A decent Safeway, clean, beyond ample parking. Good alcohol selection, large fresh produce section. Clean in store bathroom. In a retail plaza with large selection of restaurants a Staples and Bev-Mo just to name a few of the other stores real near by. Has a Starbucks located inside, Sushi counter, Sub sandwich counter, decent cold case at the entrance of prepared sandwiches and food plates. Great for food on the go.

Store was really crowded. This particular store (Milpitas) has a lot of hot food offerings and a good variety of heat n serve meals too. Store is clean, easy parking but not enough cashiers.

We were looking for Phantom Bride Deftones Belching Beaver IPA, and drove out to this Safeway. Its in Milpitas, not our neighborhood store. The craft beer section (the whole liqour section really) at this Safeway was on point! Like a good liquor store. The variety is above and beyond what you expect from a grocery store. The labels pop. Its well organized. Its exciting and as a consumer its fun to look through for a favorite (why Im there) and to try something new.Then, as if I needed anything else. Ken, asked if we needed any help. He pointed out some fun new stuff, gave us info on our favorite beer, and really went above and beyond what I would expect from Safeway. (Were walking distance to Midtown, and honestly we avoid it like the plague. But will most definitely be driving out of the way to THIS location. Because Ken is a person who clearly has a passion for his job!) Thanks Ken, and whoever manages this store, Ken is a star employee! Keep him, pay him, hes worth every penny.

Nice, clean, well organized groceries. Strawberries and some other fruits are more expensive compared with Sprouts and Wholefood. Vast parking area. Easy access from 680 and Calaveras.

I love going to this Safeway in Milpitas. Friendly cashiers and employees. They have a cafe and Starbucks with a nice area with tables and chairs that are nicely sanitized and clean. Always take the push carts that are in the cart area by the entrance door because it is sanitized and you can double sanitize it yourself because there is a bucket of sanitized wipes at the entrance door... which I like. Their lunch bar and sushi bar are pretty good too. Their foods at the lunch bar all taste good to me. Their samosas are huge and overpriced... but the rest of the products and their items on sale are great. I like that they have a large variety of flowers and roses ... including balloons. They have a pharmacy too. This Safeway in Milpitas is open until 2am. This is a great grocery store to go to when you work at night until midnight or if you are a noght owl person 🙂👍👍

This Safeway is a bit dated, but it does the job. Parking can be a bit to handle, but the selection of groceries is what youd expect from a Safeway and things are clean. The overall exterior could use a makeover, but worth a visit if you need to get some groceries in Fremont.

Lots of selections. Cashier are all polite and very helpful. Clean in and out. Parking space can be crowded because no one wants to park in the other side.

It was a terrible experience for my daughter and I at Safeway pharmacy in Milpitas today. We asked the on duty Safeway pharmacist to transfer an antibiotic prescription from CVS pharmacy to Safeway pharmacy because CVS does take our insurance. We were told by the pharmacist that they will call for the transfer right away but it will still take about an hour because she has a lot of prescriptions before ours and we will get a text message when the prescription is ready for pick up.We left the pharmacy and came back 1 & 1/2 hours later only to found out they had not got the transfer because…I don’t care what the reason was. If the prescription was not ready by the time she (Safeway pharmacist) said it would be then she should let us know. Anyway, her pharmacist intern called CVS and got the prescription transferred over the phone within 3 minutes…But this was not the end of the story.We were then told that my daughter was not covered under my Valley Health Plan. Of course the pharmacist and the intern were WRONG. At this point I got irritated and had the prescription transferred to East Valley Pharmacy of Valley Medical Center. And “yes” the prescription was covered by the insurance.

Why does Safeway find it acceptable to only have a few cashiers working at a time while also having the slowest checkout process imaginable. Selection and prices suck too, it’s Safeway.

When shopping at night, I believe after 10:00PM, the left entrance to the store is locked, so that all customers must enter and exit from doors on right.

Fantastic caring management!In July 2020, I was transporting a 90 yr old Veteran using a Walker who slipped & made a large spill [bodily].Management was beyond any Ive seen handling something like this. All positive, caring & no guilt!I overheard the manager [was it Dave or maybe Rick? Too long ago to recall now] teaching his young staff that we all will get old & all at some time need help from others!So sorry I forgot to post this earlier when I knew names!I cannot say enough positives about how well handled this unusual event!Congrats Safeway Corp & those employees at this stre... cherish knowing a rare best of managers Ive seen in my 6 decades of living!

We use 2 Safeways, one a mile away, the other five. The closest is older, poorly stocked, and has only mediocre meat and bakery departments. The furthest is like heaven on earth with excellent meat, bakery, fresh vegetable, flower, pharmacy departments, and so much more. Needs to be more consistent in quality.

This rating is strictly for phone service. No one ever answers the phone and when you try to connect directly to the department you wait on hold and then it returns back to the main menu repeating itself. It took me more than 10 minutes trying to get a hold of someone in the bakery and at customer service, to which I never got a hold of anyone. The music plays and then the recording repeats itself. I don’t think this is ideal customer service for people that are trying to call over the phone. No one is going to waste their time and gas driving over to a store when they should be able to provide the information you need first hand via telephone so you do not have to make a blank trip. Some may try and make an excuse to say the store is busy. This could be true, however, phone service is a part of customer service and they are slacking big-time when it comes to this.

Not enough handicap parking spaces(4 filled), too many pick-up groceries parking spaces (12 unused). Good way to treat us disabled folkes.

Nice Safeway grocery store, I’ve been to worse. Grumpy, straight faced, miserably unhappy to be there, sorry to choose this as a career must be part of the job description because that’s what I mostly encounter at every Safeway when it’s closing time. But overall it’s a nice store, no bad experiences.

Meat & Produce departments are awesome and checkout lines are short and quick for the most part.

This Safeway felt really big. Lines were not long at the time we were here. Most items were restocked. And employees were very courteous. Will definitely be going back to this store.

Well, i dont normally do these mundane businesses, but the jalapeno cheese bagels were so much better than other locations that I had to give them kudos. So much cheese and jalapenos they were delicious

They had seeded watermelon and they were sooooooo juicy......and huge. My daughter was like hauuu? Seeded is they way to go if you actually like the taste. So many people are really clueless when it comes to some of the original types or kinds of fruits. No such thing as a personal watermelon when I was young.

Just my local Safeway that I frequent. Nothing much to say. No complaints.

I absolutely love love love shopping at the Safeway in Milpitas. The staff is always friendly, the store is always clean, and its brightly-lit so you can see everything clearly. With the new rules of having to wear masks its nice that its still very welcoming. I definitely recommend people to shop at that location

Spacious interior, clean floors with shelves fully stocked, lots of parking, shopping carts are always put away nicely and hand carts are normally readily available at the entrance. The deli and bakery are fantastic. Sometimes a couple of the self-check out machines are out of order at the same time which can back up the line a bit... but that will naturally improve itself over time. The staff are also really pleasant and efficient.

This Safeway is expensive in comparison to other Safeways.

Safeway is overpriced this location their employees are rude except for maybe one or two dont even go on a rush because lines and check out takes longer than your shopping and NEVER USE THEIR RESTROOM its disgusting obvious sanitary issues!

Last so many years I have been buying various grocery items and vegetables from Safeway.Every time I feel happy and contented with both the things I bought and the persons(men and women)working there. So I will continue going to Safeway always without wavering of the mind. Many times some people persuaded me to go other stores but I did not listen to them ! I love Safeway because there is no other shop like Safeway.
