Went in to buy a stamp. Owner of the store didn’t want to sell me stamp and wanted me to pay $13 to send an envelope to Lewes, De. He said to go to the post office to buy a stamp. I asked “you don’t sell stamps anymore “? He said yes they do but next time go to the post office. Losing a customer is less important than Having a righteous attitude apparently. Good luck!
Ive been here a few times, the employees are friendly and efficient. In and out real quick! cant ask for anything more!
Similar to the other reviews. Woman seemed bothered to do her job. I was really nice and asked a few simple questions. She was so abrasive that I ended up telling her I wouldnt be doing business here and I yelled and left, which is completely out of character for me. Save your business and fire her, your ratings are suffering.
Rip off! I had two pages to send to FL. The store charged me $3.00 for an envelope to put the two 8 x 11 sheets of paper in it. Another time I brought in a small box with a pre-paid label from a business it was supposed to go to. I did not put packaging tape on the box just to be sure, my taping does not create a problem at the UPS store. The store wanted me to pay $2.00 to put sealing tape on the 3 x 4 x 6 box. I took the business somewhere else.
Shipping store that doesn’t ship things. UPS should really offer more than their name to franchise owners. Someone needs to open a real store and put this miserable excuse of a store out of business.
Employees are always friendly and professional. A great place to ship UPS packages from and drop off the occasional Amazon returns.
Ive been to this store many times and never had an issue. When I send gifts to my family and friends out of state UPS gets it there safely. Great Service.
The Owner has always been very courteous and they have always had my packages delivered on time. I used this location several times a week and everyone was great.
Had to send a package back to Amazon, was in and out less then a minute. Love fast service.
PLEASE do NOT patronize this establishment! Giving them business is only propagating a serious problem and contributing to a toxic business being able to remain open in your community. The customer service is terrible: the manager Tom is rude beyond words, condescending, and misogynistic; and the store is not following UPS policy. Apparently they feel that they are able to apply policies however they wish to and go against official UPS policies because they are a franchise and can make their own rules. They also blatantly disregard public safety, as the manager would not release a package to a person I had designated in Delaware and wanted me to travel to the store to pick up the package personally from out of state (which was against COVID travel restrictions) when I was under quarantine for COVID!As far as releasing packages to those other than the addressee, Tom is completely incorrect in his application of the policy and erroneously withholds packages. The email I received from UPS about my package stated :Note: An officially recognized form of ID will be required when retrieving your package. If you are picking up the package and are not the addressee, you will also be required to provide the tracking number.I complied with these guidelines and they were verified by phone by UPS Customer Service that this was all that was needed. When my package would not be released even though I was 100% compliant, I again contacted UPS Customer Service and told the manager was incorrect but was probably following his own rules. The representative said I could call the store and offer to show my drivers license or write a letter to officially release permission BUT.........when I called the store, the manager Tom was so rude to me I could not believe it! I have worked in customer service for many years and the way I was treated by Tom would absolutely not be tolerated. The icing on the cake was when he kept yelling at me and finished with I dont have time to listen to your whiny problems lady! and hung up on me!!!I immediately called UPS Customer Service and filed a complaint. Then after reading all of the terrible and upsetting reviews online (as well as the managers and owners snarky and condescending replies to the reviews), I called Customer Service again and directed them to the Yelp and Google reviews and another complaint was filed and escalated to top priority. They assured me an investigation will be completed. I truly hope so. This store should not be allowed to be operated by Tom and whatever other owners/managers are treating customers so extremely disrespectfully. In the meantime, I have been using FedEx and they have been wonderful. I use other UPS pick-up points other than UPS stores if I am forced to use UPS. I would encourage others to do the same. I would also encourage anyone who has had a negative interaction with this store to file a complaint with UPS Customer Service via their phone line immediately.I am sure I will get a sarcastic, rude, and condescending response below from the owner that twists the truth. So I will just grab some popcorn and wait to get a good laugh. =)
I will never use this UPS Store again. The people were uncooperative and not very nice. I went to get some legal documents notarized and then shipped overnight. There were several areas on the document that required just my signature and his seal, since he had already notarized other areas. He refused to put his seal next to my signature. He told me Thats where you would put your own seal, not mine. After spending $36.96 to overnight the documents and $10.00 for his notary services, the documents are not acceptable. I need to have them done again, because his seal was not next to my signature.
