BEWARE! I had a horrible experience at the Fortunoff Backyard Store in Woodbridge, NJ. Sal, the sales guy, was totally unprofessional, dishonest, and inappropriate in his dealings with me. After a lot of nonsense working with creepy Sal, I decided to cancel my order and called to do so. Sal told me you are all set. Next day, the patio set gets delivered! It was just left at my house. No phone call. Getting my refund taken care of took many phone calls. The store manager, John, was NOT helpful. I feel it may have been his first day of work the way I was handled. Upper management, who I spoke to with my complaint, gave me no sense of caring. I would highly suggest looking for another store for your patio furniture. I have no idea how this store stays in business.*One star because I couldnt post with zero.

Fortunoff in general is a just a terrible company. Buy your patio furniture online or literally anywhere else. This place have no concept of organization and can never get back to you in a reasonable amount of time. The employees seem stressed out like they will try their best to help you but the management wont let them help you. Clearly it is just a matter of it being a poorly run company. Disappointed that it has gone downhill so much.

Although the Metuchen store on Rt 1 has a large display of furniture, their deliverable inventory is 0. Prior to placing the order we were told the delivery date would be 10 days out. After placing the non-refundable order we were given a delivery date of 8/16, 3 weeks after the purchase date. On 8/2 we received a delivery update now saying the delivery would be after 8/29, 5 weeks out.Completely dissatisfied with Fortunoff and this transaction and feel we were lied to in order to get the non-refundable order placed.I will NOT recommend this location to anyone.

We were looking for a patio dining set. After visiting the store, we purchased a set on March 26, 2021. We were promised delivery on May 15. Fortunoff later sent an email document promising. A May 28 delivery. On May 28 we received 2 chairs. Checking back with them they promised a delivery of everything on June 2. On June 2nd we received a partial order. Still missing cushions and the umbrella. Went to the store again on June 5 and found that the umbrella was in their store with our name on the box. Still no cushions. Never again.

I had a great experience choosing and purchasing my new patio furniture at Fortunoffs. I described what I was looking for and the dimensions of my patio and the salesman showed me lots of options. I was able to find just the right sofa, lounge chair, table and bench for my patio and yard. They had a great selection. They shrink-wrapped it and had it ready for pickup on time. I am so happy with my purchase and to be ready for the coming spring and summer! I would highly recommend them for your outdoor furniture needs.

Our shopping experience was wonderful. Our delivery experience has been horrible. On our delivery date the guys showed up right on time but our table and chairs weren’t there. They said they are on another truck and would be arriving later. When nothing arrives I call the store. They inform me that they don’t know why the chairs weren’t delivered but the table has been backordered now until July. We have already waited two months for the set. So after taking a day off of work I’m left with chair cushions and an umbrella but nothing to sit on or eat at. I would have expected better customer service. Really disappointing!

The salesperson we had, John, was very warm and friendly. He greeted us and then directed us toward what we were looking for. He gave us several options and ideas to pick from. We were worried about the long delivery wait but he looked it up and quelled our fears. We left very happy with our purchase.

He also was low pressure and never rushed us. Large selection of anything backyard !!! .A must place to shop if you are updating your backyard.

Large selection of what appears to be quality outdoor furniture. Priced higher than I wanted to spend. Wife and I walked around the entire store, never approached by any staff member-not even a Hi Im Joe, is f theres anything I can do just let me know.. I felt like I was a invisible. BTW-there were no other customers present.

We recently purchased patio furniture from the Metuchen, NJ Fortunoff Backyard Store (Route 1, West Kelly Street) to replace our furniture that was (unfortunately) destroyed by a fallen tree. Mecca was fantastic in helping us find the perfect set that worked for us and our budget. We had a very positive experience shopping at this store and look forward to receiving and enjoying our new set come this Spring!

Mary and Marge were both great and spent considerable time showing us many options that met our needs. Mary didn’t have the set that we decided on but she put in the extra effort to find the set at another Back Yard store. We then met with Marge who was able to complete our sale. We would definitely deal with Mary and Marge for future patio needs.

We ordered a set of 4 chairs and fireplace in December 2020. Only 2 chairs and fireplace were delivered in March2021, after us calling the store in Woodbridge NJ. When we kept on calling for the other 2 chairs, we were told they will come in April first week, then we were told April end and now we are told may 2021. This is the worst store to buy a peoduct if you are expediting timely and full delivery of the product. Please do not buy from this store.

