Extremly poor service, I asked a question to a salesguy on the guitar stand, he answered me in spanish which is my native language, that was pretty nice, after looking up for several minutes I came back again to ask a question in english and he said in an extremly rude way Spanish spanish, we just spoke in spanish a few minutes ago!. First off, please forgive me if I forgot we both speak spanish, I was very distracted looking at all the nice gear, second, if I want to practice my english let me do so. A kid was testing an amp (I know it{s very likely the young guy just wanted to play for a while and was not actually considering to buy the $600.00 piece of equipment, however that should be a given, I did that a lot when I was 16) and 2 staff members told him in a very rude manner to stop testing it, to buy it and keep playing at home.
Customer service is not dead…at least here. Recently purchased a drum set at the Dolphin Mall location, and an inventory mistake resulted in me getting the wrong set. The General Manager - Mike, and drum tech Gabriela, made it right, and took good care of me as a customer. This kind of service goes a long, long way in creating loyalty, more than that - earning it. I quickly came today (Sunday) at 5:10 after leaving my rehersal early to buy a emergency mouthpiece and reeds for a full day rehearsal I had the whole week. I get there and a worker tells me they’re closed. I told him it’s not even 6pm yet (which the time they close on Sundays) that it’s only 5:10 and that I had to buy something quick cause I wouldn’t have time the next few days. They still refused to let me in. I go through the inside of the mall to see if it was opened but they had already put the metal doors on. Countless of people were confused waiting outside as to why they were closed so early. Workers including manager were being extremely rude and refused to give us a reasoning.

This place is Disneyland for musicians. The selection is insanely broad, for most instruments. My son spent about an hour just trying out the assortment of keyboards and synths.

Manager Michael “B” assisted me in selecting a portable piano for my daughter. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. And although quite busy, he took a great deal of time assisting me and never appeared rushed or annoyed spending the time to help me make the best decision. I never felt pressured to buy a higher priced item or what he recommended verses the model I thought I wanted. I did, however, purchase a more expensive model than planned but felt it was the correct decision based on features and capabilities. His input and ability to answer the questions I had made the difference. He cares about his customer and it showed ensuring his store will be first on my list for future purchases. Thank you Michael!
We looked up Sam Ash when my wife got notice of an interview opportunity at a performing arts school. Arriving right at the zero hour when they were closing, we persuaded the person at the front that we needed to buy a keyboard in a hurry. After talking to the General Manager, Michael, he agreed to let us come inside even though they had already closed. Michael easily assessed what exactly we would need and performed a skillful demo. There was no question, it fit the bill perfectly. We were out the door with the new piece of equipment in no time. My wife was thrilled. She shared some pics of the keyboard we bought with her musician friends overseas. They were all impressed with the one we had purchased and agreed that we made the right decision. The next day we packed it up and headed to the interview. She killed it, got the gig, and couldn’t be happier. Big thanks to Michael and the team at Sam Ash for taking the extra time to help us out.

Felix was awesome and Sam Ash is a great place to shop.When I needed my guitar adjusted I took it back to Sam Ash and gustavo, the guitar technician, took the time to check out the guitar and made a few adjustments and it plays marvelously.Mike the manager was great. when I brought my guitar in for a check out he came by to find out what was going on and to make sure that I was totally happy with my purchase. He took the time to also provide some extremely valuable advice.Sam Ash works as a team, great merchandise and very competitive pricing. Its a complete store.it has everything. It needs just a constant improvement in customer service. Rugs smell bad. Entrances glass doors shady not clean so it gives a not welcoming ambient. A little bit of air freshener. The manager is the best. He doesnt know me but I seen him for years. But store needs a bit of touch up of upscale place.
Guitar Center is a better choice honestly, Dont order online and think youre going to pick up in the store eiyher, they have a third-party company that makes the process complex and long, and the staff are salesman first and not very customer friendly, they act like they just want your money, and could careless how you feel.

Gustavo the lutheir ripped me off. I brought in 3 guitars for a set up. He charged me $100. Thats the most Ive ever paid for a setup. He also gave me 9 gauge when I had picked out 11 daddario. I thought the guitar felt different but though maybe it was because I hadnt played in a while. It was only after I played my friends guitar that has a 12 gauge that I realized he definitely gave me the wrong gauge. He also charged me extra with one of the guitars saying that the jack was broken. I think he just said that abd to charge more rip me off again. He gave me his personal number so that I wouldnt have to go through sam ash again. Well Im never gonna hire him to set up my guitars again. We live and we learn. Dont trust Gustavo!!
Currently taking classes and it has been going better than amazing! Vince is a great instructor and very easy to get along with. If you’re trying to learn how to play guitar and/or ukulele, I couldn’t recommend him more. Originally I was not planning on taking more classes after my first four (that was included in a promotion for buying an instrument) and I have continued since because of how pleased I am by my experience so far.

Found an absolute steal of a deal online provided by Sam Ash. Contacted them and asked some info on the Axe I was inquiring about. They had every single answer, were a joy to talk too and were very knowledgeable on the product. Immediately bought the Axe after talking with them and they shipped it shortly after the purchase was finalized. Later on I realized I wouldnt be home to sign for the delivery. I called them to see if they could help reroute the delivery to a fedex drop off location and they went above and beyond to help me with this issue which solely was my problem, not theirs. Got there very late yesterday and I know what it is to want to go home after a long shift yet I was treated like they had just opened and had a whole day for me! I had a very tight window to be able to pick up the guitar I ordered because of my travels, but the staff was extremely accommodating! I tried to buy a piano three times in 3 different days, and every time I asked for it the staff didn’t pay attention, the didn’t even care. And the store was completely alone, horrible attitude.

