Woooow. I think this might be my favorite nursery Ive ever been to. I loved a lot of the plants they offered and the prices are fair. The place itself is so beautiful with little sitting areas, a pond, rocks, and with all the plants it looks even more beautiful. I got two plants and a pot for $28. The employees are also very kind, pretty much everyone there. Will definitely come back again :)

Well organized, great supply of herbs, tropical plants, vines, butterfly attractors and some native plants and good collection of fruit trees, as well as fertilizers and pots . All is beautifully arranged. Helpful staff.

7 years and counting!! A+++ This company is amazing, they have ALWAYS provided an incredible service! Weve been using Galloway Farm and Nursery for years for most of our contracting jobs, investment properties and our own homes. In the last 2 to 3 years the gentleman Manny has been of great service, hes gone above and beyond with our orders always calling us to let us know when pots, plants arrive or even fountains. Not only does he take really good care of us but also does installations and has installed plenty of the orders weve made, Jaime is also a great employee and always find the plants we need. At our last job Manny and Alex did an outstanding job, extremely clean, professional and fast. These guys mean business and try are great at what they do. Thank you all, we will continue using Galloway for years to come.

We love Galloway Farm and Nursery they are one of the best if not the best nurseries in South Florida. Weve been using their delivery and planting services for years for contractor jobs, landscape installations, landscape maintenance, bulk rock and sand deliveries, indoor and outdoor installations and so much more! Clearly the people complaining dont understand how nurseries work and how these employees are out in the heat and sun for a long part of the day. Ridiculous the people weve seen there giving the employees a hard time for literally nothing. We appreciate Alex, Manny and Jaime for all their amqzing and professional deliveries over the years, thank you!

Love this place, the people complaining clearly seem to be those stuck up problematic type. Weve gotten service installs by Galloway Nursery for various businesses for years withouth a problems, when there has been one they have always solved it quickly and professionally. The employees have always been great with us, from loading bags of rocks and mulch to selecting the best plants and sending the guys for an install. Thank you Galloway! We can always count with you for anything plants and landscape in Miami. 💯👍

Beautiful plants and flowers

This was my first time at a nursery and I was highly impressed overall. I went with my three year old whom loves butterflies. We currently have quite a few milkweeds in our garden and were looking to expand into other butterfly host plants.Ariel and Mike were both phenomenal. I cannot emphasize enough how AMAZING they both were. They took the time to find out which plant would be best for us and explain how to properly grow and nurture it. We ended up purchasing a 1 gallon Passiflora Foetida with potting mix, clay plastic saucer and base. Upon recommendation we also purchased a tomato cage so that the plant has room to grow and expand.Most importantly I was not the only one who had a great experience. My toddler was beyond happy and loved every minute we were there. In the car ride home she could not stop talking about how much she loved all the flowers and plants. She also kept mentioning Ariel and Mike (they were that memorable and passionate about their work).

They sell high quality plants, but little pricey when compared to other nurseries around. They sell clay pots and give you 20% off...., but when compare prices with retail stores such as Homedepot or Lowes... the price is almost double of the retail stores...

I went there yesterday for something specific. But when I got there I had to explore all the cool stuff they have since it was my first visit. I met Mike who is awesome! He answered all my questions & is really nice. Mike is very knowledgeable & explained things in a way that is easy to understand. I wasnt making an extravagant purchase due to a limited budget but that did not stop him from doing everything he could to set me up for success. I really appreciate the time he took to help & I will definitely be back! I highly recommend checking this place out.

Galloway Farm Nursery is the absolute best place if you are looking for a premium business to buy your plants. The big chain stores are OK, although there are times that I noticed poorly maintained plants at those stores.This is NOT the case at Galloway Farm. They have an astounding variety of plants, shrubs, soil, decorations, and sod. If you dont see it, they will gladly do their best to special order your request and notify you when it has arrived.The plants at this nursery are well-cared for (watered, fertilized, etc.). The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. They can make recommendations for plants to choose for your garden, and how to take care of your purchases.I highly recommend Galloway Farm for your nursery needs - I have been a customer for over 30 years.UPDATE: 2/19/21 I went today to get suggestions on house plants. They were so helpful recommending low light plants that are easy to care for. I was especially grateful that the staff all wear masks and require patons to do the same to protect everyone during the pandemic.I was pleased with my purchase and the recommendation from the staff.

