Matt at Dodd’s was fantastic! Helped me find the exact battery charger i needed, swapped out the interchangeable battery converter right there in store for me so when i took it home it would be ready to go for my exact Nikon, was super friendly and made the short trip in exceptional! So happy Dayton has a local photography store!

The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful, and everything on display was organized and looked very nice. I must add that Kyle in particular was very helpful on the phone when I inferred about a product I needed that I wanted to know if they had in stock. 10/10 and I definitely will be returning in the future.

HIGHLY recommend this business! They always are looking out for the best for their clients instead of trying to make money and rip them off. Some camera stores I leave feeling ripped off but Dodds Camera is the BEST. Great customer service and product!

One of the few camera stores left. Refreshing to find a camera store that sells old film cameras, lenses, and film. They also offer film developing services for decent prices. Theres not a big selection of filters and call ahead to confirm what film they have in stock as it might have to be ordered. Staff is very friendly but not all of the staff is knowledgeable on film.

I went in to see about purchasing a fairly high dollar camera lense for my sony a6600. These guys were very helpful. They did not pressure me and gave very honest feedback about what I was looking at. I ended up buying a $1000 lense and Ive been very happy with my purchase.

Had a pretty bad experience getting my disposables developed here. Quite a few of my pictures were either not printed or never even developed. Staff was a bit snarky and rude when I brought it to their attention.

Im a photographer and needed some photobooks done for valentines day by the 13th. I ordered that week. Let them know, and they had them done by the 12th. They called me right away to tell me they were ready. The books looked amazing as always. I also really enjoy using their ordering system. Its easy and I dont have to download anything to my laptop just make a book or order prints. I go to them for all my photo printing needs. They also have helped with a camera repair. They are super great and have super great customer service

Decent place the membership can help you save slot depending on who you talking to you need be very specific on what you want if getting media done like on vhs conversion I expected them be on thumb drives from the talk we had with the employee ended up being on dvd but I can rip it to a drive so it works just besure both parties are on same page

I had a really large antique poster board (30” x 40”) that I needed copied. They were able to scan it and also digitally clean up the scuffs/marks that were on the image. They also provided me with a digital copy of the image. I’m was really pleased with the whole experience.

Buyer beware!bought 3k + in equipment paid order in advance ; agreed upon camera trade in price which the manager wrote on his business card. When new camera arrived the manager shorted the price (charged me more), I reluctantly paid but mentioned I would look for the card and found it when I got home. Called the next day and explained, the sales rep said bring the card in when your 500 dollar additional purchase arrives, to which I agreed.One month later I noticed my parts were immediately available on-line so I went to the store to inquire. The store manager was quick to state he would not honor his original agreement and the fully paid pre-paid order was not in yet and he could not predict when it would be----Im pretty certain he forgot to order its it would have been delivered by now!I had him refund the 500 dollar order, ordered it on B&H and ill have the parts in 2 days.As an owner of several businesses I strive to support local brick and mortar businesses; however I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT STORE THE REST OF MY LIFE!The only reason to go there is SERVICE and I was truly disappointed!

I called to ask if I could test a lens to before purchasing and was told yes. Drove them 40min down just to be told I had to buy the lens. Waste of time. Makes sense why these little camera shops go out of business. Ill take my money to BH going forward

Always had everything I needed. Even bought a used camera but was not to my liking and they accepted it back, no problem. Have been there many times since. Film processing is also great there !!

Website always shows they have stock in store. But they never seem to actually have stock. Very misleading practices. I will not be going back.

Not just cameras! Photo developing, actual film and photo paper, creative photo displays, tin type photos, wood photos, mugs, calendars, bags, fabric, just about anything. The pricing for this is so much lower than ShutterFly or Wal-Mart without the shipping charges! You can even get your photo put to canvas - from 8x10 to wall size! Absolutely fantastic service - Trina is so knowledgeable and Kyle is so friendly and helpful. I will only be using Dodd for photos and gifts from now on.

The salesman told me they didnt carry something I was looking directly at in the store.I came in looking for a very common battery (SONY NP-F770) and the salesman didnt know what it was. Asked me what camera it was for. I told him its for lighting equipment and a monitor and he said no, that battery is for a really old sony camera and they dont carry it. So I asked him what the dual NP-F770 battery with charger kit was. He then found 3 batteries matching what I was looking for.Bonus: these batteries are used on many of the items they sell in-store.

Employees are very knowledgeable of the products that is sold, kind of pricey in but camera isnt. Smaller establishment, has a variety of products and accessories. Great information given when browsing for cameras.

Fairly good selection considering this is the only legit photography store in the Dayton area. The guy behind the counter was very unwelcoming and had a know-it-all attitude. I asked if they carried a used lens and he basically blew my inquiry off by making me feel bad for even asking and following up with it wouldnt be worth it because you wouldnt be saving much money. We need more competition in the area so these smug guys would chill out a bit.

Dont get your film developed here. They dont actually do any developing on site so they have to ship it out. It took 2 weeks to get one roll of film developed and back to me.

Needed some assistance. 1 employee who couldnt be bothered to half answer a question. People will use your services if you can pay attention.

Granted this was years ago when they were up on 725 next to toys r us. The guy with white hair in a ponytail behind the counter was stuck up and treated me like I was just in there to steal.

Hours.. I drove an hour to come visit this store for the first time and I get here and the store is closed. The hours should not be posted on the website if they are not going to be open. Very disappointed!