I’ve read the reviews and to be honest, I’m surprised. I’ve never had a problem with anyone here. Yes, people are business like. They are busy and don’t spend time chit-chatting. It’s very transactional. But I’m ok with that. I get in, and get out. Once I had to make copies and the young woman who was there was very helpful. I’m satisfied doing business here
Curious to know how this establish misplaced my package. First, I was told it never made it to the location. Only after I showed them proof of receipt was I informed it was there at some point however, it was moved, and they are in the process of getting it back? Ok, where did it go? Who removed it without proper identification? Why is it taking more than a week to get it back? I am beyond bewildered as to how such a thing can occur at such a small site. I called HQ, looking for answers and was told they do not have an answer for my particular situation. Why not? UPS is a major corporation that deals with all kind of shipping and receiving issues. How can THIS be the first time a package went missing from a site? Not this locations finest hour. Disappointed is all I can say.
I am not one to write many reviews but I was compelled after seeing the negative ones this location was receiving. Really not quite sure how this store could have such a low star rating, I have gone here probably 30-50 times over the past 2-3 years and each time I cannot say I have had a bad experience in anyway what-so-ever. The people here are all friendly, they are quick to help you, they are patient and I have even heard them pay random customers and myself compliments on things they were wearing or hairstyles etc. They help you do what you need to do and especially quickly. I am often in and out in less than 2-3 minutes, no joke. If you go into the store and are prepared and know what you are doing you will be out of there really quickly. If you do not know what you are doing then they will guide you in the right direction. If you look at the reviews below, sometimes people blame them for other company programs like amazon return shipping issues and pre-paid or no packaging required programs but thats not the UPS stores fault, thats the customer being misinformed and not paying attention to the rules and what they needed to do before they went to the store. Then they are the ones getting angry at the wrong people who are just trying to help them, then they go online and bash them with a bad review - its ridiculous. Go here and judge for yourself, because anyone who goes here and consistently uses them for shipping, amazon returns and all their other services and has a grip on how those services work before you walk in the store, well you will be handled just fine and be pleasantly surprised after reading all these negative reviews. This place is great dont let online idiots deter you from doing business with a solid local business, they do a fine job. Find out for yourself! Thank you Middletown Crossing UPS for doing such an awesome job keep up the amazing work like always!
Horrible Customer Service!I tried to pick up a package for my sister-in-law as she had to leave town after the holidays. I had a valid ID and the email from UPS containing the tracking number of the package, which is exactly what the UPS email said was needed to pick up the delivery. The store would not release the package to me. In addition to the extremely poor customer service, the staff were rude, abrasive and totally uncooperative. How this place stays in business is beyond me. Additionally, for those looking for a UPS Access Point in Middletown DE, CVS is also a UPS drop-off/pickup location and they actually treat people like valued customers.
The problem I have is that the mail I sent yesterday, using USPS wasn’t sent out until today. It was a notarized letter, which the store handled.I had just left the post office which didn’t have a notary. So when I asked if the store would mail itas well, they could. Not having to stand in anotherline trumped a service charge. However, a service charge implies just that, perhapsa sense of urgency. Especially in a store specializingin shipping and mailing. I was charged double thepost office fee for the same product.I called this morning to inquire why the tracking number wasn’t working, Tom responded that the mail went out today. When I questioned the cost, hisresponse was “how can I make any money if Icharged the same”.If I was informed that mail wasn’t expedited at thislocation, Tom wouldn’t have made any money onshipping because there wouldn’t have been any.Since my package was finally out, I couldn’t see any purpose in arguing the point. However, the idea of a business owner with this attitude, in a day where the competition from larger entities is overwhelming the small, local operator astounds me.Perhaps the review venue will have a bolstering effecton customer service at this establishment. Though, seeing the number of customers with a similar complaint, probably not.
