Good golly miss Molly, what a coffee shop! The coffee itself is wonderful, and even the somewhat vague menu item names were illuminated by friendly and helpful baristas.The design of the shop has rock/punk vibes. It also has a sort of transition in design from the front to the back of the shop. The front is very bright with big windows and white walls. As one steps deeper into the shop it becomes darker and darker until youre in blacklit seating areas with skull statues on tables . The bathroom gets extra points for letting and encouraging you to write on the wall. Very pleased and would come back again.

Very hip alt-rock style place with pretty good coffee and lots of seating and an on-site roastery. This place definitely has a super unique and fun vibe!

We like this little shop! Very good coffee and the smoked salmon bagel is incredible. Weve tried to make it at home now which is delicious but just not as good as from the shop. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. My only complaint is that you dont have caramel flavor. :)

First time customer. Wanted to get my friend some coffee beans, and they were close. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was lovely and the smell was amazing. The two working at the time were very pleasant and helpful. Ended up leaving with my own drink, freshly roasted coffee beans, and a brownie. The drink was delicious. After my car ride to home was over, the other things were tasted, and just as good. Its pricey, but I feel the reasoning is understandable.

Best mocha in the area, muffins were good also. Staff were friendly and helpfull. We were happy we chose this place for our coffee stop on our 500 mile bicycle tour. Also visited the one in Crown Point on the way back to San Diego

The second of the Fluid stores to open, this little shop offers Michigan City a lovely lineup of drinks and food. Today I had the White Dragon, a delicious coconut tea concoction. The only issue was how fast it disappeared. Thats a drink to remember for the sweltering days ahead.

Nice coffee store in the art district in Michigan City! There are many interesting items on their menu, and the customers can see more details in the paper menu in front of the cashier. We ordered mocha and americano, and the coffee was pretty good. The interior decoration was also interesting, and some customers seem to just work here comfortably. Recommended!

When you need your coffee fix in Michigan City, Indiana, this is the ONLY place to go! They roast onsite! The double Espresso was perfect and the Cappuccino was excellent! The brownie was decadent and the cheese danish was tasty!

Wonderful place! I highly recommend Oracle, which is made of butterfly pea powder (blue), matcha, and cold milk foam. 🤩

These folks sell & serve freshly roasted coffee, and its quickly become my favorite spot in the area.

I tried the Chia latte and it was extremely good! I love the fact that they offer vegan & gluten free baked goods. The shop is beautifully designed with very friendly employees.

Great coffee and service! The atmosphere was very nice as well. In town for boat racing and it was great to have a nice coffee shop close by. Walkable from the beach if you are a walker. Highly recommend!

Stumbled on this eclectic place while passing through Michigan City and so glad we did! The staff was beyond friendly and the girl at the register helped my mom select the perfect drink - she loved her lemon and oat milk cold brew.

A cafe with a nice atmosphere with an impressive amount of creative drinks. We tried the Voodoo late (pb + chocolate) and the Lemon Love, and theyre 💯. Its a great addition to Michigan City, Ill be stopping by again.

Always great staff, very friendly and they make a damn good cup of coffee no matter which drink you order. Im a huge fan of the Rocket Fuel, and Voodoo Brew is another great choice. Theyre baked goods are delicious and worth the price. Atmosphere is casual with some creative seating and interesting art on the walls, and if youre more alternative (goth, punk, metalhead, emo, just against the norm) this is the coffee spot for you! I always recommend Fluid Coffee, its been a fave since the one in Valpo opened and the MC location is super convenient for me so Ill be a regular for sure.

Staff are exceptionally friendly and clearly take pride in the business and product- as they should! Coffee was delicious with creative drinks, including an excellent peanut butter-chocolate concoction.

This coffee shop is 10/10. Not only was the coffee amazing, but the food was just as good. It is really difficult to have good food + good coffee. Usually one is better than the other. Not at FLUID! They put work into crafting both to be delicious. Baristas were super friendly & even gave my husband a free coffee card to use next visit because it was his birthday. The vibe is just overall amazing. We love it and we will definitely be coming back many times!!

