These bookstores are always great. This is no exception. Very comfortable surroundings in Miami. Unfortunately, it is located in the Shops at Sunset Place where there are only about 10 remaining stores open plus an AMC theater. Its like a ghost town. I hope the mall eventually comes back and Banes and Noble can be a busy place again.

A large two story wonderland of books. This place is wonderful and has a large inventory of great reads.

This is the best book store left. They have a huge Selection of books of every genre. You can sit and read books while you shop. The have a ton of mangas, loads of collectibles, funko pops, card game packs, board games, a big kids area full of books and fun. They also have one of the best magazine racks in town too. If you like books, cards games, and board games, you must visit this awesome bookstore.

Beware of the evil caps. Its not so much the cap fault as it is the cup itself is so flimsy it looses it tightness as soon as you grab it.Also they close way too early, in my opinion

Friendly and helpful staff, nice to walk-around and have a great selection of books at hand.

Going by all the new books that are out and showcased in B&N one wouldnt think a pandemic just happened which is heartening to see. The staff doesnt exactly seem outgoing or engaging whether on the floor or at the register which is this locations only blemish. I just dropped $103 on four books(!) so I obviously wasnt upset by the lack of customer service. Could have stayed here all day if I didnt fear I was going to spend $500!

Excellent place to relax and find books on any topic

I did visit on a typical summer day where it rained and there were so many drips coming through the ceiling that they had trash cans everywhere trying to collect the water and bits of falling ceiling tiles. Somehow none of the books were being damaged, they had exactly what I was looking for and service was great.

Very nice place to have a chill moment. Many books and has a second floor. They have a cafe on the second floor that also serves Starbucks items. I recommend the strawberry funnel frap.

Love Barnes & Noble the only place left quiet that you could sit down have a coffee and book

Went to enjoy a relaxing day at Starbucks and was harassed by the person on shift now. We moved the table to connect our laptops to the outlet and she asked us to move the table back so we moved it back. She then approached the table not maintaining a 6ft distance because she said we did not position the table correctly. She insisted we wear are masks at all times when we had not even removed them. The person behind us was sitting at the table with no mask while we were being attacked. She then said she did not have to let us sit in the Barnes and nobles because we weren’t purchasing customers when we were going to buy drinks and had been there for less then 30 seconds. We left and we will be calling the manager. She should be fired for insulting customers.

Nice pleasant and friendly environment. Plenty of food and drinks around in surrounding shops. The local Chief of Police is very friendly too.

I loved it. They move stuff so the top area where Starbucks is has fun books and entertainment, all cookbooks,travel, and business stuff is down the escalator.

Its full of books and games, its not crowded, its really a beautiful store inside. restroom extremely clean. Helpful staff. Worth the trip

Huge display of books and travel guides. From cooking to philosophy, from science to fiction for kids and for adults, some are real bagains. I always come out with some books or magazines in a B&N bag. But if you are a tourist (like me) take in account weight and volume in your travel luggage ! But enjoying a reading stop at the cafeteria is a plus.

Great selection of books with multiple different sections for any book needs. The Starbucks inside also adds to a nice book reading aesthetic.

All I can say its a book store inside Sunset Place, not much inside the mall. So if you visiting ok for a stroll maybe some shopping with the few store open. The book prices are a big to high, stick to Amazon.

I honestly never have issues at Barnes & Noble, no matter the location. This location in particular has a professional staff, who knows their job and can offer you recommendations based on what you are reading.Due to covid-19 facemasks and social distancing guidelines are still in effect. You might encounter low staffing because of it. So do not be surprised if a store clerk is not available right away. Be considerate.

Love taking my kid to Barnes&Nobles. Kids need to be surrounded just by books from time to time

Great selection, great environment, usually kinda pricey compared to online dealers. I love it though, you can sit down and read books or just buy them. You can buy boardgames and trinkets or even food (top floor).Talking is fine here though obviously dont shout. Its two floors and well organized. I go shopping here all the time.

They have a few of the aviation magazines my dad was looking for... not all of them as they used to.

I called and Carl was very helpful in locating some books for me. Picked up at store and he assisted me again and I appreciate his friendliness and professionalism.

I like this location of Barnes and Noble very much, although the only thing I do not like is that I have to pay for parking to come here and thats why I try to avoid it and not come.This an ample and clean location.On the second floor, they have the cafe and as far as for their products, it is the same quality and prices as we are used to on a Barnes and Noble.

