Great place! Gary is very knowledgeable as a teacher or as a guitar/banjo tech. Ive only had exceptional service and it highly recommend this place to anyone. Prices for instruments are also very reasonable. Gary is a very honest man and will do you right.
I liked this place, but they told me they were closing down. They have lessons, Im sure they will still do that. Really nice people though.
This is a great, family-owned business. Ive bought multiple things there and had multiple things repaired and have never been dissatisfied. Usually, they go above and beyond. Price is always reasonable, but its not the price that draws me back. Its the service. Their main selection is for acoustic stuff, although they do carry a few things like electric pianos, amplifiers, electric guitar/bass and so forth. Plus, depending on what theyve repaired, you might even find used items for a great deal. They are well-known locally as folk musicians and if you have time to chat, you might make them well-known to you.
Im just starting out learning banjo and broke a string. I found this place and went in to get some strings. I ended up in a twenty minute conversation with one of the owners who was very friendly and helpful. I think what impressed me most was when I said I was going to buy two packs of banjo strings so Id have a spare on hand and he told me to wait until I was sure I liked the ones I had bought. Then he told me a way to make a banjo strap that was essentially free. He actually stopped me from spending money in his store to be sure Id have what I needed. That is top notch in my book. This place will always have my business.
They specialize in acoustic instruments including uks and banjos but also have electric. The owners are well regarded folk musicians who hold an acoustic jam session every Friday night. This is a good venue for beginners to advanced musicians and spectators alike.
Awful, underhanded, sleezy, unprofessional, greedy, childish. DO NOT go here for any kind of purchase or warranty repair of ANY sort. Theyve been reported over and over again by countless people. Theyre frauds, know it and want your money, at your loss. They verifiably didnt even do the warranty repair work that theyd claimed.I cant more strongly recommend finding someplace else to take your business. I lost money and time and patience with this place, dont make the same mistake I did.It will cost you.
My daughters take violin and the other takes guitars lesson. Gary and Kenny are good teachers to have.
Ive now had repair my vintage Fender Princeton and the bridge on my Yairi acoustic, and do a few other odds & ends for my guitars. Always high quality work, done on time, and very reasonably priced.
Horrible people. Very nasty, and rude. Will NEVER do any business with them. They are very unprofessional. If you dont believe me, ask all their competition. I even turned them in to the Yamaha Co. for their unprofessional behavior. Not even worth 1 star. I doubt they stay in business long.
Worst service ever. Always gone wount let you make dates up due to there vacations that they take and it cuts your paid for lessons. Also bought a brand new guitar from them and the person giving the lesson that works there told us the strings ar not good and need to be replaced but the owner will not do it. I wouldnt even give them one star but it made me. Spend your money somewhere els and with people that care about the success of the clients. These people are just in it for the money and there self.
Very small guitar selection, but they seem to do a lot of repair work.
