Really clean place, young lady behind the counter amazingly friendly, she nearly knew everyone by name that walked in and that place was buzzing Sunday morning. She knew I was from out of town and made a point to make me feel like one of the regulars. Did mention the food was great too!

Horrible customer service. Arrived at opening, nobody in sight, went around the back to the kitchen and found someone that worked there....but he wouldnt be the one who opens...that person was sitting in the car....never opened..even knowing a buying customer was waiting!

The owner, Kate (?), was running the show when we got there. We’d never seen such a successfullyMultitasking human. She was efficiently taking orders, calls, prepping meals, and making welcoming conversation with customers, all at the same time. Of course, she probably had to do so much because of the labor shortage, but she was handling it like a CHAMP. We aren’t from the area and I was surprised when she noticed, from my salad order, that I’m likely vegetarian and recommended other wonderful options they have available if I were to come back. I rarely write reviews but feel she deserved one for her hard work and kindness, especially during a very stressful time.

They dont open until 7am. Most people are already on their way to work. Owners are not good business people. Most working people are looking for a bagel between 5am and 7am. They are definitely throwing money out the window. There are 2 other deli within a mile of this place that open at 5 am. Short Stop Deli opens at 5am and is on the corner of East main St and County Rt 78. Middletown NY. Short Stop Deli has excellent bagels and breakfast.

HUGE bagels that are so flavorful and moist. Love all the fresh cream cheeses especially the chive. Only complaint is I have encountered a few rude employees.

Best place to grab sandwich in Middletown. This was absolutely incredible. The seasonings within the SEC were on point. Only eating here from now on!

I stopped into this bagel shop because I had a doctors appointment. Afterward my appointment I googled bagel shop near me and this shop came up. The woman in there (I believe the owner) was super sweet and welcomed me, asked me if Id ever been there before, and thanked me for stopping by. I dont go into that area often, but if I do, I would definitely re-visit!

Food is always delicious fresh and hot. Coffee is excellent too. Staff is always polite. They make excellent Bagels as well. Recently got a delivery via express eats and everything arrived delicious as expected.

Good service. They do something that other deli’s don’t do around here In Middletown, ENGAGE with customers. So I tip every time and what tops It off Is how cheap and inexpensive their breakfast sandwiches are!!! Nothing different about them. You get the same quality as anywhere else with less the dollar spent

YEAH... Im a fan. I simply ordered a bacon burger and what I got was much tastier then expected. The fries and burger was both season. It was a pleasant surprise since my experiences with takeout burgers are pretty bland and straight forward. This place is my new favorite and i cant wait to taste the rest of their menu items.

I ordered French toast bagels and when I got home to eat it, it was a raisin bagel with powdered sugar over top. I called the young lady to let her know that’s not what I ordered and she proceeded to insist that French toast bagel do have raisins in it. I stated to her that she was blatantly lying and then she finally admitted and apologized. Terrible experience. What if someone allergic?

So I used to come here every other weekend or so. But no longer will I order from them. They have gotta my order wrong several times when I always ask for the same simple New York breakfast sandwich a, “Sausage Egg & Cheese, with some Salt, pepper, ketchup, on a cinnamon raisin bagel.... TOASTED!” Should be a simple enough order. Or maybe that don’t care enough to write it down, but I’ve gotten my sandwich without ketchup, once without even the sausage, wrong bagel.... Just hope this post gives them a heads up to care about ALL the customers, especially those who aren’t rude, don’t ask for much, and always say Thank you and Have a Great Day!

Bagel was good. Chewy on the outside and soft inside. Apparently though they dont make decaf if it isnt busy enough (though it very busy) which was inconvenient for my wife who is nursing. And we had to get special dispensation to use the bathroom to wash up after changing a diaper in the car since theres a signore on the bathroom that says employees only no customers. Im pretty sure when you serve food you have to have a bathroom for customers.

These girls are awesome. They make a great breakfast sandwich and their coffee is great too. Always pleasant and smiling. When they get busy it can take a little while for your order but it’s worth it.

Had a breakfast catering order for 64 people today. The food was excellent and plentiful. Everyone is raving about the food- french toast (two full trays) was gone in about 20 mins. Will absolutely be using in the future! Thank you!

I visited the Bagel Shop for the first time and had a fantastic first experience. Service was quick and friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very homey. The owner came out to ask how our experience was and upon hearing it was our first time, she made it a point to talk to us about the lunch specials they have and thanked us for coming in. Truly a job well done!

The bagels and breakfast sandwiches are the bwst. The are not cheap with what goes into your breakfast sandwich neither. So many types of bagels to chose from from savory to sweet. I try to get there early when the selection is the best. You can also sit down and have a full breakfast. The best thing about thia place starts with the owner Kate. She and her staff quickly learn your name and will welcome you after a few visits by name. The customer service and the friendliness of everyone is what keeps me coming back!

We love this place for its bagels. My family comes here every week...But on a couple different occasions, they will be open or the sign says theyre open but theyre not. Ive called and they say theyre open but they keep the doors locked.

Its clean and safe and I enjoy the bagels. They are worth the price. Theyre breakfast sandwiches are great and I enjoy the family fun environment.

At the shop now. Its closed! Hours on website and the door indicate the hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Soooo frustrating! I tried to call. Not even an option to leave a message. Just rang and rang. Cant even say if the bagels are good. All I know is that if I cant rely on them to be open during the hours posted there is no point on returning.

We stopped here as we traveled through, the staff was super friendly, the food is very reasonably priced, and some of the best breakfast sandwiches I ever tasted. 👍🏼

Really enjoyed the sub I had here which was Chicken and Ranch if Im not mistaken. Small interior but I didnt mind it so much since I was taking it to go. I like that they support local artists.

This place is utterly phenomenal the staff are very very nice the food is unbelievable. To give you a brief example I went to go get food I say a week before with my daughter, then I returned later on within the month and one of the employees actually remembered us, thats attention to detail I love this place, my new favorite spot.