The best in books

Perfect place to go and have a relaxing time. The kids area is awesome. However walking distance to electric stairs are to close to the kids area. Place layout is divided in 2 levels, for some reason I feel like this does not work all the time. But the book selection is good and they have a Starbucks well setup close to the front cashiers. The only inconvenience that comes along with location is that it is a paid parking place.

It is so nice in there. The books are affordable, and they sell more than just books. They have a place where you can sit and read. Theyre also very cooperative, because my sister lost her phone in there, but they had closed, and they said they would call and tell her if they found it, which they did. Big thumbs up 👍🏾

Great place to buy books, you can work or study at their cafe or I have even seen people sit on the floor in the book isles to read. It’s always exciting to walk into a Barnes & Noble.

A well organized Barnes and Noble. I needed help finding a book and staffer was nice enough to call in and let staffer downstairs wait for me to show me where to find my book. This store is usually quiet and not so busy, but then again I normally go during the week.

My go-to place for books, some quiet time reading, a coffee, and for cool gifts. Love their selection of games (boardgame etc). Barnes & Noble will always be this bibliophiles favorite...

Barnes and Noble needs to be customer friendly while providing a safe environment. This can be done.

Huge book score, very organized and clean, only problem with my visit was that as I was about to pay, one of the two cashiers left without notifying me that hell be back or have someone else help and left me standing and waiting for over 6 min until another cashier showed up to help. Other than that the visit was fine.

Best book store ever!

Great selection of childrens books and organized very well. I stopped by with my family after catching a quick movie and picked up a few items for my son and daughter. My son needs improvement with reading so I was able to find a large selection of education materials for 3rd grade reading comprehension. I would advise you to check prices because alot of the books were almost 2Xs the price compared to Amazon. Thats was my only problem and why I think many bookstores are closing. However, it was a great experience to pick up a book with my daughter whose in the first grade and read together in the story time area. I would return.

The dedication by the information/customer service desk was incredible. We disturbed her multiple times. Each time she seemed happy to help. Sunset needs more business. When I was younger that area was so popular.

Well organized but one of the workers was very rude.

I came to pick up and order that I had placed online. I had received confirmation of my payment but I came before they had collected the book. I figured it wouldn’t be a big deal. I was in a hurry, they were closing soon. Thought they would be able to just grab the book off the shelf and hand it over to me.However, their system still hadn’t even received my order so I was informed that I would have to wait up to an hour until the order came in. That was ridiculous since I had ALREADY PAID FOR A BOOK and they had it in stock. I had my order number and my confirmation email! They were able to figure it out and after several passive aggressive comments between employees, they found the book and gave it to me. I asked “am I good to go?” And the girl said yes, so I started walking out. Before I could leave, she started yelling at me to come back. Asked me if I had already paid, which was so upsetting since I had already shown my confirmation and order number about 4 times. She then told me they had to run it through the register around 4-5 times in a thoroughly rude manner. You could tell she was tired and perhaps not happy working there. No one delivered any service with a smile. I was pretty let down since I could’ve purchased this book on Amazon. I dont know what you want me to say. Who doesnt know about Barnes and Noble? Or their large selection of pretty much every new and recently published books? Or their Starbucks that they have in the middle of the second floor? Or the fact that all their books are organized by genre? Probably not many people if you ask me.

Great selection of books and magazines

Its a bookstore! Its rare that I give any book store or thrift store that sells books a little rating. This is a small Barnes & Noble so it doesnt have as many items that normal sized sections in Barnes & Noble would have but I would still visit it. The staff is always polite. I wish there was more seating but I know thats because they dont want lingerers or rather non-paying lingerers

Store is clean and organized. Staff is friendly and available to assist customers. Didnt find anything that I would say is negative, earning the five star rating. Even the coffee area, layout is organized and books easy to find.

The downside its that if you are taking young ones to get them to choose their books and get them on the habit of reading you do not provide sitting areas for us grandparents to wait sitting. Starbucks great but you cant see the children from there. Therefore you end up.losing business in the end as we hurry to leave.

Nice customer service. Its a nice quiet place to read your book there as well and theres a Starbucks. Two floors with an escalator in the middle. Very peaceful.

Normally I’d give any book store a great review but I could not be more upset. Today my favorite author released her book and I rushed from work to pick it up. The stores hours online state that this location is open till 10pmAt 9pm I arrive and the door was locked and the staff did not honor the hours online. This should be fixed so others don’t waste their time.

