We have always had a great experience here. I believe it was Mike (sorry if I’m wrong) helped us fit skates for my daughter tonight. Mike has always been warm and welcoming and offering assistance when we come in. This afternoon/evening he was very good with her and obviously wanted the best for a growing girl! We appreciate the honesty and him multitasking so well when the store got busy. Everyone was very attentive and my daughter can’t wait to use her new skates and all the other goodies she gathered!
Cade and Mike helped me get into a pair of skates that I love. Great customer service.
Got my sons hockey skates sharpened here today. “Standard sharpening.” He had to take himself out of the game because he couldn’t get his momentum or even stop after the sharpening. I’ve never had this happen after a sharpening. My question now is, how do we correct his skates so that he can use them again?
GM Jim and the rest of the crew are awesome! Have had multiple repairs and profiles done to my skates and they do a great job. Great customer service is what keeps us coming back!
For all your hockey needs ask for Jim hes the best!! Especially good at chassis replacements!
I went into the shop and the sales person didnt know anything about the skates I wanted to buy. They didnt try to find any more information about the skates to help me make a decision. I felt mildly uncomfortable the whole time as the employee didnt really seem interested in providing me good customer service and both of the people working the floor were wearing their masks improperly with their noses hanging way out.
Just got fit for my first new pair of skates in 7 years. Matt the Store Manager did a great job explaining all the options and was extremely patient. Thanks Matt
Remarkably rude employees who simply want to stand around watching hockey replays on the flatscreen displays. More concerned with upselling you to make a few extra bucks than getting your kids into the proper equipment. Same products you can buy anywhere else but at a 10% markup over other stores.
Always helpful and professional!
Great help in the skate department
I needed a new helmet, cage, jock, shoulder pads, and bag. Josh helped me out and made great suggestions within my price range and made the experience very easy and fast. Wide selection of equipment as well. Nice clean store.
They have pretty much everything!
These guys are fantastic at fitting skates for kids!
Great Hockey store with plenty of selection. Prices seemed good. Had skates sharpened and they were done well and fast.
The new GM of the store is fantastic! Very personable and full of knowledge. Will be a frequent customer for all of my hockey needs. He certainly gets it
Talk about a hockey store! They have everything and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They do a great job with everything from fitting me great, to simple share sharpening. Tape selection is good with many choices of tape colors and styles. Sadly they have removed the goaltending equipment from this location recently, so dont go there for any.
Really helpful staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and brought us straight to what we needed. Great service today, thanks!
Good store. skate sharpening is good quality but a little pricey. they have what you need but no goalie equipment.
Staff was very helpful... not pushy... knowledgeable... plenty of selection.... will definitely go back.
Great place. Great prices and A++++ customer service
Great service and always friendly. Skates sharpened in a reasonable amount of time (dont bring them in on Saturday afternoon and you should be fine).Kevin and crew are the real deal.
Great customer service. Lost my receipt from a purchases and they were able to go back pull the receipt and email it to me within minutes.
Good sharpening and value. Great stuff huge selection. They even have a little waiting area with couches and a big screen TV.
Good customer service and wide selection of hockey gear
After working there for a few months my manager stopped scheduling me for no reason without explanation, which was odd but I still enjoyed my time working there. If you want the newest hockey gear as a high level player (9th grade +) then go here, but if youre not looking to spend a lot of money, then someplace like Play it Again is the way to go for beginners, rec league, and younger kids.
They could have had one more person sharpen skates when they have a lot to do. I understand that Minnetonka is not a goalie store...But they should at least have goalie sticks on hand.
Great staff and great prices. Very knowledgeable and no pressure to buy!
Awesome staff here that will spend the time helping you out. Far superior to the punks working at the Bauer store in Bloomington.
Im 46 years old and just learning to skate. I dont and never will play hockey. I want to ice skate for fitness and spend time with my kids. I purchased new skates that came with the factory grind. I asked a co-worker, who is a life-long hockey player and coaches his kids team, where I could get my new skates sharpened. Without hesitation he said, Total Hokey. He explained that they charge more than others, but they have an adjustable skate sharpener to give you the grind you want. Not knowing what grind I wanted, all I could ask him about was the cost. When he replied $6 USD for both skates, I knew I couldnt go wrong. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly young man who saw my skates in hand and asked if they needed sharpening. Upon my affirmative reply he asked what depth of grind I wanted. I replied that I had no idea. He explained that most skaters get a standard grind (which is one-half inch). Others get different grind depths based on specialty or technical needs. Since Im just learning I opted for the standard grind. The sharpening took about 20 minutes so I walked around the store looking at all the hockey products. Every now and then I peeked in on the sharpening process and was pleased with the care and attentiveness the young man demonstrated while handling and sharpening my skates. I was amazed at the difference when my skates were done. Sure enough, the cost was $6 USD. I cant wait to try my newly sharpened skates on ice. Based on the service and selection of products, I will return to Total Hockey for other skating purchases.
Nice selection. However very frustrating that there is often a huge wait to get skates sharpened. Today is over a 3 hour wait. Unacceptable. They should staff accordingly during the peak hockey season.
Solid product selection. Knowledgeable staff.
Service is terrible sales staff needs to be trained on skate sizing and how to fit skates. staff did not even help lace Or even take the skates out of the box when searching for best fit.
Great Place, Very helpful, I came by for skates, and they were very helpful.
Brandon was my skate shapner. He did an awesome job and will return to the store just because of this employee! !
Massive selection, helpful employees, everything you need from just beginning to the pro player.
Good supply of equipment and helpful staff.
The staff their was very nice and extremely helpful.
No goalie equipment, the kid said go to Edina. We did, went to Goalcrease and General Sports.
So much for Total Hockey is your source for Eagle hockey gear. I went in looking for gloves, skate sharpening, and PUCKS. I walked out with dull hockey skates as the line was hours long? They had limited glove selection and were out of PUCKS. For some reason the staff seemed annoyed when I asked for service. Had the feeling none of the staff had ever laced up skates before. Total waste of time
Big store and has what you need.
Great service, fun place!
Came in 10 minutes before they closed to buy skates and they didnt hesitate to help me one bit.
Awesome for my hockey stuff.
I got these pads and when I opened them they looked used they had holes and puck marks on them I want a new set
Good store for hockey equipment
Nice place
