FIRST ALL, FROM THE MOMENT YOU COME IN YOU FEEL IN A WONDERLAND PLACE FROM EITHER THE FAR EAST or INDIA or EUROPE ALL IN AN ARRAY OF GREAT DISPLAYS FROM VINTAGE TO UPSCALE ANTIQUES TO MODERN, COLORFUL AND UNIQUE ITEMS.MY 1st PURCHASE WAS A SET OF BAVARIAN DINNER PLATES.. THERE WERE ONLY 4 OF THEM, GORGEOUS & I TOOK THEM HOME.SINCE I KEPT GETTING COMPLIMENTS ABOUT MY UNSUAL, BUT VERY BEAUTIFUL PLATES EVERY TIME I DISPLAYED THEM, I HAD TO HAVE MORE, HE QUESTION WAS, IS IT POSSIBLE ??? SO I WENT BACK TO KAKAR HOUSE OF DESIGN AND OF COURSE THIS TIME MR ANIL KAKAR HIMSELF WAS THERE IN THE STORE & PERSONALLY TRACED THEM THRU ANOTHER VENDER SO I COULD HAVE AS MANY AS THEY COULD SUPPLY, ( I JUST REQUESTED 2 MORE).SINCE MY TIME THERE WAS SO WELL WORTH AND FELT LIKE I WAS AT HOME WITH SUCH A PERSONALIZE SERVICE, I KEPT GOING BACK FOR MORE. THE NEXT ITEM I PURCHASED WAS A “CUSTOM MADE BENCH” for the master bedroom DESIGNED BY ANIL &PERSONALIZED TO MY TASTE !THE FINAL RESULT IS GORGEOUS AND UNIQUE TO SAY THE LEAST. Drop everything and go to Kakar House of Design! This is an amazing place that is better than any Miami museum! One never knows what they will find. Everything is set up in proper groupings and you will want everything! Anils taste is exceptional and he is very helpful. I defy anyone to find a place like this in Miami! I would give it 10 stars, if offered.

An extraordinary shop with high design and eclectic furnishings, accessories, new and repurposed, antiques, art and perfectly restored pieces from around the world.The owner / operator is a well traveled, frequently published interior designer and many items are results of his trips to various pockets of the globe.Friendly staff, virtual walkthroughs + web shopping as well.There really is no place like this in Miami - definitely put this on your list for anything from small gifts and eclectic glassware to one of a kind lighting, furniture and interior design consultations. There is something for everyone here.

I have known and worked with Anil Kakar for over 8 years. He is an exceptional interior designer with impeccable taste. We have been honored that he has included our wallcovering designs in many of his interior design projects. He creates unique environments, reflecting each clients desires to live in extraordinary spaces. His showroom is a refection of his keen eye and world travels including stunning custom furniture, antiques, acccessories and fine art. I highly recommend you continuously pop in to see what new pieces he has discovered....I never leave empty handed.

I can lose hours and hours exploring Kakar House of Design’s store, it’s an amazing place, you never know what you’re gonna find! Friendly and knowledgable staff. I recently picked up some vintage shot glasses, hand blown, 1960’s American I believe, great to pull out at parties & at a great price. If gorgeous, original, vintage and sometimes quirky, is your thing then I can not recommend this store enough!

Lots of great furniture and home furnishings at Kakar. They have lots of free parking outfront. If youre an interior designer, then you have to check out this showroom!