Very rude and disrespectful and unprofessional
Rude and unfriendly environment. Never going back there for sure.
I would give this 0 stars if I could. Hands down THE WORST UPS store in existence! The worst. The owner Tomstood by and watched his representative not only give me incorrect information about an Amazon return, but when I questioned him, he also watched him proceed to yell and scream at me in front of other customers in a menacing and threatening way! When I asked him why he was allowing this, he began yelling at me. I was dumbfounded. I asked was he the owner, and he said yes. Unbelievable. I see why this UPS store in particular is the worst rated. Middletown needs to offer other UPS shipping options because no one should be spoken to or treated this way. Never, ever ever will I ever darken their doorstep for any of my office needs ever. When I said this was poor customer service, he shrugged and said he could care less about customers. :-O. He is absolutely deplorable, and should not own or operate a UPS store. I do not know if there is any other recourse with these franchises, but I plan to look into it. I was actually warned about this particular store, and now I realize why! Incredible! Do not do business with this racist store!
U guys r so lazy should be open on the hours u say u r open. Closed 15 min before. Just a waste of time.
The notary service is excellent! The Notary came out to our vehicle to notarize documents for a family member with mobility issues. Thank you.
Paula was very helpful and friendly
If you call for customer service good luck because Ive seen better and more well mannered customer service people at motels. The people that work here must HATE working there to sound so rude and miserable.
On May 1st, I shipped a one of a kind, hand made walnut bench from this store. Because I was worried about the bench arriving safely, I decided to have the UPS Store pack it for me as I was under the impression that they would do a good job with it. With packing and shipping, I paid $284.80. At no point was I given the option to declare a value or purchase insurance.A few days later, I received pictures from the recipient showing how the item was packaged and the damage it received because it was so poorly packed. I paid nearly $300 for the certified packing experts at this store to put a small layer of bubble wrap around my item with virtually no other packing material. Anyone with any common sense would have recognized that that amount of packing would be insufficient to protect the piece.Because I didnt declare a value for the package (because I was never given the option) UPS would only pay out $100 for the bench and a refund on my shipping. But that isnt the issue. I understand that UPS corporate is only paying for their side of this. However, it is the fault of this store for packing my piece so badly. Mr. Ed Lushbaugh, the owner of this store, refuses to take responsibility for so poorly packaging my piece. A decent business owner would do what he could to make this situation right. All I wanted was to have the piece shipped back to me so that I might repair it and ensure that the recipient could receive the piece of furniture that he wanted. However, Mr. Lushbaugh feels that the incompetence and lack of care he and his employees showed with their work is not his concern. As such, I am at a loss of several hundred dollars and the recipient does not have a usable piece of furniture. If he had done the right thing and had the piece shipped back to me, this would not be an issue. Even though I would still be at a financial loss if he had paid to ship the piece back, the attempt to make things right would have been enough. But instead, he has decided that common decency, good business practices, and customer service have no place in his store.I would absolutely recommend that no one take their business to this store. Attached is an image of how Mr. Lushbaugh believes the UPS Pack and Ship guarantee should be followed and how his certified packing experts pack boxes.
The owner of the UPS store in middletown Delaware is the reason for the low score at this store. He could care less!
Had two Amazon deliveries to return. One of them came in a plastic bag and the second in a large box. I printed off both shipping labels (same return address) and had the bar codes for both. In total they were three pair of shoes that all fit into one box. The return instructions for the plastic bag (unusable to return after you open the item thus the Amazon promise of just take the item back to UPS) said that just take the slip and the item to the nearest UPS store and they would take care of it. All three pair of the shoes fit into the one large box and the bar codes attached to the shipping labels would have easily made it clear to an Amazon return rep that two orders where being returned in the same box (I even had a note to that effect to place in the box.) I get to the store and start explaining the situation and I dont ever recall receiving such bothered, irritated and poor assistance in customer service in my entire life. The rep would barely let me get a word out to explain anything and just kept telling me we dont do this. The UPS store in the window says that the store is owned by a member of the community. THIS is the reason some small stores go under and others thrive. Ive shipped thousands of items for EBAY over 20 years using the USPS. I cannot ever recall a more lazy and rude customer service experience then this encounter at this UPS store. That is saying A LOT. Go to another store is my advise.
