Appliances buying during a pandemic is no joke. We came to wickford to do some buy local appliance shopping. After picking highly specialized Cafe appliances we ran into huge production delays. Running months behind. Due to the design of our new kitchen flexibility of switching to another brand was not possible. The team at Wickford to the needed steps to help aquire our appliances through flexibility and understanding of not having a fridge or stove for months on end. The restaurant business boomed during our plight. Amy and team stepped up in a big way and stepped away from conventional thinking to help us achieve our goals. Teamwork, communications and patience prevailed in this strange time. Thank you to Middletown Wickford appliances. Your delivery team was top notch as well. Safe and courteous.

Provided a well priced package that fit my needs which included fast delivery so limited to what was in stock- Dan knew just what my options were and found a perfect package. I have been working with WIckford for at least 6 months finalizing my appliance purchase for a new construction. They were always patient and not pushy. I worked with Dan in the Middletown location and he always made himself available to me, explained everything in detail, and was very responsive. Totally first rate. I needed to replace our top loader washing machine ASAP. Lisa walked me through the in-stock options with a respectable knowledge of each unit. There was no pressure, no attempt to upsell me, no let me speak to our manager. She understood what I needed and when I needed it and helped me to select a washer within my budget. She even arranged to move up the installation date by a day. Very happy with the transaction.

My washing machine broke last night. So I needed a new one pronto!! I shopped around and between, Gil’s, Home Depot and you guys there was not a lot of difference price wise on the model I was looking for. $748 all tree places. What was different was the little extras. Like removing the old one, paying for the new hook up pipes, and delivery. Again not a big difference between the 3 places . So it came down to service. All three places the salesperson was knowledgeable and nice. But one stood up for me in this crowd.Evan was polite, smiling, happy, knowledgeable and kind. It made all the difference to me.. so the moral of this story is. To be kind and knowledgeable and smiling makes a difference. Updated review. While everything below is true, the GM called me and went out of his way to make it right including sending out his master technician to complete the hookup. I did get the local touch that I expected and appreciate the customer service. The washer works great and I am now a satisfied customer. It may take a little additional effort, but the Wickford team is clearly focused on customer satisfaction. Thank you.+++Unbelievably bad experience from start to finish. I wanted to support local business, but should have bought at a big box. Not worth the headaches. Who installs a washer and doesnt check the connections?!? First delivery unit was broken. No flexibility on delivery time. When I did get to a manager she did try to make it right, but my salesman was nothing more than an order taker and totally useless in addressing problems. Ill never spend another penny at Wickford.

We bought an oven/range from Wickford Appliance in Middletown after doing much research. We liked the fact that they are an appliance repair company, and do the repairs on what they sell. They matched the local sale price on an oven/range that we really loved. We also bought a 5 year repair contract. 4 1/2 years later, the range wasnt working 100%, so we called Wickford Appliance for the repair. Josh came out and was friendly, efficient, and fixed the range like new - no bill. The parts alone would have cost more than the repair contract. We couldnt be happier with our oven/range and Wickford Appliance. We are giving them 5 stars.

Stay away! I Just called to see if they offered service on LG washing machines. The lady who answered responded that yes, they do, and immediately tried to setup an appointment to dispatch a tech to my house. I interjected that first, Id like to speak with a tech to explain my issue, to determine whether or not it was worth even dispatching for. Also she never asked for the model number of my machine, and I repeatedly asked her to write it down and verify that they could even offer service and/or parts for that model, being an older machine. She explained that there was nobody in house who I could speak with, and that my only option was to spend $99 for a dispatch/diagnosis fee for the tech to show up to my house and have a look. After the tech arrives and looks the the machine (and presumably collects $99), the parts and labor would all be billed separately from there. I asked her what their labor rate was and she responded Between $50 to $150 per hour. Flabergasted (even extremely specialized auto, marine, and aircraft mechanics charge less than $150), I asked her how they determine which service was worth which price, and how I could possibly predict or budget what the repair might be worth, given that sort of range between quotes. At $150/hour, plus the initial $99 fee, a 3-4 hour repair might easily surpass the cost of a new machine! The ladys response was the technician determines which repairs warrant which rate. What a scam and what a horrendous business model. Do NOT do business with someone who A)charges you a fee just to provide a quote (or diagnosis) and/or B) will not tell you what rate they intend to charge you.