Today was my second trip to Galloway Farm and its an excellent nursery. Very cool layout, wide selection and knowledgeable staff. I purchase Milkweed from Galloway, as they do not use any insecticides on the plants, making them Caterpillar safe. Ive fed my Monarch Butterfly Caterpillars on the Galloway Farm Milkweed and they feed ferociously and have yielded gorgeous Monarchs.I also picked up a really cool pot and a Begonia for the house. Like I said, very wide selection to choose from. I was assisted by Mike and he shared a wealth of info with me, took his time to walk me around the nursery and made me feel like a valued customer even though its my second time and I was only spending $30 or so... I will be returning no doubt, as a single Monarch Caterpillar can consume an entire Milkweed plant in the 2 weeks or so that it take to enter Chrysalis and Metamorphosis into a Butterfly (which my wife and I then release).Cool place, friendly people, definitely worth checking out.

We have shopped here for over three years so its time to give them a positive review.The nursery is beautifully laid out with lush foliage and all types of healthy vibrant shrubs and flowering plants.The nursery is very well maintained and the walkways and ponds are just so beautiful.The staff are knowledgeable and will help you pick the right plant or flowers for your home .We buy all our plants here. When to Galloway because they are one of the few nurseries that does catty a good selection of citrus trees. We were assisted and received advice from Mike, he was great! Rare to find someone with his knowledge and since of customer care. I highly recommend Galloway to anyone that wants quality tree and plants.

Walked into Galloway Farm to look for some beautiful plants, and met Mike who gave us the most insightful tour of the entire nursery. They had such a great variety and the best botany experience Ive ever had. Absolutely love this place, it’s beautiful! The staff are nice and helpful but I feel for em, I’ve witnessed a few entitled customers be rude to them without cause. They dealt with it as well as they could though.Most importantly, good variety! They usually have the plant I came in looking for and if not I always leave with a nice surprise find.

First impression: This place-in a good way-really made me feel like I have a lot to learn about plants. Their young staff is very knowledgeable, helpful, & not rude (I hope theyre nice over the phone as well). They provide information about every plant in their nursery and the conditions that they need to survive. I was fascinated by all their small pots of beautiful flowers near their entrance while I was attended to, & the ones out back too. The smell of their lavender plants near the register almost drew me to buy one. Their prices are reasonable and I received an extra discount which I completely didnt expect. If youre used to giving your wife, or lady a bouquet of flowers 💐, from say, a guy selling in the city. Why not try something new and give her a beautiful floret plant in blossom from this nursery? Youll show her how much you really appreciate her, & youll learn something new along the way. When she asks you what plant is it? Express it with confidence. Horticulture is a lost;but, not long lost art, especially when you make it your own.

Let me begin by saying that I have been on the hunt for a local nursery full of quality plants & people who know what they are doing. I am a Master Gardner helping swap out my parents landscaping with a beautiful but edible landscaping. With this in mind, I visited Galloway Farm Nursery on a whim & it didnt meet my expectations-- it EXCEEDED them!Mike, the horticulturalist there, answered every single one of my questions & found plants to help serve all the needs I had walking in there. Was super sweet, patient & listened, which is rare in Miami, lol. He did an amazing job helping me find what would work best & knew exactly what he was talking about. I learned a lot!! Besides there being really unique types of fruiting trees and edible plants/herbs, there were some really beautiful landscaping non-edible plants there too!Im probably going back again this week, because Im obsessed!!

These people love what they do. I had been looking for a real nursery since I moved to Miami, not a Home Depot or a place that’s trying to look cool, but a place with plant nerds. There aren’t many Mom and Pop nurseries to begin with. Literally a breath of fresh air. Adorable, lots of variety and knowledgeable staff.

I grew up in South Miami so I know of this nursery very well. So on this trip when I came to visit my sister who lives only 3 minutes away at the light of their under past on the same side of the street of the nursery. And my parents who still lives in the area whom I decided to stop by to purchase plants for their home. And when I did find a few plants that I decided to purchase, I went to the area to pay. Keep in that there is only one register with one cashier. This older blonde haired lady look at me with such disdained as she helped another customer. As I stood in the line waiting another young gentleman informed me that I could put my plants in a specific area while I was waited to pay. She looks over her shoulder and goes oh yeah! As she finished helping the other customer she then proceeds to walk away from the register and purchasing area. My you I am standing there in plain view, she comes back in the area and gets a brown bag for tree and walks away again. Never saying a word to me, not even I will be with you in moment or I will be right back. Then I see her go and get a wagon and is having another worker put plants on the cart . After waiting for over 5-7 minutes for her return. I decided that my business was unwanted and left the plants there and walked off right past her and the other employee and said THANK YOU for your service. She look stun and shock by my statement, but she knew my reasoning. And I proceed to my car where I drove off.I am a African American woman, and I do BELIEVE that this had to do with RACE with her!! I will NEVER say it was about that for company, because I know that my sister and her husband has purchased from them before. I had money spend thereI was not looking anything free! What I do know is that you should put a GOOD representation of your company that greets patrons out front and at your register area. Because people like her can really tarnish you company and brand.I will never enter your business again, and will be passing the word around.