I went in tonight to purchase packing tape and mail a package. I was initially helped by Ed with my tape purchase. He was helping someone on the phone and was VERY polite, helpful and professional to the person on the phone and also with me when it was my turn. When I went up to the counter to mail my package, the employees were also very friendly and professional.
Won’t be ever going to this place ever again. I’d give you 0 stars if I could.
You just lost a customer. Ive been getting stuff printed here for quite some time too, but this was it. I was charged $6 for 2 black and white copies. Two black and white copies were six dollars. 50 cents per copy (fine) but I was charged $5 for computer use. I sent the files through email from my home. The computer use was me standing next to the employee, who was asking me if it looked right. I guess that was me using the computer. If I had been told BEFORE that Id be charged that much, I would have politely declined and went somewhere else. So that is what I will be doing from now on. I wont be coming back here again.
I have visited this store several times and all the staff each time has been so very nice and struggle to get in and out of the store but the staff here has come out and helped me with getting in and out the door helpful. I am in a walker and struggle
Horrible customer service.. horrible representation of a chain. UPS . Base off the other review I’m shocked that their still in business . The guy Tom. Said as followed “ I don’t have to provided good customer service because I’m the owner “. Wow ! I took my same package to Kohl’s to have retuned to amazon and the customer services was Amazing. Thank you kohl’s for providing me the service I should have received at ups.
They are consistently helpful offering the best method of shipping for price or for timeliness. I have witnessed customers trying to scam this store with returns of packing tape where they did not know how to use them, they claimed, but I suspect they used it and wanted a refund on unused tape. Another disruption was the expectation that they would ship some other shipping firm’s items and left in a huff. If everyone lived the “Golden Rule” many issues would not occur. For example, there are a couple signs posting common sense rules that are entirely appropriate like “$5 minimum for credit card charges” but folks don’t care or respect the rules. This is a good store and a reliable vendor.
This store has offered me nothing but great service. Ed the owner is especially nice. His wife is also nice and they are training new staff and other family members to provide good customer service. I have recommended them to other businesses.
The store is efficient but they could stand to work a bit on their attitudes. Only time Ive ever seen the store owner nice and friendly was to this hot blonde chick that walked in the store. I thought that was pretty comical but other than that everyone here acts pretty monotone like they hate their lives.
I completely understand all of the one star reviews for this location (364 East Main St. Middletown De). I was charged $2 to have tape put a very small return to Amazon. I have made numerous returns to Amazon. At times I will have the UPS store tape my package. I have never been charged at any other location. Thank you cashier Penny for your top notch customer service that gos hand and hand with your horrible attitude. I only wish I could give this location zero stars!
Amazon Prime Member here. This location is horrible for deliveries. They lie and tell you something is wrong with the address label. They hold your packages longer after you complain to Amazon. You can see where your packages go and when they arrived using the Amazon app. They have messed my deliveries up so much that I requested for my packages to not go there. This place is a joke. This is the worse representation of a UPS chain. They should be demoted to FedEx.
They were awesome and helped me with my drop off perfectly. I appreciate it guys, sending you guys love 👌
I needed to ship two packages but needed to print 2 shipping labels first. I dont have a printer at home being as I use a Laptop. On the front of the store it says, We Print. Figured I could just print the 2 shipping labels there. When I approached the desk the lady greeted me by saying, What do you need?. Umm okay. Told her what I needed. She says, Well that will be $5 to use the computer and its 50cents a copy. I figured the 50 cents was going to happen and is fairly reasonable but $5 dollars for a link that I will sent you to print out? Lady was very rude. She kind of reminded me of the Grinchs wife. I ended up going to another UPS store that were very helpful. I wouldnt ever recommend this store. If it wasnt for the company I needed to ship to wanting me to use UPS I would never use them again.
