I bought my fiances ring in may and opened up a Kay Jewelers credit card account. I was told there would be no finance charges, interest charges or anything until 12 months pass.Well since may I realize that my account is being charged EVERY MONTH with finance charges, interest charges, and now account assure (WHICH WAS NEVER AUTHORIZED).Its very frustrating because they say one thing and do another. And calling comenity bank is useless because they give you the run around and do not help people.Make sure to read everything and more because I was tricked. Good luck.
I honestly don’t think Kay’s even deserves the 1 star. If you purchase a gift here be aware that they do NOT give gift receipts or a store credit so you can exchange something if it is not to your liking or taste. The person that made the purchase has to be there to exchange or even to just return an item and have the funds replaced back to their card. This is the second time I’ve gone through this with them and the staff in Northborough, Solomon Pond Mall is so rude that I can’t believe anyone would buy anything there. I wanted to exchange the watch & necklace my husband got me for diamond earrings. They said it could NOT be done and they were NOT very nice about it. I have never heard of this as I had the original receipt and the 2 warranties in hand. All of the information needed was right there to just return the 2 items and they refused. If you’re looking to purchase a gift here be fully aware of their unheard of return policies.
Went into the store this past weekend with the intention to purchase a specific ring enhancer to “upgrade” my wedding ring. I worked with Ayah who was great. She was very attentive and took the time to ask what exactly I wanted to accomplish with the look of my ring. She ended up showing me numerous other options, which all worked better with my oddly shaped engagement ring. I ended up going with one of her recommendations. I love what I purchased and I can’t wait to get it back from being sized!
They screwed me over. I was paying a high payment per month to avoid paying interest and was 2 payments away from paying off my Fiancés ring. They were sending me statement with with no indication that my promo offer was about to expire and hit me with a $1200 interest charge. They refuse to let me pay off my account to avoid the charge. Very misleading and very unaccommodating! Screw you
I shopped here for years until I dealt with Ayah. This review is based on customer service experiences within the last year. Engagement ring = stone fell out in 1 day; Mother’s Ring = stone fell out; Birthstone ring = stone cracked; Birthstone ring = stone replaced and fell out in 1 day.Back in October of 2020, I called Kays to determine if I had the extended warranty on a ring I purchased for my Mom. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Ayah. Rude, condescending and nasty don’t sufficiently describe her. I asked for a store manager’s name after trying to discuss the issue with her and was refused. I requested a district manager name and was refused. I was told “you can be a detective on someone else’s time”.I called the main number at Kay’s and spoke with a rep. I explained my experience with Ayah and the Millbury, MA location and was told I’d receive a call back. Was given a transaction number and never received a return call. It’s now 90 days after that call.I’ll never buy another piece from Kay’s again. The jewelry is inferior and the customer service with Ayah is beyond horrendous. Granted, after my first few experiences with stones falling out, I should have moved on. I stayed because of the customer service. It’s amazing how a bad experience leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
I will be calling corporate on Monday. They will be hearing my mouth. I am so angry at the customer service I received here today. Will never purchase another item from here as long as I live. I will continue with my inspections and warranties but will never buy anything
I always feel like an inconvenience at this location. We purchased our wedding bands here back in July and both of ours were sized incorrectly.. was told it would be the same size as my engagement ring but it is larger. Salesman added the protection plans on both of our rings without telling us (we would have purchased anyways but that was pretty shady). When we went to pick up our rings, we arrived an hour before they were set to close but as we walked in the woman huffed and puffed about forgetting to lock the door. They rushed to get us our rings and get us out the door as fast as possible. My husband and I recently got married and that is why I am just now realizing our rings were sized incorrectly and if I wasn’t rushed out the door that day, I would have realized it then. Poor and disappointing experience.
Do not go here unless you work with Patrick.. Tina who i believe is the assistant manager screwed my rings up!! ALL 3 OF THEM!! She was awful she doesnt have a care in the world. We went into purchase a wedding band for my engagement ring, we picked it out and it looked good. We sent it out to get soldered together and sized. It came back both 2 different sizes.. We also bought another ring for myself. We sent that out that same day to get sized and it came back 2.5 sizes to big!! So once again i am without my rings. it was obvious Tina didnt give two cares in the world that she messed it up. Patrick helped me to resolve this problem. Wish we went to him in the first place. They have had my rings more than i have. Needless to say avoid here unless you make an apt with Patrick! DO NOT GO TO TINA!!!!

Went to look at wedding rings and when we walked in we were immediately greeted. Sat down and had 2 people assisting us. They were both wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable, listened to what we wanted and we never felt any pressure to purchase right there and then (even though we did!). Was happy from the time we got there to the time we walked out. Wonderful place!

