My husband and I, as well as their own employee, have sent photos and tried repeatedly to reach the manager AND owner about damage done to our rubber pool deck by spilled chemicals during weekly maintenance (both the maintenance and the deck aren’t cheap). We have completely been ignored and blown off. No call backs. No email responses. Despite repeated assurances we would hear from someone. But they’ve called me three times to pay the “outstanding” $70 chemical bill I’ve only been in receipt of for less than a week after it was postmarked on October 14th.Oddly enough just this morning I was assured once again they’d be reaching out about this issue of damage and while I haven’t heard back from anyone about that- I get this message to “rate their business”. It’s so bad it’s almost funny!

I put $20k on an above ground pool. 3 days later Bob James said the pool I contracted for had to be put in the ground for an additional $7.5k. I said I would think about it and other options. Several days later I asked for my deposit back because I wasnt ready to decide. Bob James refused to give me my money back stating that it was passed 3 day contract limit in Delaware so he cashed my check. I reminded him that his company could NOT deliver what I paid for so the contract was void from the get-go, and that the check should have been returned immediately regardless if I chose a different pool. I had to have my lawyer intervene to get my money back. Unethical and illegal business tactics. My feeling is that he would not have done this were I a man but in any case as the saying goes caveat emptor.

Pools & Spas Unlimited are amazing! We have been working with them for many years and their service is second to none. Their service is top notch and all their technicians are really friendly. They have great prices and treat you like family. I highly recommend them for all your pool needs. They give great advice and take pride in giving great service!

Bob James is terrific. He keeps you apprised in every step of the pool installation process. They work with you financially. They dont try to sell you unneeded stuff. They realize the pool is there to be enjoyed. Its not a symbol of aggravation and overspending disappointment. Mandi is the master at scheduling to pool completion.

I wish i could give u a 0 and post the picture of the $80,000 hole i now have in my backyard. My pool collapsed after 5 short years 10months ago and no one will even come out to assess the damage or return my phone calls! HORRIBLE COMPANY WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.... We were overjoyed to get a new cover installed on our Hot Spring spa by two excellent Pools & Spas Unlimited technicians, Miguel and Matt. Due to Covid it had taken many months for a new cover to be made and delivered. We had originally purchased the spa at Pools & Spas. It was difficult getting the new cover attached to the lifter because of space limitations, but Miguel and Matt were quick to assess the situation and got the job done beautifully! It was a pleasure working with such a friendly staff on location and at the store.

Once buy it-don’t count on them for anything! Tried to return the hot tub before ten days and they purposely ignored me and then of course it was too late. Tried all the way up to almost a year and they only offered to buy a 14k hot tub that I bought from them for $2500. Biggest rip off ever!!! Now I know why their other stores closed!

I want to thank and compliment Pools & Spa Unlimited, first their knowledge and unbelieveable products. My husband and I had our pool installed 2004. Completely awesome! Has been enjoyed to the hilt along with the outside kitchen. The durability of great work definitely proven. We now in 2021, upgrading, their crew came this morning installed the new filter system accomadating and replacing our other but so impressed by the courtesy given and requests satisfied with no hesitation cant wait till the new liner and salt system is complete but even more impressive when Mr Mark Henderson owner accompanied by staff took measurements heard my poor roar from my aged long-lasting filter which did us tremendous justice needed to be put to rest. Low and behold hey hey a knock upon the door and as described above. Removal, installation impeccable. Totally awesome my pool Angels Thank you sooooo much!!!

We bought a hot tub from them. They were candid about their supply and stock issues. We decided to buy the smallest, cheapest hot tub they had, off the show room floor. Nevertheless, we were always treated well. Delivery and set up were great. Ill recommend them to anyone in the area.

I went in there with literally no clue on how to manage a pool. They were so helpful and patient. The girl (its a shame I really wish that I could remember her name) went over everything with me. Explained step by step what I needed. She helped me find the products I needed and even helped me bring it to my truck. I was so embarrassed going in not knowing anything. Beware! Received estimate for NEW filter. Paid half down. Showed up to do the job with parts for a filter. Top/bottom. They never ordered the entire filter like agreed. That is an interesting way to make a profit. Then tell me they will do me a favor and just this one time, honor the estimate and reorder a New filter. No favors should be needed. Good luck.