Very disappointing experience. Stopped in to overnight a package to my daughter who is away at college. It was very important that she receive the package the next day. Paid extra to ensure delivery by 10:30 am.Package didnt arrive due to 2 errors made by the clerk entering the address. Manager refused to discuss a refund. I understand that I didnt catch the mistakes on the receipt (440 instead of 4400 in the street address and 20001 instead of 20016 for the zip). However, the manager was very dismissive and placed all blame on me for not catching the mistake. The address was read to the clerk 2 times. I should have caught it but the mistakes were the clerks. Terrible service by the clerk, Tom, and terrible conflict resolution by the manager.
Ive usually had good experiences at this store. Once the Store was closed as I got there a bit late and the owner opened the door and took my packages for me. Other times theyre pretty much by the book and get things done to spec which is good when youre shipping.
If there was an option to give 0 stars, that is exactly what I would give this location! The owner of this location is rude and has no idea how to speak to his customers. UPS did not make a delivery they should have made last Friday of packages I needed for Saturday. UPS said that I could pick it up in New Castle or at the Middletown location.Though I vowed never to go back into this store after a previous awful encounter with this man last year, I figured I was just going to pick up my packages why not save the time. Well, if I had known I would have to pay him $15 for the three boxes, I would have burned my gas and my time driving to New Castle to get my boxes. Granted it was an error on UPS part that I had to pay for the pick up, the way he addressed me from the beginning was unacceptable and rude. Totally unprofessional and definitely lacking of customer consideration. So if I have to give a star, let it be for the sweet cashier who was nothing but kind and pleasant. I am not sure how this man stays in business. I hate the fact that he got to keep my $15, but UPS did send me a $20 gift card for my troubles. I will make sure I never step foot in this UPS store ever again!
I dont use the store because Im in a different part of the country. They harbor spammers, though, and thats the sign of a business that just doesnt care. Ive received several spam messages with this stores address tagged to them, like this:The secret technology cable companies dont want you to know aboutIf youd prefer not to receive future emails, Unsubscribe Here.364 E Main St, Suite 1325 - Middletown, DE 19709
I needed 8 black and white copies made and was charged $4.00 for the 8 copies. Way to expensive for me to use. Wont be back, last of my business. Just went to Staples, 10 simple black and white copies were 11 cents a piece and spent $1.10 to get the job done. This UPS Store is such a rip off.
They are always so helpful and friendly!
The owner of this franchise, Ed, is the absolute worst! He has no clue what customer service is and is one of the rudest individuals I have ever came across in my entire life. He is an embarrassment to the UPS brand. I have no clue how he is in business with his disgusting attitude and poor service. I have only been to this store once and I’ll never be back. I’ll travel 20 minutes out of my way to give another UPS franchise my business.
Should have read the reviews before I went since I had the same experience as many. Worst UPS store Ive been to in this country and I ship out multiple packages every week. No greeting, no helpful employees and they want to charge $2 for a single piece of tape to tape my box with a prepaid label. They are clearly just trying to nickle and dime people who shouldnt be spending money at their store instead of providing quality customer service. I spend top dollar for next day air packages and never had issues with asking for a single piece of tape at other stores yet these guys are adamant that $2 for that piece is reasonable while trying to sell you a $4.25 roll of tape on the wall. They must not do very good business if they are just trying to squeeze pennies off everyone that walks in the door. Will never visit them again.
I went in with a prepaid shipping label to return an item. I asked for a small piece of tape to secure the sides of the small box. I was told that there would be a $2.00 fee for the tape or that I could buy a roll. I scrounged in my car (due to forgetting my wallet) and found $1.15. After going back in to see if they would offer some grace due to the circumstances, the manager (Ed) decline and instead, grabbed a roll of tape and began taping another box I n front of me. Then he said to the other employee, “Well, SHE can buy a roll and that way SHE will have some for the next time SHE returns something.” He spike as if I was not an actual person standing there. Horrible customer service from Ed. Will not be returning.
