I truly enjoyed the Handgun permit class. Our instructor, Andy was great! Very knowledgeable, patient, and he had a great sense of humor. He definitely made me more comfortable about using my weapon. I learned a lot!! Thanks a bunch!!

This is a great place to visit for firearms training and has some of the nicest staff around...

I come here a few times a year, and always had pleasant experiences here. No issues renting lanes, or purchasing ammo when needed. Theyll even respectfully recommend a firearm for you based on your experience and training(if you dont bring your own, of course). If youre not in the Millington area, its a bit of a drive but its worth it because of the experience and rates. Highly recommended.

Took my firearm training course here 13 years ago I have to say they have the friendliest staff ever and they were helpful. Wish I could give this place 10 ☆cause they deserve it👍

Go there every time I am in the area. Great place to shoot. Common sense safety rules, never had a safety issue/concern here. Helpful staff. Its the only range I use. I have my own range at home but this is a good change from the norm.

I took my armed guards an hand gun permit class an my hand gun here the staff was very helpful an nice its not the best looking because its a lil rundown but they still get the job done. My instructor was very nice an very patient with everyone this place was recommended to me so I would recommend it to others

Been going there for over twenty five years and it just gets better. Nice people with a wealth of current marketing information and know how. They are very safety oriented, which is a breathe of fresh air now days, with everyone thinking they are an expert until an accident happens. Most places would have you unload on line while facing down range, but with their oversight this is generally not necessary. Ive sold several guns there on consignment. They recommend what the market value is but dont require you to honor their suggestion. I normally dont, but that is my option. Of all the ranges around, Top Brass is the most laid back and relaxing to shoot at. Everyone there will help in any way they can. The state handgun permit classes are relaxed, informative, enjoyable, and reasonably priced. A hard combination to beat in anyones book. Top Brass Inc. is one of the best kept secrets around. If its good enough for me, its good enough for you!

Went here for the 8 hour gun permit class. The class is pretty interesting, youll learn the basic laws and discuss what you would do in certain situations. At the end of the 150 page slideshow youll take a multiple choice test that is 50 questions and you must make a 70% to pass. Honestly, if you paid half attention in the class you should be able to ease through it. After the multiple choice test youll go to the firing range to take a shooting test which was really fun and very easy, just make sure you follow your instructors order to a tee inside the shooting range because they take safety very seriously. Overall I would recommend this class to anyone whos looking to get their handgun permit or just wants to become educated on pistols.

$10 for the range fee and shooting all day (indoor range). Not bad, but the $10 doesnt include anything else you may need like targets/etc. Went on a weekend morning and not bad. But for an indoor range it was kinda warm in there and the ventilation seem really poor. The appearance outside matches the inside. But the service was really nice and courteous.

Great place to take a class for your TN handgun permit. They clearly know their stuff. Not too busy and great for one on one conversation when you have questions for your instructor. Great guys, great advice, and great customer service.

Been coming on occasion to Top Brass to use the​ range for about 25 years.Never had a problem following their range rules or finding what I needed. I took my permit class here & got good advice on where to file the paperwork. I sure wish that someone hadnt violated the rules and ruined things for other customers.

Very nice, helpful folks. Decent prices, especially on the range. Handgun Carry Permit class was very professional and instructive. Some of the negative reviews are (IMHO) unwarranted. A gun shop and range is no place for folks who think that strict safety rules dont apply to them!

Small cozy range owned and run by nice folks. There was a negative review below about the counter person acting rude and pompous. I had a similar experience once, but that was not normal. All ranges do NOT allow gun handling in front area. They have a gun store, classes and range.... Millington is a small Navy town North of Memphis. I like the drive to the the country. I bought two guns there and they let me use the range at no charge to test them. Once I asked and got some instruction to familiarize me on the weapon. I appreciated that. One gun I bought was new, the other used in new condition. I got great deals on both. No complaints. I moved and not as close as I like, but still try and make it up there when I can.

I accidentally left an item on the counter because i was very irritated and distracted by something personal and left the store. I received a call about 10 minutes later after i left and it was the manager telling me that i had left the item. By the time i returned, the store had been closed for about 20 minutes. The manager returned the item with a smile and did not gripe at all about my stupid mistake.She could have just closed up and turned off the lights and made me come back another day when i was back in town but instead she went above and beyond what was asked of her and ensured that she had returned my item.THANK YOU TOP BRASS

A really great place to go to shoot handguns. Make sure you buy the bullets at the location and tell the store clerk that you will be shooting them there. They have a core deposit on bullets that you buy and remove from the store, I have never seen this in the past but apparently its pretty common in Tennessee.

Horrible place. Yalls younger employees gun knowledge sucks thats not the worst part tho. Yall ordered me the wrong grip for my revolver and when I call backthey give me false names so you never know who your really speaking with .I spend atleast$60 every single session by myself but Ill stay at home now yall lost my business ✌️

I don’t go to the range no where near as often as I would like. I will say that every time I’ve been here the staff has ALWAYS been excellent. I’m fairly new to firearms still learning everyday about ammo and differences between this and that. I’ve taken me gun safety class and permit class now and know a little more than before. But these folks have come out on the range to assist me with sight issues (I had a crooked eye haha) even when I was nervous shooting a new shotgun that I had just bought, they didn’t make me feel stupid or a bother. The gentlemen that helped me laughed with me not at me, came out on the range showed me there was no sever recoil and made me feel much more comfratable about shooting. A big THANK YOU to Top Brass I will, for as long as I’m in Memphis, always use your range!

Well its been quite long while since I have been to Top Brass. I took a coworker there this week, and found that they no longer allow you to use ammo with steel in it. I had been many times and never been asked to check my ammo. Which by the way, their ammo is 17.50 for a box of 50 re-manufactured. I also checked on some Glock mags which were 34.50 a piece. The lady behind the counter insisted it was their standard price and had been for long time. I suggest that you steer clear of Top Brass. I wont be going again, too expensive. I spent in one day what I spend for a whole year membership at Tennessee Sports Foundation in Jackson, Tn.

Took my gun permit class here back in July and had a great time. The instructors were very helpful, and I would recommend anyone considering taking their gun permit class or looking for a place to shoot to go take a look over there.