I love small independent bookstores usually, but i have to say that the recommendations that are scattered throughout the South Miami store are really helpful. I find new authors or subjects to experience, and sometimes to not pursue but not because reviews are negative. They kust clarify what the subject matter or writing styles is like and i can choose wheee my attention will be most piqued. Most of the open aired mall that anchors it has been ruined by cheaply developed lowbrow businesses but this stores elevates the soul.

This Barnes & Noble is inside Sunset Place located on the second floor adjacent 72nd St. You can park outside and enter the store on the first floor entrance which is located in the corner of Red Road and Sunset. Theres a Starbucks inside. There is handicap parking and accessibility.Comparing this store with the one on 88th (Kendall Drive) and Miracle Mile, its okay. The place is clean and books and merchandise is organized but it always feel as if its missing something. I guess its because every time Im looking for a specific book they never have it. Some staff with help you look for what youre looking for while others will simply point to the general area and walk away.They have a lovely kids area on the second floor with a small selection of Spanish books which we really like.There website says that they are having reading events for kids and when you show up, they tell you that they havent done that it years. That is disappointing!

As a chain, B&N have steadily gone downhill, but this location is particularly bad. Its always understaffed, so it is difficult to find help. Books which appear as in stock in their inventory system cannot be located, and the childrens section is poorly organized and often a mess.

Great bookstore and cafe. I love browsing here. The one on Miracle Mile is my favorite. Great bargains.

This barnes and noble is huge and they have a great selection of manga which i love! i also love their gaming section. (second floor, back wall, all the way to the right). they also have great sales both in the store and the cafe.i would literally live here if they let me. its so nice.

People in front desk must to have good training in customer service skills. The girl has good intention to explain products but seems like it was her first day working there. At the very first time she wanted to refer me to other person. Advice: train people before start the job.

Neat, quiet, organized. However, bathroom wasnt clean. Luckily there was soap but.....no paper towels. Either it didnt work or it was empty.

Great two story bookstore. Coffee shop. Huge selection. Need to pay for parking so that is a negative but this is an example of what bookstores should be. I notice they are now discounting some titles to be more competitive with online. They need to find a way to discount ALL titles without requiring a paid annual club membership.

Great place, I love all Barnes & Nobles but I believe they need more comfortable chairs to sit, they stores are huge & they only have 3 soft chairs a wooden bench & hard cafe chairs 😂

I enjoy the plethora of books & comics to be feel at home with. The Starbucks cafe on the second floor is a particular boost to this enjoyment. Besides Erika the store manager, telling people to get off the floor(which is more comfortable than their backless benches btw) is slightly preposterous, it doesnt kill from the experience since their are other uncomfortable but suitable places to read at. I always get a good read.

Call me old fashioned but I will always love to have my print in hand. The Starbucks upstairs has great food and the store as a whole is always well kept. Now if only it was easier to park in the area!

Its the only bookstore close to me and I live Sunny Isles. Too bad most stores are closing at Sunset Place, I hope they keep Barnes and Noble open. My son likes their kid section and I enjoy drinking my latte while checking out the literature, especially on rainy days.

The staff is roughly early twenties or so. Not helpful at all. They chit chat a lot in groups while ignoring customers. And even if you manage to get their attention, they are clueless on helping you find a book.

Large selection of books from both fiction and non-fiction, staff has always been receptive and kind, atmosphere is very relaxing and easy to focus in.

It is very convenient because since it has a Starbucks inside it, it allows for it to sit down and drink coffee. I love the fact that it has two floors and the service is pretty good.

This is a magical palace of books. I love its atmosphere and the people that work there are fantastic and friendly, always. This world needs more places like this.

I love to go here, get a coffee, and sit down at one of their many quiet tables throughout the store. Picture a library experience but you get to sample the very newest books. I have never asked for assistance here, but the staff is friendly enough. In my opinion, the role of the brick and mortar book store is to provide a better version of Amazon and Google Plays trial read concept on tablets. I dont recommend doing this, but as we all know Amazon usually offers lower pricing, so they dont seem to mind if you take pictures of the books you like, to research the competition later. Their prices are usually only marginally higher. However, if you enjoy the store, give them your business so we can continue to have a Barnes and Noble vs. another chain retail clothing store.

One of my favorite Barnes & Noble locations to go to, if not my top fave. Its large and spacious along with the fact that its clean and organized.