I am not surprised at the reviews for this location. The service is not customer oriented and the staff appear exhausted and bothered. As much as I love to go out of my way to patronize small business, I will not bother to go back.
I called this UPS store to find out if they can print three attachments, I send via email. When I got there to pick up the prints, the owner said I owe $5 for computer usage. I said, I never use any of your computers,l. He said he had to use his business computer, in this case I owe $5. I was very shock for this. I didnt wanna argue with him, so I paid for the item and left, when I went to the post office, I realize he did not make me all the copies I needed and I rushed back to this UPS store within 5min apart. I advise the manager/owner about how I didnt get all my copies. He said he gave me all my 3 color copies, even though my email instruction said print it in both color and b&w. This man refuses to reprint my b&w copies even though he acknowledged he only printed the colors. After 2 minutes of exchange of words, he reprinted my b&w for me. On my way out,,I notice my sensitive information I came there to print was still on the computer and a,customer was viewing it. I had to tell the customer exit out of the browser because is my personal informal. The owner has a bad customer service, he doesnt keep customers information very secure. I was charged for computer usagr, I never used. The owner is just a bad customer service personnel.
Go to a different UPS! Hopefully if you Googled the address for this location you will see this review! In conclusion: Your package will arrive at the location, but dont go to this location the staff is extremely lazy, unprofessional and simply rude. UPS is an awesome company, but avoid this location at all costs! I heard from several unhappy customers with this location, but I was able to experience it for my self...Visited UPS twice recently. First time I went to pick a package from the UPS store and asked if my package was there, I believe Tom said he was unable to check to see where the package was. Two minutes after I left I called UPS (not Middletown) and they said the package was at the location, I went back and my package was there.Second, I called this specific store to ask if I could pay for a package on Tuesday and then I would drop the paid and weighed package at a drop box on Thursday with the label. The representative on the phone asked Tom specifically if I could come into the store and have done what I wanted with my package - he said yes. When going into the store the owner and Tom were extremely arrogant, and unprofessional stating they could not do my request that just ten minutes ago they said they could. Then they said they could complete my request and after he entered all the information and gave me my quote, I stated I would not be using their packaging and I would purchase my own identical packaging to the one they gave me the quote for. After the owner stated he could not complete the request because I could not buy his $5 envelope, he said he was no longer able to complete the simple request. In conclusion, just dont go here! UPS is a great company, but clearly the staff at this location does not want to be here! It is not worse the hassle! I went to another location and they were able to complete the request and they were SUPER nice! Also, the request was able to be made online as well!Extremely lazy and arrogant owner and staff members. Avoid this location at all costs.
I read all these bad reviews on here and Ive never had a problem with them I drop stuff off all the time for amazon returns and they are always very nice and friendly to me. I dont believe they make any money from these drop offs but like I said always very nice to me.
Terrible customer service. The owner seemed angry that I wanted to use his business. His employees were very nice but something is odd about that owner. Simple exchange turned into some type of riddle. Ive never had such a difficult time shipping an item in my life.
I walked in with an open shoebox to UPS I needed one strip of packing tape to seal the Box The Man Behind the Counter told me 2 dollars ( I later find out he is the owner). I replied $2 for a piece of tape? He replied yes and attempted to sell me a roll if I didnt want to pay $2 for a piece of tape. I walked outside there was a UPS driver there I asked him if I could have a piece of tape he gave me one and taped my shoe box closed. I assure you this is the last time he will ever see me my family, or any business from my personal business. Please read the other reviews. This man and his operation is not customer fiendly. This man should not be in business in our town.
Stay away from this place and do your self a favor and go to a different ups store. I have used many ups stores and this place will rip you off for 2 strips of tape to close a box. I will never step foot inside again.
Yep!! Good to Go!!!
I have used this store multiple times for shipping, printing color maps, and also a recent issue with trying to get an item shipped back to DE from Texas. They have always been helpful and pleasant. I honestly dont know what these people who have left negative reviews are complaining about.I would use them over the incompetence at USPS any day. If you dont like their fees print and tape your stuff from home.
