Store was clean and well laid out. I went to look at a wreath, supposedly 4 in stock and none to be found. 70% off fall decor included Halloween and Thanksgiving, which seemed pretty good for late Oct.

I am not a fabric person. We were doing a decor project in the office and needed some fabric to finish it. I was surprised by the sheer variety of options and the staff walked me through the store to pick out different options that could work after we told them what we were looking for. They cut it to length and we got out pretty quickly. I literally cannot think of another store where I would go, so Im glad they are here!

Great customer service by Carlinda!! Very, very friendly, welcoming, informative, & patient! She searched the whole store looking with me for what I needed. She really seemed to care. Joanns usually has a good selection of craft and fabric supplies, so its a good place to stop. They have a little bit of everything. That being said, the layout of this store location is a bit odd, and it looks a bit stuffy and rundown. Not a store Id like to spend a lot of time in. Good for a quick in-and-out supply run.

I had such a great experience here. Two employees (I wish I could remember their names!) helped me choose fabric to reupholster our dining room chairs, and they really went out of their way to help me find what I needed and to cut the fabric to size. I was very unfamiliar with how to do what was needed, and they really gave me a confidence boost! Im not a person who writes reviews in general, but I feel this one is warranted.

My very first time shopping at Joann Fabrics. I stopped and asked a staff member to show me around to show me the ropes (how to shop there). She did and the experience was very good. I was shopping for fabric for acoustic panels and without the help, it would have taken twice the time. They have a huge selection and you can even shop online and pickup in the store. Thank you for being there!

Store was nearly empty only saw two other patrons shopping but was clearly to busy to gather my previously ordered online purchase made an hour and 20 mins prior to my arrival . Mind you the order consisted of 4 different sizes of their plain white shirts totalling 8 shirts in all. That was it. Nothing else. And so when I arrived and I walked back through the store found the shirts in according sizes and bam all off 3 mins was had. (Mindfully aware Im from outta state so I had no clue where anything was in the store.) 3 mins and the reason I was given that my order wasnt ready was simply that they had 2 hours to complete it. Fortunately I was able to be cool and they honored the online discount which was my only reason for ordering online anyways .... did I mention this was my first order online pickup in store.... ever. Not so sure I wanna use this feature with stores if this is how it plays out.

My daughters just took my disabled mother to this store. While the merchandise is fine and they shop there often, my mother was quite disappointed to learn they do not have a working electric scooter nor a working wheel chair. That is not ok for any reason. Fix the problem forthwith and make sure you are able to serve your customers who are differently abled. Thank you.

This is a great place but is in a compressed area. Try not to feel claustrophobic.

This is my home fabric store. Find about anything in there. I shop the bead area dry. Love the craft area. They just started getting in resin molds and products. Spend a lot of money because I save money. Works for me.

Great fabrics, helpful employees. Even during the pandemic sewing boom, the staff was kind. Finding someone to answer questions was impossible though. It would be great if they could add a few more employees per shift, as those working were in perpetual motion. They definitely deserve raises!

I have been here now multiple times and the staff are always so helpful! Today i went in with anticipation to get a rotary board and cutter and Cheryl was the kindest cashier there. The last time I went there I also saw her working with many customers and giving very helpful feedback and alternatives if they were out of something! This is the only one I go to!!

Very poor service, waited 45+ minutes just to get 1 yard of material. They also let some customer cut line because she wanted more material... disappointed.

Dont order online. If you order online, the curbside program is poor. No idea when it will be done. Naturally, they don’t let you know this upfront. Most places are same day. Not this. They aren’t answering the phone. If you call the national phone number, they’ll tell you to send an email. They have my money. I have no product. Bad form.Update: A week later, still no curbside pickup order finished.2nd update: They finally picked up the phone when I called and told me they dont have what I ordered.

They quoted a price of ~$8, gave me a 20% discount, then added $8 S/H, more than doubling the price. Instead, I bought a similar device from Amazon, and they shipped it for free.

