Large varieties of candy and sweets, however it was more expensive than I was expecting. We found a flyer at a nearby store that gave us 10% off our first purchase.

Kids and adults alike candy wonderland. There is something for everyone including a wide variety of the most sinfully delicious truffles. An hour drive each direction for us but so worth it! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Make the trip you wont be disappointed!!

A motel and candy store? Not as crazy as youd think. We didnt stay in the rooms, but the candy store was small but bursting full of options. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well as answered ALL of my 8 year olds questions 🤣Id youre driving by, staying close, or live in town, this place is well worth the stop.

Theres a super skinny cat hanging out in the store and several empty containers... I love cats but the two issues together made me wonder how closely they monitor the food conditions. Perhaps they turn it over fast... No idea since there were no indicators. You go in to an elevator and youll know when it was last serviced at a glance, I feel like the walls of edibles should have the same.

Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of candy, and the fidge is amazing.

Middlebury Sweets is claimed to be the largest candy store in the state of Vermont. They recently moved to an old motel on Rt. 7 in Middlebury from their old location on Ossie Rd. in East Middlebury. They still carry a ton of candies I remembered when I was a kid. They do carry sugar free candies for those who cannot have too much sugar. They have decent fudge bars made fresh daily. Their current location isnt just a candy store. They are also a motel that leases rooms to tourists. If you plan to stay at the motel there, it is best to call and make a reservation. If youre only there for there to satisfy your sweet tooth, you can drop in anytime during normal business hours to buy candies.

So many things to choose from and so little time! They have anything you could ever dream of for candy! I become the kid in the candy store and get so excited! From their handmade chocolates and fudge to their hard to find candies - its there and its delicious!

A great place to stay when your in town for business or pleasure. Friendly staff, free amenities, furnishings that are cozy and comfortable. The location is perfect, close to the center of town and all surrounding venues. Youll honestly love staying here.

Has novelty items that are appealing to tourists, collectors, etc.. (eg. oversized candy) also has penny candy and pay by weight.. down side is that this place is cramped space wise, so folks with wheelchairs or strollers might rethink this as an outing.. very small aisles

Would not recommend going here, the “largest store in Vermont” was definitely not worth it. The workers totally ignored us when we walked in, the store was half empty, but very tight. Also they had a bird in the corner of the store with no water or food! He was shaking and he was so stressed he was ripping his feathers out. Really bad place don’t go! This place deserves negative stars

The largest candy store in VT. Its not enormous, but they have alot of stuff in there. We were driving a scenic route from Montreal to Killington area and this was a great place to stretch and sugar-up. Our teen definitely had no problem with this stop.

Apparently, Middlebury Sweets moved and theyre now located in the office of a seedy-looking motel. Not appealing at all. My family and I were hesitant to check them out, but considering we had driven 30 minutes from Shoreham just to see what they were all about, we went in. Very awkward parking in a motel and walking into its office just for candy...The motel apparently doesnt get good reviews either, so it made the experience even worse. The candy store looked like it was being set up when we got there, but they had kids helping out who were running around and basically pushing us out of their way to stock shelves (I hope their hands were clean...). Very annoying and rude. Very, very, very tight store. If this is Vermonts largest candy store, thats very sad. Ive been to candy stores in malls that had more selection. I think the whole experience (the seedy motel, the kids running amok and the small selection) made the trip totally not worth it and it was a waste of gas. Wouldnt recommend.