We were looking for an outdoor accessory for weeks and couldn’t find it anywhere. We spotted this store, went in and there is was. A whole table of them!The staff was super friendly and the price was GREAT! Got something on sale for $50 that was originally $169!!!So happy we found this location. We will be back again.

This company as a whole is horrendously mismanaged. David Yaeger is a terrible communicator and I do not understand how their company is still standing with the extreme lack of consistency and quality training. It baffles me that anyone would spend money here.

The salesperson was very customer service oriented. When I first called I was put on hold while she wrapped up with another customer. I eventually hung up because I didn’t feel like waiting and wasn’t sure that I was interested in making a purchase yet. I was surprised when the store called me back a few minutes later! I asked about furniture and requested a price match to another store. Three other Fortunoff Backyard Stores that I had called previously were unwilling to honor the lower price. The sales associate at this location was super pleasant while investigating the lower price. She honored it without hesitation and I ended up buying even more furniture pieces than I had initially planned. Finally, the sales person worked with me to try to secure the furniture from the warehouse in a timely manner to meet my goal of furnishing the patio before I hosted company at my house.

Marc was amazing!! He took care of us the second we walked in, he answered all our questions and helped us pick out our table set.

I have several items from their store for 3 years now. Everything is holding up amazingly well. Color on the cushions has not faded. I keep it covered in the winter but most of the summer they are out in the blazing sun and often I don’t cover them if it rains. They dry out quickly and so far no issues. There was a manufacturing defect on my table and chairs where the finish started peeling. They took care of it and replaced the whole set no problem. Well worth the money spent.

We were redoing our backyard and were interested in patio furniture sets and as a typical cost conscious family visited the store in Metuchin to get ideas within our budget. We were greeted and helped by Marc Osborne and also had the good fortune to meet David Yeager, who is a director for Fortunoff and happened to be visiting the location. Both were extremely helpful and patient as we moved from one end of the store to the other going back and forth on numerous designs. Marc was extremely professional and made us feel comfortable throughout the process, and eagerly addressed all our concerns. We were especially impressed with David’s wealth of knowledge on a multitude of products, who not only took the time to educate us l, but to help us add some flavor and flair to our vision of our newly renovated backyard. Thank you David and Marc for making this experience so pleasurable, and helping us realize our vision. I would recommend Fortunoff to anyone who’s interested in furnishing their homes and in particular this location... and if your lucky enough to run in to David on your visit as we were, introduce yourselves and take a seat and I promise you will have an incredible experience and you will leave with a sense of gratitude and accomplishment.

Good fancy furniture for the back yard

Bought a large patio set online and needed an umbrella stand as that was not included in the order. Wish I had bought the entire order from the store. They would have known the stand wasn’t on the order. Nice people that knew what they were talking about. Highly recommended.

My family knew Louie Fortunoff, who sadly was taken too soon. I loved the store when it sold jewelry, and my mother always got her outdoor furniture from Fortunoff. There was no other place you’d go to on Long Island, and we are lucky to have it here in New Jersey. Always quality, always special.

Marc was excellent and very helpful. He spent as much time as needed to assist us in purchasing the the perfect backyard set for our home. I would highly recommend him and the menlo store and plan on using them in the future for any of our outdoor furniture needs.

The signs in the window all say clearance but the outdoor pillows are still forty bucks each and the chairs start at $500. I didnt realize Fortunoff cost a fortune. Lesson learned.

I needed a patio table and was having a lot of trouble finding one. Sarah was so helpful and went out of her way to help.I wasn’t making a large purchase, but she still took the time to look around and help me find what I needed.

On JUly 29, 2017 we purchased a patio outdoor set, with a 5 year Outdoor Ultimate Furniture Protection Plan. We have recently filed a claim using this warranty. The warranty company has said that Fortunoffs agent Joanne Pucciarella entered the type of warranty we have wrong into their system so therefore our claim is denied. I explained that I have the contract with the correct warranty on it. They explained only Fortunoffs could change the information in their system to contact them. So I did, I spoke with Mark, and Marge/Marjorie the manager. She was unprofessional in her words and said there was nothing she could do about it. Finally after us going back and forth she said email me the photos of what is wrong and Ill see what I can do. Now, I can not get in touch with her and no response back from the emails. This is no fault of my own. I did everything correct on my end. This is pure negligence on Fortunoffs behalf. Lucky for me my father is an attorney :)

Update - I am still waiting on my patio chair cushions for more than 3 months. They give date for delivery and keep pushing it by moth every single time.

Customer service here is unmatched! I highly recommend coming here to Woodbridge for your outdoor furniture needs.
