When the old A3 demands another sacrifice, Further Performance is the place to bring it. I love the vibe of this place and Tristan the owner is a great guy. There are lots of neat cars and motorcycles parked around the premises and its easy to see they live and breathe this stuff. Hes bailed me out more than once and Im happy to direct people there. (Though as I understand it, its getting way out of hand - book early!)

In 5 minutes they diagnosed my car. Look my previous mechanic had my car for 3 weeks (5 actually but had to shut down for 2 weeks because of the flue). And it still was not fixed. Further Performance hooked up the Computer to the car. The mechanic sed do this and this… It’s running perfect. Look their is no substitute for an experienced mechanic. Their awesome!

Great service with fair pricing on what they do. I have an MK 7 Golf R and they service it pretty good. If you want to tune your German, by all means this is the place (closes to the TC too) to go. Tristan is the expert and you will be jn good hands.

Its very difficult to find small businesses this direct and honest these days. Every time Ive gone in they are respectful, straight-forward, and seem to have a better idea of how to resolve your issues than a VW dealership. FANTASTIC service! My wife and 4-year old son and I were driving cross country in our 2002 Eurovan Weekender when our serp belt shredded and our power steering failed completely. I called Further Performance and Tristan correctly diagnosed our problem over the phone, then promptly ordered the necessary parts so work could begin as soon as we arrived by tow. Not only did the mechanics know their stuff, they gave our family a loaner car for a few hours so we could get something to eat while they worked. The work itself was top-notch. They cleaned the effected area of all belt shrapnel, replaced the broken parts, and even checked our tire pressure to ensure we were good to continue on. Because of this shop, we were able to keep our camping reservations in Badlands, Tetons, and Yellowstone without missing a beat. We would recommend Further Performance to any VW owners. A great place to go when you want fair priced and higher quality work than what a dealer can provideI was having oil consumption issues (1L/1k miles). Went to the dealer and paid over $300 to have it investigated. They had no solution and did nothing.Went to Further Performance to have it looked at and have my car tuned (Audi 3.0 TFSI +~100hp and ft/lb) and Tristan recommend an oil change (with different spec oil)After the tune and new oil, I am no longer having oil consumption (2.5k miles in)Additionally, Tristan is very knowledgeable. The APR tune I wanted had bugs in the code for my car and he recommended a tune from HP Motorsports which worked flawlessly.

I took a 2001 Porsche 911 into Further Performance to have them do a Pre-Purchase Inspection before I committed to buy. It was a great experience talking with the techs and Tristan. Tristan let me in the back to see the underside of the car etc, so I could see for myself. All in all a rad place to get your European vehicle maintained, modded or race car built. Further Performance just prepped our microbus for another major trip -- were going back to Oregon coast where I took the 2014 beach photo below.The repairs done in 2016 are holding up fine: transmission rebuild still great, steering still precise without the loose wandering it had before.

I have nearly 15 years of experience not only working with businesses of ALL kinds, but also with a variety of customer service related facets.I have only had the pleasure of working with 2 personnel here, but believe me when I say that BOTH were top notch, period!With a glitch occurring with my software they installed nearly 2 years prior, and running it flawlessly, a very rare occurrence happened. I was able to make an appointment promptly, which is always a GREAT start when theres a concern with your only vehicle. Upon arrival, Tristan obtained a brief explanation and took my vehicle into the garage. Despite not finding the exact cause, he did reflash the file with hope of just trying to do something. It didnt help that APR customer service was non existent seeing as he was on hold for nearly a half hour, but with no support from the tuning company, he took it into his own hands and was willing to try troubleshooting with the knowledge at hand!Luckily for me, the engine code hasnt returned since the reflash, so his efforts definitely paid off! From a BIG PICTURE standpoint however, this is the 2nd occasion where they promptly and professionally took care of my concerns, and I could not be ANY happier, seriously! These guys have went above and beyond with me, and thats honestly a hard thing to accomplish with my firm but fair customer service standards developed over the past 15 years.Ultimately, not only would I recommend Further Performance to anyone and everyone WITHOUT even thinking twice, but I will also be a customer of theirs until it is no longer an option, end of story!Cheers,Norm Picha

Good repair service. Honest and upfront about what needs to get repaired and what is not a priority. Did misdiagnose a minor thing: the need for a fuse box when the real problem was a bad/ corroded ground wire to the engine, but no one is perfect....

I had an appointment June 7th at 2:30 pm to have inlets installed in my 2008 bmw 335i, when i got there i had to wait till 3:30 pm till my car was even looked at. The guy at the font desk originally quoted me for an hour even after seeing the kit online, but when they looked and realized it was going to be a 3/4 hour job they tried telling me the kit would not fit. All that needed to be done was using a heat gun to remove the plastic connectors on the OEM diverter valves return tubes. The mechanic acted like it needed to be shaved down or fabricated to fit my vehicle. SO, they they charge me 2 hours of labor and then tell me they are 3 to 4 weeks booked out. Pretty funny how they call themselves a performance shop when they cant do a job that people in their garage are having done in a couple hours.

These guys genuinely like to help their customer and share their passion in German cars. The shop pet Lucy is the sweetest pitbull Ive ever met.

Back in May 09 I was driving cross country from Oregon to Pennsylvania and my 1990 Jetta started leaking gear oil from the axle flange seal.I left a message late night on the voice mail and Tristan Henderson the owner called me back. These guys fixed my car first thing in the morning and charged me a really kind price.Good mechanics are hard to find, these guys knew I would probably never take my car there again and they still gave me A+ service and charged me a very fair price (cheaper than I expect)

I had a 2001 Audi Allroad that flooded the inside of my car due to blocked drains under the front window cowl. Unknown to me, I later discovered that this was due to a design defect and a judge ruled against Audi in a class action lawsuit in 2009. Unfortunately, the Minnetonka Audi dealer performed a pre-purchase inspection and never informed me about this problem and that I needed to clean the drains at least once a year.In any case, because all of the computer modules under the floor had to be replaced. My insurance company wanted to replace with salvage modules but Tristan at Further Performance worked with claims adjuster to recover full value of my car as there was no guarantee that salvage parts would notpresent continuing problems in the future.Following this experience, I brought a 2006 Audi A6 to Further Performance for a pre-purchase inspection and Tristan identified several repairs that were needed before he would sign off on the inspection. As a result, the seller agreed to correct these items at his expense which saved me many dollars. Beyond that, Tristan (and Mike) have always been willing to answer follow up questions I have had since my purchase and I will definitely be taking the Audi to Further Performance for future maintenance and repairs...Great Guys!!!!