Came here after a bad experience at the auburn mall location and worked with Jean. She was amazing. She listened to everything we were telling her as far as what I wanted for our wedding rings. She spent a good hour and a half with us looking at so many different options. We finally found what we wanted and made our purchase. We left very happy and cant wait for the rings to come in! Jean had great customer service and was willing to work with us. You could tell she cared about what you wanted, not about making a sale.
I had my ring resized and repaired for loose gems. The price was reasonable considering the labor and addition of gold it required. The fit is perfect! The staff is very professional and friendly! Love going to the Blackstone Shoppes location.
For years have bought all of my wife’s jewelry here. Her wedding ring needed appraisal for insurance. They told her the ring was so valuable that it needed special engraving and appraisal.Almost $600.00 dollars.Ring came back at half of what they said it would. Then they never put any name on it. Now they want to charge us more to add her name.Stay away. You have lost my respect and business.
Worked with Janine (an employee) to find the perfect engagement ring for my girlfriend, she was very knowledgeable and did everything she could to help me pick the best one. Its not everyday you make a connection with someone working at a jewelry store and she was just fantastic.

I have purchased a few things from here including my engagement ring.I guess when the people working here are making sales and getting a percentage of your purchase, yeah they will play nice, but when it comes to only you going in for maintenance on your purchases I have found the manager of this branch to be a bit Disrespectful and lacking professionalism. I will be going to a different Kay jewelers location because of this.
They sized me incorrectly twice, and sized my husbands ring wrong as well. Terrible knowledge of how to size. Even worse if you have a disability or illness, you will not be welcome here. As I was near fainting, wearing a cast on my foot, a sales woman who had been rude to me, brown mid length hair, middle aged with glasses, threatened to call the police because I had taken a seat and was trying to calm myself to not faint. Just because someone doesn’t look sick doesn’t mean they aren’t, and this store doesn’t welcome you if you have any health issues they can’t see. This issues was also never addressed, so it makes me believe they don’t care about how they’re employees treat paying customers. DO NOT GO HERE. They’ll ruin the excitement of engagement with how awful they are.

My daughter and I stopped in to this KayJeweler yesterday because we were running errands at Blackstone Shoppes and I noticed that my daughters newly acquired diamond ring (from an out of town jeweler) was way to loose. I was worried about her losing it. Debbie at Kays was so kind and helpful at having a temporary plastic guard put on it until we can get to the point of purchase to have it resized. Even though the ring was not purchased at a Kay Jewelers, and we wanted the other jeweler to size it (due to in-house warranty), Debbie treated us like first rate customers! Frankly I dont buy a lot of jewelry but if and when I do, I will go and see this special lady simply because of the excellent experience we had. Integrity in a jeweler/salesperson is everything. Shop here, ask for Debbie, Id bet the farm you wont be disappointed!

My husband and I have been using Kay Jewler’s for 15+ years for all of our jewelry needs. I am so astonished and appalled by the steady decline of not only customer service, product but policy as well.One of the first rings we have ever purchased from them is this simple sapphire and diamond band. I routinely go in to have my items inspected but since we have so many pieces purchased at so many different times (always with an additional lifetime warranty) we went in to get my wedding and anniversary band put together (which was its own fiasco - they soldered the wrong pieces and then engraved the wrong band, then waited 3 months for them to correct it, had to rescheduale photo shoots and everything) and had all of our pieces inspected at once then.Flash forward to this evening, when I go in to have my rings cleaned and asked themto take a look at my oldest band as it was beginning to snag on things, I feared one of the prongs was bent. Well it turned out that some of the sapphires were chipped or had surface abrasions, and that I could not send it in for repair unless I paid out of pocket. Now keep in mind, we’ve spent thousands of dollars with this company, purchased warranties on all pieces etc and have had quite a bit of custom work done. The woman behind the counter told me that none of my inspections were “put into the iPad” and that makes the sapphire band “out of warranty” and I could pay to have them replace the stones then re-up the warranty. I was completely flabbergasted. At this point, I would much rather retire the ring instead of spending another dime at this company.I do have to say, the two young women who helped clean my ring were very kind and remorseful of the rediculous policy and ultimately the stores mistake (we did have everything inspected but clearly it did not register that day), however their managers should take a few notes from the young women and work on their customer services skills. The rudeness and condescending tone we could have done without.I urge everyone reading this to make the choice to go to a more local, smaller jeweler, who can do proper repairs and custom work onsite instead of shipping it out to another Jewler chain to only have the item held up for months at a time, to then find out it was improperly made. Find a Jewler who will uphold their warranties and stand behind their products!It is very unfortunate, but Kay lost a good customer in us.

Great place I go here for all my jewelry needs. They never over sell you, if you say you have a $200 limit they show you whats in your range, they do occasinaly show jewelry that is a little higher but they wont force you into liking or spending more, they use it to explains the diffrences. I also like how they can make coustom jewelry. Very knowlagable staff. I have yet to find someone at this store I dont like, and I have never been oversold or returned a product. They will work with you to find the exact thing you came in for. My fiancée and I will be going soon to start looking at rings. Great place, the best out there.