Exasperating experience. Dont make the mistake we did: do NOT pay more than you have to in advance, or else theyll work really hard not to get things done. The worst part is having management question whether or not youre worth their time to get back to. Be prepared to chase them around and do a lot of waiting if you want a finished pool.

Superb service. Someone else built my pool and it developed a severe leak with the lining floating. They meticulously found the problem and fixed it. Now my pool is sparklingly clean with minimal work to maintain. Extremely satisfied and happy to be a customer.

My daughter and I raced to Milford and arrived just as they were closing. We are almost finished putting in out radiant pool from Pools and Spas.Overall, our experience has been satisfactory and I would most likely recommend them to others. Communication has been pretty good, I think it could be better but overall happy about it. For the most part, I was kept up to date on things and when they would occur. Weather always causes delays but that is nobodys fault.They have several crews that do each phase of the install, all of them were very professional and respectable. We had our orientation today with Nick and Alston and they were perhaps the most professional. They talked us through every nook and cranny of our system and provided tips and tricks to making sure everything stays running properly. They did a fantastic job and would give them alone a 5 star review but my rating is based on the overall project.

Great deal when I bought my Hot Springs (the best hot tub on the market, Ive had 2), but recent NEEDED service has been difficult to schedule...disturbing. When technician came for repairs, found flaws in same elbows on two of the pumps...Still have faith in Hot Springs. Love the saltwater system.

I am having pools and spas service my pool weekly after 15 years of doing it myself. Nick and Alston have been basically our workers and have done an excellent job. A different person came last week and I was so disappointed and not happy with my service. Nick is back today and I am thrilled!

Love the family owned and operated business. Customer Service is fantastic and the girls in the store are informative. We did have to wait a while to get concrete poured 98-9 weeks!), but that was mother natures fault. And well worth the wait, the longer your pool settles the longer your concrete will last:) Milford Pools and Spas gave us a personal feel we did not get with the BIG Pool companies. Plus the fact they are local you always have a real person to talk to meet with.

Initial contact and appointment setup was satisfactory. Bob came to my home, assessed my property, and provided several recommendations for an in ground pool. I decided on a fiberglass pool based on cost, warranty, and ease of maintenance. After the quote was negotiated to a reasonable figure I made the deposit and the process began. From that point forward it was extremely difficult working through the various schedulers and management. Communication between Pools & Spa staff, installers, and the customer needs significant improvement. Changes to the schedule were made without notification to me resulting in a significant inconvenience. When I approached the staff about communication issues I was referred to someone else, and then another, without resolve. This continued throughout the entire process of installation and delivery.The installers: I cant say enough about the installers. They were extremely professional, considerate of landscape, cleanliness, and care not to cause damage. They were eager to take the time to explain exactly what they were doing as well as next steps.There was a significant delay resulting from a vendor selling my order of stone (for the fountain facade) to another customer who was in a rush. Pools and Spa failed to notify me that the materials would not be available on the day installation was to occur. When I complained, the manager became argumentative and rude. I was not in a position to combat the situation as I had already submitted full payment.Overall, Im extremely satisfied with my pool, fountain, and concrete work. However, unless Pools & Spas Unlimited improves its business process and management staff I would not use them again nor recommend them to anyone.

We purchased our pool 4 years ago. At that time we shopped several pool companies and easily zeroed in on these guys (who were 70 miles away). They knocked out the pool in no time, went above and beyond on what they promised, and have been terrific to work with ever since. I would highly recommend.

Excellent service

One of the most exasperating experiences with a contractor in my 60+ years. If you work with them, you must be prepared to act as the project manager since there is virtually no management of the company. The GM, Heather Delgado, is over her head and the single point of failure for the company. If she doesnt handle it, forget it...and she often doesnt. Today I have a different company opening my pool for the season and learned that Heather & Company closed it down wrong...resulting in mildew in my system. Just the latest in a string of incompetent actions. I would give this company NO stars if I could...except that so many of their field staffers are hard working and sincerely try to do a good job. Its not their fault that the company is mismanaged. I must question how they have received so many 5 start reviews. It doesnt seem possible that the reviews are authentic.

We were very excited with our finished inground pool and whole patio that was done! We got a lazy L shaped pool along with stamped concrete around the pool and whole patio. It has turned out absolutely beautiful and we are very pleased with the service that they provided us!

The pool liner is pulling down at the step and we are awaiting a member of your insulation staff to come by a check it and do what repairs are necessary. Otherwise the new linens is great and salt system works well.