While they in store inventory might not always be the best the quality of service you’ll get at the store is second to none. There are some employees that have been working there longer than I have been playing my instrument.

I really appreciate the time that the manager of pro audio (Raul) and the story manager (Mike) took to make sure I had a great experience at Sam Ash. After Raul rang me up, Mike turned away from what he was doing to spend a couple of minutes to ask me about the product I bought and to give it a good look and talk about its qualities. The best place to get musical instruments and accessories, keep in mind that they have variety of instruments and since the mall is crowd the store will also be crowd and youll have to wait for someone to help you with something, enough guitars for all tastes. The people there its helpful but prepare to be patient. Great guitar pedal selection. Also good guitar accessories (maybe Im biased because Im a guitarist). Also good quality audio cables and headphones.

I brought to the Sam Ash Music Store located at the Dolphin Mall a used keyboard for store credit. I was able to obtain a very good appraisal and was able to exchange a much practical and new keyboard. The store manager Mr. Michael B. was very helpful during and throughout the process. He gave me a very good deal. Michael Bs expertise in keyboards and advise during the entire process was evident. I left the store happy and satisfied with a good deal. My expectations with music stores were surpassed! I recommend Sam Ash Music Stores to anyone for whatever your musical needs are at every level from the novice musician to the professional musician.

I have been a client for more than 10 yrs to this store they always gave me the best service, but this Sunday i have a really bad experience i went with a couple of friends we want to try the guitars but this guy first told me that we cant grab the guitars our selves that he have to give it directly to us then told us that we cant try two guitars at a time because the store wasn’t a rehearsal space we play for 30 seg and ask us again if we were ready, i really don’t know what this guy think about buy a guitar but is not a 1 minute thing. i hope this can make a difference and bring back the service they always have.
Shout out to Chip in the guitar section. I actually went into the store about half hour before closing to look at some models I had seen online. Chip ended up staying with me past closing just answering my questions and helping me chose a guitar. He even kept a register open just so I could go home with the one I wanted.
This location is absolutely incredible! They were so hectic and busy in there and yet they still found time to treat me with such kindness and help me with everything I needed and more. The entire staff was very welcoming and encouraging and it showed throughout the store. Its a very friendly environment and I highly recommend shopping here!

Sam Ash claims that Music is our passion, not just our business. The Dolphin mall establishment determined that was a lie. This store is far more concerned about taking your money than they are with selling you a quality product. The staff shows little to no interest in serving customers. If music is your passion, buy from somewhere that is passionate about serving you. You will not find that here.

Ordered an item online. Recieved an email it was ready. Arrived at the store. Waited 25 minutes to recieve my product. Everyone was busy attending other customers. Staff member apologized, but it still was not worth the wait. Big establishment. Plenty of parking, but depending on the day of the week and time, you may walk a distance. Prices are average as compared to competitors. Located in a huge mall.

He was very chill, and relaxed, making my daughter a lot more chill and relaxed thus ensuring she was engaged and interested in what he was saying and doing. Looking forward to her next class!
This guy Chip was super chill, most people just try to sell you whatever and go back to their job. We had a great conversation, he found the right baritone uke I was looking for, in the perfect price range and even told me some cool tidbits about the instrument. Came home with exactly what I wanted.
The music attendant I had from the drum section was excellent very attentive and knowledgeable. Helped me purchase some bongos and order one bongo not in the store to be delivered to my home.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. They have very competitive prices. I enjoyed walking around and looking at all the gear. Some of the staff were kind enough to demo some of the studio monitors.
Called the store over the phone ahead of time because I wanted to sell a couple of vintage amp heads. Associate told me they do buy vintage equipment. I brought them into the store after a 2 hour drive. After half an hour of waiting for the manager, he told me they were too old ( from the 60s by the way as are most vintage amps ) and that they only bought in vintage Fenders. Total waste of my time. This is the 2nd time they do this when I try to sell used gear. They do not buy used gear. Theyre too lazy and dont wanna do it.
Went in to purchase a Ukulele for both of my daughters. Was able to find two beginner Ukuleles at a very good price. We purchased the Kala waterman. Great for beginners.

I have three different stories to tell, the first one I called and asked for a ukulele and a specific color of that ukulele for my girlfriend. The guy that answered said they were restocking and they couldnt check go check the inventory. I went in person trying to see what they had anyway and the ukuleles were in individual boxes with the name and colors on those boxes next to the ukulele rack, after i looked for less than a minute i saw they didnt have the specific color I wanted. Why couldnt the dude do that less than a minute search?Second story I asked someone for a tuner they said hell be right back to get it and never came back, i was waiting for 15 minutes before I decided just to leave.My last story was I went to trade in some DJ equipment to go towards a new guitar, I knew I would be taking some loss but I decided that itll balance out because of the discount they give for a trade in. I went to customer service and the manager said to hang on, after waiting for about an hour he finally came back and said my stuff was only worth 75 bucks. I felt insulted by that offer, honestly if i wanted to get shafted like that i would go to a pawn shop instead. The piece of equipment I was selling in particular was worth 800 brand new. I understand that they have to make a profit but theyre selling on eBay for 400 dollars easily. I waited an hour to get told that. I just picked up my stuff and I went to guitar center in Hallandale right after and I got 270 for the equipment and I ordered the guitar i wanted. Overall, terrible service. Dont waste your time.

The keyboard came damaged from shipping due to improper packaging only cardboard around the case, and them (FedEx dropped it.) I waited so long to find a Yamaha motif SX8 in great condition like this one. It came in a gator Hardshell case but when they dropped it, bent two of the sliders very sad, I call the store and no problems they return it with no problem
