky odor and some of the employees have questionable hygienic practices. She told me one young lady in particular reeked so badly of B.O. that she gagged and almost lost her breakfast. My mother worked at a grocery store (DeMoulas on Essex Street in Lawrence, to be exact before retiring in 06.)for over 40 years and never once in all her years had she any complaints in that store. The prices are not the greatest either she told me. From here on she will grocery shop at Aldis and Wholefoods. Try harder, and business just might pick up a little better. Im sorry but l know Stop & Shop can do better! They were at one time a very good store to shop at and the employees always took pride in their hygiene and appearance and the store was alot cleaner and they didnt have employees blocking the aisles stocking shelves!

When they went on strike, I was shocked....Did not know where to go. It messed up my schedule!! I waited for several days, hoping they would open. They didnt.... I started grocery shopping at BJs, and I LOVE it! I will never go back to Stop & Shop!!!!

I was in the store using the restroom when I noticed a Stop and Shop employee urinate and walk right past me without washing his hands. I followed him to see where he worked -- the seafood department. I notified the store manager immediately, and to his credit seemed to address the problem with the employee.

More expensive than Market Basket for the same products. They have good bogo sales that are worth the visit, but get the sale item and do shopping elsewhere.

25 minutes in ther customer service line with one person working. There were two people ahead of ne, sho they have waited longer than I have.

Appears clean and shelves are stocked.Ive never had a great experience here. I always feel that life is depressing after leaving this store.Employees generally have no idea where anything else. There is often only one or two cashiers, regardless of how long the lines are.Managers seem to be on top of customer service: always attentive when I have an issue.Though the employees at the Customer Service desk dont like to be bothered.Advice: dont buy ice cream because it will have melted by the time you get through the check-out line.

Went to do a deal here before heading into work since it was a one day only deal. After scannimg all items I Went to use a coupon but they denied me from using it because it said it was also redeemable at their competitive store. At the top of the coupon it says its a manufacturer coupon, not STORE coupon. Before turning someone down they should really educate the managers and staff of the differences between store coupon and manufacturer coupon. Ive heard nightmares and seen how he is with other couponers but always thought hey there might be something else to whats going on and why.. today I encountered Jim Goodwin and witnessed it for myself today. He took a glance at my coupon and said no because its redeemable at another store.. it did not say redeem only at a certain store. He didnt bother to speak to me directly, instead he had 2 cashiers/associates pass the information back and forth like I was not even worth his time. I do my regular shopping there. Only place I go to since moving here from a different state. I tell ya, never again!! Id rather go else where for my daily essentials.

Dont like being watched while Im at the register its helpful if you will help the customers and wipe down the scanning table so its easier to scan the groceries but standing there and watching and not doing anything I give you a half a star

Great place for quick shopping. Lines are short, or none at all. More pricy than Market Basket on the next plaza, but if you in a hurry its your place.

It was great. I only going in for a few things but I found some really good deals.

Best S and S in the chain. Especially the pharmacy and the Deli.

Only one check-out person for whole store. Pharmacy hours changed. Could have let me know when they sent email that scrip was ready.

This is the third time I have been here in the middle of the day and there was only one register open. When I asked them to open another, they told me they could not request help. Then they said go to register 8, they had just finished with their customer even though they did not have their light on. They said they were not open. I told them that the only open register had sent me there. They were not happy about having 2 more customers.I had been thru that 2 other times in the last couple of weeks.We will not be shopping there anymore. I will drive the 6 miles to the Market Basket in Haverhill!

Although the store closes at 10 PM the bakery closes at 8 PM. It would be nice if that was listed.

I love this Stop and Shop. Because theres a Market Basket a couple stores down, its always clean and quiet here. I dont really notice much of a price difference, and its definitely worth it to be able to get in and out without fighting through crowds when I get out of work.

Prices r a lil up but its ok ....pretty racist employees ....n deli smells like olddd fish.(rotten food.

Been going there for over 20 years. Its clean and usually has what I need but overpriced and unfriendly staff. Not all the staff but the majority of them. Been shopping more at Market Basket lately.

Huge store, no fish department. Bakery is good, quite store.

The stop & Shop brand is a great more affordable alternative to well known brands

Bought beautiful floral arrangement here today, and some yummy muffins.

Super stop and shop has a gift card kiosk. I just wish that there were more variety to the cards selections (i.e. local business gift cards) and that the card limit should be at least $10, when you have at least 3 of the same gift cards with that amount in bulk.

The organisation was off, we were looking for mac and cheese so we went to the pasta isle but it wasnt there so I had to ask for help, turned out to be in the beans section.

Good place when items are on sale.

This store is permanently closed as of February 28, 2020. I have submitted it to Google to be removed but it is still pending. Stop & Shop should remove it from Google Maps instead of keeping it up and confusing people.

Its a newer store and doesnt seem to be high volume. The registers had no lines when I was shopping there.

This my go to store when I decide to do food shopping. Ample room, self checkout( sometimes crowded) and pastries / coffee.

The staff arent always friendly but the store is big and never busy.

Typical Stop and Shop. I feel like if this place was next to a good market basket theyd go out of business, but fortunately for them the market basket next door is possibly the worst mb i have ever been in. the nice thing about this store is that Ive never seen it crowded.

Western Union, Fruit & Salad Bar, Specials, U find lots of things there to buy, to eat, for a Party, for certain occasions, Recycleables place for Bottles & Cans, its in a separate department.

Used to be nice but now they stock groceries during the day making it very unpleasant to shop here.

Overpriced compare to Market Basket, but there salad bar was excellent.