Easy to order. We needed a new dishwasher ASAP and Wickford Appliance had a suitable model for our needs in stock in their warehouse. Price was great and everyone from sales to delivery was very pleasant. Cant comment on installation since we did a DIY install. Will use Wickford again for future appliance needs. Much easier than big box store experiences.

Don’t trust them.We shopped around for air conditioners and found that Wickford appeared to have the best price on the model we decided we wanted. We called the store and spoke with Winnie. I gave him the model. He confirmed they had them in stock. I asked him when I could pick it up and he said anytime before 8. I asked if the AC would fit in my car and he gave me the box measurements. He also volunteered that the model we wanted was on display and running if we wanted to see it when we got to the store.Based on all of that, we went to the store to pick up the AC. Winnie was there and remembered our phone call. But no, they didn’t have the AC unit. I asked if they ran out, and he explained with this big, beaming smile, that they never had it. They could get it next week (when we would no longer be in town).I reminded Winnie, who seemed utterly delighted with the whole situation, that he had told us they had the model in stock and we could pick it up. We had discussed the logistics of loading it into my car and taking it home when I arrived. Nodding yes, Winnie said that this was all true—but having it in stock didn’t mean he had it in the store and picking it up didn’t mean picking it up when we came to the store. Again, with this big smile, he acknowledged that everything he had told us was false: they did not have the item available, or on display for that matter. Yes, he realized he had lied to us and wasted our time, but would we like to order it?I still don’t understand what the strategy was here. It was just lying for the sake of it, unapologetically. He really seemed amused by the trouble he caused so I guess that was it. There was never even the barest suggestion of an apology.In any event, don’t go here. There are other appliance stores in town that won’t lie to you.I’ve seen that someone from the store tends to respond to the bad reviews, giving the impression that the store cares. This was not a misunderstanding or confusion, it was a flat-out lie by someone who seemed to enjoy the discomfort he caused. If the store cares, get rid of the employee. There is absolutely nothing ambiguous about “yes we have that in stock, come here before 8pm today and I’ll help you get it in your car.”

I had spend a great deal of time reading reviews for the appliances I was in need of and Wickford Appliance saved me a great deal of time, as they have done the research for me and carry the TOP Brands in appliances. Tim Smith was fantastic and helped me find just the perfect Microwave that looks fantastic in my kitchen Island. I then returned to the store in search of a new dishwasher and Lisa Valentine took the time to show me several models and explain the differences. Her knowledge of the products made the experience stress free and I really enjoyed working with her as well as Tim. I have been very impressed by the level of customer service provided to me at Wickford Appliance in Middletown, and I would highly recommend Tim or Lisa to any of my friends in need of appliances.

The purchase experience and delivery could not have been better ! Due to an emergency situation we needed a refrigerator ASAP... After inquiring on line we received a call from Evan at the the Middletown store...Over the phone and in just a few minutes he confirmed the availability of the Fridge we wanted, we made the purchase and he was able to schedule the delivery for 2 days later...It arrived on time and the delivery crew did an excellent job removing the old unit and installing the new one in about 20 min with no drama and no damage.....Thanks Evan and Wickford Appliance !

I called them to get a washing machine fixed, since the manufacturer would try to sell us a very expensive service plan. After being on hold for 10 minutes a very nice woman told me they are not accepting new customers, and offered to refer me to Kenmore. Dont waste your time unless youve already bought from them; they dont want new service customers.

