This store may be cluttered and somewhat smaller than many antique stores, but it is one of the most impressive and well-curated collections I have seen in my travels.Many antique stores partake of a quantity over quality approach, meaning that one has to sift through a lot of junk to find good items. At The Browsing Barn, every item is a unique treasure. This is a cool little place tucked on the side of the road on a sharp corner. Blink your eyes and you’ll miss it. We were there recently for an outside estate sale and there was quite a bit to choose from. There are beautiful upscale choices inside- flow blue China and stemware to confederate artifacts. The people are friendly and knowledgeable. Check their hours as they close early. Take cash because they do not accept cards if any kind.

Much larger inside than it looks when you drive up. Lots of stuff and lots of quality as well. Friendly, informative staff. Open only on the weekend.

In full disclosure, I help the owner, Jerry Ellington, out on occasion. This is a wonderful antique shop located in an old country farm house (built in 1904). It is filled to the brim with antique and vintage furniture of all kinds. You can also find vintage china, crystal (Heisey, Fosteria and Fenton, to name just a few), Roseville and Hull pottery, lamps, pictures, civil war items, coins, knives, books, record albums, old toys, cast iron, magazines, Christmas items, even a wide variety of pipes ......you name it, he has probably got it! Hours are limited to Fridays and Saturdays, from noon to five, but you can call for special appointments, if you are in the area. Drop by, if you have the chance. Its like stepping back in time.