If I could give this negative stars, I would. I ordered online, and they don’t ever really give you a time frame for how long you have to wait to pick it up. I waited a few hours and went to the store. My order wasn’t ready and I was told rather sharply that they had like 90 online orders due to covid, and couldn’t tell me when it would be done.I offered to go pick everything out since I was in the store and was told that wouldn’t work, they’d have to charge me for everything again and then cancel my order in a few days when I didn’t pick it up. Boy am I glad I didn’t do that.I bought everything on amazon instead, and not only was it cheaper, but I actually got my items quickly. Flash forward to a month later, and they STILL HAVEN’T CANCELLED OR REFUNDED my original order. A month, when it was supposed to be refunded after 3 days of not picking up. I bought a sewing machine, so this wasn’t a cheap thing that I’m still out money for.I will never shop at any Jo-Ann’s again thanks to this experience, and I’d strongly recommend at least avoiding this one. Or not shopping online with them. Terrible customer experience all around.

I was searching for a specific yarn color, which I found had been discontinued. Rhiannon, an employee, was so helpful in finding me a skein at a different store, and getting it delivered to this JoAnn’s!

4 stars for the employees being friendly and attentive. The store is smaller and aisles are quite compact, compared to my usual Joanns in Maple Grove.

Joann Fabrics is now offering curbside pick-up for orders. Unfortunately, even though items are in stock when you place an order, they are cancelling some items as they fill orders. Most of these items are out of stock for shipping, so if its cancelled from your curbside pick-up order, youre just out of luck.

Everyone was helpful. Prices are good. It was very quiet in there. Get some music going and spruce the place up a bit. Very bland.

I picked up an online order today and it went quickly and smoothly so I could spend as little time in the store as possible.

Dont let the name fool you. This location is not like the rest of the stores. They have limited items and the selection is awful! If you are wanting a good Joann, I would suggest the Edina location. They have everything you need from home decorations to endless rows of fabric and craft items.

The staff member at the cutting counter was outstanding, very eager to answer my questions and showed me a few tricks when picking out fabric. Made me feel welcome and seemed passionate about her own sewing so I knew she was a credible resource.The cashier was friendly and helped me find coupons which I appreciated. Ill certainly be coming back to this location for my future fabric shopping!

Employees were not wearing masks. Guests were wearing madks which protected the employees. But, the employees were not protecting the guests.

Now, that someone figured out how to hire young people its actually a fast and a fun place to pop in for your craft needs. Last time there were 3 young men helping, taking turns. I was greeted as soon as I stepped into the store and it was just a very pleasant experience! Way to go JoAnn and thank you! From now on Ill be more inclined to venture in ;)

It is tough to only provide two stars however that is my experience with this location. While we are all struggling with the COVID-19 social distancing and stay at home orders from the Governor the Management of this location as implemented policies that deter customers which is in stark contrast to how other retail stores are handling things while at the same time keeping customers and employees safe. Limiting the number of customers inside, I get it, not answering your phone or updating the website with current policies I dont get, promoting ordering on-line and curbside delivery on the website and then not following through at the store is irresponsible. The best way to protect customers is to actually follow through with the curbside delivery as indicated and promoted on your website. I made multiple trips to the store to pick up an on-line order that took 10 days to be filled only to discover lines outside, around the corner to enter the store. They have made no accommodation for a separate line to come in and pick up on-line orders. Other retailers are doing this successfully. I waited in line with others who wanted to shop inside, while self distancing, for over an hour while the handful of customers took their time browsing inside and occupying whatever arbitrary maximum number of people are allowed inside. This happened three times. I gave up each time and went home. Someone from corporate should intercede with the local manager to get the balance right on how to effectively handle the COVID-19 situation. I probably will not shop here in the future, even after COCID has passed. Hello Amazon, oh, hey, I can get what I want delivered in two days at no cost.

