Im a board member of a condo project a few blocks from York. Frankly, I dont know what we would do without them. Manny, Allan, Mickey and crew have always done a bang up job for us. We recently had a gate that had been an issue for well over a year and been worked on by other handymen. York had it fixed and working perfectly in one service call at a reasonable price. Alex installed a brand new call box outside the front of our bldg. Great job. Great guy. And twice he returned for free immediately. The actual store is opened only Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.The office is always closed, so when I called to check if they are open and have the service I need, it went right to voicemail.Plus, it’s NOT open 24!When I went to duplicate a key the store was closed (exactly what I tried to avoid and that’s why I called first).

Wow, unbelievably great service would highly recommend this company to anybody. Call them about a lockout for a car need to be at the airport ind an hour and a half.. I did not even tell the dispatcher that I just told him I was in a hurry cuz they probably hear stories like that all the time. The dispatcher told me 30 to 40 minutes but he would do whatever he can to make it faster. Within 6 minutes I received a call from the technician said he would be there in 10 minutes. He showed up in 5. And he opened the vehicle in less than 2 minutes. Ive had some pretty terrible experiences with locksmith companies. They tell you one price they come out and charge something different tell you you need this you need that not at all. Very reasonable price didnt try all those sales gigs that most locksmith do. I had already mentally prepared myself for all the games and thought I was going to get screwed Basically in less than 20 minutes I was on my way.It was a great experience and feeling to realize that not all locksmith companies are scamsI would highly recommend anybody to call York lock and key especially on South Beach.

Recently moved. Google maps not updated, had to call to get new location (no sign in window of old location). Very limited parking in new, smaller location. Got what seemed like an unnecessary runaround trying to get copy of medeco key that they had installed. They claimed only the person listed on card, and they had to show up in person. What if we had terminated them? Probably an employee training issue, but it wasted quite a few minutes of my time.

I have been using them for the last 30 years. They are an excellent company. I highly recommend them.

Used them several times for many years and it saddens me to say that the service just hasnt been the same for a couple of years. Theres a new owner and a complete new staff that dont seem qualified nor happy to be there. Thats the vibe I get every time I call. My recent encounter was with Tony and Lisa. Always a run around and jacked up prices. I found a new locksmith, no bs, fair price and resolved my most recent problem in less than 1 hour.

Great and friendly service!! I brought in my personal safe and they immediately discovered the problem (broken key mechanism) and were able to break it open in less than 5 minutes. Plus they charged me less than the quote I got on the phone (quoted $55, only charged me $50). I was so happy as the other locksmith (Miami Beach Locksmith) wanted to charge me $150.... They unlocked my apartment for my hired dog walker who is not on the lease. My dog walker did not tell me and I found a receipt and called and they said my dog walker who I had just hired had an I.d with my address on it which i know now is a lie, After having a heartattack and deep interigation with the walker I am truly terrified knowing a person I barely know was able to pay a guy 60$ to unlock my door ..

This locksmith is the best, he change my locks to my apt the same night I called him. It was an emergency situation and he didnt give me a problem doing the job after my call to him. They overcharged for the work. For a lock that costs 30$ and work that is done in 15 min their prices are ridiculous. Charging $140