Very knowledgeable staff with a great variety of plants. What I like is that its close to home and they also offer home delivery and services.

While I was going to come here and write a good review, after a few days of having there plants in my home I am incredibly reluctant to do so. Let me start by saying that writing this review is hard for me because the staff is absolutely incredible but alas, their plants, not so much. I brought 3 of their plants into my home jungle thrilled for the additions but after a few days, I had the WORST outbreak of bugs that I have ever seen and after trying everything to save the plants and spending almost triple the initial cost of them to do so I still wasn’t able to recover them. I can honestly say that I will never spend my money at this shop again after this experience and I recommend that you don’t either.

I went for the first time to get some advice on a dying Pothos. I was nervous because I hadn’t purchased it there but Mike, the horticulturist, came up and introduced himself. He watered my plant and gave me advice on how to better take care of it. Then he showed my partner and I a Pothos he has was proud of. We then asked about the carnivorous plants and he showed us a few options as well as told us the best methods for taking care of them.The gentleman at check out also gave us some advice for caring for our new plants. Customer service was amazing and Mike is obviously in the right industry.Thank you Galloway Nurseries

I come here from time to time for milkweed. They dont always have a great selection but this time they were covered with aphids and the plants were sickly looking. The owners are rude. I wish there was an alternative.

I really enjoy that they offer seasonal herbs and vegetables, as well as a vast array of information regarding the soil composure and requirements of each plant.The staff is attentive and will feel like family in a couple of visits.Will recommend for a cheaper, friendlier, and more outdoorsy alternative to the traditional big-box home superstores.

I am very happy with their selection and price. Of course, you will pay a little more but its worth it to not have to drive to HOMESTEAD! They have everything you need to start or maintain a butterfly garden.

Nobody helps you, the staff is not friendly, and when you go to pay you have to wait a long time and when the cashier finally arrives he takes care of whoever he wants, it does not matter if you are first in line, and when you mention it, He looks at you badly and continues to serve whoever he wants.

TERRIBLE PLACE!!! Don’t come here!! It is being the worst experience ever. There is a very little staff that’s very friendly but the owner Patricia has no skills with customer service, very arrogant and unpleasant. One of the workers Jaime, accused us of not letting him talk on the phone for personal matters when asked a question he is beyond lack of knowledge of respect, not just to a client, but to a woman. This place is a truly nightmare. I have wasted two ours of my time here looking for the things I needed it by my self, and walked away canceling a large order of items due to their lack of professionalism. Hope there was an option for no stars at all!

I am really disappointed in Galloways staff. Especially the owner who has taken over since her fathers passing. This place does have a lovely selection of plants, but definately at a higher price then you will find at other nurseries. We have been buying here for years, but I think we will never go again. She was so rude to us this past weekend when we went looking for jasmine trees. We asked her about a particular tree on the grounds and she stomped over there, told us the name of the tree and said just look around! and walked away upset. I also called during the week to get some info for some hedges and trees for a partially shaded area and they kept me on hold for over 5 minutes each time I called (I called about 4 times). She told me in an angry tone, that I was going to have to go over there because she didnt have time to talk to me over the phone. I told her I had already been over there the day before and she didnt have time either for us. Shes rude, rude, rude!

I had an excellent experience here, I stopped by for a specific plant and I got out with 10 different types of plants. Alberto took care of me, he explained and answered all of my questions and doubts, he is a very nice person which take good care of the costumers. Definitely recommend this place and Ill come back.

BUYER BEWARE!! Plants purchased died within 2 weeks. When I called to discuss my concerns the staffer was snarky and rude and stated it was my problem they died. Before I could ask a follow up question she hung up on me. For the same plant Walmart offers a 90 day echange/replacement . Buying local from this small business was a HUGE MISTAKE!

Im a regular because of the friendly atmosphere, great service and central location; if you ask questions they have a trove of knowledge about getting your plants off to a great start. Also, if you have an orchid thats not doing so well, bring it in and ask to see the Orchid doctor 8)

I bought a birdbath here two years ago, at the time I understood if it disappointed me I could come back to make it right. We started it up this week and the mechanics would not work. I called and asked if I could bring it in. I was not embraced with enthusiasm. I was not expecting that. I will bring it in and hope for the best.

This shop has terrible customer service. I just called, not realizing the store had closed moments ago -- despite this, a woman picked up the phone -- was friendly at first but when I pressed for more information on the selection of plants I was looking for the woman said that the shop was closed and she wouldnt describe anything further. I commented that I was surprised she answered the phone if she wasnt able to make time to discuss. She then said, Oh, I just LOVE your attitude -- youre SO Miami with that, youre probably a terrible driver too. And then hung up on me. Lol, what??This was an unprofessional and frankly, very silly and immature reaction. Galloway Farm Nursery will not be getting my business.