Absolute horrible experience except for 2 staff. Went in to buy some fabric at 8:45 pm and wasnt greeted by any of the staff. Marissa was the staff that was at the cutting station watched us walk by when we came in and didnt even say a word. Once we found our fabric. Went to the cutting station and the same employee was having a personal conversation. Marissa one of the staff saw us come in saw us there waiting and walked away and stated to another staff you can help them. Marissa then went to go personal shopping for her own items. The other staff was helpful and considerate. When we went to check out there was the staff Marissa again, she cut in line in front of us and was talking about what a great deal she got and how much money she saved. I understand that it was a great deal, but the lack of customer service was apparent. Deb the who rung us out was fabulous, she was patient and answered all my questions, even helped me look for a coupon. I have worked retail before and in all of my years doing so, I have never been allowed to purchase items while on the clock, ignore customers and cut in line before a paying customer. Im so appalled by Marissa the employee we wont be going back ever. I am only giving the star due to the fact that I have to and Deb and the other employee.

Love this store for my local sewing needs. I have gotten to know some of the employees and have enjoyed their help. I would love to attend a class that they offer someday soon too.

Store is smaller and is kinda tight the way the spacing of the aisle are laid out. Combine that with the troves of people waiting for fabric to be cut and the line 10 people deep at the cashier and its a recipe of extreme anxiety. Do better Joann.

I like Joann and the sales are usually pretty good. This particular location is always short staffed. Some of the staff is very friendly, some quite the opposite. Its a smaller store which is easy to navigate but a lot of times I need to go to Maple Grove because they dont have what Im looking for.

I always love going to JoAnn fabrics. Theres so much to choose from! Prices are always good. The employees know a ton about everything in the store. They are friendly and efficient. Its a great place!

Im looking to start seeing and Michaels was closed, so I popped into Joanns because I wanted to get some basics. Unfortunately, the store was a mess, mostly out of stock, and entirely uninviting, which is hard to do when youre a craft store.

Found the fabrics and supplies that I needed and the personnel were helpful when I misplaced my cart.

They always have the most amazing choice of fabrics and for someone like me who loves to sew and create you cant get anything better than Jo-Anns. Although sometimes their prices can be a little spendy there quality is usually reflective in why their prices might be a little higher. And its not just Fabrics as stated in the name if Joannes doesnt have it you probably cant find it for most things the people are always super friendly the only criticism I have is the way that they make people wait for cutting of the fabric bolts themselves. Theres got to be a better way. Its not like they dont know that thats why people are there that should to me be one of their main focuses is more efficiency and faster turnaround time.

Staff was helpful, and they had a lot of things in stock for us crafters. Sadly the fabric I needed they no longer carried, but they helped me find something comparable.

This place has a good inventory but the store is way too small for the amount of inventory on hand. Store seems very messy and disorganized. Other than people working at fabric there was no one to help customers with questions or inquiries. Checking out was a long process. Not enough checkout people and the one that was there wasnt suited for the task.

Its a normal Joann store but a small one. They cut fabric to the exact inch with no regard to grainline-- if it comes off bolt with crooked grain, the corporate instructs them to just cut it crooked.....well....they are playing a NIMBY game, since anyone who knows how to sew correctly knows you cant expect garments to hang correctly on a body if they are cut off-grain. And if the purchase is off-grain, because corporate wont insist on providing on-grain cuts, then the educated customer is forced to purchase additional fAbric just to ensure it is on-grain. And therein lies the problem: the store should be providing quality fabrics which would include an on-grain cut without additional cost to customer. However since there are literally no independent fabric stores nearby, Joann can get away with these tactics, the customers have no choice. How sad.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store was quite large and had a wide selection fabrics. Things were rather expensive, even with the Labor Day sale prices from our visit. All in all, a good store.

Lots of good things for painting fabric... I love how they had American Folk Plaid brush on fabric paint and even had the metallic type. Lots of nifty fabrics too and nic nacs like magnets, velcro, mirrors, beads, gemstones, etc.

This is the worst Joann store Ive been to. Shelves werent stocked, very few employees, I needed a set of crochet hooks that were locked up, couldnt find anyone to help. I also needed safety eyes that I couldnt locate because aisles arent labeled. Half the yarns were empty and disorganized. The store aisles are kind of tight, I would be concerned someone with a disability would have difficulty maneuvering a chair or scooter through.I will never go to the Ridgedale location again.