I love the Lemon Love from this location as well as both Valpo locations. But please, update your hours on Google; it says you are open at 6am on Sunday (MC location), but I showed up today (6/13/21) at 7:30am on my way to work, only to find out you were closed.

Mid-sized towns use to be boring, bland and uncreative. It use to be that if you wanted high quality culture, food, music etc, then you had to live in a big city.Fluid is screaming proof that those days are over. Fluid is an absolute gem that meets or exceeds every standard you would find at a big city coffee shop (Only with better prices.)The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the artwork is tasteful, the menu is organized and well thought-out. The quality of the coffee and pastries is high. The music they play is good, the staff is friendly.All of the parts fit together to create a fully formed concept.Yes, I am a little surprised to find such a gem in Michigan City, but Im happy to run with it.Michigan city has done a great job building an inviting downtown, Fluid is an integral piece of that effort.People who work hard and create nice things like Fluid deserve to be appreciated, so I highly recommend that you get down there and order some espresso.

Every time I go the service is great, the environment is calm and soothing and the coffee is downright amazing, there’s no better place to go for coffee and to chill!!

The guy in the beard has got to go, rude, walking around without a mask.The cold brew was fantastic, but alas.. I asked for the coffee they sell to make that cold brew and I was sold a small overpriced 17 dollar packet of coffee, which when brewed tasted nothing like the one I had there. It tasted really bad actually. Could have just said they dont sell the cold brew flavor. Instead of selling a small packet of 17 dollar coffee that tastes like gas station 3 dollar pack of coffee.

We found this place while camping at the Dunes. We got the Fluid and the Rocket Fuel! And they are so good! Leanna was so fun and helpful. She also showed us around and made our experience 5 star worthy!

It was really slow but good

My girlfriend ordered a matcha latte and I ordered a cold brew. The cold brew was fine, but her matcha latte tasted like straight milk, like there wasnt enough matcha in it. I went back in to ask if more could be put in, and the barista got defensive and stated she had already put a lot in. She started asking questions like “where has she had matcha before? Starbucks?” and stating things like “well tell her to be careful to not drink it all at once then” making me feel really uncomfortable. She then put an almost unnoticeable amount of the powdery green substance in the drink an gave it back. My girlfriend and I both concluded that it still tasted like straight up milk. Not the most pleasant experience for our first visit.

This place is our local gem. Great drinks and great employees. Chuck and Alison do a great job making everyone feel like family . A high recommendation if youre in the region. Get the Parma police sandwich and rocket fuel. You can thank me later;)

Awesome coffee shop. No place like it in Laporte County. Better than their Valparaiso location (light and airy, big windows and less grungy looking). They play edgy music and have a fun irreverent atmosphere.A bit pricey and a touch pretentious, but this is often the case with 3rd wave coffee culture. I think they have a good product and will have an outstanding product (roasted coffee) in a few years.If you love coffee and are in the area this is a must stop!

Stopped here before the road trip back home & it was very well worth it. It’s owned by a husband & wife who were some of the coolest looking baristas I’ve seen. The service was welcoming & the coffee is superb !!! If I’m in Michigan City again Im going back for more.

As a coffee geek, I love visiting specialty coffee shop, and it’s even better when the employees believe in their products. Since there was a slow moment when we arrived, the baristas talked to us about the whole bean offerings, Leanna gave us a tour of the roastery and lab before we ordered drinks and food. This place serves fantastic coffee (traditional macchiato and oat milk latte made by Hailey) and the oatmeal and BLT were phenomenal!

I love Fluid! The atmosphere and coffee are great. Same price as Starbucks but supports a local family & staff. Always my go-to.

Mixed review. Came in with some friends. One friend loved her Americano, while the other friend was displeased with her drip coffee. Cupcakes should not be served cold.

Fantastic addition to the Uptown Arts District in Michigan City. I love the original one in Valpo and am thrilled to have a closer location to get one of the bests cups of coffee I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is relaxed and creative and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a must stop if you’re in the area.