This is the worst UPS store. I wish they would shut this down or get new people. The man with glasses and white hair is extremely rude!!! I walked in and side hello he said nothing, but a woman who come After me said hello he said hi we will be with you shortly... the next town hall meeting in complaining about this man..Ididnt know you had to pay to use tape!! Are you kidding me!!! TAKE HIM OUT OF THERE!! IVE GONE TO PLENTY OF UPS STORES AND THEY D ONT DO THIS!!!!
Not sure why all the negative review. My visit was quite pleasant, very helpful and friendly staff.
I find the staff very friendly and knowledgeable and eager to help our business succeed.
The employees are extremely unfriendly and rude to customers. They grossly over price their services. They actually will charge you $2.00 for a strip of tape to tape a box but sell a roll of tape for $4.00 which you know is not the wholesale price they paid. I will use Mail Express from now on who doesnt charge you $5.00 just to sign on to their computer.
Friday, December 2 around 6:00 p.m. I entered the store to pick-up two packages that I intentionally routed to this store. I was met by a very pleasant lady who of course asked to see a valid ID. I provided her a driver’s license. Since I recently moved to DE, I did not have my NJ driver’s license updated to reflect a DE address. However, the pleasant young lady had no issue with my LEGAL & VALID ID, now here appears TOM. Tom starts off by saying I cannot pick-up MY packages because the address was different, he then asserted that the license technically is not a legal form of ID and the address must match - per UPS policy. Tom was rude, inconsiderate and could not see past the address. Needlessness to say, UPS customer service was okay with me showing another document that had the address and my name. TOM dont you worry, I will NEVER patronage your store again. I will also make certain I share the lovely experience with the national UPS chain.
Cost $7 to fax 4 pages local fax #!! Staff not at all friendly and act bothered to service you! Fed ex here I come. Won’t ever give this place my business again.
People have always been friendly and helpful. I’ve used this store for years
After I read prior reviews on how rude they are. I thought I would share how unprofessional they were today. The older man with glasses yelled at one of the employees there. She was helping a customer with her phone, seemed like the women didnt know how to foward an email so she was helping her, when he yelled across the store AMANDA, STOP TEXTING AND HELP THE CUSTOMERS! She informed him she was doing just that..I never really place reviews online but after reviewing how poorly this place treats customers, imagine working there.
The group here is amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks
I had the worst experience from any UPS store Ive ever been to. This store isnt customer friendly. The owner of the store was just as rude and non-helping as the employee he had working there. I would never encourage anyone to patronize this store. I drive 20 miles waste fuel to find some other place.. I really wish something could be done about it and new owners could take over.
I took two return packages into this location. The first package he attempted to scan the barcode and he said there was an issue with the label I printed. He couldn’t scan the second package either. The labels looked fine to me, however I think the issue was with a bad tape job over the barcode (by me). I was so frustrated I took it to the Glasgow UPS Store that I used for years before moving to Middletown. They were able to scan one package easily and the second package did have to be typed in (something the Middletown store didn’t even try). I asked if it would be an issue with UPS routing the package and he told me that they only use the QR code for routing and that it would be fine. I’ll be going out of my way to avoid the Middletown location from now on. The low ratings make complete sense to me. The staff could use some customer service training.
Ive been reading other reviews and frankly, I am shocked...I have been using this location since moving to Middletown in 2004 and have always had positive experiences and great service. I send international packages which are definitely more complicated and we have it down to a science. I have to tell you however, that if you want to avoid long lines and undue stress, get your holiday shopping or gifts at any time mailed out in a timely way. Also have your package properly prepared to mail when you get there. Half of the time, I watch customers taping and wrapping when I am in the store which leads to delays and stress. If you do have a problem, try speaking with the employees first before posting these awful reviews. I cant imagine that all of these scenarios are as bad as posted. I know each experience is individual but I have seen some unacceptable behavior from customers on numerous occasions that needs to be addressed as well.