After buying more $15,000 of appliances from these guys we hired them to charge a new AC unit. We were badly ripped off when the installers complained that the new AC lines that I had installed had inadequate insulation. They insisted on tearing it out and putting in their own lines. After ripping out perfectly good copper lines and insulation the left to go to the supply house and returned an hour later. What I didnt know until they left for the day was that they just reinstalled the original lines and insulation and in the process damaged the insulation very badly. I called the owner of wick ford Appliance to complain and he just laughed at me.

Why does it take so long to get a hold of their service department? This is my fifth call where I have been on hold for over 10 minutes with them. They usually schedule appointments 2+ weeks out as well. I am awaiting my 5th repair visit from them for my 1 year old fridge that has not been working in 3 months. Great for sales, horrible service department.

I would think twice before purchasing any appliances here. For one their equipment you purchase breaks in a matter of a few months. Even more so if you did not purchase a warranty. Another reason is their employees whom deliver, steal from your home, damage your purchases, and barley even speak a word of English! Are these people even legal or have their backgrounds been checked! Im sure theyre breaking alot of state laws here. If I were you, Id buy else where.

I just experienced possibly the best customer service I have ever experienced. A few weeks ago my microwave broke. I went into Wickford appliance in Middletown ri and Lee Miller helped me find the correct microwave to fit into my Thermidor built-in wall Unit with, warming drawer, oven and microwave combo unit. Unfortunately the microwave did not come in time for Easter Lee knew from our conversation that I was expecting it for the holiday therefore after work on Friday he drove another microwave to my home for me to borrow for the weekend. Once the new microwave arrived we tried to install it but the trim kit did not fit the new microwave. We ordered a new trim kit. When that arrived unfortunately it did not fit either. Lee Miller then came out on his own time and tried both new and old trim kits. Neither fit therefore on his own time he built a plywood platform for my microwave and installed the old trim kit to fit perfectly. He is truly remarkable. I am so impressed with what a truly amazing employee and company they are. They have certainly earned a customer for life.

I am so disappointed with the service I received at your Middletown office. On March 26th of this year I purchased and paid cash for a dishwasher that I was told would be delivered on April 5th. I got a call that appliance would be delivered between 2 and 5 p m . My husband has brain cancer so we have to schedule things very carefully. We rescheduled his doctor appointments so we would be available for delivery. The dishwasher was not delivered. I called the store ad the salesman told me that the dishwasher was not in stock and could I wait 2 more weeks so he could reorder the dishwasher I agreed to do that as it is hard enough with the health issues to get time to do these things. He assured me it would be delivered by April 20th. On April 19th I got a call that they were coming between 2 and 5 to deliver the dishwasher again we rearranged our schedule. No dishwasher. I called the Middletown store and was told that it was not scheduled to be delivered today. Now this is twice that this dishwasher has been a problem. I have purchased 2 other appliances from this store,and the transactions were flawless this time it has been a disaster. What is going on at this store? The manager said he would call me tomorrow with a delivery date. Do I wait again? Tomorrow is Saturday. I like to buy from a family owned businesses as I feel you get better service. Well not in this case. What did I get for my trouble? I got excuses. My next move is consumer advocate on channel 10 news if this keeps up. Sad

Zero Rating for KAREN Pawtucket. Having purchasesd all my appliances from them (Well over $50,000 worth). I have been trying to get my range repaired since 3/9/2016. There 3rd attempt was unsuccessful. Wrong part orders, not this relay but that one but this one was bad too. I mean I get it the service technicians are great and friendly but KAREN was awful. No customer service skills whatsoever. I simply called to tell them of the situation. KAREN tells me I bought my appliances somewhere else and proceeds to talk to me like I am the vilian here. I mean awfulThe owner or manager needs to train her.

The sales and warehouse personnel made phone calls and worked for me to make sure I would geta 2nd new refrigerator in 4 months. I received phone calls, messages, emails and texts to keep me in the loop.The brand I wanted was on factory pause for my desired design. By going out of my comfort zone changing the Brand and color from white to black after almost 50 years of white and 2 refrigerators one in garage and 1 in my small 1911 kitchen I am so happy with what design and color I now have. Thank You!