Hours say 8 a.m. but no one is open
Rude, disrespectful personnel at this location. Not very helpful or knowledgeable.
The man working yesterday, Tom, I believe was his name, was not only rude to me but rude to the employees in front of a store full of customers. there’s no need for it!! it’s an uncomfortable situation.
Called the store to ask if they could print a label for me since the UPS truck didnt come to pick up my package. I didnt even get halfway through my question when I was interrupted and told to call the 800#. Was told that they were just a franchise and that they are not UPS. Not the friendliest person to deal with.
Price gouge. $ 5.80 to print 4 pages in b&w. I told them they were too high. If I werent in a bind I would have driven to FedEx office. The owner was rude. I told them this was my first and last.
Son and father are supposedly managers. Son tried to take my items after I refused to pay their packaging fee ($5) because he scanned the label already but didn’t inform. Both seem to have a problem with customer service so I let them know.
Excellent service and the staff are helpful.Have been going there for years.
I rarely ever actually go out of my way to make a negative review but Ed (owner) has earned my time. The owner has very poor customer service skills and refused to refund 2 fraudulent postage charges that they charged my debit card after I told them twice to remove my financial information from their computer many months ago. 3 more charges later totaling $40, I called them again 10/18/12 and demanded they remove my financial information. After refunding $30, It sounds like I basically have to cancel my debit card to get him to stop charging me for someone elses bill. On top of that sending me any kind of email confirmation of removal of my financial information was a continued waste of his time. you will have to take it up with the other company Very, very bad business practice and worthy of a complaint to the Attorney General were it not over $10. Beware of this UPS store, despicable business practice and rude owner.
Real terrible customer service here and the owner is rude. I will go somewhere else
Went into the ups store with a package and was immediately told i needed to find another location because they cant ship anything over 70lbs, when the shipping label clearly states take to any ups store. When asking why we needed to take it to another store they said that they arent UPS employees, and that it didnt apply to them, and they were rude about it.
If I could give no stars I would. These are the rudest and most unhelpful business owners I have ever experienced. I would rather drive 30 miles out of my way than step foot in their door. I will not give them another dime of mine. I hope they go out of business soon so we can get a UPS store I actually want to give my business too.
I needed to affix a small note on the side of my package. They wanted to charge $2 for tape. I get controlling cost, but I frequent other UPS Stores for business purposes and this was the first time Ive ever been asked to pay $2 for 5 inches of tape. When I asked if that was a new UPS policy, the woman replied I dont know what other people do, but you can take your package someplace else. I did just that based on the rudeness of the employee.
Took 3 employees to find a box which ended up being too big. Employee cut the box without telling the cost of 8.00. Due to the lack of correct size forced me to buy peanuts for an additional 6.00. Employee had an attitude during the duration of my contact and lacked an ounce of customer service. Bad enough for me to write a first internet review. Store is a joke.
They wanted $5.20 to print off a single 1 page document. Tried to charge $5 for computer use for a task that would be taken less than a full minute, disgusting
Super nice. Thanked for my business and helped me carry heavy stuff to my car.
Unwelcoming, no wifi PATHETIC
Very unhelpful staff. Acted like they couldnt be bothered with helping me.
First time in the store, everyone was extremely helpful!
If there was an option to give no stars I would. I was provided extremely unprofessional and rude service. Dont go to this store.
Totally unhelpful and overcharges for everything! Honestly dont know how they stay in business considering how many people in the area have so many problems with this location.guess well be driving to the bear location like so many others do.
It was the worst experience ever! The clerks were unable to handle 5 customers at a time. They were frustrated and tossed my box to the floor. I had to walk out before I lost my cool. I will never go there again.
Very poor customer service. Overcharges customers routinely for anything and everything they can think of. Use any other UPS location...
Rude staff
The guys here work slow
Update your Store hours
Wanted to charge $2.00 to tape a 5x2 inch label to a package.SEE YA!!!!
If No stars were an option I would choose that. Rude, unprofessional, and not helpful. I will never l go here again.
